A day full of swords, ships and maps.
This is a moderately sized room with a table that runs the full length of the wall. It's rather stuffy, as there are no windows and only one door. The table is cluttered with all the tools necessary for binding books, stacks of spare parchment and spools of thread, as well as several clay ink pots and quills made of pigeon feathers. There are a great many books set at one end in a neat stack, all of which seem to be damaged in some way. A stack of scrolls, barely readable do to water stains, are on a shelf near the door.

You room-page, "hi"
Silver walks into the room, he looks aroudn to room to see if anyone is there...
Gupthie looks over the map some as well. He points. "Here, it looks like it says 'Here be... something... sailor's graves." He hears someone enter, and turns around. "Hello, Silver!"

Wydran turns as well. "Hi, Silver!" he says with a smile.
Silver smiles."'Ello everyone!"
Gupthie says, "Look, we found another map!"
Silver blinks."You did!?!"
Wydran nods, and blinks. "Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot that I still have to do something. Bye for now," he says, and quickly walks out of the bookbinding room.
Gupthie waves goodbye to Wydran, and says, "Yes. It's a more detailed map of the island itself."
Silver nods."Very nice!"
Gupthie hmms. "You said you've encountered a monitor before? Where do you think monitors would live on this island?"
Silver thinks for a second than says."Well it looks like there are hills in the center the island and there also looks like there are hills there, so that where I would say the would be!"
Gupthie room-pages, "Is that second hills supposed to be something else?".
Gupthie nods. "Alright. Hm. We should probably have this map with us on the quest... but we probably shouldn't take this old scroll. It's falling apart already as is, I can't imagine what the sea air would do to it."
Silver asks."Where did you find this one?"
Gupthie points to the shelf with all the scrolls. "I found it there."
Silver hmm."Do you think anyone else has found this island since they lost the treasure?"
Gupthie shrugs. "I doubt it. It's written on the note that the beast who had it last had despaired of finding the island, and we've only barely been able to find anything with all this searching. In the log the Captain said that if it weren't for a fierce storm taking them off course, he'd never have come across it."
Silver frowns."Than how do we plan to find it?"
Gupthie says, "Well, we'll have to assume the other map is accurate as to placement."
Silver laughs."That sounds like a good plan!"
Gupthie says, "Also, we'll need to be careful where we land so the ship doesn't get damaged on the same rocks that Cap'n Tabuor's ship was."
Silver nods."Yes that would be a good idea!"
Silver asks."But where will we get a ship?"
Gupthie thinks for a minute. "I don't know. Know any sea otters?"
Silver shrugs."No...sorry."
Gupthie says, "Perhaps... no... hm. That's quite an issue, now isn't it?"
Silver nods."Yes...we need to find a way to get a ship before we can do anything else..."
Wydran has arrived.
Gupthie says, "Perhaps we should talk to the abbot or Flicktail. They might know someone who could sell or loan us a ship.".
Wydran looks into the bookbinding room to see if Silver and Gup are still there, and seeing them, he enters the room. "I'm back now. Sorry about that," he says.
Silver laughs."WHy would the abbey own a ship?"
Wydran blinks. "So are we looking into getting a ship now?"
Gupthie laughs. "I don't think it does. But I gather they've both been lots of places and met a great many beasts. They might know someone who owns a ship." He notices Wydran coming in, and says, "Hi, welcome back! Yes, we are discussing a ship."
Silver laughs."Well maybe we could buy one!"
Wydran suggests, "What about the GUOSIM? They're allies of the Abbey, right? And they might know who owns a ship."
Gupthie says, "That's a good idea!"
Silver says."But they stay on the river, they would not have a ship big enough to take to sea!"
>> The game will paws in two minutes to save changed objects. <<
Wydran says, "Yes, but they could know somebeast who owns a ship big enough."
Silver nods."Yes that is true..."
>> Pawsing to save changed objects. <<

Gupthie nods. "And I'm told the Guosim are handy at cooking fare for seafaring."
Wydran asks, "Is anyone in the Abbey familiar with any of the Guosim?"
Silver says."I talked to a shrew a few weeks ago..."
Gupthie shakes his head. "Can't say I've ever met a shrew."
Silver laughs."Rather odd little beasts!"
Wydran says, "Well, we need to contact one of them and ask for help."
Silver nods."Yes we do!"
Gupthie nods. "Perhaps we could all go to the Guosim Camp. All of us going on the quest, I mean. Sort of to get accustomed to travelling with one another."
Silver smiles."That might be fun!"
Wydran room-pages, "we'd have to make a set time though for everyone to be on at the same time on the MUCK.".
Gupthie room-pages, "Yeah. And we'd probably want to OOCly contact the Guosim, too, before we just sort of show up on their doorstep.".
Wydran nods. "Sounds like a good idea!"
Silver laughs."Well I never thought that I would be going on some kind of a quest like this!"
Wydran grins. "I don't think any of us did."
Gupthie nods. "But it'll be great fun."
Silver asks."But still, why would the abbey need the treasure?"
Gupthie says, "Well, in the Captain's log, he said that he was going to donate it to the Abbey so the Order could give the gold to anybeast who'd hit hard times."
Silver nods."Yes that would be a good thing!"
Wydran says, "If we do plan on making this voyage, we're going to have to do a lot of preparation too. This won't be an easy task."
Silver nods."Yeah, we are going to need alot of food and water if we are going to be out at sea, also a few beast who could fight other than me and biff..."
Gupthie says, "Yeah. That'll be important if we're potentially going up against monitors."
Silver asks."Do eather of you know how to use a bow or a sword or something?"
Gupthie shakes his head. "I imagine I could learn, though."
Wydran shakes his head also. "I only have a dagger that I kept with me before I got to Redwall in case I needed to defend myself, but I don't have much weapons training."
Silver nods."Well someone can show you how to use a sword, just so you are not helples in a fight!"
Wydran nods. "I'd be willing to learn."
Gupthie nods. "I think I'd like to learn sword too."
>> The game will paws in two minutes to save changed objects. <<
>> Pawsing to save changed objects. <<
>> Save Complete. Next save will be in an hour or so. <<
Silver smiles."Good, but we will need to get you both some kind of weapon bigger than a dagger before we go :P
Gupthie nods. "Is there a market near Redwall?"
Silver nods."Yeah there is one just north of here!"
Silver laughs."One time honeyfern sold her dirk for a dress and biff just about had a heart attack!"
Gupthie laughs.
Wydran smiles. "So when should we go?"
Silver shrugs."When every you guys feel up to it!"
Biff has arrived.
Biff pokes her head into the room."Is anyone in here?"
Wydran smiles and exclaims, "We are, Biff!"
Gupthie smiles. "Hey, Biff!"
Silver laughs."Come in biff!"
Biff walks into the room and smiles."Hello everyone, how goes it?"
Silver smiles."Its good, might go get gup and wydran a sword to take with them!"
Wydran says, "We also found another map of the island!"
Gupthie nods, and points to the map on the table.
Biff looks at the map and smiles."Well this will be alot of help when we get to the island!"
Silver says."Would you guys want to head up to the market now?"
Gupthie says, "Sure! Sounds like fun!"
Biff smiles."Oh i have been wanting to go there anyway!"
Wydran nods. "Alright."
Silver stands up."Well lets go!"

RW Abbey: Library
The library is disturbingly empty of books and scrolls, and only a small fraction of the knowledge it should be able to hold is actually present and available for perusing. The beautifully crafted windows are well cleaned. Giving the library plenty of light during the daylight hours. This, combined with the room's high vaulted ceiling, causes a rather foreboding play of shadows in the corners and between shelves. The flagstones of the floor are cool and smooth, and echoes of clicks and thumps can be heard quite clearly when beasts walk among the mostly bare shelves. Brass lamps containing short, fat little white candles provide enough light for reading.
Long beams of sunlight stream in through those windows that are not covered over, giving the entire room a light and cheerful feel.

You go through the door to Great Hall.
RW Abbey: Great Hall
The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.
The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.
Red, blue, orange, green...vibrant patterns of color are painted on the floorstones of Great Hall by the high afternoon sun that is streaming through the stained glass windows.

You move outside and into the Abbey Entry..
RW Abbey: Entry
This is a sandy area between Great Hall and the main gates of the Abbey. It obviously gets a great deal of traffic, if one is to judge by the number of pawprints going every which direction here. There is an obvious path leading to the double doors of Great Hall. In places that are not so trampled, new shoots of green grass and budding dandelions are making their presence known.
There is a bustle of activity here, and you can hear the occasional murmur of a passing conversation. The sun is high overhead, and shadows are small. All is bright.

RW Abbey: Main Gate
Only the smallest fractures suggest a earth tremor almost brought Redwall Abbey down to its very feet. But today it still stands, with the sounds of good will and hard work piping over the walls While there are racks and rivulets that show the damage that happened quite some time ago, The abbey beasts are at hard as work ever. As snow has given way to spring, there is so much do do now-- won't you come in?

You step onto the road.
Dirt Road
Mossflower - Dirt Road ---------------------------
On the east side of the road rises the main gate of Redwall Abbey, a massive, ancient structure of red sandstone that nearly obstructs the entirety of the eastern horizon. Here the road has been noticeably better cared for--ruts and potholes are few and far between, and the surface is smoothed and kept free of cropping weeds. Despite this, there is the sense of a thousand pawtreads beneath your feet, taken by beasts long forgotten. Only the Abbey seems a constant, unchanging sentinel--worn and battered by the elements, but still standing tall.

Mossflower - Dirt Road ---------------------------
Southward, the imposing silhouette of Redwall Abbey is framed against the
sky. The sun's gentle glow bathes the Abbey in a nearly angelic
halo, and the pale crimson of the walls is seen clearly even from such a
distance. Casting a broad shadow on the ground, the Abbey walls rise up,
strong and solid. The road is nearly dwarfed by the structure, as is the
smaller building to the north. Flanking the road, a few scattered trees,
white with snow, offer the transition from the northern forests to the
western grasslands.

Dirt Road
Mossflower - Dirt Road -------------------------
Sandy pawprints are tracked upon the road's surface, as stray greenery
emerges in scraggly clumps. The road stretches north and south to the
horizon, offering faint glimpses of buildings in both directions. On
either side of the road, the trees appear more thinly distributed than
they do farther north, and southward the trees dwindle entirely. A
well-traveled dusty path leads west to an impressive structure; walls
very much like a castle's in design. A trail of flowers lines the path
to the building, straight as though planted, yet no sign of present
civilization is offered. With the sun's glow reflecting off the
leaves, the summer landscape is pleasurable enough.

Woodland
The road is not far away, and here, the woodland is not so dense. Indeed, leading between the trees, off of the road and through the woods, is a path, wide enough to risk a cart. Indeed, you might see cart tracks upon the ground here. A wooden sign,, hanging from a tree branch, points along the path, into the woods. It reads; 'Mossflower Wodeland Market'.

Path to Market
An earthen path, packed down and well trodden, leads from the clearing between the trees of a gradually sparser woodland. It's kept wide enough for a cart and, indeed, cart tracks might be seen upon the path. The occasional chirp of a bird might be heard from amongst the trees.

Market Gateway
Though the market lacks a fence around it, being surrounded by the woodland, it does boast a welcome little force of constables and wardens, who might be seen mingling in the crowds as well as patrolling the edges. Three of four wardens can always be found to linger here, at the path end, where they might collect rent money for a stall or a small fee from traders. They're also on hand to help keep the peace and deal with any accusations of theft or quell the practice of fore-stalling. A large sign, hung between two tall posts, reads; 'Welcome to Mossflower Wodeland Market'.

Market Foreground
Here, in the immediate section of the market, is a somewhat muddy, grass area. Stalls can be seen, off in the further section, but here the traders sit upon blankets or stand and mingle with buyers. Wardens might be seen, patrolling or just wandering about, equipped with a blackjack and, perhaps, their own knife here and there. Entertainers and foodsellers also walk here, while there are seating logs set around in no particular pattern, should a weary shopper wish to rest.

Gupthie has arrived.
.
Biff has arrived.
Wydran has arrived.
Silver walks into the market, he has his daggers with him and a bag with some stuff he plans to trade with...
Gupthie follows closely behind, taking in all the sights and sounds of this unfamiliar marketplace.
Wydran follows, a bit behind the others, looking around at everything in the market.
Biff walks behind silver, she looks around at all the traders and smiles...
Silver starts talking to a beast who is selling old swords and other weapons...
You say, "Wydran, gup, try to find something that will work for you."
Gupthie looks around at the swords. He asks, "Can I pick one up to see how it feels?"
Wydran stares at the array of different weapons, looking at each of them closely.
The trader nods to the mouse."Go ahaid lad, just dont hurt your self!"
Gupthie nods, and grabs a broadsword off the shelf. He immediately discovers that he can't hardly even lift it off the ground.
Biff walks around on her own looking at everything that is for sale...
The trader laughs and hands guptie a smaller sword."Try this!"
Gupthie tries the sword he's handed. "I like this one much better. This kind's called a shortsword, right?"
Wydran watches Gupthie try out a sword, though he hasn't chosen one for himself yet.
The trader nods."Yes, its a very nice sword also, Do you wish to buy it?"
Gupthie turns to Silver. "Silver, what do you think? Should I get this one?"
Silver smiles."Well do you like it?"
Biff starts looking at a few things a old rat is selling...
Gupthie nods. "Yes, I think I do."
Silver talks to the trader, soon he makes a deal and gives him some food and a tunic...
The trader gives gupthie his sword...
Silver looks at wydran."Have you found something you like?"
Wydran blinks. "I-er, no..." He looks back at the various weapons on display.
Silver laughs."Well take your time, this is something that could save your life you know!"
Biff is still talking to the old rat...

Gupthie asks Silver, "Hey, Silver, can you carry my sword? I don't exactly have anywhere for it in my habit."
Silver nods and sticks the sword right next to his...
Silver laughs."Its a rather nice sword!"
You room-page, "your pose wydran :P"
Wydran looks over each weapon quickly, he doesn't want to have the others wait for him, but can't seem to make a decision. He gingerly picks one up, then frowns, putting it back, and repeats this with a couple others.
Wydran pages, "seriously wishing I knew ANYTHING about weaponry right now..." to you.
Silver says."HOw about a cutless wydrand?"
Biff looks over at her friends for a second before going back to talking with the rat...
Gupthie goes over to see what Biff's doing.
Biff room-pages, "we can have her buy the ship after you guys finsh up with the buying of the swords".
Biff smiles."Ah gupthie, this rat says that he as been on the seas most of his life, maybe he know about the island!"
The rat asks."And what island are you talking about miss?"
Gupthie, answering for Biff, says, "Umbra Island."
Wydran blinks. "Er, I don't know." He picks one up and looks it over. "Hmm, do you think this is good for me, Silver?"
Silver nods."Yeah, seems like something an otter would use!"
The rat laughs."Dont tell me you plan on going THERE...you kids will not even make it of the beach!"
Biff nods."In fact we do!"
Wydran moves the cutlass around a bit in his paw, then slowly nods. "Alright, Silver."
Gupthie says, "Well, we're not the only ones going."
Silver nods and trades whats left of the food and a coin or two and gives the sword to wydran."Dont worry, its a good fit for you!"
THe rat nods."Well how do you plan on geting there?"
Wydran says, "Thank you, Silver. Sorry that took so long, I..." He bites his lip as his voice trails off. "Let's go over to Biff and Gupthie."
Silver nods and walks over to the two...
Biff laughs."Well we are going to take a ship i would think!"
Gupthie says, "First we have to get a ship."
The rat smiles a little."Is it a ship you need....well I might have something...but its not free..."
Biff asks."Well wot would you want?"
Silver watches the two...
The rat says."Well it will cost a good bit...I have had this ship for a long time dont want to give it up all that much..."
Biff thinks for a second than pulls a small bag out of her back pack."How about 20 gold coins?"
Silver blinks."Where did you get that biff?"
Gupthie whistles at the mention of 20 gold coins. He's never even seen but maybe 2 gold coins in his life.
The rat is a bit shocked that the doe has that meny coins with her...after a few second of thinking he says."Well this is a ship miss, I am going to want a little more than that..."
Biff looks at silver and laughs."Umm its a long story...i will tell you guys when we get back to the abbey..."She looks at the rat and frowns."Well wot do you want?"
The rat stand up and looks around he stops in behind silver and grabs his sword and shows it to biff."How about this and the coins?"
Silver blinks as his sword is taken...
Biff thinks for a second than nods."Yeah that will work!"She shakes the rats paw and gives him the coins."So where is my ship?"
Silver gasps as his sword is traded to the rat...
Gupthie asks, "But... isn't Silver gonna need his sword where we're going?"
The rat smiles being much happer now."Well it is on the sea silly hare, I can keep an eye on it untell you are redy to go if you want!"
Biff looks at gupthie."He has his dagger and that dirk of his, he will be fine!"
Wydran watches the others make the deal with the rat, standing off from a bit of a distance.
Biff smiles."Yes, will you get it ready to go out to sea for us?"
Silver frowns but does not say anything...he is to upset that his sword is gone...and he traded all the pie for gupthie and wydrans sword...
The rat nods."Yes...I will have it set and ready for you to set sail when ever you are!"
Biff nods."Very good."She looks at the rest of the group."Well should we get back to the abbey?"
Silver nods."Yes...I guess we should..."
Gupthie nods. "Yes."
Biff smiles."Than lets go!"
Soon after geting back to the abbey everyone goes to bed...
