Short role play in the infirm with Rayen,Juliana, and Brother

Rayen is sitting in the infirm with Juliana and sighs looking concerned as the young dibbun fox with her quietly traces the design in a pillow on the cot.

Leon walks in and nods a hello "Rayen..Juliana, is there something I can do? I was about to go on a small quick trip with my son and a novice. I shouldn't be gone too long for any beast to worry and we will have Thunderwing with us"

Rayen speaks "I am fine, I was just concern for Juliana as she is always so quiet and unless she is looking at some beast she seems to not pay attention to them. She also doesn’t play with the other dibbuns like one would think she would, she always stays by herself or close to Oz , or me when she sees me close. Or am I being just an over worried mom?"

Juliana meanwhile seems to get bored of the pillow and then sees Leon and smiles a little. She stays seated on the cot as that’s where she was put so she stays seated for now.

Leon smiles and walks over "Hello Juliana" He nods to the vixen "Well, it’s not a bad thing to be concern as she could be shy. I can give her a checkup if you like. Right now she doesn't seem ill" He will feel her forehead and take the dibbuns pulse. “Does she eat well? Has she said anything, I am sure she knows a few words now being I believe a little over a season now if understood right"

Rayen says, "She is almost 2 seasons now so a season and a half and that’s another thing she doesn’t talk..she has said mama once and she can say Oz but usually it’s pointing or taping on the side of an adult to be picked up, she whimpers when it seems she is upset. She does eat very good so that’s not a concern of mine and she sleeps well too""

Juliana has no fever and her pulse, even her breathing is just fine. She holds very still for the healer and stays quiet.

Leon hmmms "All seems fine." He checks eyes and nose, mouth and even teeth and looks inside her ears.

Rayen nods , "But why is she always so quiet and seems to not want to play with the other dibbuns? I mean she minds...well fairly well, sometimes I have to shout or get her to look at me when it’s time to go  inside and even Sister Ginny mentioned that, it’s a little hard to get her attention sometimes but overall she is a good dibbun and never gets into trouble like some her age seem to do"

Leon hmmms as he thinks speaks to Juliana but he waits till she looks away from him talking soft and then louder "Juliana? Hey you doing ok can you look at me, do you hear me?" He watches the dibbun closely.

Juliana doesn't look back at the mouse, least right away and she just happens to look that way and then smiles a little, but she also frowns some as she seems to study him also and then whimpers snuggling into Rayen “Mama..."

Rayen frowns "What are you doing?" She does notice and this makes her frown “Is something wrong with her?" She hugs the dibbun close and looks at her face speaking to her "Juliana, whats wrong? You feel ill or hurt?"

The dibbun responds a little but its only after a short while of looking at her mother and she just shrugs at first, then shakes her head and stays close to her, she then slides down to the floor and stays close still.

Leon answers after watching Juliana some more "She may have a problem hearing. I know she was born early and it was around the same time I left for the trip to the western shore, it could of had a factor one never knows. But it doesn’t mean she wouldn't be able to have as close to normal life as she can. We have a couple blind beasts in the abbey who get by just fine. Take me for example I am missing a paw but learned to live with it and I am fine. One wouldn’t even think I had a paw missing still and Juliana is a dibbun, dibbuns have a way of handing things sometimes better than we do. Make sure when someone needs her attention they get into her line of vision."

Rayen frowns deeply now “Hearing problem, you mean she is deaf?" Great something to worry on, she sighs "It would explain why Oz has had some trouble with her, he can’t see to make sure she is facing him, Sister Ginny mentioned that but she still has ways of letting him know when she wants carried and she stays close to him." Meanwhile the dibbun yawns and lays down for a nap.

Leon says, "I think...near deaf, not fully but it could become fully or just stay the way it is. She could maybe get a little better we would have to wait and see. I would not worry bout her not playing with the other dibbuns. She could simply feel to...well I am unsure..closed in maybe? I she is happier beside you, Oz or Flicktail then let her do that and also don’t force her to play with other dibbuns, just let her decide on her own. Your see things will be ok, I promise."

Rayen nods and goes to hug the healer "I will try not to worry, thank you Leon"

Leon smiles and allows the hug, giving one of his own in return "I will let Angela know, in fact I can do that now as me and Caleb need to head out soon" He nods to a novice shrew who enters "Oh Novice Pine, just in time to head out, let’s go" The novice blinks and then follows the Master healer on outside, to the gatehouse and then soon on side with Thunderwing .
