A Morning for Otters
Characters: Aikuen, Fira
Location: River Moss
Its now morning, over Mossflower, and the morning birds are now signing their song. Besides the squirrel that showed up last night, the rest of the evening had been uneventful, mostly. It had gotten a little chilly last night, since they are much nearer water of the river moss. The otters had curled up together to keep each other warm. They didn't have too, as it wasn't that cold, but hey! Aik pops open his eyes as one of the birds chirp quite loudly near them. He blinks a few times, and looks over to his wife, and smiles. She is so beautiful while she sleeps... so peaceful. He watches her sleep on for a few minutes before deciding to become an otter alarm clock. He pulls her closer, to put her in of his tight embraces. He starts to nuzzle her cheeks, and then slowly start to kiss her. Then the otter licks her from chin to nose, before going back to nuzzle her. If she doesn't wake, he will do it again, which he doesn't mind.
Fira is quite comfortably sleeping until she's moved, one eye blearily opening "Mm?" with the nuzzle she's waking up a little more and a bit disoriented. Takes her until the kisses before her brain really wakes up enough and there's a second where she tenses up before she finally gets her eyes to focus on him. She smiles sleepily at him "Mornin'..."
Aikuen scoots his head back so she can read him properly, though he still doesn't let go of the embrace. He smiles sleepily back at her, though he is already wide awake, "Morning Fi..." he chuckles, "Have a nice sleep? I know i did!" he grins.
Fira doesn't do so well with lip reading first thing in the morning sometimes. The eyes are still sleepy, thankfully though morning responses aren't usually difficult to predict and she leans back over to give him a little kiss before mumbling a response "Mmm, yeah, cosy and under the stars. Forgot how good travelling could be"
Aikuen smiles, and starts to rub her side, "Yep... all cosy with you...and such, Good... especially when you don't have to sleep with dagger in paw... I love traveling... never could do it much, without fear of being killed..." he realizes he may be ruining the moment, "I particular like traveling with you... You are a much better traveling companion then some of my comrades back in the day... because i couldn't do this!" he grins and pins her to the ground, and kisses her neck like he likes to, "Well i could have, but that would have been awkward!" he laughs.
Fira eeks and then laughs at the pinning, just allowing him to "Yeah, I can imagine they might not have liked it so much!...Glad for the lack of daggers too, not so fun for the cuddling" she's smirking again.
Aikuen grins at her, "I don't know... one of them kinda liked it... Hahahahah! I'm just being stupid!" he laughs, and nuzzles her closely, before letting her free of the pin, "The daggers just get in the way... So i made them disappear!" he smirks back at her, "Come mere!" he laughs, and kisses her, before rubbing his nose against hers. Ah, its a good morning.
Fira looks faintly surprised at the joke but then she's back to just smirking again, sitting back up once she's free "Wasn't going to ask" she eeks again as the nuzzles return "You're going to nuzzle me slowly out of existence as this rate" not that she's complaining judging by the laughter that follows.
Aikuen smiles and goes to hold her while they are sitting up, "Oh No! But! But i can stop doing it! Who will i nuzzle when your gone! Not Kentar! eck!" he nuzzles her again, and laughs. He likes this, not a care in the world, his wife in his arms, both laughing up a storm. He smiles and kisses her long before saying, "I realize... at this rate... were never going to get to your holt... Not that i dont mind much..." he grins, and slowly rubs her side, and maybe tickle her if he gets the chance.
Fira continues to laugh and goes to bat him playfully away, though a second later she's moving to wrap her arms round him and flop against his side, enjoy the kiss before replying "Oh we can make it there within the day, plenty of time to mess about with"
Aikuen replaces his paw around her to more comfortably lay them, and rub her in the process, "Really? We're that near? Hmm..." he grins, "Well! Oh gorgeous wife of mine... What shall we do! What shall we do!" he chuckles, "Much time to mess about with...we could... lay her, being lazy... or we can pack up and head off now..." he goes to tickle her in the side, "Nah... I think staying here for a little while longer...just me... and you... you and me... would be a good thing!" he laughs.
Fira smirks at him "We made good time with the river. I didn't say we'd get there /early/ today though" she has to squirm away when the tickling starts though "Ah! No, no tickling" laughing once more.
Aikuen chuckles and scoots to follow her, to continue his tirade of tickling her, "You like it! You know it! Hehehe!" he laughs a little, and continues on till she tires out. He grabs her during one of the squirms, and brings her closer to him, to let her rest against him "You... are the best otter ever... Your fun to be around, your smart, funny... beautiful..." he grins drunkenly. Smirking back at her, he then kisses her, "Its all true!... You complete my world...I love you Fi!" he smiles, going to stare at her.
Fira laughs and continues to try and escape while fending off the tickles with her paws right up until she's captured and pulled back again. She sticks her tongue out at him, well until she kisses him back anyway, after that she's just smirking again "Love you too ever if you are a big rough evil tickling monster"
Aikuen glowers at her and says, "Roar!" then laughs. He sighs, "Yeah! I'm a Big rough evil tickling monster... OF FIRA'S!" he makes a motion to start tickling her again, but then plants a kiss on her, before just going to rub her leg. If you haven't guessed it by now, Aik is being very excitable today. And why not! "I feel good... With you and me here... no other place i rather be..." he sighs.
Fira laughs at the roar but starts to back away at the threat of further tickles until it turns into a kiss anyway. She kisses him back of course and he gets a smile "I don't think it's the place so much as the company"
Aikuen smiles, "Best company in the world... any other beast just wont cut it. It has to be you... and only you!" he chuckles, and starts to kiss her more forcefully than he would normally for just a little kiss, and his body starts to lean into it. He pins her to the ground again and licks her nose, "Tasty..." he grins and starts to nibble on her lips. After a bit, he growls quietly, and bites down lightly. He realized what he did and he dislodges his lips from hers, "Oh gezze... I'm so Sorry... I just got... carried away..." He unpins her and sits up scratching his head.
Fira smirks again "Wouldn't tell the others that" she doesn't complain about the kiss or the closeness. Lick gets a chuckle, nibble's alright and she completely misses the growl for obvious reasons. The bite is a little odd, even a hint of a brow raising. She slowly sits up when he backs off again though "No harm done, just don't draw blood. Now come back here" she moves to loop an arm round his neck then and pull him back to kiss him again.
Aikuen tilts his head, "I'm still sor- Mmmm" as he doesn't get any farther as she pulls him back to lock lips again. He doesn't complain one bit, he just chuckles at their bravado of things. He leans back to let her get on top of him, continuing to kiss her, like he likes too.
Fira pulls away to lay her head on his chest, going to take a little nap after all that kissing. She pulls herself closer, and stretches a leg over his own, "My tickle monster" she says with a smirk.
Its now getting to be about noon, and yet the otters have yet to leave their campsite. Aik is resting, laying on his back on the cloth. Fira is cuddled up to him, her head laying on his chest, one of her legs is wrapped around one of his, as she rests against him. Aik has an arm wrapped around her, paw placed on her back. Both otters have a small smile on their faces. Aik finally awakens, when the heat of the day is finally starting to get to him and he creaks an eye open. He groans, and looks around at where he is, "Ung... Wheh..." he looks to Fira and smiles drunkenly, and goes back to rest if he can, pulling her closer, which is not even possible. So he just holds her tightly.
The movement stirs Fira from her nap and with a sleepy "Hmmm?" she opens and eye and finally shifts, snuggles up to him. If only she could just doze off again but darn lip reading doesn't work with eyelids in the way. She rests her head on his chest, looking up at him "...We're not doing well with this travelling thing"
Aikuen grins and shakes his head, "Hmm? No... I guess not!" He chuckles, "But does it matter much? I mean, im having fun!" he laughs, and rubs her back, "Maybe we should get going... maybe..." he hmms and snuggles up to her also, and sighs.
Fira smirks at him and after a moment leans up to give his nose a little kiss "Come on...If we hang about much longer something's bound to come along spoil the peace, we're pushing our luck...It's not like we can't lounge about at the holt too"
Aikuen bobs his head in a nod, "Yah... I'm just waiting for Kentar to come bounding from the trees... But at least were alone for what it was worth" he smiles and kisses her nose back, "Hmmm... holt lounging... sounds fun!... " he sighs, "Well, Lets get hitting the road... But first!" he laughs and stands up bringing Fira along with him in his arms, "I have a tasty fish to deal with!" he laughs and walks around the camp with her in his arms.
Fira hushes him "Don't say such things, he'll suddenly turn up with some emergency back home and we'll have to turn back. Soon as we're to the holt we're completely off the map...well, I may have drawn it on one map but can bet they'll never find it" she smirks again, letting him pull her back up "Oh is it me who's the fish again? You know I'm going to just be a pike and cause so much trouble"
Aikuen sets her back down, and looks into her eyes, "Fira? The pike-fish? Hmmm? Just don't bite me... too hard..." he smirks at her and kisses her nose again, "Come on, oh Pike-fish of mine..." he rubs at her sides, "Lets head off... and disappear off any map... I don't want to even think about what may be going on at home... this is week... its just you, me... and your holt." he grins and kisses her once more before putting out the coals in the fire. Looks like he actually dismantling camp, not just saying it this time.
Fira smirks back "No promises" she stretches just after the kiss, starting to help pack things up again "Mmm. I do love the alone time. I mean I love the others too and I'll be happy to see them again, even Amy's got to the point where I'm used to her but we've never really had more than a day with you and me since we first met even...It's nice"
Aikuen takes the folded cloth from Fira and stuffs it in his pack. He nods at her, "I love them too... but there is a point where it just needs to be us, by ourselves... Like these little get away's... All by our lonesome's... Just the Tazan's" he grins, and strokes her paw, "I'm already enjoying it!" he chuckles.
Fira leans over to give him a quick cuddle and a kiss on the cheek "Can't help but enjoy it. Nice and peaceful" she moves away again to grab her bag and get hold of her spear again. That's her ready again "Got to admit, part of me missed the travelling too"
Aikuen is distracted at the cuddle and the kiss. He mmms, before he lets go of her. He continues to stare at her until she speaks again. Have to say words now, "Me too Fi. Course i got enough traveling when i was younger, in the militia... I still love it...Next time we go someplace... Lets make sure its far away..." he chuckles and sets the pack on his back. He checks around the camp to see if he missed anything. Nope, got everything. He goes to stand next to her, give her rudder a pat, and her lips and kiss, "Come on lovely... lead the way!" he winks at her.
Fira smirks back at him "Well can't travel too much, I don't know if Will would be too thrilled if I went and stole his father away more than I already might have" concerns her sometimes. She aims her rudder back at his leg, give it a little bat in return with a small grin "Just try and keep up" and she moves off down the bank.
Aikuen nods, "Oh aye, but he will be concerned with other things soon enough..." he shrugs, and chuckles at the rudder tap, "Hey that was..." he looks up, "HEY! Come mere... you little..." he grins and bites his lip, before running after her, laughing, "Get back here you sneaky otter!" he catches up and goes to wrap an arm around her.
Fira grins back at him but she's not exactly going fast enough that he can't easily catch up. She laughs quietly when he does finally catch up "Us pike-fish are slippery folks"
Aikuen chuckles and holds her extra close with both paws, "Don't worry, you Pike-fish you... ill just have to hold you close, so you cant swim away from me..." he grins and squeezes her tightly and picks her up a little bit, "Don't go swimming away from me now!" he laughs and sets her back down, so she can continue to lead him. He gives her a small kiss, "Still tasty though"
Fira eeks once more when she leaves the ground but she's soon regained contact again "Well I don't think I'm going to complain about that. Just remember ever if I'm apparently tasty I can bite back"
Aikuen continues to hold her close, as he follows her, "Well... i'm not going to complain about that..." he grins and plants another kiss on her. Both otters head down the bank, just padding along arms around each other. Its a good day, as both otters head to her holt. Aik chuckles, "I love you Fi!" he sing songs. And Fira just smirks at him.
