A Great Day continued

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Xia goes job hunting.

Continues directly from 'A great day...not really.'

Xia and Bandit belong to me, technically so does Basilisk but i'm letting Dorarose use him because I will be moving soon and my role play time is going to crash. Blisa and Ferdy belong to Dora Rose

Both fox's subconsciously rub their necks. They can't imagine such a fate would be too pleasant. Xia is the first to recover however. After all, her lively hood is on the line, "Sorry to hear about your friend little one." The vixen says, using her halberd as a crutch of sorts as she hobbles forward, bending slowly to one knee so she is eye to eye with the kitten. "Don't worry, I'm sure they will catch who ever did this..."

Xia and Bandit belong to me, technically so does Basilisk but i'm letting Dorarose use him because I will be moving soon and my role play time is going to crash soon.

Blisa nods, then breaths in a shaky breath and slowly lets it out again. "I hope so. Thank you." Ferdinand purses his lips as he nods to his boss. "I already do that," he mutters after his boss is gone. Basilisk gets one of the most frightening looks on his face as he smiles with glee. "I wonder how thiss assssassssin woudl tasste with cheesssse....."

Bandit takes one glance at the snake to his left then steps away from him. If the gluttonous fox wasn't waiting on his dinner he would have booked it right out of there. Xia however just tries to ignore her simular insticts telling her to run like heck around the beast. Instead she pushes the subject that she came in for.

"Hey Blisa, can I call you Blisa?" She continues even before the kitten can answer, "I...need a favor. Remember that time, not so long ago when I saved you from the kidnapper? One of your kidnappers at least, remember that?" She flashed her teeth in a big wide smile, "I'm a little down on my luck, turns out not too many people will hire a body guard with after she takes an arrow to the foot." And you're father is bound to go along with what ever you say, she thinks, after all, he DID let her keep a bleedin SNAKE. "You wouldn't happen to have any openings somewhere...anywhere?"

The young cat blinks. "Uh, yeah, my name's Blisa, so I would think it'd be alright for you to call me that. And how'd you get shot with an arrow?" Ferdinand eyes the vixen suspiciously, then glares at the snake. "Remember what Mith Blitha thaid!" Basilisk hisses slightly, then whines, "But I love cheesssse! It's not my fault that it makesss me get sssstuck in doorwayssss!"

The vixen's eyes widen out and she begins to snivel. "I was merclessly robbed by some badnits out on the roadway." She said with a sniff. As she spoke Bandit's dinner arrived. "Finally!" He shouted as a steaming hot plate of wood pigeon arrived. It was baked to a tender golden brown and served on a bed of rice. The fox imminently dug into his meal.

With her nose sensing cooked food nearby it became hard for Xia to retain her composure, "They...they killed off my wood pigeons, er friends, and took all our meat! I mean gold!" Her stomach growled and she sighed, "I havn't been able to take a job since after they shot me in the paw with an arrow..."

Bandit caught sight of the fox eyeing his meal. He quickly leaned over it and scooted away to eat his meal in peace. Bandit isn't one to give handouts. Or would that be pawouts?

Blisa crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow. "Uh-huh. Really? Well, that stinks, but I have about 10 guards and a snake. Why not try to do somethign that doesn't involve walkign until your foot's better, then tryign to be a Ferravale guard?" Ferdinand rolls his eyes at the snake and orders some tea, refusing to drink achohol while still on duty. Basil sighs and starts to slither over to the male fox, eyeing his food. "Iss that......woodpigeon?" He asks, giving his best baby-snake-eyes look.

The cute baby snake look doesn't quite have the same effect when said snake can devour you whole...and leans forward almost snout to snout. Bandit is given a terrible choice, either give up his food to the snake, or fill his own greedy gut and risk filling the snakes greedy gut afterward. A long moment passes before the fox slides his food away from the snake and begins to wolf it down like a scavanger realizing the preditor is about to return to its kill...that he is stealing.

"That's just the thing...I, I don't have many skill's that are suitable for an easy life..." The vixen rubs her arm nervously, the thought of being a guard actually terrifies her, being tied to one place. But she isn't one to burn bridges. "Unless the guard have a sedentary post to fill until me paw heals up..."

Basilisk whimpers and tries to look like a starving reptile....forget the fact that he still needs to lose allot of weight. Blisa sniffs, then rubs her nose with a finger, mutters, "I'll....I'll see if anyone can....can teach you how....how to sew...or something..." and she then dashes out, still really sad that her friend the healer was murdered. Ferdinand groans, gulps down his tea, then runs after her, his long, lithe legs helping his catch up quickly. Basil sighs and slowly follows, hissing something about how he needs some cheese buns ot make up for all this slithering around.
