Salamandastron: Recreation Room

A one-legged doe who runs a tavern is a hard thing to forget, and since most of the rec room's patrons are also Keita's patrons, she has a small crowd gathered around her where she sits at a small table over toward the fireplace. She's seated, obviously, what with the lack of a leg. Her remaining leg is dangled over one of the arms of the armchair. "Don't even know what yer all doin' here, 'stead of back in Halyard. Oughta ban the lotta you fer desertin'. Tch."

Entering the room, Jarril has had a long day, finally thankful that his day is over. Walking slowly through the crowds he makes his way towards the bar and finally leans against it. "Ale.." He says quietly while looking about the place, unable to see Keita yet due to the crowds, although he lifts an ear questionably to the crowd in that part of the room.

Apparently following a question, Keita snorts loudly and shakes her head. "... Like I'd give ya anything t' drink /now/. You c'n just drink the sewah watah they're servin' up here." Apparently to make her point - even if she is joking - she pulls out her flask, unscrewing it in order to take a sip. Mmm, good drink.

Jarril nods at the squirrel who has served him and then takes a sip from the ale, which at the moment is good enough for him. Coughing he hears what has been said and he shakes his head before upping his voice. "Now, now Keita deah. Not proper ta tease potential customers like that, wot."

"Well, they ain't m'customahs righ' now, are they?" This is Keita's flippant reply before she takes the time to turn about, glancing over her shoulder with a smirk. There's old JarJar. "'Ey, mate. What brings ya t' this dive?"

The door opens and two privates walk in, chattering excitedly to one another. One of them is dressed as a healer and has a sheath of notes in one paw and the other is Quinten, dyed black from head to toe and gesturing at the notes and talking about mixtures and measurements.

Jarril smiles back. "I've been on duty for a day and a half but don't ya dare tell Zoe about that one, she kill me or worse. I was ta tired in making it over ta ya place. Although I should at one point." The hare paying for his drink as he speaks.

Keita's eyebrows go up. From the look of her, telling Zoe is the last thing on her mind. Thus the eyebrow raise. Mm-hm. "... Aye. Ya ought. We're doin' pretty well these days. Donno what m'doin' here, t'be honest. Guess I've just got t' many employees, these days. Nothin' left for 'n ole cripple t' do." She smirks and starts to stand, parting the small crowd around her as she limps over Jar's way.

The squirrel gives Keita a bit of a frown as Jarril looks at her and says something quietly. Seeing her nod, she moves off to tend to another thirsty hare as Jarril moves his attention to where Keita is. "Well, ya are here so mind if ya have a bit more respect for the establishment here." He smiles a bit more, taking a sip of his ale. "Anyways, anything happen since I went off babysitting?"

Quinten moves up to the bar with his companion and they spread their notes out between them before plumping themselves down on a stool. Blisfully unaware of the Major or Keita they set about chatting about the number of flowers they have stored away.

"I hate t' disappoint, but if respect's what's needed, I migh' just have t' leave." She sends a cheeky grin the squirrel's way, then drops a wink. Mwah. Haha. "Eh. Nah, not so's I c'n think. Same old same old, ya know?" Mm-hm.

Hmms as Jarril stares at Keita. "Oh come on, surely something must've happened while I was at the abbey trying ta keep the young ones under control."

Quinten ears swivel as he picks up a familiar voice and rather uncomfortable words as well. "Abbey and control mainly.' The young buck looks at Crispinell and quickly gathers up his notes and goes to drag him away to find a safer corner to chat in.

To show what perhaps /did/ happen, Zeraph moves into the room at that exact moment - looking a little lopsided. Did he change something? Maybe it's the missing shoulder patch which causes him to seem somewhat different.. and perhaps rather grumpy. That expression falters to gain a look of surprise, then anger as he sees Keita. "K! What'd you do with it?!" The voice of doom, breaking through the noise of the area.

"Uhhhhh. Zoe got ugliah?" This is Keita's helpful suggestion, with her eyebrows raised in a hopeful manner. Does that work? XD She smirks rather cheekily and turns all 'round, considering the rec room curiously. It's not really /so/ bad, you know, maybe if it had just a little atmosphere, a couple throw rugs here, an angry-looking Zeraph there... Waitwaitwait. That's not right. Keita does a double-take, her brow furrowing as she focuses in on the displeased looking buck. Hum. "Do with what, now?"

Jarril has already looked in the direction of where Zeraph is and is about to say something but will hope that he see's that he is there. Moving to a standing position, he just looks at Zeraph questionably about his conduct at this moment in time.

Quinten looks at the other private and they both seem to come to a joint decision. Being here, at this moment in time is probably a bad idea. They both start for the door, going to walk past Jarril and Zeraph as quickly as they can and away, with a chorus of hasty, "Excuse me sah's." to Jarril and Zeraph they break for the door hoping to get out and away.

Ever seen an angry point? It looks more like a jab. A very vicious one. Zeraph doesn't gesture this finger towards Keita but instead to his shoulder. His gaze from her is only broken when Quiten and his cohort push through, then he glances at Jarril right before starting towards the doe. "I know you got it. Just like when you had my uniform."

"You mean jus' like when you /violently/ threw my clothin' out the window?" Ahem-hem-hem. Keita smirks, but /quickly/ does what a bartend does best when things 'heat up'. She ducks behind the counter, putting the nicely-sized bar between herself and Zeraph. Her grin is /ever/ so innocent and disarming, really, and she spreads her arms wide as she scooches past a /very/ surprised hare trying to do his 'tending job. "Patch? What patch? Nevah seen a shouldah patch a day in m'life. Always wanted t' own a patch, I did. This one time I /almost/ had m'own patch, but that jus' fizzled out. Ya know how that c'n happen." Grin-grin.

Rolling his eyes, er eye. Jarril lifts a paw up and coughs. "Now, c'n we at least get some ordah back in here. Zeraph, go and get a new shoulder patch, instead of disturbing the peace of other hare's trying ta relax." The major gives Zeraph a frown at the end of this one. "Ya starting ta act like a recruit." Turning his head towards Keita. "And as for ya, I don't care if ya did take it or not but in any case, just stop whatever ya two are doing."

Quinten is gone with his healer friend rather sharpish, back out into the corridor and away to safety. Some dark corner in the wine cellar probably where they can get a drink without hyperactive officers and mad bar keepers getting in the way of their great chemical discoveries.

Zeraph gives Jarril a look. That's just what it would be described as. A look. Which might get him in trouble, but he does clear his throat and then mutters out. "Sorry, /sah/, but I intend on getting the thief to give me it back." The buck watches Keita as she sidles along the bar and just kind of moves with her. "Give it back, K." He isn't acting like a recruit. The authority in his voice /isn't/ juvenile. But they ARE acting like elementary school students with this back-and-forth stealing of.. things. At least he's got more of a level tone now. This from the officer who doesn't do things out of line with superiors.

GASP! Thief? THIEF? How dare he call her an - oh. Wait. She digs in her pocket, eyebrows going up. When her paw comes out, it is with patch in paw. "Oh! You meant /THIS/ ole thing? I jus' found it on the ground, I did. Hardly even a patch, really, just a slip o' cloth. Patrol always did cheap out on the uniforms 'n' such." Tsk-tsk-tsk. She shaaaakes her head. Disgraceful, really. She looks Jarril's way next, with another disarming grin. She gives a playful roll of her eyes. "Oh, lighten /up/, mate. This is a bloody tavern, or at least that's what ya /try/ t' call it."

Jarril just shakes his head. "Aye well, I leave ya two ta work something out. I have other things ta do." He doesn't look at either Keita or Zeraph as he walks off and heads out of the room.

Zeraph ignores Jarril. Ha! That's right! Maybe the Major is losing respect? The numbers are rising against him. Anyway, the Lieutenant gives a 'oh how convenient' sort of smirk to Keita, right before snatching the officer patch back from her. "Odd doe. Someone should tell you to act your age." And - following his own advice - he sticks his tongue out at her, right before going to walk off.

Well, if he's close enough to snatch the patch, /she's/ close enough to flick his tongue with a fingertip when he sticks it out. Which she DOES, with a satisfied and rather smug grin as she balances back from her forward tippy-toes. "Little snot." She is /totally/ acting her age.

And it's just as Raph is turning to walk off that the characteristic sound little webbed paws announces the arrival of a rather strange sight. It seems to be an otter pup except that it is covered over in fabric scraps and what seem to be strands of not so dry kelp. More paint is also in evidence on her possibly ruined dress. She enters the room in time to see the little tongue exchange, and proceeds to stick her tongue out at Fwoo as she heads for Raphy.

Zeraph is thunked. In the tongue. "Hey.." He's about to sail over the counter, but there's the running sound. So instead he has to turn around to see Taia hurrying for him. As well as noticing all the stares. A-heh. He ducks to receive the child without... looking.. back at them. c_c

Glug glug glug? Mhmhm. Darklett strolls into the rec room, tonguing his lips already in anticipation of sweet Salamandastron drink. He heads on over to the bar and... Keita? "...Hey!" The major raises his paw way above his head in a wave, and plops down somewhere in Zeraph's vicinity. "What're you doin' here?"

Haaaaaahahaha. Keita so wins. She's nearly preening, to be honest. She skips - as much as a one-legged doe /can/ skip - back past the 'tender and out from behind the bar. But not before tipping his hat forward on his head on the way past, of course. Nope, uh-uh. Keita is in rare form. Rather than avoid all of the stares, she accepts them proudly with her head held high.

Taia is talking at 'tenant daddy even as she's collected, wrapping her arm around his neck, and finding a likely pocket to tuck Fwoo into. "guess what daddy? taia maked anover pic're an teacha said it was.. vewy good. gonna hang it up? " She then notices the stares directed at Raph and in unabashed little kid syle starts waving and blowing kisses. Must be looking at how clever she is, right?

Zeraph stands up, without tripping Keita off her good leg. Ain't he nice? The officer glances at all the beasts, then smiles to Taia. "Of course I'll hang it up. As soon as I get to see it." He is grinning happily at the otter, stroking her ears and just seeming to enjoy her antics. Right before he gives a look to Darklett. "Can't say hi to anyone /besides/ Keita, now?"

"... Well. I've got t' do /somethin'/ about the sorry state o' the supply 'round here." That's Keita's story, anyway, and she's sticking to it. She limps over toward the three, dropping down into a seat near Zeraph but with Darklett between them, at this point. She leans forward, leaning forward over the counter a bit as she looks sideways at the grumpy buck. "Aw, he's just sulkin' 'cause I stole 'is ickle badgy-wadgy. Don't mind him."

Darklett looks at Zeraph... Almost incredulously. "...What?!" But then he hears Keita, so he looks over to her, and... well, looks slightly less offended/worried/whatever at Zeraph. "Oh. Hey, there are like... hundreds of those things. Just get another one made, or somethin', if she won't give it back." Shrug. "Does Nev know you were behind the counter, Kei?" He snorts out a laugh, while throwing a wary glance Zer's way. Hmph.

Taia grins at Raph and nooods. "getta take it home damarrow, when it dwy." She explains, then considers Keita. "stealing's naughty auntie f'oppy ear." She admonishes severely. "even if it a bad'y wad'y."

Marsuvees actually pokes his head into the rec room, stares about, and is about to turn out, when he spots Dark. Grinning softly, he steps into the room slowly, almost languidly. Tipping his ever present hat up, he opens his mouth....then Taia speaks. Snapping it shut, he looks almost grumpy for a moment, before shrugging. "G'evenin' ya'll."

Zeraph gives Keita a look, then tucks Taia in close against his chest where his muzzle is almost buried into her head fur. "Good." He mutters, not seeming so happy. Definitely. And that wary glance he gets from Dark? Well it is returned with an outright glare - for his own reasons. Not perhaps Keita's fault. He goes to walk away from the bar, just still cradling Taia as if she were a security blanket. "Evening Mars." Is all that is mumbled to the other buck.

Oh, that's just disgustingly cute. Keita's teeth now hurt. She gives the little dibbun an almost absent smirk, shaking her head. "I /know/ ya didn't just call me 'auntie', kid. I /know/ ya didn't." Tsk. She rolls her eyes in an amused fashion. "I swear. Whatcha teachin' this kid, Ra.. .aph?" There's that hesitation because he's suddenly walking away. Hum. She turns back to Darklett with a raise of her eyebrows, as if to ask, "What's that all about?"

Darklett frowns a little, and pushes his eyebrows down on his head, watching Zeraph go. Turning to Keita, he sees the raised eyebrows, then shrugs, going to Zeraph. "Hey. Zer, where're you goin'?" An eye is given to Mars, and... He shifts in his stool, turning towards the bar but keeping his eye on Zeraph.

Marsuvees clicks his tongue once, then scratches his throat, before moving towards Keita. "Don't believe I caught yer name, th' other night, lass." Pulling a chair up beside her, he flops down and holds out a paw. "Marsuvees, monk, fighter...Yada, yada." The March hare smirks. "Dunno if me comment on yer leg went ta far, so, gonna apologize fer that while I'm at it."

Taia is a very content if squirmy kid- squirmy 'cause she's trying to peek around Raph's arm to stick her tongue out at Kei and Dark who have /obviously/ been absolutely horrible to the bestest daddy ever. He task as accomplished as possible, she shoves a paw into one pocket of her dress to retieve one of those scrumptious candied chestnuts she likes to carry and offer to pop it into daddy's mouth to help him feel better.

Zeraph flumps down into a chair close to the fire, not having gone to the entrance but instead just away from the group. This means that he absently lets the chestnut be popped into his mouth without saying anything else. The 'where are you going' is answered enough by his actions but he also takes the 'candy in mouth' excuse for the rest. The officer leans back in his chair, eyeing Taia, then hugging her again, tucking his footpaws into the seat with him.

The look Keita gives Marsuvees is... deadpan. She blinkblinks at him for a moment, then quirks an eyebrow. "Uh wait. What's wrong with m'leg, again?" She glances down, with a look of supreme curiosity, at which point her eyes light up with the proverbial bulb of understanding. "Ohhhhh, /that/. Righ'. I'd forgotten all about it." And she flashes a grin. "Keita. The name's Keita."

Darklett sighs as he just looks over toward Zeraph, ears folding over with a little bit of a sigh. "Huh... Wonder what's wrong with him..." The major looks to Keita. "Think I should go say somethin'?" Sure, Marsuvees is right next to him. He's not given a single regard at all. Nope. Marsuvees does /not/ exist.

Marsuvees nods, then smiles. "Nice name 'at. Keita? Where ya from, hm?" He gives Darklett a friendly nod. "An' how're you, Maj'?" The smile he gives him is laced with obvious contempt. "Keepin' busy? Holdin' down th' fort, eh? Holdin' up th' walls?" He chuckles, almost good naturedly, before swivling his head towards Zeraph, whom he just nods at. Poor guy looks tired.

Taia looks pretty pleased it her success in giving Z'aphy a candy. That'll help him feel sooo much better. As he's tucking his footpaws into the seat, he should make an extra good dibbun-rest, and he certainly does. Taia snuggles in close to him, patting at and fiddling with his uniform intently to be sure that it has survived whatever perils daddy may have faced, and plus it's just sort of cool. "Dat al'ight, dey be naughty beasties." she mutters to him sagely, then adds in a pat pat. Maybe she doesn't get along so well with all of the other dibbuns always?

Wow, what is /with/ all the unpleasant looks this evening? Keita looks between Marsuvees and Darklett, then... just shakes her head. Eye roll. "... I guess. Go say somethin' to him. He's just bein' a grump, though." And then to Marsuvees, since they're apparently holding two separate conversations, "I live in Halyard. 'M /from/ the area, just a coupla days down shore."

Darklett turns slowly towards Marsuvees, gritting his teeth, and taking a couple seconds to respond. "...Yeah. Yeah, doin' just great. How're you? Feelin' good? Good. Think I'll go over there." Darklett smirks at Marsuvees briefly, then nods to Keita, going over to the lieutenant. "Hey... Zer. C'mon, tell me what's up."

Zeraph glances to Marsuvees, before crunching the candied nut with his back teeth and looking to Taia once more with a soft smile. "Guess so." That's when he lets her lean on his chest so that he can look at the patch still in his paw - behind her head. Sigh. The Lieutenant goes to hand it to her. "Here. You can have this then.." Yeah. Cause it's not attached to his shoulder. XD Ignoring the others for the moment.. that is until Darklett moves over. Both ears pin, then perk as the buck glances up to see the Major. "Hm?" Brow raise. He is petting Taia's paw with his thumb idly.

Marsuvees snaps his attention back to Keita. "Ach, righ', righ'. I believe yer mother mentioned ye, right? Upshore, aye?" Tipping his chair back, he nods. "Been through there, th' li'l village I ferget th' name to." Nodding, the monk grins wide. "Came 'ere fer business, lass? 'r jus' visitin' th' mountain. Meadow agents know, it be dull 'bout here wi'out some fresh blood sometimes."

"What's with the..." Darklett cuts himself off when he spots Taia, changing intentions immediately. "You alright? Actin' odd tonight." A smile and a reaching pat on the shoulder, which is hopefully congenial enough to not spark the wrath of Zeraph.

"Oh... I s'pose both. Always up for some advertisin', 'n' any customahs I c'n sneak out from undah Nev's a good'un." She shrugs slightly, withdrawing a flask from a pocket. She holds it across to him, eyebrows waggling. "Speakin' of that - have a drink, why doncha?"

Taia is now happily occupied with the patch, holding it in the non-petted paw so that it's up close to her face, eyes kinda scrunched at it in fascination. Until Darklett comes over. Though she's got tight hold of the badge, the buck seems to interest her more for the moment. She cranes her neck so the back of her head presses sort of against Raph, and gives the major a hmm look, then rotates her head so she'll have a good view of daddy's chin.

Well, the look Raph gives just says that he might have bitten that patting paw if it weren't for the young otter in his lap. He keeps his paw occupied with hers, trying not to squeeze too hard as he meets Darklett's eyes. "I'm not feeling well it would seem?" The buck scoots Taia in closer, shifting his legs more comfortably as he still watches the other as if he were looking through him. Into him? Something.

Darklett blinks confusedly at Zeraph, ears flicking forward. "...Alright. Need anything just tell me, alright, Zer?" He pats the lieutenant's shoulder again, giving a quick smile down at Taia, before going back to the bar, looking... Well. Off-put.

Taia is unaware that she's a sort of peace-keeper, though she gives Dark an uncertain look as he seemed nice before but now seems to be stressing daddy a /lot/. Then she tucks the badge into one of Raph's handy pockets.. for safe-keeping, and kinda tugs at his sleeve, stretching up to whisper to him in a sort of fidgity way "what da bad beasties did, daddy?" a look given to the part of his shoulder in their general direction.

Marsuvees nods as he cocks his head at Keita. In all honesty, it didn't seem like he was interested in starting a conversation anyway. "Hm, hope it works for ye, lass." Standing up, he stretches, considering the drink, then shakes his head. "Naw, I'm fine fer now. Thanks anyway." Waving over his shoulder as he leaves, he says a swift 'goodnight, and is gone.

Keita's eyebrows go up both as Marsuvees heads off and Darklett returns to the bar. The offered drink is not withdrawn; rather, its course is changed. It is directed toward Darklett, who looks like he could use one, besides. "... Here ya go, mate." Mm-hm.

Darklett looks over at Zeraph again as he takes the drink, and sips at it moodily. "Don't know what's up with him," is his only comment on the whole ordeal, before a larger gulp is taken. "Thanks for the drink. Halyard's not missin' ya that much, then, or can't you tear yourself away from the mountain?" He grins at the doe with a wink.

Zeraph watches Darklett until he is to the bar and right before Taia tugs on his sleeve. He ducks his head forward a little, ear cocking towards the young child to hear the whisper better. Her words, strangely enough, make a sadness take over, blue eyes becoming so much different in a split second. "They... I don't.." And he trails off, just petting and hugging her, almost like she's a doll. Comfort. "I'm sorry, Tai."

"M'pretty sure they indoctrinate all lev'rets here in such a way that, even if ya hate it, ya can't /help/ but comin' back t'this ole hell of a rock." Keita smirks faintly and shakes her head. "... That, 'n' yeah. They're not s'much with the needin' me back in Halyard."

uh-oh, sad daddy! Taia's paw is back in her pocket even as she wiggles around to get a good hug angle going, one arm wrapping around him, the other trying to pop another candy in his mouth before she plant a big dibbuny kiss on his cheek. "Dat al'ight, daddy." Not sure why he's apologising, but that's what you say when somebeast says sorry, right? She then leans her head so her forehead is against his neck, the side of her head on his shoulder. All comfort.

Darklett grins at the doe beside him, gulping at his drink. "Well, it's good seein' you around more. Not that I blame you for staying in Halyard as much as you possibly can, but it's good, anyway." Another drink of his mug, obviously in some sort of hurry to get it down.

Zeraph just might cry. Actually, he starts to when he gets hug and kiss from the dibbun in his lap. This he tries to hide by ducking his head against her shoulder and pushing a kiss to her cheek. "C'mon.. it's time for bed.." Mumbled into her headfur as he keeps her close and stands once more from his chair - face still hidden. Yeah. Using the babe as a shield. The buck starts for the door. He can't handle the sympathy from her it seems? More odd looks given.

Keita's lips twitch in the slightest of grins at his rather speedy drinking of his drink. She shakes her head ever just the littlest bit, looking amused. "What's yer rush? Practicin' for a drinkin' contest or sommat?" Zeraph just... isn't noticed. When he's grumpy, he's grumpy. She's not trying to bother him or /with/ him. Poor bucky buck.

Taia seems to feel that bed-time means all is right with daddy again, though she's kinda subdued. "Nuh-uh. You gotta tell me an' Fwoo a stowy. An' we gotta getta dwink, an' Taia wanna go see da garden." That last slipped in just as a hopeful request trying to dodge the dreadded bed-time, though she doesn't seem to hold much hope for that part.

Darklett looks up to Keita, blinking at her question, then he looks down at his drink. "...Oh." Hm. "Nothin', I guess. Just..." A glance to Zeraph. "A little strange right now." The major looks back to Keita, having another sip. "Not trying to get drunk or anything quicker than usual. Just a few things on my mind."

Balancing a kid in his arms while hiding behind her, Zeraph has to pause by the door as he fumbles to get out. This proves to be successful enough. It is now that his voice is starting to sound strained.. definitely different. "Yeah.. alright.. Garden." He sniffles against her as he ducks out the entrance, ears pinned fully. And then he's gone. Little child brought the big buck to tears. XD

"A few things bein' Zeraph, I guess?" And it's at this point that she looks around, just in time to see him exit the room. Hum. Finally, his behavior garners a frown from the doe. "... So maybe takin' his patch wasn't the best idea I evah had."

"Yeah, and some other stuff." Darklett shrugs, drinking at his mug very slowly, contemplatively. "Just wondering what's wrong. I mean... I really don't think it was... Taking his patch. Though, why'd you take his patch?" Short pause. ".../How/ did you take his patch?"

The sounds of a very happy dibbun can be heard in the passageway outside as Taia tells Raph all the nifty things she found in the garden while hiding up there. Not that he hasn't heard it all every other time he's taken her to visit up there. hee! though, she's managed to get out of bed-time!

"Because I... decided I... rathah fancied it?" Harn. She snerks and shakes her head. "Eh. I dunno. We're 'bondin. He tosses m'clothes out a window, I steal 'is uniform... It's a whole friendship... thing. Ya'd have t' be there t' really undahstand." She waves her paw absently, as if this makes aaaall the sense in the world. "Eh. I just nabbed it offa his tunic while he was in the baths."

Darklett gives a slooooow nod of understanding. Or at least pretend-understanding. "Mmhmmmm. I see." His eyes go down the other end of the bar and then back to Keita. "Remind me never to start any 'bonding' rituals with you, then? Seems like missing my clothes on any sort of regular basis would be... pretty hard to work into my busy schedule." A snerk as he sips at his mug again.

Keita takes a thoughtful sip from her own flask, squinting her eyes over the edge of it as she considers things for a few seconds. Then she nods, with a 'hm'. "Yeah. Yeah, I s'pose it might cut in on yer ability t' lead. Hard t' respect a bloke when he hasn't got any pants or nary a shirt, doncha know?"

Darklett snerks, draining another gulp of his drink. "Mmhmm. Exactly. Less Major, more savage, you know." He rolls his shoulders in a light shrug, looking up at Keita with a smile. "How long're you stayin' this time?"

"Dunno. I always end up makin' a liah out of m'self, anyway. Day, coupla days... who knows?" Squint. "S'pose it all depends on whethah certain bucks'll let me leave, this time." She smirks.

"Hey..." Darklett grins at the doe, shaking his head. "You were very... Very drunk that night. No telling what might have happened to you if I let you walk home in that state." He smirks. "I'm surprised you even remember that I stopped you. You were... More than a little gone."

"Ehhhhh, I was fine. Barely even past sobah." It's hard to tell if Keita's serious or not, since she's just about /constantly/ grinning or smirking or something. She gives an amused roll of her eye, shaking her head. "'Sides, I warned you what'd happen."

"It's not like I was forcing the stuff down your throat," scoot closer to Keita "though. You were drinking pretty selfishly for a few seconds there, if I remember correctly." Darklett grins at the doe, relaxing to the side against the bar. "You were definitely /not/ fine to walk home. Heh."

Snort! "Oh. /Yeah/. Me. Selfish." Another snort. Because, ha. That's just, like. The /most/. Laughable thing ever. "You were drinkin' way more'n me, s'all I have t' say. Ya've just got a bettah tolerance." Mm-hm. Aaaaand, because she has to win, "Was /so/ fine." Squint. The brat. Hmph. With a light clearing of her throat, she places her paws on the bar's edge and pushes back, putting a leg down. Getting ready to stand. "Anyway. S'late. I should go flop int' a bed."

"Mmmhmm. Me, too." Darklett may be lying here! He shoves off his own stool, finishing his drink with a few large gulps and one small one, setting it back down on the bar top with a bit of a woozy shake of his head. "Gonna get up and do a bit of training early tomorrow... Or something. I don't know, we'll see when I wake up." Dark grins. Gotta love that feeling in a military environment. He is standing off his stool, though, and waiting for Keita.

Keita eyes the woozy-looking buck with wary amusement, also stepping back free of her stool. "... Well. Onto the dorms, then, I s'pose." She gives the teensiest shakes of her head, starting for the door at a pace accommodating to his catching up. Odd buck. XD

Darklett isn't too stumbly at the moment, quite yet. That big gulp, though, took him aback. He does catch up, and walks... alongside Keita. Which probably will just seem more odd to her. "See ya tomorrow then, I guess." His mouth opens wide in a yawn, paws stretching out over his head.

And so it does. She sends a kind of... 'heh?' sort of glance to the side at him, looking a mixture of amused and 'what the heck?' What with the saying goodbye while they're still walking together. It makes the next bit of... still walking together kind of awkward. XD "... Yeah. T'morrah, mm-hm." Aaaaand okay. They reach the door, and she holds it open for him. Flash a grin. "Well, g'night." It's like saying goodbye on the stoop. Ha.

Darklett erms, and shifties. Goodbye on the stoop, indeed. The buck looks in either direction, hesitating for /some/ reason. Hm. "Good..." Darklett's paw wavers at his side, raises a few degrees, lowers, and he turns to sort of... Walk backwards through the door, leaning forward and reaching out his arm in a wave. "Uh. Good night, Kei." The waving paw kinda twitches, and as he turns, he lets it flop to his side, lips barely parting as he curses himself.

Well /that/ was weird. She keeps the 'I'm smiling' grin plastered on her face until he turns and then she just kind of... squints after him, one ear perking and the other flopping over as the just audible self-deprecation reaches them. He's almost acting like... Hrm. Buuuut, as is Keita's way, she doesn't spend too much time debating it. With a shrug and a silently mouthed 'naaaah', she shakes her head and starts out through the door after Darklett, her limp bringing her toward the dormitories at a considerably slower pace.
