There are some steps that you should go through when deciding to join the Patrol.
- First, you should page Oz, Felicity or Quinten in game.
- Consider - what position would you like for your character to hold within the group? A healer, runner, or fighter? Depending on your character's age, you will either start as a recruit (the young'uns of the mountain) or a private.
Character Information
IC Full name (First name, (any middle names), Surname):
Year this character OOCly joined the Patrol:
IC age:
IC Rank:
IC Role (Fighter/Healer/Runner/Other position):
History: A brief character history (4-6 sentences), including such items as where they were born, family history, and major life events that may have shaped the character into who and what they are and what has led them to the Long Patrol.
Personality: A brief synopsis of your character's personality, including ticks, pet peeves, hobbies, and so on. Whatever you think is relevant.
These two separate sections are both separate and required. Together you should have at least 8-12 sentences (more is preferred).
Once the above is filled out, send it via page #mail in-game to Terrence or message Ol'random via the forums and the information will be transferred to the current LP members list.
When you are ready to join up, on the MUCK you will want to do the following:
- Join the skills group (+skills apply L-Patrol).
- Shoot a page to Oz, Felicity or Quinten, if you haven't already.
- Inquire about the rules and policies of the Long Patrol, or simply check them out on our page!
- Read through the information pages linked on the Long Patrol Group page, especially those under the IC Information section. These provide brief explanations of ranks, roles & jobs, basic training, equipment, uniforms, and several other topics for the Long Patrol.
- Also, for our players who are newer to the MUCK, I would like to recommend a tutorial for your enjoyment and consumption! The OOC Guide to IC Life.
