Just wondering, is this a feasible idea?
A group of, you know, berserk warriors, probably corsair vermin or such. They are divided up into factions, but all the factions are ruled over by the central monarchy. The rulers would be Redwallified versions of the Norse gods.
The Vikings would be fanatical worshipers of their rulers, vicious corsairs (more vicious and brutal than the usual), and the like. It would be far away in the Snowy North, so far away that they rarely come in contact with inhabitants of Redwall and Mossflower - or our MUCK-unique villages like Ferravale.
Somehow I feel like this has been done before in the canon world of Redwall (Vilu Daskar? Vizka Longtooth? Perhaps even Gulo or his brother what's-his-name?) as Viking-like characters.
