View source for Yet another fight on the dirt road...


-I came in partway through the fight, so the first section is from Pike. Enjoy. –

-On the dirt road-

Dagger is beside the line of trees in the clearing, upon seeing Pike he grins and walks over, Hello there...  beside him appear about five rats and a couple weasels. "take him down boys."

Pike growls low and brings out his twin blades, one of the weasels quickly go down and so does a rat as the blades swirl in a pattern of death; he speaks back and glares at Dagger.

Jomo watches from the woodland path.

Dagger smiles coldly and has his own blade now out, he hisses as another couple rats fall dead and now goes to charge Pike.

Pike slices a weasel across the chest and it dies quickly, He tenses up as one gets him in the leg and arm, a rat falls and the last rat chooses the better path and runs, the otter narrows his eyes and watches dagger closely and fakes a sidestep, the ferrets blade slices at his tail and then the otter goes to slice at Daggers throat with a blade from the back and one from the front.

Dagger charge ends when he is almost in Pikes face, a look of shock comes across his face and he falls backwards, his head lands beside him yep he is dead all right.

Pike is out of breath and energy, he starts to growl at the wildcat till he sees the blade at his throat, he  takes a couple breaths.."How..honorable is coming be..behind someone?"

Jomo smirks "Its not...but who cares, I am not a fool..I am not laying dead on de road like...your little display here.."

Tristan is a ways up the path, note quite able to make out the fight yet. He has his longbow strung over his shoulder, but has not brought his dirks.

Pike would glare at the wildcat if he could, he stays still, wounds on his arm, leg and his right cheek, he snorts "Going ta kill me?"

Tristan shades his eyes, trying to make out the fight ahead of him. He readies his longbow and continues forwards a bit faster.

Jomo smiles coldly, blade still at the otters throat "Maybe later...I rather fight a real fight, you can tell me something..."

Pike is tried and it shows, he chooses not to argue and closes his good eye "What info do ye want cat?"

Tristan recognizes Pike, and nocks an arrow to his string, hoping he is unnoticed by the wildcat.

Jomo keeps the blade at his thoat."Good..now get up and we have a nice chat"

Pike stands up slowly, he answers "I don't chat well with a blade at me neck"

Tristan crouches behind a nearby tree, bow at the ready, waiting for any sudden moves.

Jomo doesn't lower the blade as he speaks" I aim to deliver a message, love ta in person but..get the old fox out here, got business with him."

Pike listens to Jomo and simply goes quiet now.

Tristan waits quietly, slowly drawing back the arrow and aiming it towards the wildcat.

Jomo growls in the otters ear "I grow upset..spek or your freinds find you dead as well....won't know who did it..just assume someone..nice chat though,learned so much..well not really..last words?"

Pike stays silent at first and then frowns,"Yeah...hope ya have an unpleasant evening. And get a breath mint."

Jomo growls more now, he then smiles coldly "I will make sure to leave a message...."He goes to press the blade closer to the otters thoat,not yet slicing..."Good night." He then prepares to finish the otter off.

The arrow leaves Tristan's bow with a hiss and hits his blade near the hilt, it's iron tip clanging of the blade.

Pike closes his eye, he opens it again as the clang is heard and blinks slowly.

Jomo narrows his eyes as the arrow is now on the ground, he studies the area and shoves Pike roughly onto the side of the road and holds the blade out in a fighting pose "Show your self..."

Tristan decides against it, and instead sends a second shaft into the ground inches from the cat's footpaws.

Pike oofs as he rolls onto his side and holds his right arm, he stays still as he isn't interested in getting hit with a way ward arrow.

Jomo backs up as the arrow hits between his footpaws,he narrows his eyes "This a sort of game!..I don't play games!"

Tristan has to stifle a bit of a chuckle, and sends yet another arrow zooming past the cat's ear. He usually doesn't miss, but he's enjoying himself too much.

Jomo grabs a hold of his ear, he had moved and the ear now has a bleeding slice on it, "This isn't over. I will be back, and most likely with friends..fools!" he smirks and heads to the gull.

Tristan steps out onto the dirt road, a grin playing on his lips, "Well that was fun, a shame I forgot my flaming arrows." He strides over to Pike, "You alright?"

Pike looks up at Tristan, he manages to slowly and painfully stand as he holds his right arm.."Gash to the right arm, one on me left upper leg..cuts and..oh soreness but alive, thank ye Tristan, may of been diffenrt story" he looks at the rats and couple weasels now dead, and over at the ditch.

Tristan shakes his head, "You'll have to be more careful next time," he says as he offers him a paw of assistance.

Pike nods "I..ya right matey, lets just get back ta the abbey...before anything else happens."

Tristan nods, giving him a grim smile, "Can you walk?"

Pike tests his footpaws, he is in some pain but nods "Yes..don't know if de cat part of the horde or not...less horde now and.." he grins "They seemed to have loss a 2nd in command, hee hee...he sort of lost his head in the battle."

Tristan chuckles with little humor and nocks another arrow to his bow, just in case, "Alright then, let's go."

Pike nods and slowly follows Tristan back towards the abbey.

-Back at the Abbey-

Pike limps into the great hall slowly, his right arm is bleeding and he has a cut on his left upper leg, cuts and a couple bruises and dirt covered, he looks around the great hall.

Tristan is a few paces ahead of him, "Shouldn't we be going to the infirmary, Pike?"

Kroovajr looks at the two otters that walked in an shakes head." What ye do this time?"

Pike nods "Right matey.." he makes it to the stairs and slowly heads to the infirm.

Tristan looks over at him from the doorway, "Long story, but Pike's a bit hurt." He motions for Kroova to follow him.

Tristan motions a healer over to Pike, "So what happened?"

Kroovajr walks into the infirmary following other otter he then looks to pike. "Ok now what 'append ta ye as this is worse then thy first time I meet ye."

Pike lays down on a cot, he lets the healer tend to him as he looks at Kroovajr" 6 rats and couple weasels...and a ferret...Bloodclaw's beasts..cept for the wildcat me thinks..he..he got away"

Tristan nods slowly, "Those wildcats can be trouble. I've had to help take care of two of them now."

Pike tenses up as a healer starts to sew up his arm ound.."Ouch lass..." He nods "One..bit good news...Dagger is dead"

Tristan looks up, he already knew this but it just now clicked in his head, "That's the best news I've heard this week."

Kroovajr nods." I take it know his gang wants ye dead."

Pike looks at Kroovarjr "Bloodclaw's gang has never not wanted me dead matey, Bloodclaw hates me"

Kroovajr sit down an looks to pike." Think it be time for ye ta tell thy story  show I know more about him plus why Flicktail dragged ye inta cavern hole leaving me wondering what is going on."

Pike looks at Kroovarjr as the healer finishes up and nods "Alright,..as for the cavern hole thing,..over something else and..it wasn't Flicky that mainly talked with me...but more on Bloodclaw, meet him 6..7 seasons ago now"

-I didn't stay for the story, but there you have it. Dagger's dead, and wildcats are still extremely dangerous. Hope you enjoyed.-
