**Role Play in the infirm, Leon is gonna be busy for a few days looks like ***

Brother Leon-Master Healer

Flicktail-Ex-Champion

Zee- One very injured badger

Spoofs of healers and varies injured beasts

RW Abbey: Infirmary

Several beds are lined against the red sandstone walls of the Abbey's Infirmary. An examination table, separated from the rest of the room by hanging blankets, rests against the far wall.  Tucked into a small alcove is a sizeable workbench with various containers for mixing and preparing medicinal compounds.  Against another wall is a desk for use by the Infirmary Keeper.  A curtained off alcove behind the desk hides a locked door to the Infirmary's supplies and linens.

Leon is busy, very busy as he goes from bed to bed, and beast to beast and speaks with one of the healers there, and another novice, "Ok like this, see the bandage is more secure that way" He offers a smile and checks on an injured mouse.

Flicktail moves into the infirmary and immediately begins helping as he can bringing  fresh cool water, clean blankets and linen, and comforting beasts

Leon looks over “Don’t go near the otters ok Flicktail." He will let him tend to those he is able to tend to, one being a very tense vole. The Master healer goes to check on some of the more wounded beasts and frowns at one otter and shakes his head as he speaks to one of the other healers who frown.

Flicktail nods and complies but grumbles "Not fair I put my life at risk for them but they still hate me”

Leon says, "They went through a lot Flicktail, they are leary of any vermin right now, yes a few know you but not all of them."

Flicktail says, "I am not a vermin Leon....and I became a woodlander IN Camp Willow"

Leon frowns and just tends to beasts quietly, but he is listening.

Flicktail says, "And the Skipper were my friend .Like a mother ta me"

Leon sighs and just shakes his head but doesn’t argue, he rather not as he has work to do, he stats to change a bandage on one of the camp willow beasts quietly, their leg has a rather nasty cut it.

Flicktail looks frustrated, he is NOT arguing "what should I do Leon? Just let them hate me or maybe they can kill my dibbuns when they see them on the road. Just tell me wot to do and I will do it"

Leon sighs "I don't know ok Flicktail, just give them space. As your dibbuns grow tell them to be careful on the roads. One they shouldn’t be alone till they are old enough to be anyways, and as adults or maybe teens that a lot of woodlanders may not trust or accept them. They are foxes and foxes are usually not judged well I am sorry"

Flicktail says, "Then just support me Leon. I risked my life for you and your family more than once. You do not change beasts thoughts by accepting their behavior. I am sorry if I am being harsh, I am just worried"

Leon says, "It’s not easy to change beasts mind either"

Flicktail says, "Nothing worth doing is ever easy Leon"

Zee groans and mutters something. He has not made any sounds since he was brought here almost 4 days ago.

Leon frowns "I didn't say it......"He then rushes over to Zee's side and starts checking on his pulse, breathing, he feels his forehead and has gone full healer mode. Any sleepiness he had is gone as the badger is one of the more serious wounded here. He checks over bandages to see if there’s any bleeding.

Flicktail walks over and gently taps Zee on the shoulder "Uncle Zee...come on back we need you . We got to go get Xander”

Zee moves a paw just a little and mutters barely above a whisper, he has a fever also and his eyes remain closed.

"Flicktail he won't be doing ANYTHING for a long while and be careful with him please." He tries to get closer to pick out the whispering and at first seems confused and then frowns "Not..good.." He is not sure the badger can hear him or not "Zee....Zee you can talk to him later. much later.." He digs quickly in his surcoat and rushes over to get warm water, “Talk to him!"

---The weak whisper was this: “ Zork…Zork ya rude boy. Not let ya own old uncle into these gates I should hit you with me cane Zork. BE LUCKY I don’t have me cane boy.” Also “ Zork ya not changed….why you not letting me pass boy”----

Flicktail says, "I am talking to him.. Right Uncle Zee..is the only time I can get away with calling ya Uncle eh? You know that Sister Zinnia is waiting for ya. Looking forward to seeing ya"

Zee doesn't make it clear if he hears the fox or not as he groans weakly and mutters again.."Push....me....side..rude boy" His pulse is still weak and his breathing a little unsteady but he is breathing still.

Leon frowns as he comes back with the herb and looks at Zee and he very carefully with a steady paw one little drop into some warm water, just a small amount and goes to try and get Zee to drink it if he can.

Zee fingers twitch and his muttering is softer as the small bit of mixture is given to him he coughs , but not much of a response is had, a soft whisper.."W..Wot..lad...why not"

Flicktail says, "I am big enough I can hold him up a bit if you wish Leon so he can sip better"

Leon frowns "He is a badger Flicktail.....just let me think" He checks the pulse and frowns, "Talk..I don’t know about Zinnia or Xander. The abbey I don't care cause right now he is not talking to us." He frowns "He whispered  Zork's name....that's not a good thing Flicktail."

Flicktail says, "He's Tuff Leon..Arn't ya Zork... Tell me about your Brother there Zee...tell me about your mum and dad and about Zinnia"

Leon says, "Only ZEE can hear him and they are not brothers...just please Flicktail talks to Zee this is important"

Flicktail looks at Leon "WOT DO YA THINK I AM DOIN ya daffy mouse...ZEE talk to me..it's Flicktail...you remember old FLicky?????”

Zee groans as he gets a little quiet now, seemly a hairline from entering the dark forest. His breathy slow now and his pulse a little weak, but he is still hanging onto to life.

Leon glares at the fox, “Do not yell in my infirm or I will kick you out of it" He looks to Zee and finds something to help with breathing crushing herbs and placing in very hot water to make a sort of steam for the badger to breath in, "Zee...come on, your still needed by Oz and Zinnia. And I know Xander is still out there somewhere, he will need you as well. You still have some time to be here, you can go elsewhere in a few seasons"

Flicktail says, "Don't go into the light Zee....come back toward me voice"

Zee shivers some and his breathing at first seems to fade more, then slowly gets a little better by a small amount. His pulse just a little tiny bit stronger but eyes still remain closed

Flicktail says, "open your eyes Zee...look at me"

Leon stays close and checks pulse and breathing and holds the steaming  herbs closer, worry on his face. A healer walks over and the Master Healer quickly mentions a couple things as they head off and quickly returns. He lays a cool rag on his forehead that’s was soaked in something to help, “Come on..just for a little while..please" He doesn’t want to have to tell anyone someone died, it’s bad enough the new skipper has to hear about one of the more injured otters who will likely die. A healer saves lives yes but not all the time and the mouse knows this all too well.

Zee fingers move and a quiet groan is heard after a few moments and a low growl when his head moves slightly. His breathing a faint bit stronger as is a pulse.

Flicktail says, "Zee I used to be champion, you open your eyes and looks at me right now. I’m your friend and I want to see them eyes"

Leon looks to be getting worried and lays a gentle paw on the badgers bandaged and bruised chest, but he is careful as he knows a couple ribs are cracked.

Zee goes very still and for a brief moment it seems he has crossed over but then a twitch, a groan faint but there and eyes open slowly and then close half way. He is weak and in a lot A LOT of pain and doesn't look at anyone right now and seems a little dazed.

Flicktail snorts "See Leon, just gotta know how to talk to em....ello Zee”

Leon is not relieved yet as he checks pulse and breathing still and waves a paw in front of the badgers face slowly "Zee...Zee say something, can you hear us? See us?"

Zee focuses on the paw and turns to look at the fox and then Leon, and tries to speak and almost gags.

Leon studies the badger closely “Flicktail...water please and help him drink it carefully, just small small sips"

Flicktail nods and holds the badger’s soft furry head bringing his cup up for sips

Zee weakly takes a small sip or two and coughs, he then speaks his voice weak and tried" Zork says..ello" He coughs roughly.

Flicktail says, "Look at that Leon, I healed him"

Leon finally smiles now, "Ok, now no more speaking just resting." He gets some willow bark and adds it to the water, "Ok Flicky is going to get you to slowly drink this and he still has a long way to go Flicky." Yes he is more relaxed now.

Zee will drink the willow bark slowly, coughs and drinks more as it is given to him and lays there barely moving.

Flicktail asks, "why were you gone so long Zee?"

Leon nods "Ok I need to tell Abbot Benar. Abbot’s orders to tell him right away so he could be the one to tell Sister Zinnia.....and Flicky..easy with him" He then rushes off to find the abbot, he can get Angela to come to the infirm if needed and other healers are here also

Zee frowns at the fox and closes his eyes a little

Flicktail says, "you don’t have to talk I can talk enough for the both of us"

===Leon first told the Abbot about Zee, then went to tell Angela the news, Leon also took a few hours rest before he got back on duty, he and Angela as well as other healers will be  very busy for the next few days ====
