Salamandastron: Dining Chamber

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

This is the dining chamber for the mountain of Salamandastron.  It is a

veritable cavern, the necessity of feeding so many hares making the

room so big.  Dominating the room is a huge banquet table made of solid oak.

Nobeast knows how such a venerable object came to be here, but its

presence is undeniable.  Smaller tables skirt the outside of the room,

each sitting near a large torch burning brightly in its sconce.  The

chair at the head of the table is different from the plain maple chairs that

occupy the rest of the room - it belongs to the Badger Lord.  The

massive object is graced with a carving of the very mountain it is in, with the

sun setting over the sea.

Quinten is sat at a table near the door not eating...shock horror, he

has however spread out an array of carving tools and a large lump of

beach wood which he is slowly whittling at, aving deserted the crafts room

due to an invasion of grumpy elder beasts he's descended on dinning

hall to work

Only to be further bothered by grumpy older beasts! Zoe appears before

his table, eyeing his spread of tools and the mess of shavings. "...

Why aren't ya doin' this in the crafts room, recruit?"

Quinten squeeeks and knocks over the beach wood, scrambling to his feet

and saluting "Colonel Ma'am...sorry ma;am....i got tured out by some

older hares ma'am...."

Zoe_Lang squints. "Aye? Well. Ya ought t' find somewhere else t' do yer

wood carvin' othah than where folks eat, doncha know?" But she doesn't

look or sound particularly grumpy. Rather, she's just making an

observation. She eyes the seat opposite him. "Ya mind if I...?"

Quinten shakes his head "No ma'am and i'm sorry i would have gone

someplace else but everywhere else is packed full of beasts, there is no

room anyplace else." he picks up the block of wood "I can move if you

like"

Slowly stepping down from the first floor intersection, Seven pulls the

large hat from his head. This allows the hare's ears to spring up into

a regularly perked position, looking about the room as if he can't

hardly believe something as he catches his breath. Now that the runner

doesn't have to disguise his walk, it is apparent that he has a bit of a

limp. But mostly noticed, besides the long furry tail trailing after him,

is that he is wearing what seems to be pirate/gypsy clothes. Almost. At

first the two don't get his attention.

Zoe_Lang's eyebrows go up. "Well, I couldn't very well join ya if ya

went somewhere else, now could I?" Without waiting for his perission, she

slips into the seat opposite, grimacing as her joints complain. Silly

old things. "So what're ya carvin', then?"

Quinten holds up the beach wood "Not sure yet ma'am just practicing

seeign wot shape the wood brings out..." he trails off lowering the block

of wood starring at the hare...weasel tailed..thing "Wot on

earth....ma'am whose that?"

Seven is a chinchilla! :D He looks over those present within the dining

chamber, then he begins forward at a bit of a careful, practiced pace.

The way he looks and moves, it is apparent that Sev has done some

growing up, and looks more like a young adult at this point.

Quinten remains sat at one of the tables after the colonel and Seven both vanish into the crowd an array of carvng tools spread out

before him a large block of beach wood in his paws, slowly being

whittled down to size, into the shape of a shield,

( A sweaty, and slightly tostled Flaxpaw enters the dining room, still

chuckling, and heads over to grab a plate of salad, a muffin, and a

slice of carrot bread.  )

Gregorian follows Flax in and over to the food, glancing around as he

does and so spotting Quinten "Hullo Quint"

Quinten smiles nad looks up, putting down a whittling knife and picking

up his tea cup and sipping it "Hello Greg, Flax"

Flaxpaw pauses, drawing closer to Greg unconciously, and nods

uncertainly to Quin, whispering to Greg, "oh, I'd forgotten. think he's mad?"

Gregorian picks out a few things to add to his plate, a glance going up

and over to Quinten at Flax's question "Hmm?...He doesn't look mad"

Quinten sets back down his tea cup, ears flicking from side to side as

he starts carving again, humming softly, his table is totally empty

except for him.

Flaxpaw looks determined, her cheer fading. "I'd best apologise. seems

that's all I ever do these days." she heads over to Quinten's table,

trying not to look back to see if Greg is following, as she hopes he is.

"hey, Quin." she says softly, nervous.

Gregorian smiles slightly "Better than nevah apologizin' at all" and he

does indeed follow along behind her.

Quinten looks up and smiles "Hey Flax good day to you take a seat" he

nods at the bench opposite "Oh wait hold this" he presses his carving

knife into her paws and grabs a chisel slicing off a few pieces of stray

wood, "There now how are you today?"

Flaxpaw takes the knife, looking surprised. This is not how she

expected him to act. She sits down, though. "Fine, you?"

Gregorian sits down next to Flax and doesn't waste time in starting

eating glancing between the two after a moment.

Quinten takes the knife back and looks at her "I'm fine Flaxpaw? how

about you? anythin you want to say maybe?" he picks up wood and starts to

carve it again"

Flaxpaw shoots Greg a this-was-a-bad-idea look, and taking a deep

breath. Her salad sits in front of her, forgotten. "really going to make me

say it?" she asks, resigned.

Quinten leans over and pats her paw "Don't makeme have to do that again

Flax i hated it"

Gregorian smiles slightly and looks over at Flaxpaw a see now that

wasn't so bad look given back at her.

Flaxpaw looks down at the table. "I'll try, Quin. sorry."

Quinten smiles at Flax "its ok Flaxpaw i forgive ye now then keep your

food away from my tools or i'll spank ye both with a ruler an trust me

tha hurts"

Gregorian smirks faintly at Quinten "Yah try and spank me with anythin'

and not even yah boxin' skills will save yah"

Flaxpaw grins agreement. "I'd listen, Quin, he's not easy to get

around."

Quinten chuckls and stands up tidying his tools up in his satchel and

tucking the wood under his arm "Well i need to go up stairs got a

meeting with the Colonel, be back in a bit you hear"

Salamandastron: Meeting Room

Here is a chamber with one singular purpose: that of meeting,

obviously. Itis rather large - enough to contain the entire Long Patrol, easily. The

format is simple: rows of benches for the audience, and a podium for

whoever the speaker might be, located beneath the only window in the

room.The room is, otherwise, quite barren, and carved from the rock that is

socustomary to Salamandastron.

(ooc Note) be warned this exam was subject to a termporal annomaly of quite severe proportions. Quinten was taking it at the current time and date on the muck whilst

Terrance was taking it a month before. It is still a viable log but rather confusing if you are unaware of our ability to split time in twain. I mean we are Hare's after all.

Rows of long, narrow tables have been set up in front of the first two

rows of benches in the meeting room and young, eager recruits are

spaced sporadically amongst them, with at least a seat's width between each.

At the beginning of the exam, each recruit was given three slips of

blank parchment. By this point in the exam, most have filled them and

requested more. Zoe stands at the front of the room, sitting in a chair

while peering at a parchment through bespectacled eyes. An hour glass is

running out in front of her. "Two minute warnin' on this part o' the

exam, Recruits. Finish up 'n' prepare fer the next question."

(Terrance looks up to the hour glass at the colonel's warning and then

back to the answer that he's already finished, doing a quick look-see to

try and catch any mistakes before time's up.)

Quinten frowns at the hourglass and chews the end of his quill then

looks back down at his latest answer he needs to round it off to a

suitable conclusion...maybe....yes that works" lowering his head down again he

dips the pen and starts to write again."

Darklett's giving a bit of help moderating the exam, standing in the

back of the room to cover that area while Zoe watches the front. His eyes

scan over the back of the heads of each hare, whether he or she be

scrambling to finish a thought, slowly, deliberately wording a conclusion,

or, unfortunately, drawing a rather panicked blank, staring,

motionless, in horror, at their exam.

Quinten bounds over and picks up Tayona giggling "No no ye will like it

yis"

After announcing the two minute warning, the Colonel moved over to the

chalkboard to pick up a bit of chalk. She turned it away from the

recruits and, referring to the parchment in paw, began to write. "You are

leading a battle against a village encamped with vermin. The vermin force

is of equal number to your own, and several villagers are being held

captive. There is a wall surrounding the village, with two gates serving

as access points. Both of the gates are heavily guarded. How would you

use your forces (assuming that you have the full force of the Patrol)

to retake the village?" Having finished writing it, she glances to the

hour glass and sees that it is just running out. She waits until the

last grains have fallen and clears her throat. "Quills down, Recruits."

She slowly turns the chalkboard around, and reads the question aloud for

them. That done, she turns the hourglass over. "Ya've got ten minutes

t' complete this question, the last question on the written portion o'

this exam. Good luck."

Terrance takes a clean piece of parchment and ponders at the question

for a bit. After scratching underneath his jaw for a minute or so, Terr

starts to quickly scribble down his response. His plan involves having

a detatchment attack one gate whilst the majority of the force lies in

hiding. When the vermin focus their attention on the one attack, the

other force will attack the other gate, hopefully catching the vermin off

guard and flanking them.

Quinten stares at the question for a moment and feels like panicing, no

one mentioned this, calming himself down he writes it out on the page

and then starts to doodle, drawing in the hyperthetical battlefield,

annoting it with a key and directions showing how he'd set up his forces,

slowly building up a picture of the assault.

Zoe_Lang watches the sometimes shocked, sometimes angry faces of the

harried recruits. They have, after all, been sitting in this room for an

awful long time. She glances back to where Darklett stands and gives

him an amused smirk. Poor things. She returns her attention to the hour

glass, which has etches in the side marking off the ten-minute marks.

Watch, watch, watch. "Two minute warnin'..."

Terrance finishes up his written description of his plan, hoping it

will be understood easily enough. Leaning back in his chair, he idly

glances around slightly and sees some hares drawing out a sketch of their

battle plan. Looking back to his paper he looks up to the hour glass and

frowns. Two minutes isn't enough time to draw something out. He'll just

have to stick by what he wrote.

Quinten frowns nibbling the end of his quill and dipping it back in the

ink to mark in a final note on the final stage of te battle plan, he

sits up and smiles putting his quill down, there thats it, he hopes it is

clear enough. Glancing left and right he notes some hares have written

out the plan...oh dear...maybe a diagram is not acceptable...

Darklett smiles at the question, walking along the back end of the

meeting room, peering at a distance over the shoulders of the recruits. He

catches the smirk from the Colonel, and returns it, casting a glance

along the tops of the heads of all nervous recruits present.

"A'right! Quills down." Zoe sets the hour glass over on its side and

turns to the board to erase the question written there. "Roll yer

parchments t'gethah 'n' tie them with the string given t' ya at the beginnin'

of the exam and pass them t' the end of yer row. Those at the end o'

the rows, turn the exams ovah t' Majah Darklett."

Terrance stacks all of his parchments together and then rolls them up,

doing as asked with the piece of string. He passes his roll on down the

line, passing on a few others as he exchanges glances with a few other

recruits, giving a sigh of relieve at that part being over.

Quinten looks around franticly, string string where is the string damn

it this always happens to me.....he spies it on the floor and leans

down to pick it up, quickly tying up his parchment andhanding it along to

the end of the row, last......damn it

Darklett passes up the rows one by one, grabbing a bag off the floor

where he stood before and taking the rolled up parchment from each row

into it, straight-faced as he passed each hare up to the front of the

room, closing up the bag and looking to the Colonel, smirking again as he

lifts and lowers the bag roughly in waiting.

Zoe_Lang saves her smirk for Darklett and turns a reassuring smile on

the nervous recruits. "I'm sure ya all did great! We'll have yer scores

posted on the board in the rec room t'morrah aftah dinnah. Please do

/not/ bothah yer majah - /or/ yer lieutenant - for information on yer

scores before then. They will /not/ be able t' help ya." Obviously this

has been a problem in the past. That said, she gestures towards the door.

"Now fer the active portion of the exam. If you'll all wait outside,

we'll start callin' ya in one atta time." Another big smile. In other

words, get on out. XD

Terrance takes the hint and stands with the rest and shuffles out,

muttering a query to the recruit behind him who just shrugs in reply.

Quinten frowns worriedly and darts out of the room as soon as they are

told to leave, leaning against the wall and chattering to a few other

recruits about their answers to the questions, swapping answers and

frowning

Darklett drops the bag and turns to watch the recruit head out, unable

to hold back his mouth from curling up at its corners for just a

moment. Finally, they're all out of the room, and he full-out grins. "I've

never stood in on one of these things before," he comments to the

Colonel. "That last question was..." Chuckle. "Interesting."

Salamandastron: Level Two

You are in a medium-sized circular 'room' from which several passages

branch off.  Each passage fades off around a twisting corner, winding

around in the bowels of the mountain.  One passage, however, hardly

more than a short, straight hall, ends abruptly with a large wooden door -

the forge room.

Terrance comes out with the other recruits and gets in a line, standing

at ease along the wall with the door to the meeting room near by. He

chats quietly with the hare next to him, seeing if he knows what they are

about to face.

Quinten frowns as he talks quietly to the hare standing next to him, a

worried frown on his muzzle, no one seems to know what is next....but

from the rumours passing up and down the corridor....it could be quite

nasty if caught unprepared"

Terrance frowns as he gets nothing from the hare next to him as well

and so he just shakes his head and runs through different scenarios,

trying to think of what to do in each possable case

Quinten chews on an ear tip worriedly leaning forwards to talk to the

doe ahead of him, seeing if she has any idea what to expect either....

she shakes her head and whispers something to him, he shakes his head

and nods at the recruit behind

Zoe_Lang follows Darklett out of the meeting room, but holds the door

open to allow the two officers giving the second portion of the exam to

enter. She nods to each, holding up a parchment. She then calls for

attention. "A'right, folks! We'll start callin' folks in, now." She looks

down to the list, and calls out the first name on the list. It is an

Darklett stands on the other side of the entrance to the meeting room,

listening for the name to be called... Not one that sounds familiar to

him, though the hare that steps up has been seen around. Not a fighter,

at least...

Terrance sighs. Alphabetical. Greeaaatttt. This is going to take a

while for him then. Looking at the hare that steps forward, he gives a

quick nod to him and then goes back to waiting.

Quinten fidgets nervously fingering his collar, great he's right at the

bottom of that list....no one below Q in this group of recruits it

seems...damn. HE watches the runneh step forwards and whispers a good luck

to them

Zoe_Lang watches the buck trudge somewhat unwillingly into the room.

She turns her attention to the recruits left, some pacing and some just

staring off into the distance, looking vague and confused. She smiles,

however, when Quinten wishes them good luck. There's the spirit. She

turns her attention to Darklett. "Yer welcome t' poke yer head in t'

watch, if ya want."

Darklett watches the recruits as well, looking over them carefully,

picking out the fighter recruits he knows amongst them. "Peek in? ...Hah,

I might as well, I guess. I'm curious." He smirks and quietly blocks

any view of the recruits into the room, watching as, for now, the recruit

and testers are just discussing things for a moment.

Terrance glances towards the doorway and frowns a bit as the major

stands in front of it. Well so much for listening in. Terr just stands in

the at ease position against a wall, seemingly zoning out as he thinks

about things.

Quinten walks back down the corridor a short way, arms folded and

frowning worriedly, chewing on his ear tip again.

Zoe_Lang stands in front of Darklett. You know. Just for some /extra/

protection against the recruits glancing in. She glances over the

major's shoulder. They appear to be going through basic weapons use, at the

moment, both defending and attacking. One of the officers stands

opposite the recruit, while the other officer stands off to the side, making

marks on a parchment every now and then.

Darklett grins, letting his head peek out into the hallway again,

turning around. "Well, this one's doing well so far..." He peeks back in,

looking between all the participating hares in the meeting room. Things

are getting a little less basic now, and Darklett seems more attentive.

Terrance turns an ear as darklett pokes his head out and hms, maybe it

isn't that bad. Looking to the recruits pacing he jokes, "Putting a new

trench in the floor huh chaps?"

Quinten leans against the wall again and peers at the door, come on,,

come on all this waiting...its nerve wracking and if he has to sit

thorugh every single hares exam....

Bandem glances out the door of the dorm, slightly hung-over from last

night. Sighting the recruits, he refrains from exiting, but positions

himself where he can see without being seen.

The next time Zoe glances over Darklett's shoulder, it is to see a

recruit heading towards her and the major. She grins and steps aside, to

make way for the possibly-harried recruit to exit. "Well. That was quick,

eh?"

Marsuvees comes down from the third story...backwards, staring up the

stairway and grumbling. Holding onto his hat, he turns...and bumps

straight into the back of a recruit. Rattling off a harsh oath, he blinks

suddenly, staring about him. "What th'...?" The hall is full. Flickering

his ears about, he sniffs, and pokes out gently at a hare, who just

happens to be Bandem. "Oy, mate. What's goin' on 'ere, hm? All this

confounded amalgamation a hares an' all, I means."

Terrance looks as the recruit comes out and smirks as a good portion of

those waiting swamp him asking him questions. Terr stands on the

outskirts, not asking anything but hoping to gleam something

Quinten pauses and watches the recruit, nodding his head to them,

listening to the colonel's words. /Quick..she siad quick is that a good

thing...or a bad thing....heavens knows..."

Darklett chuckles again, watching the recruits swarm around the recruit

that just finished... He simply steps out of the way for the next hare

to come through, seeing if he'll recognize him or her.

The recruit in question has been ordered not to divulge any information

on the exam, so he's left to vague statements like, "Oh, itwasn'tsobad,

heh?" Zoe merely grins and looks back down to the parchment. She calls

out the next name, then the next, and the next... Each recruit takes

about five-ten minutes, depending, but it's a fairly small number who are

taking the exam. Soon enough, Quinten's name is called.

Quinten jumps as his name is called totally wasn't expecting that...

Surely R can't be right before Q....can it?" he shuffles forwards chewing

on an ear, he tugs it out and looks about feeling rather lonely now

that the others have been in. He pauses by the door and looks at Zoe and

Darklett worriedly.

Terrance grunts as the recruit doesn't hand over any details and so the

huddle breaks up. Terr goes back to his place holding up the wall where

he waits as each of the recruits go in and out.

Zoe_Lang gives Quinten an encouraging pat on the shoulder, and a smile.

"Just think of Gabby there t' congratulate when ya find ya've passed,

lad." She smiles and ushers him in then looks toward the dwindling group

of recruits. There are three left, with Ter among their numbers.

Quinten darts inside with a smile at the Colonel's words, thats

encouraging....he should be able to get quite the kiss off Gabby if he

passes...and tells her at just the right moment..." the door shuts behind him

with a click.

Terrance sighs as he looks around at the two others left. "Well chaps,

almost done it looks like. What are yer names anyhow?" One replies with

Steve and the other replies with Sergan. "Great, so I guess that puts

me at tha bottom o' tha list. Well good luck ta tha both o' ya."

Zoe_Lang leans against the closed door for a moment, then pushes off to

head toward the remaining recruits. She smiles to each in turn, patting

one on the shoulder. "You'll do fine, Recruits. I know it's hard bein'

the last t' go in somethin'."

Quinten is out of sight inside the room for about twenty minutes

finally walking out into view and looking a bit dazed, he pauses just outside

the door and frowns as he looks about for the Colonel or Major not sure

what to do next.."

Bandem watches, quite interested in the process, as, being a warrior of

sufficient skill, he skipped the exam.

Terrance shifts his wait around as he continues to hold up the wall in

the at ease position. Finally the recruit comes out and he winces at

the look on his face, then looks to the other two left.

Zoe_Lang looks around as she hears Quinten exit the room. She tries to

hide her amusement at his dazed look; she's seen it a million times.

"Sergen," she calls to the next recruit, and then turns her attention to

Quinten. She goes through the same thing she has with almost every

other dazed recruit. "Yer free t' go now, lad. Good work 'n' good job. Get

yerself some food; ya've been at it a long time, now."

Quinten nods dumbly to the Colonel and salutes, walking down the

corridor he whispers a goodluck to the remaining three recruits "Yes

ma'am...thank ye ma'am..." he moves towards the stairs leading upstairs

Bandem glances out, and seeing that there are few recruits left, exits

the dorm.

Terrance sighs a bit. One more in line ahead of him and that's it.

Zoe_Lang looks between the two remaining recruits, rocking back on her

heels and then forward again. Her paws slip in her pockets, and every

now and then she glances over her shoulder, expecting Sergen to come

out. Finally he does, and Steve is sent in. She turns her eyes around to

Terrance. The last. "Nervous, lad?"

Quinten has left the hall by now making his way upstairs to go collapse

in the rec room or someplace where he can get a drink and unwind and

relax

Terrance looks towards Zoe and says, "Not really marm. Been waiting too

long ta be nervous anymore" he says, giving a slight smile. "I'd just

like ta get this done with marm."

Salamandastron: Infirmary

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

This is the infirmary for the long patrol.  This room is one of the

most well lit rooms in the whole of Salamandastron, with several candles

placed strategically along the shelves and cupboards.  Many wooden beds line

the walls of this room, each outfitted with impeccably clean white linen

sheets.  This unfortunately limits the walking space in this room.

Where there are not beds there are shelves and cabinets that hold a variety

of different medical equipment, mostly needles and bandages.  A single

stone sink is firmly lodged into one of the counters.  The sink is not fancy,

in fact it is quite awkward. It is a necessity, nonetheless.  An open

closet is in the corner of the room, storing a surplus of compact cots, in the

unusual case of mass injuries. The room usually has several nurse hares

in it, roaming around tending to various injuries.

For some reason this makes Sev chuckle dryly. "Maybe no' yet, Audri.

Jus' doesn' seem t'be tha' big a priority righ' now, aye." The runner

gazes everywhere but her for a while, looking around the infirmary as if

it is like he has walked right out of a dream. Both his hat and his fake

tail have been rested beside him on the cot, though still looking

piratey.

Audri's head tilts slightly, eyes squinting again as she peers at the

runner curiously. "Mmkay. But ya will, won't ya?" She asks while taking

another drink of water as her face becomes more flushed.

The door swings open and Quinten shuffles in after that exam earlier

he's figuring it will be mostly quietly in the infirmary and he can get

some quiet in here, he needs to unwind after that and is feeling a bit

jittery still.

Seven rests one paw on the cot, arms around his leg as his ears tip

back and his attention returns to Audri. "Oh. Yes. I will. Don' worry

t'much." His speech cuts off as he hears the door open, and then Quinten

moves inside. The young buck clears his throat, gazing downward with

nothing else stated.

The mass number of zombiefied recruits makes it an easy guess that

there was an exam, today. Thus, when Taye saw Quinten duck into the

infirmary, he was quick to follow. He pokes his nose inside the door, glancing

around. Upon seeing the recruit in question, as well as Audri and what

appears to an unfamiliar buck, he pushes the door open the rest of the

way and enters.

"K." Audri murmurs, ears drooping again as she snuggles back into her

pillows, not looking so good suddenly. She glances towards the door as

hares begin to enter, offering a tiny wave to Taye. "Evenin' Taye."

Quinten looks back at Taye and smiles softly at him and waves then his

eyes settle on the buck and he blinks noting the crazy outfit....the

large fluffy tail...and yet the real hares ears, its the odd ball from

early "Who on earth...." he moves closer

Taye grins to Quinten, but even at this distance he sees that

something's up with Audri. The grin fades, and he heads on over, eyeing the

older buck curiously. "... 'Llo, Audri. Everythin'?"

Seven has settled into a bit of an uncomfortable silence, which only

seems to make him more tense when more hares begin to show up. Actually,

the runner looks to be even more withdrawn than before he was captured.

So here he is, on Audri's cot, scowling down at his footpaw. Crap.

Whisker flick.

Audri glances at Seven, giving him a weak nudge with her footpaw as he

grows silent. She nods to Taye as her eyes close slightly. "'m fine.

Just a little hot is all. 'n this is Seven. He just got back."

Quinten scratches his ears in puzzlement and looks at Audri "you are

sure Everything ok?" he asks her before he turns on Seven and peers at

him "Excuse me sah....Seven? whose Seven?" he peers at the other buck.

A mumble is given to Audri, though it probably wouldn't be understood

even by the dibbun anyway. Sev raises a paw bearing a tattered

fingerless glove to wave at those others that have arrived without looking up

from resolutely staring downward. Uncomfortable. So different than when

he was with the vermin.

Taye's eyebrows go up. Oh. /Oh/. Seven. He looks upon Seven with

new-found interest and a hint of recognition. "... Wow. Seven. How'd ya make

it b-" He pauses at the tattered-glove wave, finishing off lamely.

"-ack?"

Audri has grown quiet, curling up on her cot while her body trembles

faintly. She again gives the quiet runner a weak nudge as she tries to

keep her eyes open.

Quinten blinks and looks totally baffled, taking in the outfit...the

tail....the buck.. "Wot on earth?" he scratches an ear in confusion

"Great he was hoping for a nice peaceful rest in a corner and now he finds

phsyco buck 101...maybe this is some kind of test "Uhmm...do any

officers know he is back then?" he looks at him "Hi...i'm Quin..."

Seven looks up to Taye, green eyes more intense than his present

attitude towards everything. And at the nudge, he opens his mouth. "Long

story. Bu' it's borin' anyway." So the sniper leans back so that he is

rested on his paws, baggy pant legs rolled up somewhat. Then his gaze turns

to Quin. "'Ello."

Taye looks away. Erhem. "Ah, well. S'long as yer a'right... Yer not

injured or anythin'?" He glances back long enough to pin Seven with a

confused look, which he transfers to Audri. Meh?

Audri grins faintly as the runner actually speaks, trying to sit up

again but failing. She shrugs her shoulders at Taye's look, mouthing 'He's

kinda shy' before curling more on her cot, looking very sick.

Quinten looks at Audri then back to Seven and holds out a paw

"Well...its nice to meet you erm Seven was it? Glad you uhm made it back safe

and sound after your...uhm boring ordeal....would ye like something to

eat? some err normal clothing?" he looks at Audri and nods "Well

uhm....if it'd help i'll go find someplace else to grab a bit of quiet.."

Seven has gone to playing idly with anything he can get his fingers on.

The hat is the first, being pulled back into his lap, then his gloves

themselves as well, with ears pinned. Well he just doesn't know what to

say or do. When Audri moves, his attention flicks that way and he gets

up, a little taller, but still very short compared to a lot of the

others. "Ya sure yer alrigh', Audri?" A glance is sent to the offered paw

and he distractedly takes it, then leans over the squirrel again, ears

perking. "No thanks."

Quinten stands there the other buck holding his paw "Ok...well thought

i'd offer ye know.." he looks at Taye, eyes beseeching /please

help...wot do i do?/ the young teenage buck not got any idea what to do.

Taye looks from Audri to Seven, looking uncertain. In the end, he jumps

up. "Ya look like ya need a healah..." To Audri, that is. He turns,

making a bee-line for the nearest one.

Audri finally shakes her head, eyes closed once more. "'m feelin'

really hot 'n my stomach feels funny." She murmurs softly, eyes cracking

open to glance towards Taye.

Seven seems to have forgotten he has a hold on Quinten's paw. That is,

when Audri states this, his grip tightens a little, swallowing tightly.

"It.. it 'as somethin' t'do with the cut..doesn' it?" The runner blinks

towards Taye, with a gritting of teeth.

Quinten stands up and nods "Yes....good idea Taye" he moves to lay a

paw on Audri's forehead to see if she is burning up "Seven..sah could you

get me some cool water and a cloth maybe?" still holding Seven's paw he

squeezes back and frowns looking up towards the healer Taye has

summoned "Come on old girl...you'll be fine"

Audri bites her lip, ears pinning back. "Well..yea but it was from what

I did, not ya. So..don't worry over it. Please." She mumbles. Her

forehead feels as if its on fire, little beads of sweat beginning to pop up

on the squirrel's brow.

Seven's eyes widen, staring at Audri. Oh great. This makes him feel

/wonderful/. When Quinten speaks, he actually realizes that he is there

still. Whoops. Sev lets go of the younger buck's paw, shifting. "No." Is

stated in response to the recruit. "If anythin' ge' /meh/ the cloth.."

He suddenly begins to dig through his pockets, wishing he had his bag

with him right now. Then again they're in an infirmary. And.. there's a

healer. The sniper/runner gives another whisker twitch and moves

backward.

Quinten nods and listens to the healer darting off to grab a bowl and a

cloth, filling the bowl with cold water, great so much for that quiet

peaceful unwinding from the exam, he's even more het up now and its

showing, ears flicking in agitation, bob tail flicking rapidly as he hops

from paw to paw standing next to seven
