RW Abbey: Dibbun's Room

About you is a rather dis-organized room.  Everything from clothing to a few toys to empty dishes are spread about the place in a giant mess that suggests that either a tornado went through this location, or perhaps, a sometimes rather similar thing, a large amount of dibbuns.  The shape is of a square, and a few pieces of furniture are near the walls.  Piles of miscellaneous dibbun toys are heaped onto everything around.  Your light source appears to be a few torches lit almost all the time, hanging onto the walls, held higher up by torch holders.  They light the place rather well.  You see two doors along one wall.  One is labeled "Boys Room", and the other "Girls Room". Two other doors come from this room.  One leads into a neatly organized,  clean room, though what it's purpose is hard to tell.  The other goes into a hallway.

It's quiet in the dibbuns' room at the moment...Until a shriek of delight echoes and a little mousie runs in!  He's brown-furred and dark-eyed, and clearly quite a pawful as he charges about, whacking everything in sight with a pillow.  A mole and a vole chase after him; clearly this is an ongoing campaign between the three of them.  They exchange pillow strikes furiously.

A female squirrel was already in here, drawing on a pillow with charcoal.  Squeaking with alarm, she dodges out of the way of the beasts who entered.  The door to the girl's room bangs open, and a gosling and a mole enter, the latter chasing the prior.  Honking, the gosling grabs a pillow in her bill and goes to swing at whoever's closest (which happens to be the vole), shouting, "DAB forever! HONK!"  Feathers go flying as the molemaid whacks her across the bum with the pillow, which promptly explodes.

The vole yelps as he's bowled over, and the first mole, a male, jumps at the squirrel.  "HURRRRURURURURURURRUR!" he gibbers in a baritone voice, sounding quite silly.  The mouse, meanwhile, sneezes as the pillow's feathers rain on him.

More Dibbuns pour out of the girls room, and the boy's room door opens and little male beasties come piling in.  The gosling honks and flaps her stubby (albeit fluffy) wings and tries to waddle away, but she is immediately bowled over by a flying pillow.  The squirrelmaid squeaks in alarm once more as a mole tackles her.  She grabs her charcoal-covered pillow and goes to smack him upside the head with it.  "Baffs nevah!  'Cept fer you!"  More Dibbuns take up the cry, and soon the whole room is ringing with squeaks, squeals, and the warcry of "DAB forever!"

The mole is clouted in the head and charcoal dust sprays everywhere.  The young mouse, who goes by the name Tiberius, charges after the gosling and picks her up, holding her over his head safely."DAB FOWEVAH!"  the volemaid from earlier shouts, jumping up on an otterlad's back, causing him to trip and fall, sending his pillow swing wild right into Tiberius, and both he and the gosling are knocked over.

The gosling honks in even greater alarm as she is picked up.  Wriggling like a landed fish, she tries desperately to fly, even though she's not even close to getting even the beginnings of any flight feathers.  She manages to land on her webbed feet and starts waddling away again  The squirrelmaid is now trying to stuff a filthy hankie up the mole's nose.  A rat Dibbun is trying to hit Tiberius with a candied chestnut-filled pillowcase.

Tiberius yelps at the hard impact of the chestnuts, but he manages through extreme dexterity to nab one and he munches on it as he continues to whale away at his opponents.  The hankie goes up the moleboy's snout and he snorts loudly and comically.

The squirrelmaid laughs at the mole, then runs over and goes to smack a badger, barely able to toddle, upside the head with her charcoal-covered pillow.  The gosling has finally made it to her destination--a pile of toys!  Digging through it with her bill, she pulls out a very stale scone, hard as a rock.  She flicks her long neck, sending it flying towards the molelad.  A little female newt goes to scramble up Tiberius' leg.

The mole yelps as the scone hits him in the rump and he straightens up quite emphatically, clutching his stubby tail.  Tiberius shrieks and wriggles as the female newt climbs up his leg.  "Tickles!"

The gosling honks and flaps her wings again.  "Baffs nevah, play forevah!"  The squirrelmaid goes to hit the baby badger again, then dashes around the perimeter of the room, whacking all and asundry.  The newt goes to scramble onto the top of the mouse's head and hug his ear.  Because of reasons.

Tiberius pets the newt tentatively.  The mole, thinking the volemaid was the one who got him with the scone, whacks her with his pillow, sending her flying into the squirrelmaid, so the squirrel's face lands in her own charcoal-coated pillow!

The newt has decided that the mouse's ear would make a good security blanket.  The squirrelmaid shouts as she goes down, and other squirrels come to her defense and rescue.  The chaos and madness of the dormitory continues as happy DAB members continue to pummel the snot out of each-other (mostly figuratively, although there are exceptions).
