RW Abbey: Entry

------------------------------------------------------------

You stand on a grassy sward between two cottages.  To the south you see a small, calm pond.  To the north lies an open space where the Abbey has its feasts in the warmer seasons. To the east is the Great Hall, a massive structure that rises far above the abbey walls and is completed with large towers that pierce upwards into the sky.  The main building is completed with a large, iron banded door that would allow one into the Great Hall.

Mice: Emyuil, male.  DoraRose, female.  Cynthia, female.

Badgers: Zinnia, female.

Emyuil hasn't seen DoraRose all day and he's looking for her now by the entry.  He figures she's bound to be through here at some point--it's lovely weather for a walk.  He's sitting on the stairs by the ramparts, hunched over, watching the near-cloudless sky.

DoraRose is 100 percent oblivious to the nice weather.  Storming from the direction of the Training Yard, she hefts her axe, Nightsong.  Her sword is strapped to her back, over her black cloak.  Clothed in her black tunic, black boots, and black leggings, she looks like a cloud of pure rage as she marches right past her brother, not even aware of his presence.  LilyMoore is following her, carrying the haversack.  "Momma, please, take me with you!"  The Warrior ignores her tears as she gently takes the haversack from her, although from her  clenched jaw and fiery eyes, she looks like she's ready to kill somebody.

Emyuil immediately can tell what's up.  He sprints off to the Training Yard, grabs Nevermore, and  stops at his sister's side.  "Where and who?" he demands, the words falling like stones into an abyss from his lips.

Zinnia walks, or sort of walk stumbles almost from the open ground. She woke up all dizzy and groggily and instead of waiting to be fully alert like a normal beast she  got up right away and went into the open ground area and towards the entry.  "...Where....ooooh" She gives up and sits, paw on the side of her head.

It's Lily who answers her Uncle, tears pouring down her face as she sobs out, "Caleb!  H...he's b...been kid...kidnapped b...by Z...z...Zurrgg!!"  Rose gives her brother a cold stare, then gently pushes her daughter to the ground.  "You may not come with me, Lily," she says softly as the maid sits in the dirt, bawling her little heart out.  Dora looks at the badger as she goes to lift the bar off the Main Gate.  "I don't know where Zee is, but he had better hurry and get to Zurrgg if he wants a share in the fight.  The fat cat is MINE."

Emyuil walks over to Lily, goes to give her a hug, but his eyes are fierce, cold and dead.  "We'll get Caleb back. I swear it on my blood. And Zurrgg will die."  He turns to DoraRose.  "Sister...if you want him in one piece you'll have to get there before I cut him apart bit by bit." He finds himself falling into his old ways, into habits he hasn't displayed in a while.   He is remembering the hunt, the chase...the kill.  And he's ready for it.

Zinnia frowns, "Zurrgg has...has Xander also and Uncle Zee went to look for him, I know he did"

DoraRose stops.  She just stops.  Her knuckles turn white as her paw tightens on her axe shaft/  Turning, she walks over to the badger, goes to rest her paw on her shoulder.  "I will bring Xander back," she whispers, one mother to another.  "I promise.  Or I will die trying.  No parent should have to mourn their child."  She then goes to give her hug.  Next, she leads the still-sobbing Lily over to the Recorder.  "Do me a favour and keep her here; I.....I can't stand having to worry about both of my children."  She manages to avoid LilyMoore's feeble grasping at her as she turns and stares at her brother, eyes cold and hard.  "Awesome.  Let's go catch us a wildcat, hmm?"  She goes back to unbarring the gate.  The guard who is there knows better that to try and stop either of the Warriors.  "Er, ah, I'll make sure to tell the Abbot an' the Champ'on where you 2 went," he manages to tell them.  Rose ignores him.

In turn, Emyuil ignores the guard as well. "Let's hunt."  His paws shake from fury as he grips the hilt of his dark blade.  His black eyes are just as empty and cold as those of his sister.  But inside the dead void, there's a spark of hatred, and fury.  A conflagration waiting to be unleashed on anybeast in his way.

Zinnia listens and frowns "So...you want me to keep an eye on Lilymoore for you? How long will you be out?"

DoraRose gives the Recorder and Lily one last glance.  "Until I have our children back."  And then she leaves the Abbey.  Lily tries to jump up and follow her out...

Emyuil heads out, his blood boiling, ready to rip off somebeast's face.

Zinnia gently goes to lay a paw on her shoulder "Lilymoore...wait, I am sure your mom will be ok"

Collapsing again, Lily sucks in her breath in a sob.  "B...b...but h...he's m....my b...br....bro....broth....brother!  I...I...." she can't continue, she's crying so hard.

Zinnia frowns and, if allowed, goes to hug her and lead her inside "It's...ok...I know how you feel. I am worried also but we know they are alive.  Like I worry about my Uncle, he" She sighs "He put sleeping herbs in my drink and he looked serious on finding Zurrgg, he even...even had papa's armor on"

RW Abbey: Great Hall

The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here.  A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance.  The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist.  The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.

  The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.

  Soft light is slowly beginning to filter in through the stained glass windows high above your head.

Allowing herself to be hugged and led inside, Lily just cries harder at the news that Zee was wearing Zork's armour.  "B...b..." she's obviously trying to say something, but she's bawling so hard she can't make anything coherent come out of her mouth.

Cynthia starts to come downstairs and stops, she sits on the bottom stair for now and just looks over at them.

Zinnia keeps the hug a little while and helps her to a chair, "I was told to try and not worry, not...dwell on things, I did before and well...it made things worse"

"But Caleb could get killed!!  An'....and so c...could Momma!!!"  Lily finally manages to get out.  She slumps into the chair, feeling incapable of standing for another minute.  The emotional strain is just too much; she can /feel/ that something's wrong, but she has no idea where he twin could possibly be.

Cynthia frowns "Caleb is...where is he? What happen?" So much for being silent, "Maybe he is just in the kitchens...right?" She walks over to them sounding worried.

Zinnia turns and sees the other mousemaid "He...is missing but someone is out looking for him"

LilyMoore has calmed down a little bit.  Sitting up she manages to say through her tears, "Zurrgg kidnapped h...him an'.....and X.....Xander!"  She sobs and covers her eyes with her paws.

Cynthia starts to stutter "W...W...what?!" She has heard some of Zurrgg "But how?  He needs found...we need to look now" She starts to rush to the entry.

Zinnia frowns and she gets up to block her path "No" she says firmly" I repeat he is already being looked for and we don't need more out there to get lost or hurt or worse. Yes I want to go out my self but I can't and I know that"

Hopping up, Lily dashes her tears away and goes to stand beside the other mousemaid.  "But how will we know if he's found??  How will he know if Momma and Uncle Emyuil and Zee are okay?  We've got to do something!!"

Cynthia frowns "But...But...what if he is not found?  What if I never see him again and he wont know I...I...I..." she sniffs "I love him..." And since she can't go outside she rushes off to the kitchens to find her mom or dad.

Zinnia sighs and starts to reach out and then lets her go to the kitchens , she looks back to Lilymoore "I don't know what will happen, I truly don't but hopefully Martin will be with them"

Shaking her head, LilyMoore also runs away, headed towards the Infirmary, then to the Belltower by the outside Infirm stairs.  She doesn't know what she's feeling, she just knows that she needs some time to think...

Zinnia looks as they both...great two different directions and she is unsure whom to go after first and sighs loudly "Now what?" She asks a passing novice who just shrugs and has no clue.

Will Caleb be rescued?

Will Cynthia and LilyMoore be stupid and leave the Abbey anyway?
