Redwall Abbey's Great Hall

Scioto the cat.  LilyMoore the mouse, Blisa the cat, Ferdinand the ferret, and Angela the mouse. Astra the cat. Flicktail the fox.  Chud the otter.  Thorn the rat.

Scioto sits in one of the chairs close to the fireplace, he has yet to talk to anyone besides a guard so far and a novice who brought him some cordial, he drums his fingers on a table as if debating weather to stay or just forget this and leave, or maybe just leave as he glances at the stairs as if expecting someone to come down.

Someone does come down the stairs, but it's probably not who the cat is expecting.  LilyMoore comes barreling out of the staircase like a jaggernaught, dashes across the hall, slides to a stop beside the Chieftain and crawls under his chair.  At about the same moment, the front door to the Hall opens, admitting Blisa wrapped up in so many layers it's just barely distinguishable who's under there, followed by a very ticked-off-looking Ferdinand.  The cat runs over to her father and throws her arms around his neck and the ferret follows at a more sedate pace, taking off his layers.  Just as he reaches his bosses' chair, angry shouts can be heard from the stairwell, and the mouse under the chair giggles mischievously.

Scioto blinks a few times as all this happens, he doesn't return the hug right away but does after a moment or two has passed, "Blisa..." He says softly and manages a smile, he nods to Ferdinand, "Greetings...I was just planning a quick trip here, which may end soon since it appears all beasts are busy and the trip is not, well too important, it could wait for another day"

Blisa starts to unwrap her layers.  "Well, that's okay.  I had fun traveling here, anyway."  Ferdinand nods, then gives the Dibbun under the chair an odd look.  LilyMoore peeks out from her hiding place under Scioto's chair, then ducks back under as her great-grandmother comes hobbling out of the stairwell.  Scowling, she starts poking the pillows piled in a corner, trying to find the miscreant.

Astra makes her way down the stairs and slows as she notices Blisa but doesn't say anything yet and slowly walks a little closer just watching her and Scioto, she doesn't wish to disturb them.

Scioto nods "I am glad your ok and..." He catches sight of Astra and goes quiet, he clears his throat and simply nods to her.

Flicktail comes skipping down the stairs

Angela is still quietly and methodically searching every nook and cranny in the hall, ignoring the other beasts.  LilyMoore stays under the chair and watches her  carefully.  Blisa smiles, then, as she starts to unwind her scarf from around her neck, she turns her head just enough to catch sight of the other female cat.  She freezes and the smile drains away from her face.  Ferdinand looks between the 3 cats anxiously, wishing he knew what to do.

Astra starts to smile and then frowns a little, she moves some headfur from her face and quietly sits in a chair away from the others after muttering a "Sorry...I will, just be over...yeah" She sits down in the chair .

Flicktail looks around and pauses, all except his tail which flicks all over the place "my wood VISITORS" he smiles "Hello there Blisa...Lord Scioto" he smiles deciding to sit next to Astra "Ferdinand...wonderful to see ya...welcome to the Abby.

Chud walks in, his breath misting in the air and his skin red under his fur from the cold.  He has a kind of watchcap on his head that keeps sliding down to partially obscure his eyes, forcing him to keep pushing it back upwards off his face.  He looks around and analyzes the situation quickly.  Flicky over there, a few cats staring each other down there, an old mousewife rummaging around _there_...He takes a seat by the fire, humming cheerily.

Blisa lets her paws fall to her sides. "Astra?" She half-whispers, hardly daring to believe her eyes. Ferdinand smiles nervously at the fox, then returns to the cat-stare-down-thing happening, pawing at here the hilt of his sabre is supposed to be, and would be if bodyguards were allowed to carry weapons around in the abbey. Phooey and fiddle. Angela pauses in her search for LilyMoore (who is hiding under a chair, rather successfully, too) to watch the meeting.

Astra nods to Blisa, "Yes, it's me. I am...sorry if I showed up at a bad time or so it seems that way I didn't know where else to really go." She folds her paws into her lap and frowns.

Scioto sighs a little, "She was staying at the village for a couple days, so far that's all." He seems to go deep into thought before saying "But prehaps it's not a wise move for her to stay too long, I..I don't really know."

Flicktail looks around, his footpaws perhaps near Lillymore and he looks around "I detect a lil...tension ere...' he turns to Astra who seems, in his opinion, to need a friend "Astra is it? well your always welcome to me marm"

Chud hums to himself some more, thinking along to the tune.  /When my heartstrings come undone...I will wait for you, pray for you...before I make my final run...I will stay with you, decay with you.../  He takes out a journal and a piece of charcoal from his belt pouch and begins writing, but not those lyrics.  Something else.

Blisa blinks her green eyes.  "I...you never said....I thought....buh...."  she looks close to crying from a tangled mixture of conflicting emotions.  Ferdinand lays a paw on her shoulder and smiles faintly at the other female cat.  He can tell she's not trying to be mean or hurtful.  LilyMoore peeks out from her hiding place, her eyes wide.

Astra looks at all of the beasts in the room, maybe it was better if she didnt tag along to the abbey.She slowly stands and just leaves the room without a word, a word to anyone or a look to anyone as she looks at the floor and walks slowly and then speeds up once outside.

Scioto watches Astra head off and his ears go flat as he frowns. He would follow but decides its best not to right now.

Flicktail sibs back rocking and shakes his head "Kindness always be a better path" he says to no one in particular, almostto himself. he loves his rocker and rocks waitong for the tension to break

Chud scribbles a bit more in the notebook, then reads it quietly out loud. "The measure of true glory is not to give battle in the bright noon of war, surrounded by brave comrades on the field of victory, but to fight on alone in darkness, with no hope of aid or even remembrance, and to spit defiance in midnight's eye."

Blisa does start to cry, her confusing emotions getting the better of her.  Ferdinand looks sad, too, even though her really doesn't know Astra.  LilyMoore ducks back under the chair as Angela continues her search.

Scioto glares slightly at Flicktail before comforting Blisa, "Its ok Blisa...we can just go home soon and not worry too much on what happen today. I was going to maybe get a couple things for that party you wanted...but we don't have to and I don't have to have a meeting with anyone, it can wait till another day. I am sorry Astra was here if she has upset you any"

Flicktail does not seem phase by the feline glare, though he had hoped top comfort Blissa "While yer all ere...I am getting Married to the Vixen Rayen...it will be this spring, I hope you will all come..."

Chud casts a glance over at Blisa briefly, then stifles a chuckle when he spots Lily.  He closes his eyes ,puts his journal away, and basks in the warm of the fireplace.

Blisa hugs her father, mumbling, "I want my party to be perfect.  It...it's okay..." she sniffs her tears away, then sits on an ottoman right on the heart and rubs her eyes on her blue crocheted scarf.  Ferdinand sits on another ottoman, silently wondering why his boss has suddenly gotten so quiet, but not really worrying about it.  Angela comes over and goes to pat the fox on the head in a very distracted manner.  "I'm sure ye 2 will has a wonderful marriage.  I say, 'ave any of ye seen my great-granddaughter LilyMoore?  She's caused and awful mess in the Infirm, and I was gonna make 'er clean it up, but I can't find 'er."  LilyMoore, for her part, is hardly daring to breathe as she hides extremely well under the feline Chieftains' chair.

Flicktail looks around and says to Ferdinand softly "Tell me what the issue is with them....wot am I missing?"

Chud can't help himself now and he puts his fist into his mouth to stifle his laughter as he observes Angela's fruitless search.  "Narr, haven't seen her," the otter lad finally gasps out.

Ferdinand shrugs in a befuzzled manner as Angela threatens the otter with her staff.  "Aye, I know when a creature is lying to me!  Where is she? Tell me, or I'll tonic ye so badly you'll be bedridden for a month!"  Blisa can't help but giggle at this threat, even though she's obviously still in emotional stress.  "Do it, Angela!  It'd be funny!"  she whispers.  LilyMoore curls up into an even tinier ball, her gaze fixed on her great-grandmother's feet.

Flicktail looks over "oh Ello chud, I wouldnottell if I was you, too many beasts wont ta see wot appens" he looks at Ferdiand "Ferdy....I woudl sure like to pal around wi ya more but i don;t understand all this...will ya come to our wedding

Chud keeps laughing, saying to Angela, "Easy, there, old one.  You'll find her in good time, I'm sure."  He winks to Lily.

Angela quickly looks under the chair in the direction the otter winked, and LilyMoore screams and dashes off as the elderly healer pokes her in the back with her staff.  "Get back 'ere, you delinquent!"  Blisa watches the whole thing wide-eyed, silently wondering if the old mouse could ever possibly catch the lithe, younger mouse.  Ferdinand shrugs and says evasively, "Only if Mith Blitha cometh, and the'll probably only come if her father cometh."

Flicktail looks over at Fedinand "well I will ask Scioto and Blisa to come along, I would REALLY want you to be there Ferdy...I really like you

Chud chills quietly now that the whole Lily thing is resolved.  He gazes into the fire briefly before looking up at the Tapestry.  Somehow, every time he sees it feels like the first time.

LilyMoore has not allowed the situation to be resolved, and as she runs around at top speed, evading the elderly healer, she grabs a pillow and goes to boff the otter upside the head as she runs past.  "You betrayed me, you jerk!"  Angela scowls and shakes her staff at the Dibbun.  "Ladies do NOT say that word!"  "I'm norra lady, and Momma says it sometimes!"  Blisa is quiet as she watches the Dibbun race around with seemingly inexhaustible energy.  Ferdinand shrugs, hoping the fox won't press the issue.  "We'll thee what happenth."

Flicktail nods and reluctantly leaves Ferdy to Ferdy "so chud wot ya writin?" he asks as he makes a seat beside him for Blissa, whom he likes a little

Chud throws up his arms to protect himself. "Harr, good one!" he chuckles. He grabs a pilllow of his own. "It is ON."

Blisa scoots closer to her bodyguard and the fire at the same time, smiling sadly at the fox, then turnign to look at the flames, which light her green eyes eerily.  Ferdinand relaxes slightly, and pulls out a grass belt he's weaving, working on it.  Angela goes ot trip the otter, scolding him.  "Don't ye dare encourage 'er!  LILYMOORE LOISE!" she adds as the Dibbun smacks the healer in the bum with the pillow then dashes off.

Flicktail comes over to sit next to Blissa next to the fire "why so sad Blisa?

Chud grins as he jumps over the footpaw that seeks to trip him so sneakily!  He charges off into the kitchens.

LilyMoore charges off after the otter, and Angela groans and follows stiffly after them as Blisa shrugs infuriatingly.  "I...I didn't expect to see Astra....like, ever...."

Flicktail nods to Blissa "well...I do not know what is the problem with Astra and you..."

Blisa sniffs and dashes a stupid tear from her cheek.  "I thought she was going to be my new Mom, and then she left without even saying good-bye!  But I missed her so much."  Ferdinand keeps quietly weaving the belt.  You learn more by using your 2 ears then by using your 1 mouth.

Flicktail nod nods "well I am sorry she made you sad....am I invited to yer party?"

Thorn is on the stairs and peeks downstairs

Blisa sniffs again and nods.    She starts picking at a snag on her cloak.  She's still wearing most of her winter wear.  Ferdinand glances at the rat on the stairs and smiles softly, but other than that doesn't acknowledge her presence.  He understands wanting to not be seen.

Flicktail says, "Good I want to come and bring ya a present...you think yer father will bring you and ol Ferdy to me weddin?"

Blisa shrugs.  "You'll have to ask him," she mumbles, then stands and heads up the staircase.  Ferdinand waves good-bye to the fox and the rat, then follows his petite charge.
