Settings:the Ferravale tavern. Dirt road.

Characters:Scioto the cat;Blisa the cat;Raymond the wildcat;Brutus the wildcat

Scioto is finising an ale and slowly sits the mug down on the table. He examains his blade as he stands and places it back where it belongs, a guard comes over and the two talk,then the guard heads elsewere.

The door to the tavern opens slightly, and angered grunting can be heard as Blisa fights to get it open far enough for her to enter.  The door was obviously not made for dibbuns.  Finally, a random rat takes pity on her and opens the door, and she slips inside, smiles at him, and gives him her most ladylike 'thank you'.  Looking around, she spots her father and makes her way over to his side.  "Hi, Daddy."

Scioto looks at his daughter when he hears her voice,"Greetings Blisa, having A good day so far?"

Blisa nods and scrambles up to sit by Scioto.  "And you?  Has that wildcat hurt you?"  she asks, concern clearly evident on her face.

Scioto shakes his head,"No, but he has hurt others and so I am going to go find him and if needed fight him"

Blisa grabs her father's arm.  "No, please no.  You could die, and you can't.  You're the only family I have left."

Scioto frowns,"This wildcat needs stoped, he has hurt others,he was in a cell but got help and escaped"

"Then let me come with you!  I'm sure I could help, honest." Blisa begs, her green eyes pleading.  "I could use a slingshot and distract him, or I could cut his legs or something.  Oh, please let me come, Daddy.  I can't let you go.  Please."

Scioto gives a firm,"No...you may not go, I try to be carefull but you could very easyly get hurt by this beast."

Blisa's eyes harden as a determined look entes them.  "Daddy, please."

Scioto sighs,"Tell you what, I will not go out just yet, besides no clue where he is right now."

Blisa nods.  "And when you do go out, I'll come with you."  a waiter beast comes over and smiles at the cats.  "Would the Cheiftans daughter like some hot sweet tea?"  and the kitten turns her green gaze up to her father in a silent question for permission.

Scioto says, "She can have tea but she will be staying here when I head outside later"

The waiter nods and heads off as Blisa's stare becomes a glare.  "But Daddy...you're gonna need help."

Scioto offers a smile,"I will not need help, I will be fine, he would hurt you,there is also a bat that helped him, so may have to find that as well."

Blisa pouts, then frowns.  "Bats look funny."

Scioto chuckles, yes he acally chuckled, something he has not done in a while,"Yes they sort of do, and not many bats around either"

The waiter brings the tea, and Blisa takes a sip before asking, "Daddy, why did the bat help the mean cat?"

Scioto shakes his head, "No clue,maybe they are friends."

Later the same day...

Blisa is sitting in a booth, sipping tea and drawing.

Raymond walks into the tavern and stays by the doorway, he is on duty so no ale for him.

Blisa glances up as the door opens, and she waves to the wildcat.

Raymond nods to the kitten, "Ello Blisa,how are you today?"

"Good."  Stuffing her drawing supplies into her bag, Blisa slides off her seat, grabs her tea, and goes to stand beside the adult.  "Daddy's gonna go searching for the bad cat that wants to kill him, and he won't le me come along."

Raymond tilts his head,"Bad cat?....oh,Brutus, I wouldnt worry much,the bad cat will be dealed with soon enough"

Blisa frowns.  "But Daddy won't let me come.  I could help, I'm sure."

Raymond says, "you could also surely die, he be sad if that happen"

Blisa's face darkens.  "I don't think I would be killed.  I managed to avoid Vladmir Stormfeather's blade when he tried to kill me, and that was with a broken arm, too."

Raymond frowns, "Best you stay and let the grown ups handle Brutus, won't be long till he is taken care of and dealed with"

Blisa stamps her foot.  "I can help!  Why won't anybeast let me?"

Raymond asks, "You can help how?"

Blisa straightens up to her full height, which isn't very considerable.  "I can shoot rocks with a slingshot.  I can duck and weave and cut his ankles and pull his tail.  /I can distract him/ so Daddy can kill 'im."

Raymond asks, "And what if you die? Hate to see the chieftain depressed again, he may totally lose it next time"

Blisa stamps her foot again and yells, "Why does everybeast keep on mentioning that?!"

Raymond is not good with dibbuns, "I...well, could happen, we just want you to be safe."

"Who cares about safe?!"  the kitten shouts.  "The world isn't a safe place!"

Raymond says, "There is safe and peaceful times, not all the world is unsafe"

Blisa crosses her arms and mutters, "Says you."

Raymond sighs, "how about you go play and I..get back to duty." He goes to slip off.

Blisa follows  the guard, bored out of her mind.

Dirt Road

------------------------- Mossflower - Dirt Road -------------------------

All around, the scent of the forest fills the air.  Trees gathering

thickly on either side of the road offer a shaded escape from the dusty

road, and the sunlight's golden glow.

     Stray acorns are scattered across the path, presumably from the

forest.  The warm summer breezes rustle the leaves of the forest trees,

causing an uneasy whispering.  Countless beasts' pawprints cover the sandy

ground.  A rough path leads through the dense forest.  Near the edge of

the trees, a stump, covered with countless initials, offers a resting

place.

Exits: [E]ast, [S]outh, [N]orth

Brutus is close to the black gull tavern, he has an old blade seeing as lost couple of his. He slices the air and smirks.

Raymond makes his way to the road and sees Brutus, He draws his blade and steps over, "Brutus! You made a mistake making that jailbreak, now either give up or fight!"

Blisa slinks along in the ditch.  She has her cloak on, and has 'borrowed' a slingshot, a knife and a dirk.  She ducks behind a rock and watches the scene unfold.

Brutus ears perk and he turns and grins, "Have ya come to your senses dear brother? Come to jion me in a take over? You could be leader,your rightfull position and I your right paw beast, power you so want, just say yes and together we can go back to Ferravale...make a statement..." He waits for an answer.

Raymond walks slowly carefully and slowly, he tilts his head, "I am sorry to disapoint you, but I have changed, I am only loyal to my chieftain...sorry, jion you? ..No"

Brutus smirks,"If your not with me thenn you will die with your fool chieftain"

Raymond tighens his grip on his weapon, "Fine but you have to kill me first." He stays calm.

Blisa narrows her eyes, then silently mouths the word 'brother' as she hears that word.  Thsi si getting interesting.  The kitten quietly slips a pebble into her slingshot, but doesn't fire just yet.  She wants to see what happens next.

Brutus shrugs,"Fine Raymond, I shall not miss you." He smiles coldly and Lunges at the other wildcat and angles his blade for a sliceing blow.

Raymond sidesteps, the blade makes a cut on his tunic sleeve and he goes to stab with his own blade towards Brutus' already inured shoulder from a fight before this one.

Blisa has seen enough.  She pulls the slingshot back, aims, and fires her pebble at Brutus' rear.  Distracting? If it hits, you betcha.

Brutus growls as the blade sinks into his shoulder,he goes to kick Raymond in the gut and make another slice,the pebble does sting and he yelps,this causes his blade to slice a bit off target.

Raymond grunts as the kick connects, he makes a quick stab up as the other wildcats blade starts to slice his throat, it misses due to the mess up on Brutus part,it does cut into his shoulder, he tenses up in pain, well better than his neck..right?

Blisa shoots another pebble at Brutus' behind, then moves to a different spot and fires another rock, a nice, pointy, jagged one, this time.

Brutus smirks, he goes to stab Raymond again when the stone hits his leg,he looks around and growls, "Show ya self!!" He growls "Or Die!!!!"

Raymond holds his shoulder as blood pours down it, he takes the chance Brutus is distracted and narrows his eyes,he stands and rushes Brutus, blade out and held in both paws.

Blisa laughs aloud, an airy, reckless sound.  "Do you have any idea how many times I've heard that?" she calls, staying still and hidden.

Brutus growls as he tries to find the voice, "Be de last ting ya will---" He stops mid sentece and his eyes wide at the sword now growing out of is chest, he drops his blade and still has that shocked look as he falls over onto the road not moving...is he dead?...YEP!

Raymond watches and pants,he drops to his knees and still holds his bleeding shoulder,he looks at the snow and shivers a little.

Blisa crawls out of the ditch and walks over to Raymond, ignoring the dead wildcat.  "There, see, I told ya, I can help."

Raymond looks at Blisa and weakly smiles,"Thats....yeah...you did help and didn't get like right...right near him,he still got me good..need to get back to village."

Blisa nods and begins to drag Raymond's sword home for him.
