Magus had left but a short while, but was on his way back to camp when he came upon a hare with the stoat, things could get interesting now as he walks to it slowly from a distance.

Garth was at the campsite, a simple fire going and for now it was just him, he looks up and around every so often as if looking for someone, then back to what looks like fish he is cooking.

Piffle has been patched up and rested for at least one day but there's patrolling to do and, in her own words, they're just a few scratches! Her right hip, right shoulder, and right arm all have various levels of bandaging but she's mobile and has herbs for medicine, so, in her own mind, she's ready to get back out there! A campsite with a fire gives off a couple of signs as it is but throw in a fish being cooked and there's a distinctive odor of -food- to call a hare. Piff' trots across the sand in the direction of the camp.

Garth doesn't see the hare right away, but when he does he keeps a paw near his blade and keeps a close eye on the hare maid. He stays seated for now but could easily get up if it was needed.

"'Ey up there!" Piff' calls jovially to the stoat. A single stoat cooking fish? Surely this can't be a dangerous situation! That would be really rotten luck after her last patrol. "Cookin' breakfast are we? Jolly good show!" She saunters closer, a smile showing her buckteeth.

Garth stands and slowly draws his sword, "Why ya here long ears? And it's my meal, not yours."

Piffle waggles her ears at the stoat and raises her eyebrows. "Whoa there, ol' stoatychops! I ain't here to steal your bally meal! D'ya think the mountain doesn't bloomin' well feed yours truly? 'M here because I'm from the bally mountain; y'know? Patroller? Kind o', well, patrollin'! Why are -you- here, ol' chap?"

Garth narrows his eyes "That’s none of your business hare, that’s mine and my boss business so maybe you should walk ya self right back to that Mt. place of yours hmm?"

"Oh, ya got a -boss-, eh? Jolly good!" Piffle nods and grins like she's grateful for being given some free information. "Well now! That's just not bally well true is it, ol' chap? We Long Patrollers patrol the shore! So any ne'er-do-wells doing shady wotsits are our business!" The doe rubs carefully at the bandage on her neck. "So! Wot're you an' y'r boss doin' here, then?"

Garth stays silent, but his blade is out as he watches the hare carefully “Your alone aren’t ya, that’s not always a good thing bunny"

Magus walks along the shore, cloaked and glances at the beast before him before speaking, "Alone is such a terrible thing, it is" His voice is creepy as he speaks and he carries a white staff with him that has feathers and such on it, " Not wise at all."

"Well so are you, y' know, ol' Stoatychops! By the way, d'ya have a name? Can't just keep callin' ya 'Stoatychops' now, can I, eh?" Her ears twitch as Magus approaches now to. "Oh! Two o' ya stoaty-chaps!" She waves a bandaged paw dismissively at Magus. "Well now none of us are alone, eh, chaps? We got each othah f'r company!" She does seem to have been taken slightly by surprise by Magus' appearance though.

Garth smirks, "You don’t have to know the name of a beast and whats it matter, you may be dead soon anyways."

Magus studies the hare maid as he speaks "I am not a stoat miss, but that matters not and death will come will death comes. For some it's sooner and for others its later" He goes to stand beside Garth, “What are you doing? I do not sense much from this hare"

Piffle's smile falters into a line. "Oh? 'S that blinkin' right? Well, ol' chap, 's a bally threat if I ever did hear one!" Her paw- on the end of the bandaged arm- closes around the handle of her blade but leaves it where it is for now. Her eyes take a puzzled glance at the ferret. "Y're stoaty 'nuff, ol' Riddle-beast..."

Garth frowns "I was gonna kill the hare boss, look its injured. And maybe she is like that ummm...beast ya looking fer remember?"

Magus chuckles dryly as he speaks, "She is not the key...no, the key is another and another will may or may not find later, the key to fix the troubled one is near, but will they be on time or not on time is the question we all wonder"

Garth frowns, "Ummm..we can kill it anyways right?"

"I say! Injured or not, I'm fit as a bally fiddle! And y've just admitted t' havin' the intent t' murdah a Long Patrollah!" Piff' tells Garth, her eyes narrow. She glances at Magus. "Wot the blazes are you on about? Keys an' time an' wotnot? Give the 'ocus pocus a blink'n' rest would ya? Y're 'is boss, then? Wot are y' doin' here?"

Magus shrugs at the stoat and now focus on the hare "You are one of many questions, being curious can be a deadly thing, it can yes? And it would seem I am here speaking to you hare or maybe your here speaking to me or perhaps both?"

Garth has gotten use to the ferret, he shakes his head and he grips the blade in his paw but he stays quiet and still for now.

"Brock's Teeth!" Piffle mutters, rubbing the side of her face with her left paw- the right not leaving her weapon. "Is that some kinda bloomin' warnin' or threat? Curiosity killed the blinkin' cat or somesuch wafflin' excuse? Now look 'ere Oh-Mystic-bally-Mog," She's clearly a little frustrated with how the ferret talks "I'm bally talkin' t' you and ya to me and us to 'chother, eh wot? I'm askin' wot y'r bally well doin' here, on b'half o' the Long Patrol an' I'm still awaitin' a blinkin' straight answah!"

Magus speaks, but a dangers tone to it "You know not to whom you speak hare, it be wise to go home and leave us. It would fare best for your health as well."

"Aye! I bally don't know 'oo 'm speakin' too because y' won't bally tell me! Which leads one t' assume y'r jolly well up t' no blinkin' good! So, chaps! I ain't leavin' 'til I get -summat- t' report which makes th' next move yours, eh wot?" Piff' seems to be entirely ignoring Magus' tone and holds her ground, staying stood where she is and staring back at the ferret.

Magus tilts his head "Do you wish to see the forest of the dead then hare, many have gone but none return."

Piffle actually rolls her eyes. "Noooo! I don't want to see the bally 'forest of the dead' thankyeh very much! Nor do I want to see the great 'alls o' the departed, the Dark Forest, the pit o' no return, or any other bally aftah life, y' daft ol' scoundrel! I jus' want t' know wot y'r blinkin' doin' out 'ere! Ya coulda bally well lied an' I've 'ad been on m' jolly way by now! But nope! Y' an' ye stoaty-chap 'ave t' go an' get all bloomin' mysterious an' sinister and wotnot!"

Garth growls and suddenly goes to slice at the hare's side with his blade, "How bout getting ya ta shut up!!" He keeps the blade tilted as he moves towards the hare, and also stays alert for responses.

Magus narrows his eyes as he pulls out a blowpipe and places a dart in it, it's only a knockout one so it wouldn't kill the hare, he steps to the side and out of the way of the oncoming fight.

Piffle hops back as Garth is suddenly trying to slice at her and immediately brings her own blade up to block in case he tries it again, hissing through her teeth at the near miss to her side. "Aha! Now this is more bally like it, see! Jolly good!" She knows where she stands with combat unlike the talk from the ferret. Who she wags a finger at. "Don't think I don't bally see ya there with ya pipe-y wotsit!"

Magus nods "That is fine, who is to say it will be used or not used hare and who is to say what it...brings"

Garth growls as the blade is blocked, " I nearly killed a hare not too long ago it was fun."

"Oh go boil y' blinkin' 'ead!" Piffle retorts to Magus as he speaks, again, with the doublespeak she's grown frustrated with. Garth gets another raised eyebrow. "Wot 'appened? Did 'ey sniff ya 'r summat? Because I nearly blinkin' keeled ovah then an' all when th' wind caught ya scent!"

Garth narrows his eyes and gets out a throwing dagger and flicks it at the hare, "Ya gonna pay for that one long ears!"

Baatar comes walking along and slows when he sees a fight, he then goes to get his dirk and go help out if he can, his dirk is a little stuck at first but he frees it and rushes in to help his fellow hare.

Magus rolls his eyes, he takes note of Baatar and tisks "We can’t have the fight be one that’s too large now, can we?" He twirls the blowpipe and blows out at dart towards Baatar, it’s a knockout dart.

Oh joy! Throwing daggers! Piff's eyes widens and she ends up hopping sideways to let the blade sink in the sand; another near miss- less warning and it probably would have been worse for her. "Pay? F'r 'avin' to smell ya? Surely ya oughta be bally well payin' me, wot?!" She quips and then waves her free paw at Baatar. "Hallo there! Come t' join the fun? Watch ol' ferretychap, 'e's gotta thingy!"

Garth looks to be getting rather peeved off, while the hare is distracted he goes to take a slice at her arm with his blade quickly, he takes a quick note in his mind where the other hare is and hopes no more show up.

Baatar blinks "A..wot..." And sentence is cut short as the dart enters his leg, he stumbles and pulls it out and drops it in the sand. He still grips his dirk as he stands a little worried now, he then glares "You...vermins need stopped by order of..long patrol" His speech starts to slur as the knockout stuff starts to set in, but he also tries to stay awake.

"Again?!" Piff's somewhat incredulous as Garth manages to score a painful slice to her arm- the very same she's already injured, though this time the slice is higher up. "Oh f'r! I'm gonna have t' buy some bloomin' armor or summat!" Her eyebrows raise as Baatar is suddenly, apparently drunk? But she realizes it's got to be from the pipe. "Oi! Don't ya go leavin' the fight already ol' chap! Ya just got here!"

Magus smirks, he knows what the dart was, does anyone else? He watches the hare and stoat “We should go elsewhere, before more do come...or another comes. We need to plan of other things and it doesn’t include hares of right now."

Garth starts laughing now, "Oh the bunny is bleeding, this is funny..." He frowns at Magus "But bossssss....." He whines "The hare needs to die first!"

Baatar nods as he starts to run..then it turns to more of a stumble and he falls over onto the sand, he tries to get up and groans as he passes out, well this can't be good.

Piffle looks at Magus and Garth and then at Baatar. "Brock's Teeth!" She hisses and moves toward Batarr, keeping her rapier point directed at the stoat and ferret as she moves, still bleeding, toward her fellow Long Patroller. "We'll have t' settle this again, ol' chaps! Looks like m' friend's gotten a tad tired! Time f'r a nap, eh?"

Magus watches the hares, "Yes maybe or maybe not" He looks to Garth "Do..come now" His voice says or else as he walks on towards the village, may be good to get some food and drink there." We can kill later..we have not much time till plans need to come..into action, find the key and destroy the key before he helps the lost one..find herself again"

Baatar is out cold, he is breathing but it’s a little slow as the knockout dart will make him passed out for a little while, well lest the vermin are leaving and that’s good.

Garth starts to speak and thinks better of it quickly as he follows the ferret "Yes boss"

Piffle glares after the vermin then stoops to try and help Baatar up. "I bally well 'ope y're not out cold! I can't blinkin' well carry you, y' lump!"

Baatar is sadly unconcious from the knockout dart, so he won't be walking anywhere anytime too soon.

Magus meanwhile heads to the nearby village, the stoat following him and trust me, he will make sure it stays following him.
