After the eagled carried away Longfang the remaining beasts wanted nothing more than to get out of the area quickly, and they had the means to move quickly from an old wagon pulled by a fast moving beast that require little rest. A couple herons they caught and made pull the wagon.  A week’s travel turned into 3 days travel and they soon were at the camp site of the Frosted Arrow.

Zee grunted and groans every time a  bump was hit in the road. Being chained up was not fun, and putting up with these vermin the past 3 days even less fun.

The camp was getting ready to go even further north, and the leader Bora awaited news from the tribe beast that went south.

Bora paced outside his tent, he waited news of what Longfang had to say and he was running low on patience.

The beasts of the Frosted Arrow came into sight, but their numbers were lower and Longfang was not with them. A stoat came and bowed to Bora, “Master Bora we have news, both good and bad sir.” The stoat waited till he was told to speak.

Magus steps out of his tent and goes to stand beside Bora as he listens to what is to be said.

Zurrgg is still here and plans to remain here as his tail wags back and forth he stays where he is, arms folded, and only looks half interested in whats going on, that and it’s really close to lunch time.

The stoat speaks, “Long fang sir, he..he’s gone. He..the eagle, it grabbed him sir and ate him and we could do nothing to stop it. It may have gotten us next. Also 3 of the tribe were killed by the stripe dog we caught, he was trying to help the stoat known as Marek, whim…got away sir, but we figured since he was so weak he most likely didn’t make it far, maybe the eagle went back and ate him also.” The stoat then stands up and waits on Bora’s reaction.

Bora listens closely and nods, “I see..wait you caught a badger? Where is this badger I demand to see it now.”

Magus has no emotion when he speaks, “I had warned Longfang he would meet his end by a mighty beast, he did not take heed to my warning, it was in the stones and the rocks even, yet he failed to pay attention when he asked for my advice on his mission, why do beasts even ask me anything if they will not even listen to me.”

Zurrgg growls and draws forth his longsword and slices off the stoats head in one quick fluid motion, “You Let Marek escape!” He glares at Bora “Your men are worthless, they clearly had Marek in their grasp and because of a stupid bird they let him get away!”

Bora glares right back, “And he may be lost to you anyways if the eagle ate him, ever think of that?”

Zurrgg only chuckles, “You don’t know Marek too well do you? He probably killed the eagle and is using it to recover.” He sneers “No matter, I will get my chance. Now if your excuse me I need some rest, besides it seems you men have a captive that seems to have lived so maybe you should check on that.” He then turns and goes into the tent he has been sleeping in and no one dares follow him.

Zee is dragged and shoved so he lands in front of Bora. His paws are chained behind his back, chains also keep his arms at his side. He has cuts and bruises on him and a swollen left eye. Two beasts stand on either side of him, just in case he tries anything still.

A grin slowly forms on Bora’s face, “Well if it isn’t Zee Winters, been a long time. How is the nephew? Oh do tell me he is with you, I SO MUCH LIKE TO SEE Zork again.”

Magus looks at the badger with slight interest, but stays silent for now.

The Frosted Arrow beast that brought him speak, “It was just him sir, there was another that was on the road.” They rethink and nod” Two..but one was in a wheelchair and was protecting the badger maid, the badger maid was alone a 2nd time but we were stopped from capturing her sir. Mr. Winters here is the only one we managed to bring to you sir.”

Bora frowns and then kicks Zee hard in the chest and hisses low at the tribe beasts, “Then where is this other badger! And who is the female…” He looks to Magus, “Seer..who are they?”

Magus closes his eyes as he speaks, “The badger Zork Winters sits in a wheelchair, he is dying as his heart fails him slowly. As the leaves of Autumn do start to fall from the tree, he shall fall into the dark forest.” He is silent before he goes on, “The other badger is close to him, much pain I feel over her lost, she is..special to him somehow” He opens his eyes slowly.

Zee grunts as he is kicked and then growls as he tries to get forwards to the two beasts “Ya leave my niece alone! Touch her and your die, not sure how yet but ya will die!”

Bora steps back and nods for the Frost Arrow beast to drag the badger away “Lock him up.” He then smiles coldly” Niece? That means…Zork Winters has a daughter?” He chuckles coldly “OH I –WILL- have to meet her one day. And did I hear you correct Magus, Zork winters is dying if some illness?”

Magus nods “Yes, I am unsure details but yes the dark forest calls to him and none escape the call of the dark forest when it truly calls one.”

Zee struggles as he is pulled away snarling and cussing, he yells out “I repeat ya harm my niece ya dead!!!”

Bora ignores the badger as he looks at the others, “Attention all a meeting is in order!” Quickly the tribe gathers, around 50 beasts are there.

Zurrgg stays slightly in the back, he can still here but he doesn’t see himself as fully part of this tribe, he also has about 5-6 beast that stay beside him, beasts loyal to him.

Magus stays beside Bora and waits for him to speak.

Bora clears his throat and speaks, “We now have Zee Winters, and I have news his nephew is no longer a threat to us, as much as I would of liked to be the reason for his life ending, I am not. But that doesn’t mean one can’t torture a soul. But more on that later first order of business..we take over the lands of the North, take over the clan of the Flowing Stream and pay..dear old Blazeingfang a visit, after all he hasn’t seen me since I have grown and become leader of the new Frosted Arrow! We will take more captives and victory will be mine!” He smiles coldly,” And then I may pay a visit to a certain badger maid, there is more than one way to repay a beast after all…see by the time I pay Zork Winter’s daughter a visit, he may very well of passed to the dark forest, but  many seasons ago he sent my father to the dark forest,  I think I will send his daughter to the dark forest” He smiles, “ I may be doing her a favor since she will be missing her father so much,  I will just have to make sure she doesn’t have to be away from him for too very long.” At this he chuckles coldly and ends the meeting as he goes into his tent…to plan.

==An hour Later in a cell===

Zee grumbled, he had a muzzle on and had to be knocked out and was slowly waking up.

Flare slowly worked at the muzzle, “Hold still sir…almost got it.”

Rosewater stayed close, but being so with child she wasn’t much help.

Hyde goes to gently push the hares back and bites threw the top of the muzzle, “There…it’s off.” Monotone voice as ever.

Zee eyes snap open and he coughs, working his jaw as the muzzle comes off and he looks at Hyde and hugs him.

Hyde frowns “No..hugging, you’re hugging..whatever” In his flat monotone voice.

Flare smiles a little, “Guess he is glad to see ya “

Zee smiles “Son..Hyde ya ok, I was so worried when I heard you were captured.”

Hyde nods, his voice still and always monotone “Yeah..I am alive. But they burned down one of my huts and took that iron chest, it was Oz’s old hut, he’ll probably be mad but not like I planned it.”

Zee nods “It’s ok, what important is your alive, that’s what is important to me. Homes if needed can be replaced, a life can’t once it’s gone tis gone. As for the iron chest, that will be hard to open, they would need the key.”

Outside the cell a beast stands quietly, not yet showing  himself to be there.

Flare hmms “Whats so important bout a blooming chest?”

Rosewater frowns “Dear be nice..”

Hyde looks at the hares,” It has a sword in it, someone use to wield it before they got like, ill” Yep monotone voice.

Zee nods “Yes my nephew’s blade, he wanted it to stay safe. But I don’t have the key that’s safe with another till my niece can get it..” He frowns “I only hope she doesn’t try to look for me or the chest, it’s not safe now to go up north”

A laugh fills the hall and the white fox Bora shows himself, “The same blade that killed my father, the blade of Zork Winters?..Well, well, well…a prize I like to get too, maybe I could wield it, hmm?” He grins as he is 3 heads taller than most foxes and very strong from his life in the northlands. He smirks “Oh..Magus, I have a job for you..”

Magus sighs and comes out of the shadow, “I do hate travel sir, must I?”

Zee growls and tries to reach through the bars at the fox, “I was not joking when I said you or any of your beasts need to stay away from my family!”

Hyde frowns and backs up to the back of the cell, had he known anyone was listening he probably of stayed quiet .

Bora smiles, “Little too late for that, let me guess he was to leave it to his daughter upon his death, does she know how to use it, wield it even?” He smirks,” Be interesting to find out wouldn’t it, but for now..” He turns “Magus, seek out where that key may be, find a way to get it..kill if you have to and bring back proof of the deed.  If anyone comes after you we will just have to give them a welcoming gift, a welcoming gift of death.”

Magus sighs, he hates travel but he bows , “Yes sir, right away sir” He then turns to leave, this will be a  decently long trip he is NOT looking forward to.

Zee glares at the fox, “You better pray I don’t get out of here , cause when I do, you are a dead beast.” His words are cold as ice, a serious warning to the fox.

Born shrugs as if this bores him, “If you say so old man, but I am not afraid of a badger well past his prime, or any others in the cell for that matter.”

Flare steps forwards “I will help him kill you vermin”

Hyde nods, “As will I…” Not that his monotone voice makes him seem serious, but deep down he is very serious.

Rosewater stays by the wall and frowns, her dibbun will come soon so she can’t fight.

Zee smiles at the others and looks back to Bora with a glare.

Bora listens and a cold smile forms, “Well I am sure it will be a fun day indeed, but it appears I am winning, now if you excuse me I have to pay a visit to your Flowing Stream friends, a surprise visit” He then turns and exits the captive area slamming the door behind him.
