The older otter is in the hall today, getting ready for the trip this afternoon. He is wearing the cloak and tied his rudder, but has not put on the soot makeup. Worry about that later. He has placed his trusty old pack on the table, where he is sorting out a few things. A few of the mysterious books and letters, from the trip to the holt, were still in there. He has laid them all out on the table, in case his wife wanted to bring some. "Stupid... thing..." as he puts the folded cloth, and tarp into his pack. Like he normally does when he goes on trip. Also a set of rations, and normal beast food are in a pile ready to be put in next. If the otter can manage to put the tarp in.

Fira had disappeared for a bit, going outside to hide a little wave of nausea then of course wait until she's looking a bit more like herself again before she can come back in. When she does appear it seems she's straight on her way to the kitchen, a quick "Morning" given to Aik though she's not even sure if it's still morning. Still, she's in the kitchen and making tea before she can be hugged, kissed or anything. She needs tea, grrr

Aikuen grunts as the tarp goes in like its supposed too, "There... stupid tarp..." and then looks up quickly, "OH, Morni-... Okay..." he blinks a few times, as she rushes to the kitchen. He sighs and starts to pack up the food carefully, to not squash anything, whilst they're on the move. He has gotten used to this kind of behavior from her lately. Still afraid to ask what it is. And he still has no clue. He hmms lightly as he examines his pack.

Fira is a bit better once she has her tea, sipping it quietly for a minute before she appears back in the doorway, looking a little more relaxed. She finally glances all the stuff over before looking back to Aik again "Just about packed and ready to go?"

Aikuen looks up again and smiles, as his wife isn't running around and can read him, "Hey Fi. Oh aye. Just a few things here and there... Hey, i spread out some of the books and letters from the trip. Do you want to bring some to read and or to decipher?... wait..." he stops whatever he was doing and bounces over to her. Boy, he is going to get his hug and kiss, "You get more beautiful... everyday..." he chuckles before kissing her softly. He grins and bounces back to his pack. Yes, that was completely necessary.

Fira may have her tea but given the less than brilliant morning she's not feeling anywhere near as bouncy as him. She makes a little effort to seem normal and gives him a hug back and a peck on the cheek, little bit of a smile as she reminds herself it's not his fault. The books get a glance shortly afterwards as she's sitting down soon as he's bounced off again "Mm. Not the letters. Maybe one of the books. They're old. I don't want to break them" she leans over and after a moments consideration selects one of the books to take.

Aikuen nods, and starts to collect the letters in a pile. He then takes the pile to be placed in the study for later use. The otter bounces back by the time she has made her selection, "Ah! Good choice, good choice..." though he has no idea what is it. He then takes the rest of the books, and takes them also in the study. The table is pretty empty now, except for the pack and the book. Aik smiles warmly at Fira, "Are you all set and ready to shove off?" he laughs a little bit at that, and puts the books she choose in his pack. He frowns and counts things off of his claw. Shrugging he goes to plop down next to her, "Think I'm missing something... Not sure..." he shrugs.

Fira lets him bounce about as much as he likes and move things around. Seems happy to just sit and relax for a minute, sip at her tea "Pretty much. I've got to sort out the whole disguise thing obviously and grab my bag. Is the spear too recognizable?...Hm. Well. Got food I saw. Remembered the healer's kit?"

Aikuen nods and slowly takes her paw, "Well you don't have to disguise as much as me. I brought a box of the soot paste if you want some of that. Though your fur is not as recognizable as mine. Ill get your bag... And, No. the spear isn't recognizable. At least i don't think so. Looks like a normal generic spear." he then blinks at the last part. He chuckles, "That's why i have you..." a small kiss to the cheek, "Ill get your bag... and the Kit... be back soon." and he gets up and bounces toward the sleeping hall.

And when an otter leaves, a stoat  arrives. Its Kentar, and he's got a pack over his shoulder, and over his other, a belt of about 15 or so throwing knives. The stoat sets the pack down on the table as he places the belt around his waist tightly. "Hey Fira." he smiles, making sure his long sword is tightly secured on his back. "Already to go?"

The faint beginning strains of a rousting tune can be heard coming from down in the cellar and laughter soon follows after a short time. If the song has words they are inaudible so far to any not in the cellar.

Fira sticks her tongue out at the thought "Soot paste is all yours" little smile as he forgot the healer's kit "Can't go on a trip without that. I'll just be here waiting" she's still watching Aik go when Kentar appears so she doesn't see the stoat until she feels the bag land through her paw on the table and looks round "Hey Kentar. Yeah, soon enough. Disguise and all to do but I'll make do with that hat again. Aik's just fetching the last of the stuff."

Kentar smiles and nods. "Great!" he says, starting to take out each knife and place it back in the belt, making sure they're all there and clean. "I figured that the knives would be a good choice this trip." he nods. "Since I'm great at them. And since there's those redcloak things going around" he nods then chuckles at the tune and then the laughter. "Silly rats." he chuckles.

Fira raises a brow with a hint of a tired smirk "Great with them yet never use them these days? Just trying to make all the other knife throwers feel better?" the mention of rats gets a head tilt and she tries to see what's going on but no rats that she can see "What're they up to?"

The laughter from the cellar increases a little and the music dies down a bit but otherwise there is not real change in the background noise.

Fira ahhs and nods slowly, finally finishing up her tea "Understandable then" she gives the room another glance over but just settles down after that. No sense looking for absent rats "Amy playing again? I'm told she's good?"

Kentar nods then chuckles. "Yeah. She's really good actually." he smiles. "It;s too bad you can;t hear her. Sometimes she'd make you cry if she played the right music." he smiles. "Or badly enough." the stoat laughs, sitting down and looking around. "Garnet, Chris, Kluna and Robin should be about in a few." he says.

Aikuen returns bearing a healers kit and belt, and also Fira's bag. He hums to himself as he bounces back into the room, and nods at Kentar, "I'm back! Hi-ho Kent-o!" he laughs and goes to put the healers things, in his pack. He then bounces back over to Fira and hands over her bag, "Here you go my darling. Your bag. As promised!" Silly today ain't he! He grins a plops down next to her, "I think that's it... Anything you can think of Kentar?"

Fira shrugs a shoulder to Kentar and smiles a little "I'll just have to take your word for it instead. Guess we're just about ready to go then" and Aik arrives on cue. She takes her bag to do a quick check through it "Thanks Aik" she thinks he's silly most days. After a moment she does lean over to aim a kiss at her cheek "Good, think you've got everything."

The next to enter the room is Robin, Chris, and Garnet. Kluner is there too, yeah. Both Chris and Kluner are napping. Robin's got Kluner, and Garnet's got Chris. "There! We're all ready. Right!?" He asks the family of stoats + 1. Garnet yawns but nods, smiling, leaning in to give Kentar a kiss who returns it. "Hey rats! Amy! Will! Get out here!" he calls. He's not leaving without saying goodbye.

Aikuen smiles, "You are most welcome!" and he grins at the kiss. He chuckles as he sets the pack on his back. He waves a little to the incoming stoats plus Kluner, before going to stand beside Fira, ready to head'em on out. Yes the rats do need to say goodbye, it'll be a long time before we see them again.

The music had stopped a short time ago and the the laughing had again increased for a short time before fading out completely after Kentar's called the rats. They come up together, thankfully the original owners of Moledeep had been nice enough to slope the floor of the tunnel that leads down to the the cellar rather than make stairs instead. Will smiles at the others despite the fact they're leaving. "We're here. What'd you want?" he asks Kentar even though he can tell what's going on easily

Fira leaves her empty cup on the table with the vague hope it'll not still be there when they get back as seems they're going! She gets up at last, shouldering her bag "I think we're off. Last chance to come. Behave yourselves."

Amethyst has moved from the cellar's doorway to the wall next to the door. "Did you want anymore candied 'treats'? Anyone? I heard Kentar liked them ... for a while." Her ears tilt toward Fira's voice and she smiles, "Of course we'll be good. Am I not always on my best behavior?"

"Yep! We're leaving. And since I doubt you'll still come, I wanted to say goodbye!" he smiles, the stoat kneeling down to try and give Will, then Amy, a GREAT big stoat hug. Then he goes a little green when Amy mentions those crickets. Kentar sticks his tongue out at Amy then laughs.

Aikuen tilts his head at Will for a second when he says that, but chuckles soon afterward. He then laughs uproariously when Amy mentions the treats. He sighs and waits for Kentar to finish before going over to do the same thing, but with one arm instead. He whispers to Will, assuming Amy can also hear, "Be good you two. Don't be stupid. And if you get hurt or in trouble... go to the abbey... as quick as you can... you don't know me or Fira... for your safety... I love you..." he sighs and stands up to ruffle each rats headfur in turn before going back to stand by his wife.

Fira smirks and shakes her head softly "We'll see you when we get back, whenever that is," there's a moments pause but she does move to give Will a quick hug, Amy gets a pat on the shoulder, she still doesn't know her that well. "Look after the place, don't burn it down, remember to eat...Well I'm sure you'll manage." She glances back to Aik and the rest of them, "Time to go I suppose."

Will hugs Aik back tightly, "Don't worry, Pa, we'll be fine. "Take care of Mum an try not t get hurt any more. When you do though be sure t do what Mum says even if you don't want to. We want you t get better not worse." he says all this quietly and the next part is little more than a whisper, "... you kinda fell asleep when I told you before but if possible I'd like a little sister rather than another brother but it's ok if do get another little brother," back at the louder but still quiet level he adds, "And don't do anything stupid cause you're better at that then me ... so don't." Once he's released and it's Fira's turn he hugs the ottermaid and nods his head correctly with each request, finishing with, "It'll be fine Mum. Just have a good time on th trip," he smiles at her wanting to add 'and get better' but he suspects there may be a reason for her odd behavior of late and so keeps quiet about it as he'd been previously trained.

Kentar smiles then hrms. He takes the long sword from his back and hands it to Will. "Here. If anybeast gets by my traps...kill them." he grins. "The sword will do well when used. Trust me." he then turns, hefts his pack over his back then smiles. "And we're off! To boldly go where so many have gone before!" The stoat laughs, leading his family, and friends, out of Moledeep

Will thought the good-byes were about done when Kentar hands him a sword. He nods a little at the stoat's words, "I'll do what I can." It occurs to him briefly that living peacefully isn't too easy when one isn't a native woodlander, he shrugs off the feeling and waves as everyone heads out, everyone except him and Amy that is.
