View source for A meeting in the woods...or...an evil deal.


A chance meeting between a fox and a cat in the woods up north results in a less than honorable employment. Players are Aster and Nightfur. I was not part of this story, I was only logging it for them.

Aster: She is a tall feline or cat as some say. Her fur is black and white with some spots of gray on her tail and chin. She has bright greenish eyes that glow in the dark. On her paws are long claws of a grey color and she has clean fangs in her mouth. She wears a brown cloak,over a black tunic and pants of bark leather. On her back is a longbow and quiver of arrows.

Nightfur: Blackfur is a tall fox with a bushy black tail.His fur is a deep coal black and his eyes a deep brown coloring. Muscles are all over his arms and back and seen under his red tunic. His pants are made of bark leather and brown in color, like his tall worn boots he has the pants tucked into. At his back are twin short swords with black handles, and throwing daggers at his sides and one in each boot on a side pocket

Species: Fox

Aster is traveling north and mutters as it's snowy here, she snorts as she looks for a place to sit up a campsite near a stream.

Nightfur is off to the side, he has gone out walking and stays just outside of Mossflower, but does risk going a little ways in.

Aster has yet to see the fox as she starts to make a fire with some wet flint stones she has and cusses loudly as a spark is just not forming on the dried grass, she sighs and looks around as it lightly snows, "I should just go back south" She mutters.

Nightfur speaks suddenly as he walks into view, "say What is south but a group of fools""

Aster gets an arrow and notches it to her longbow and looks, seeing the fox clearly she takes aim,"Maybe your a fool as well fox, I do as I wish and no one is my boss or decsion maker"

Nightfur smirks, "Really now?..I am Nightfur and I have an offer for you miss cat, one I think you will like, see I dislike the south and it seems you do as well. Mostly I have an..issue with Redwall Abbey , I want revenge on them and I hate woodlanders with a passion, how about it?"

Aster raises an eyebrow as she listens, arrow still aimed at the fox, "Go on..and who does like woodlanderrs, I say they all die and be done with it. And I have never been to the abbey."

Nightfur nods "A job see they banished me out of Mossflower, the job is I need slaves, any slave..I have one, a very annoying otter who needs a bit of pain and sorrow and" He smiles coldly "And company..other slaves and thats where you come in, woodlanders are in the woods, the road, not just the abbey. An abbey beast would be a nice bonus but not needed and you will be payed for each slave you bring me"

Aster lowers the longbow, "How much gold we talking of? And wouldnt some beast just stop me? Not like a woodlander will just go with me and why do I care if you have an otter or not"

Nightfur chuckles coldly,"He thinks his daughter dead, she is at the abbey...she was stolen from me and I want her back, but I take other slaves as well." He thinks "10 gold each, get a redwall beast its 20 gold and I will know if its a redwall beast or not. The otter's daughter is a dibbun, maybe 3 seasons now, get her you earn 25 gold..maybe more. I will offer protection with a couple of my friends. I have collars and chains, ropes."

Aster grins "Gold does sound nice, I may be intrested and how may I ask would I go into the abbey and get this..dibbun huh, sort of made them dislike me as killed a sparrow and another died cause of me"

Nightfur sits down on a stump as he lights a fire, yes he has dry flint, "Easy, fool them into thinking your just misundeerstood...gain trusts and pretend to be friends then you can grab the dibbun, maybe who ever else and leave..lie even if needed, use thier help the needed agaist them"

Aster blinks as he gets the fire started and rolls her eyes, "What ever, not so sure on that idea, see what I can do but sure...I can find woodlanders along the path, probally some out still getting firewood or food for winter or on the way to the stupid abbey." She adds "I an Aster and at your service"

Nightfur smiles coldly "Good....I hope to see you soon Aster " He stands and walks back into the northern woods, "I will be keeping an eye out for you oh and Aster...no betraying me as that can be end up being deadly...for you my dear" A chuckle as cold as the air is heard and then quiet.

Aster frowns slightly and wonders if this job was a good idea to take or not.
