In a blur of motion, he swipes his right footpaw horizontally, sweeping Desotoe's footpaws out from under him, then with his free paw shoves the ferret against a tombstone, pinning his tail beneath one metal-soled boot.  In a flash the katana's point is just beneath the ferret's chin.  "You have thirty seconds in which to be extremely amusing.  Make it short...or to the point," he murmurs, nodding at the sword.

St.Ninians Ruins: Churchyard (#810)

The churchyard stands quiet as few beasts seem to roam within

it. Though vermin seeem to have long left the old church, the

area seems to have a coldness about it. In the distance looms

the burned out hulk of the old church, still standing despite

its old age. Darkness just seems to encompass the area in a fog.

Rubble is scattered around and the ground lies charred and

barren, even after many year. The area is void of much life and

has a foreboding feel to it. Equally obvious is the ancient

graveyard, fenced in by an old and rusty fence breached only by

an equally ancient and rusty gate.

[I]nto the [F]orest, [M]ossflower [W]oods

Desotoe has been looking for a good place to lay low, even if it is just a couple days, he looks at the graveyard and smirks, he looks around a couple times and seems content to not see any beast around.

A flicker of movement between the tombstones...Then with a flash, Vladmir is directly behind Desotoe, reaching around the intruder and pressing the edge of a katana-like blade against the ferret's throat.  "Move and you die.  Lie to me and you die.  Resist and you die.  Who are you?"

Desotoe blinks as he sees movement and draws his cutlass, his eyes go wide and the cutlass is droped to the ground as he has the blade at his thoat, he resits the urge to kick backwards at the beast but decides to take the wiser path and answer the question, "I am Desotoe Stonefur."

Not acknowledging the ferret's words, Vladmir hisses between his teeth, "Why are you here?"

Desotoe growls low, but he is also not stupid when a blade is at his thoat, "Not ya bussiness really who ever ya are,..staying low, hiding...I have my reasons."

"And I have my reasons for slaying you."  Vladmir presses the blade tighter against the ferret's throat.  "And I shall act on them unless you tell me yours."

Desotoe starts to show a little fear now, "I...I..look just,"He gulps a little, "Seeking..r..revenge, why do you want to to know, friend of yours?"

Desotoe gasps as he falls backwards, he tries to run and finds his tail is painfully pinned and screams. he now starts to shiver as he gets a good look at who just has him, "I..I..achally two...b..b..b...beasts, yeah, hee..one is at Redwall champ, little crazy in..in head -Gulp- if ask me..the other is a cat he is a chieftain of Ferravale..but not like going there he..he banished me!!" He thinks quick.."Need names. I know names...p.p..please dont kill me!!

With supreme disdain, Vladmir looks down his snout at the ferret.  "Blithering fool.  I know all; I know of the cat and the Champion.  Is that all?  Speak up, wormspawned coward!"  He grinds his heel upon the ferret's tail.

Desotoe shivers, "Yes..I mean...the fox champ...yes he is a fox!!!..He- gulp- says this..g...ghosy mouse made his fur white that it was red and, crazy huh?" He is now sweating, "His name is Flicktail...and the cat at F..F..Ferravale is Scioto and has this like..temper or..d..d...did the one day.."

"Ghost mice?  Changing fur?  Stop stuttering, you..."  As he reaches for another insult, Vladmir stops dead.  "What did you say the fox's name was? Speak!"  He applies yet more pressure to both the swordpoint against Desotoe's throat, and the boot crushing the ferret's tail.

Desotoe tenses up in pain.."F..F..Tail..Flick...Flicktail!!! it was Flicktail, his name is Flicktail!"

For a moment, Vladmir's jaw drops.  Swiftly he shakes his head and regains his aloof atmosphere, speaking in a low and menacing voice.  "You will describe this...Flicktail to me.  Every last detail...I want to be able to see him when I close my eyes by the time you're done.  Or I will see you with my blade through your throat...when my eyes are open."  Finally he brings his boot down, in full, crushing force, like a pile of bricks dropped from above.

Desotoe shivers, the pain in his tail grows and the fear on his face grows, he shivers uncontroled as he speaks,  " A..A tall fox, like blue-white fur..r...really thick, Black fur on his paws,feet...to his -gulps-  elbows and knees, black tiped ears and his tail is all bushy always moving, white and black tiped. He..He  has golden eyes and wears a red tunic and some blue...has a silver belt, acorn..silver one as buckle and a claok with an a..silver acorn claps too...probally has a sword..b..but he didnt have it when se..seen him," And he did get a close look at him.

Most of this means nothing to Vladmir, but the tail...He glares at Desotoe, tightening his grip on the sword hilt as if preparing to gut the ferret with it, and he grinds his foot even harder.  Then, suddenly, both foot and sword are lifted.  "Get up," Vladmir growls.

Desotoe tenses up and gets ready for what seems like a death blow, he whimpers and quickly stands shaking badly now and listens, he seems afraid to make direct eye contact with Vladmir right now but he stays put all the same.

Avoiding eye contact won't be an option.  Vladmir seizes Desotoe by the collar of his tunic, and hoists him about two feet off the ground.  "You will follow my orders and do my bidding. Should you attempt to escape or betray me, I will find you and make your dying slow and painful."  With his free paw, he cruelly sinks a claw into a pressure point near the ferret's collar bone, inflicting excruciating pain.

Avoiding eye contact won't be an option.  Vladmir seizes Desotoe by the collar of his tunic, and hoists him about two feet off the ground.  "You will follow my orders and do my bidding. Should you attempt to escape or betray me, I will find you and make your dying slow and painful."  With his free paw, he cruelly sinks a claw into a pressure point near the ferret's collar bone, inflicting excruciating pain.  "Say 'aarrgh' if you understand."

Desotoe goes to try and move backwards when he sees the paw and fails badly, as he is lifted above the ground he dares not kick out, he has tears in his eyes as he yells out "AAAAAAAAARRRRRGHH...!"He tenses up and closes his eyes, he reopens them and looks Vladmir in the eyes and whimpers.

Vladmir's bright blue eyes glitter in amusement at the ferret's agony.  Withdrawing the claw, he hurls Desotoe to the ground.  "You will find this...Flicktail and watch him.  You will report of his every move to me.  I don't care how you accomplish it.  Just do it."

Desotoe oofs as he hits the ground, he looks back up at Vladmir, "B..But...what if he..tries to kill me?" He asks in a shakie voice but its very clear he dears Vladmir now very much. He stays where he is too afraid to move.

"Well..." Vladmir sheaths the sword, draws a hooked dagegr, and tosses it meaningfully from paw to paw.  "Look at it this way:  You can either take a chance that a beast allied with peaceloving woodlander fools will /try/ to harm you, or  you can /definitely/ be slain by me."

Desotoe gulps and nods "I..I will try to, to get info..w..what kind? "

"What color his favorite pair of socks are," Vladmir says sarcastically, his mocking voice ringing through the graveyard.  Then he drops back to his steely, menacing murmur.  "What do you think, fool?  /Everything./  Where he came from, how he got here, what weaknesses can be used against him..."

Desotoe nods quickly and frowns, "B..But how..is..is not like can pretend to be his..f...f..friend" His tail still hurts and he keeps eye contect with Vladmir, "I..I wi..will do my best sir..errr...boss, yeah boss."

Stomping briefly on Desotoe's tail one more time, Vladmir hisses, "Call me /Master./ Or Stormfeather."  He whirls around, and, cloak fluttering behind him, disappears between rows of gravestones.

Desotoe whimpers, he then sits down shivering and watches his leave, he stays put for a long while and then runs as fast as he can away from the area, yeah he has to come back but right now he wants to get away!
