Hello all,
So we are currently planning a new TP to get started.
The main aim is to generate some interaction between the Defenders, Ferravale, Camp Willow and the GUOSIM to get some back and forth interaction between people.
It will also generate the chance for various members of the order as well as the other groups to come to the Abbey's aid. Not in an end of the world, vermin horde way but in a good community spirit way.
We are looking to start this Thursday 26th September at about 20:00 CST.
As many people as possible are welcome to join us in the Abbey.
Sure I do not mind who knows whom I am.
I am Quinten, General of the Long Patrol Homeguard and Librarian
Brother Elmef who runs the Abbey orchards and fields for growing food
Orel - Barrat in Halyard, Pi-Rat Oracle and Seer in hiding because he dislikes being used
And of course I play Abbot Benar & Matilda quite a lot and occasionally the Badger Lord.
Hello all
So I was thinking of the 15th August for the Summer Feast!
How does this sound to everyone?
I was sort of toying with the idea of having it be a week long event starting on Monday 12th with a visiting fayre and guests and games and such. How does this sound to everyone?
Hello all,
We are in May so I will be away for 2 and a half weeks Friday 17th May
I will be back on Thursday June 6th and was thinking I'd start Benar's summer trip around Mossflower then when I return as Thursday is usually a good day when we have a lot of people on.
See you this week until Thursday and then when I am back on the 6th June!
Hello all!
Abbot Benar is planning a trip out around Mossflower to visit the local communities
He'll be taking the champion and several members of the order with him to visit, take gifts and bring good cheer
His current plan is to:
Visit Camp Willow
Visit Ferravale
Visit Brockhall
Visit a few local communities out in Mossflower woods
I'm planning this trip to happen sometime after the feast so probably early May
It should be a good fun tp and a chance to interact with the Abbot outside of the Abbey and drum up some activity in other places.
Trade tends to mean peace and Benar is all in favour of peace and prosperity in Mossflower rather then more strife
That all sounds good to me then
Benar is all about diplomacy and discussions himself and could probably be talked into acting as a neutral host location so negotiations between Ravos and Ferravale happen in a neutral location.
But Dora is away until the 10th April so we'd have to wait for her as I can't speak for FV
I'll leave this here
I've scheduled the Spring Feast for April 11th
So you'll hopefully be back and can join us for the repaired Belltower's first sounding!
Thought that'd be a nice welcome back for you!
Would these pirates be interested in getting their Seer back?
My pirate Orel is/was the Pi-Rat Seer
But after his captain was defeated (in a TP long, long ago) he escaped and went to live in Halyard.
As being the pirate seer sucked, everyone was always squabbling over who "owned" him to have them on their crew
Could be a nice tie in back to some of that old lore.
Orel wouldn't necessarily go willingly but the Pirate crew who reclaimed the Bona Fide seer of the sea would have an advantage and prestige
I think I'd want more details on what the end goals are
This all has a Game of Thrones vibe to it so far and that sort of body count, political intrigue, violence and assassinations doesn't really feel like it fits Redwall and it's ethos.
Royalty and nobility also doesn't fit around Mossflower
Beyond the Badger Lord, if someone declared they where now King because they said so and had just murdered someone everyone would laugh in their face, have them arrested/killed/or run out of town.
So whilst an interesting idea I'd want to hear a whole lot more detail before I went along with it.
I think the Abbey has had enough hordes outside it's gates, forced take overs, conquerings and such and I'm not about to agree to some assassination filled plot that'd kill off the Abbot or have him kidnapped and replaced.
Hello all!
So i have been perusing the diary and was thinking we need to have a Spring Feast
I was thinking Thursday April 11th starting at 7pm GMT
And that would be the day the scaffolding was down and the bells where back up and would mark the first time they have been rung since they where taken down for repairs to the belltower in January. What do people think?
Belltower is set for the 31st!
My Internet failed for the evening, I only just got it back
Hello all!
Just a reminder that the Winter Feast is on the 24th January!
And the Belltower TP where we will be lowering the Matthias bell to effect repairs is the week after on the 31st!
See you all then!
Hello all!
So as previously discussed I am thinking as it is winter and we are all bundled up inside to keep warm
Abbot Benar is going to host a weekly gathering (Probably on a Thursday, Maybe Monday and Thursday) in Cavern Hole
And every week someone will invited to showcase a talent
Cooking, Storytelling, Music, Some practical craft and tell a short story about it, why it is important to them etc.
These story evenings will continue until the Winter Feast when the Abbot will pick a winner
I am thinking of starting this next week!
I am away on Thursday next week so I am thinking Monday/Tuesday will be a chance for people to sign up and talk to the Abbot about signing up to put their talent/story into the contest.
Then starting Monday 17th we'll start with our first story telling!
Hello all,
So I have been perusing my diary for a good date for a Winter Feast
I figured it should happen after American Thanksgiving
So how does January 24th Sound?
I'd like to do it in the middle of Winter rather at the beginning and it gives more time for my TP plan to pan out
Also in addition I am toying with the idea of running an Abbey TP!
One that doesn't involve vermin invading and ruining the woodwork on the main gates
I am thinking as it is winter and we are all bundled up inside to keep warm

It's still in development but I thought it'd be nice to have a TP that didn't involve deadly vermin for once and give everyone a chance to be creative and stand out.
Normally I manage it as Benar someone is a Novice for at least a season OOC
They are expected to help out in every department across the abbey and then Benar makes them a Brother/Sister
I can always dust off Orel
He's the Bar-rat,
Pi-Rat Seer in hiding because sod being used to spout prophecy to benefit his horrible kindred
Sounds good to me
No one has mentioned Marek to me
As he's not my character I wasn't going to run his funeral unless asked
This is a memorial for everyone lost in general not individual people
So hello everyone,
I was thinking Thursday 25th might be a good day for Benar to host a formal memorial for all those who have lost their lives
Say starting at 8pm GMT
I am sorry I missed the final fight!
I will go read the log
We had a damned power cut all last night! it was the worst timing
I am not sure we need a Shared something for every position in the Abbey
We have the Champion and the Abbot
We can just spoof NPCs as and when they are needed they do not necessary have to be another character and head healer or just healer is something we have often awarded to PCs for good Roleplay and being inclusive in the community.
I am 100% in favour of Redwall not being invaded for at least a season ![]()
I have a whole bunch of non-invasion/attack/vermin/slaver TPs i want to try out at Redwall and never quite get the time to run because there is usually another bad guy on the horizon.
So spreading out the fun across the map would be good. It'd be nice to see a TP happening at Redwall, at Salamandastron and other places at the same time.
