Old Major Pete should be the fighter hare version of Angela.  That'd be hilarious xD

#728 Re: The Long Patrol » Misc. IC LP stuff » 2020-01-23 03:43:14 PM

A few years ago one of the older players who was causing problems (and shall remain nameless) told those of us who have Ciocan's password that he shouldn't be close friends with any of the hares because he was the leader of Salamandastron and so he needed to be more distant with every single one of the hares except for maybe the Generals.  I thought this was ridiculous, and now (like 4 years later)  I've decided to do something about it by asking the entirety of the players on here what their thoughts are.  Since it seems to be the majority vote that Ciocan have close friends in Felicity and maybe a few other hare chars, I say we run with it.  So Oz, Benar, and I need to work on some RPs showing Lissie and Ciocan's friendship, as well as Ciocan becoming friends with some other hare chars (even if they are just spoofs).

I think you should play Old Pete more, Oz, instead of killing him off.  Get us to know and love him more. smile

Please post any and all Wiki questions here: http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewforum.php?id=7  (Although I will say that you actually have to make up an entirely new account over there; you can't use your already existing forums account.)  Thanks for the info, aeysin! smile

I may be able to add sections of Dead/Alive/Unknown onto the "Hares of the Mountain" page on the wiki.  As soon as I have time, I'll try to remember to try it.  Thanks for the suggestion, Leon!

Also!

In this log: https://www.rwmuck.org/archive/content/ … story.html The Benar/Elmef player was running Ciocan, and as you can see, we had them decide to be friends.  (I just noticed that they also agreed to spar, so there's a little fact I had totally forgotten about O.o)  Now, in the books, the Badger Lords always had hare friends.  I'm currently rereading Lord Brocktree, and Lord Stonepaw and Fleetscut were really good friends.  It doesn't make sense that they were friends only starting when Fleetscut moved up to a high rank.  They had to have started when he was, like, a Private or something.  There's also the fact that people need friends, and I have read that most people with lots of power (like a Badger Lord has) feel very much alone and lonely.  I speak from experience that having no friends is as close to literal death that you can get to without physically dying.  (It drove me to suicide years ago....don't worry, I have friends now and I'm planning on sticking around until I die when I'm like 92 years old. smile )  So Ciocan needs a friend.

Since Ciocan is a shared character, I thought I'd ask the people of the MUCK: what do you think of us running Ciocan as having Felicity be his friend?

Majority vote rules!

Random: Um, the Brocktree and Boar Paw medals seem to me to be for the exact same thing.  D:
Maybe we could modify the Lance Corporal/Private First Class thing to make it more clear for the uninitiated that it's between Private and Corporal....?
I'll look at the rest of your thingy when I have more time smile

Y'all: Okay, so lists I need to check and edit are:
https://www.rwmuck.org/wiki/Patrol_Divisions
https://www.rwmuck.org/wiki/Rank_Structure
https://www.rwmuck.org/wiki/Roles_and_Jobs
(I am partly putting these links here for my benefit.)  Whichever list you see the char on who's not around anymore, or that is missing a character, please specify which list it is.  I'm finding this a little confusing ;.;
If a character is no longer on the MUCK and they are not on those lists, I'm not gonna worry about it, so you don't need to tell me smile .  If an LP char is on the MUCK but not on those lists, then I'll add them once I'm informed here on this topic smile
With this list: https://www.rwmuck.org/wiki/Long_Patrol_Members_Listing I think we should edit the ones who died, but still leave them up there for posterity's sake, so people who join the MUCK in later years have a reference for chars they hear our chars talking about or that they read about in older logs.

Who needs to be added?  Who needs to be removed?  From which list?  Y'all's comments have been very, very helpful, I'm just wanting to make sure I got it right tongue

Good news!  I can get on the wiki at my college, so yay big_smile

(Sorry if I sound stressed; I am stressed, a little, IRL.  Sorry sad )

Okay, y'all.  This post is just for random Long Patrol stuff for us to discuss as a group.   This isn't for RP discussion, but for just whatever random things we need to vote on or whatever.

~*~

My first order of business is this:
I am planning on editing the LP stuff on the wiki ( https://www.rwmuck.org/wiki/The_Long_Patrol ) while Jinora is absent, mostly just focusing on the lists of characters.  Literally all I've done so far is move Felicity up to Sergeant.  When someone gets promoted, or if a Recruit becomes a Private, I can edit that, too.  I don't know if I can get on the wiki at my college, but I hope to remember to check later this week.

Who has been promoted?  What rank is everybody?

I'm not on often enough to know this:  Do Cera, Alpine, Sersi, and Riley RP?  Like, have they RPed in the past month or 2?  If not, then I can move them to the Ghost Patrol.  If they have, well, then, I've just not seen it 'cause their RPs aren't logged and I'm not online often enough to see them on the radio smile

~*~

We may be discussing other LP stuff in the near future, so hopefully this post isn't too dorky of me tongue  Sorry if it's confusing.  My brain's kind of not working right because of my stressful morning.

CHARACTERS:  Isa, female kitten.  DoraRose and LilyMoore, female mice.  Various spoofs, both good and evil.

LOG:
A typical winters day in the abbey and all was quiet. The dark clouds and a cold wind promised more snow in the future but the weather held off for now. A few travellers had arrived in the morning but that was hours ago and currently beasts were busy gearing up for lunch. Yes, everything was peaceful until suddenly it wasn't "Dora! Dora!" a very panicked squirrel yells, going to bang on the gatehouse door. Novice Nutacre, aka Nutty, aka Hunter of Kittens because he had turned out to be the best at finding Isa and bringing her back when she disappeared. He quickly hops back towards the gates after knocking, double checking the pawprints in the snow and worrying "Dora! Open the gate! The kitten's gone"

DoraRose usually gets a little grumpy when beasts she doesn't know very well call her by any nickname. Nutacre is one of those beasts. However, at the urgency in his voice, the Warrior decides it's not really a big deal, and instead looks down from where she is on duty up on the walltop above the gates. "What are you goin' on about, Novice? Which kitten?" LilyMoore had been in the Gatehouse, practicing her mandolin playing, and now she comes out the door, hurriedly putting on her cloak and knitted hat, mittens, and scarf over her sweater (which is over her tunic -- she's also, miraculously, wearing boots). "Wait, which kitten? We have, like, 3," she askes the Novice, trying to grab his sleeve.

Nutty knows nothing of DoraRose's grumpiness but then he's a squirrel who lets everyone call him Nutty, if he put any thought in to refusing nicknames it'd be a bit late now. He's hard to grab as he keeps moving his paws on to his head and he keeps pacing "The kitten!" he repeats "/The/ kitten" he got so used to calling her that before she started talking when they didn't know her name that it takes him a moment to realize that's not the right answer and he stops, presses his head in to his paws for a second and then recovers from his own stupidity and answers "Isa...The long-haired one" just in case they don't know which one Isa is.

DoraRose has been coming down the stairs, and now she's face to face with the Novice, her lips pressed into a line. "I'm not surprised....why do you think she left through the Gates? We've only opened it once." When the Gatekeeper wasn't on duty, of course. LilyMoore wrings her mittened paws. "Oh...oh, no. Do you thhink she tried to go home, Momma?" Dora nods, but waits silently for the squirrel's answer.

The novice startles and suddenly goes very still as he turns and finds himself face to face with Dora. For a moment he stares nervously and then he quickly points at the ground "Um, there's, um, she was...There's footprints...in the snow...um" a nervous glance to LilyMoore and he backs up and tries to point them out "Um, here. It looks like she was hiding here, by the snow drift...and um, you can see where the gate opens in and pushes the snow aside and, well, um" he points at the little set of dibbun sized footprints leading right out where the open door would have stood.

DoraRose looks at the footprints, her face hardening. "Lily, go get Nightsong. You're coming with me." LilyMoore nods and rushes off. The Gatekeeper rests a paw on the hilt of her sword and goes to gently lay a paw on the Novice's shoulder. "I'll hunt her down. You're right, those look like they'd be her pawprints. Tell Benar and Krisha where LilyMoore and I have gone. Hopefully I'll be back before sundown." The Bellringer returns, lugging her mother's double-headed, double-handed axe. The Warrior takes it, then gestures for the guards to open the gates. "C'mon, Lily. Let's go." The younger mouse nods and follows her mother outside the Abbey. The Gatekeeper easily follows the kitten's tracks, using her well-honed tracking skills to find the path she took.

Nutty looked confused for a second. He doesn't remember any Nightsong but he doesn't ask and doesn't realise it's the axe, he just nods quickly and hurries to do as he's told "Oh, I do hope she'll be alright."
Isa is fine. She's got her gloves, hat, coat and half her weight in warm fluff to keep her warm. She also has a good headstart and it's amazing how far a small cat can get when she has to. The pawprints are fairly obvious and lead north. She did once mention living near the market and she seems to know where she's going as the pawprints finally leave the road and cut in to the woods not far before the market turn off.

The trail isn't even a challenge for someone as skilled as DoraRose, and she's honestly glad about that. Makes her job that much faster. Silently she leads her daughter up the road, LilyMoore following close behind. "Momma, should I have your sword? What Nana said about Isa's father..." "That's actually a really good idea, Lily." The mice pause as the Gatekeeper switches her sword in its scabbard from her belt to her daughter. The Bellringer settles it at her side and takes a step, trying to get used to the unfamiliar presence of a sword from her belt. "I hope Isa's okay." "Me, too," Dora answers as they continue back on their way, following the trail into the woods. They walk as silently as possible, the Warrior doing a much better job of being sneaky than her daughter (practice does wonders!).

With the short days and the light starting to dim the woods are gloomy and quiet, muffled under the snow. Isa doesn't follow any particular path through them but she knows her way well enough to recognise the trees and rocks. As she knows she's getting close she speeds up, starting to run and skip a bit because she was sure her mother was going to be so proud she escaped and got back all by herself. Pretty soon she finds her way to a building for which the word shack would be a generous description. It had walls, doors, a mostly intact roof that might only leak 50% of the time and at least one of those windows wasn't broken. Isa stopped. She didn't run to the door and declare she was home. She waited. Listening and watching as she stood very still.

As the light dims, DoraRose has to work a bit harder to follow the trail, but this still is probably one of the easiest tracking exercises she has ever encountered. She followed the trail of sorts of the murderer of her baby sister for multiple seasons, as well as tracking many creatures through woods and grasslands during dry, dusty weather. She's got this. LilyMoore stays silent, doing her best to match her mother's near-silent steps. When the paw prints start looking like dancing and skipping, the mice speed up, concerned about what they may find at the end. As they get close to the shack, the Gatekeeper motions something to her daughter, who whispers, "Isa? Are you here, sweetie?" They dare not be any louder than that.

Isa doesn't really understand hiding her tracks which is probably best for all of them. Her ears twitch when she hears the faint sound of movement but it's not from the shack. She turns, her eyes glowing slightly in the gloom as they reflect brightly what little light there is. She has no problem with the approaching dark. She suddenly frowns as she sees the mice and takes off, running towards the shack "No! M'not goin' back!" she came all this way, she's not leaving without a fight! "Mum!" she yells, running to the shack and fiddling quickly with the door because it doesn't open properly. She knows the trick though, gets the door open "Mum!" runs inside and then freezes...realizing that she hadn't been careful.
Inside is a tiny kitchen. The ground covered with dirt, feathers, sawdust and bits of broken pottery. There's a little door leading to a shabby little sitting room with a fire, chair, bed and something. Something that moves, getting out of the chair "WHO DARES-..." the voice stops when they see Isa as a big cat comes in to view. Not a cuddly, fluffy cat like Isa but a big angry Wildcat with scars across his face. For a second he looks surprised, he even sounds concerned when he speaks "Kid?...I thought y'were gone fer good...where" it only lasts a second as his face turns to a frown and he roughly grabs Isa's arm "Where 'ave y'been? Wha' 'ave I told yer about leavin' this 'ouse?"

Sighing, DoraRose practically silently follows, much more cautious than the kitten. LilyMoore follows, almost as silently as her mother, but she stops and chokes back a gasp as she hears the shout. The Warrior's blue eyes flash, and she gestures at her daughter, murmuring so quietly the other mouse almost can't hear her: "Go around the back and try to thneak in a window, hurry!" The Bellringer nods, trying to still her trembling limbs as she hurries off around the back of the shack. Taking a deep breath, the Gatekeeper sneaks cautiously to one side of the door, hoping it's not closed and stuck (yeah, she had noticed the kitten fiddling with it). She stands to one side, flat against the wall so she can't be seen, counting heartbeats to give her daughter a chance to make it to a window.

The door closes about as well as it opens so thankfully it doesn't shut properly again and rests slight ajar. The wildcat has not idea either of the mice are there and only pays attention to Isa right now. His tone started off sounding like that of a concerned parent who's mad their kid ran off and scared them but his grip on Isa's arm is hard as he pulls her out of the kitchen and in to the living room "Y'think just cause yer idiot f'a mother's gone y'can go where y'like?!" he shouts as Isa struggles slightly with a scared little whine as she's stuck between wanting him to let go and not wanting to make him angrier.

The tweet of a sparrow sounds out from outside one of the broken windows in the living room. DoraRose takes a deep breath, knowing that was her daughter's signal, and kicks in the door. "OI, SCUMFACE!" She strides into the room, blue eyes blazing as she grips her axe and gets into a battle stance. "Why don't you pick on somebeast your own size?" LilyMoore peers over the windowframe and urgently gestures for the kitten to remain quiet. Watching the male cat, the Bellringer readies herself to hop through the window.

Isa yelps as her father suddenly turns but never lets go of her arm when the door is kicked in. "WHAT THE HELL!?" he yowls angrily but the hiss that follows it turns in to a hissing laugh before he roars with laughter at Dora "Me own size? HHAHAHA! Are they waitin' outside?" he still doesn't let Isa go as he draws an old battered sword from his belt and points it at Dora "Yer in me 'ome, yer gonna die fer comin' in 'ere" he sharply pulls Isa closer so she's by his legs. Protecting her from the mouse or using her as a shield? Who knows his motives.

It's DoraRose's turn to laugh, coldly, darkly. "Oh, please. You're just a washed up, mangy, flea-bitten excuse for a drunkard. Stop hiding behind kittens and face me like a Warrior. Unless you're so /scared/ you can't even stand up without Isa holding you up." The Gatekeeper has faced bigger, badder, healthier, and better-armed opponents most of her life. She's not too scared. LilyMoore lifts herself up onto the windowsill behind the felines with silent ease, crouching there, waiting for the big male cat to step away from the kitten.

"She's my-!" the wildcat starts to yell in response to being accused of hiding behind kittens. After all Isa was his daughter so he could do what he wanted with her! He stops short though when Dora mentions Isa's name. He had had a few already, he was drunk and it took him a second longer before he figured out what that meant. "Y'brought them 'ere" he mutters looking both betrayed and surprised as he looks down at Isa before it all happens so fast as his face turns in to a snarl "Y'brought them 'ere t'kill me yer ungrateful little brat! After all I've done fer y', all I've put up with from y'an' yer stupid crass f'a mother!" a split second after his realization and Isa screams as he finally does let go but only so he can hit her with a clawed paw and send her flying before he charges at Dora, sword raised "I'll kill the lot f'yer!" he still has not yet spotted Lily.

Oh, no, he didn't! DoraRose matches his shouts with one of her own: "REDWAAAALLL!!" She stands her ground in the front room and swings her axe, ducking his sword and dancing to the side. "You're nothing but a coward!" LilyMoore can't help but gasp, but then she's on the floor and darts over to where the kitten is, checking her for injuries as she tries to scoop her up in her arms. Drawing her mother's sword, the Bellringer half watches the fight, just in case Mister Big-and-Evil spots her.

Isa hits the wall and bounces off to land on the floor hard. Fortunately cats are made out of some indestructible jello when it comes to falls, she might bruise but nothing broken. There's some pretty deep scratches on the back of her head, to one side of it and a little nick taken out of her ear that's all bleeding now. She doesn't scream again though, she just cries but very quietly as she's learned to keep attention off her. She doesn't put up any fight when Lily scoops her up and she starts to curl up under her tail "Mum?" she whimpers very quietly. The wildcat narrowly avoids the axe, losing a couple of whiskers as he stumbles back and then turns to follow Dora's movements only to spot Lily at last. He growls "Yer from d'abbey! Yer tryin' t'steal me daughter! SHE'S MINE!" he swings his sword towards Dora, not aiming much but putting a lot of strength in it to try and force her back before he charges at Lily, raising a clawed paw above his head.

LilyMoore is halfway to the window by now, and she gives a tiny shriek as she raises the sword, trying to slice off the wildcat's paw. DoraRose roars and stands firm, but only barely, under his swing, then charges after him. "SHE IS A FREE CREATURE!!" The Gatekeeper's eyes are turning slightly red, the Bloodwrath trying to take hold as she sees her daughter threatened. With another war cry, the Warrior swings her axe at the cat's back. Lily hugs the kitten close. "Hold on to me, Isa!" She younger mouse keeps the sword up, trying to protect them both.

The wildcat's ability to keep track of both mice is not good, he's used to robbing travellers in gangs not being attacked in his home. He hisses as he draws his paw back but still gets a deep cut on his arm but Dora's axe hits its mark and he screams in pain, dropping his sword but still trying to grab Dora with his claws as he falls down. Isa holds on to Lily's coat tightly for comfort but can't help but peek out of her tail when the wildcat sounds in pain "...Dad?" she asks quietly. She doesn't sound happy or upset, she sounds more confused than anything.

While she is able to get her axe out of his back, DoraRose isn't able to avoid the claws, and she shouts in pain. "Go, Lily!" The Warrior pulls a knife from her boot and tries to stab the cat in the chest as they fall to the ground. LilyMoore turns and hops up on the windowsill, trying to escape the bloodshed with the kitten. The sword is still in her paw, but she's skilled enough to keep it away from her and her charge. Back in the shack, the Gatekeeper of Redwall growls, "What did you do to the kitten's mother?" She needs to know. Hopefully he has enough life left in him to be able to tell her, if he deigns to.

Isa's concern only starts as she's taken out of the window and can't see what's going on anymore. She strains against Lily's grip "Wha's she doin'? Dad?" she never raises her voice though, staying quiet. The wildcat gasps as the knife goes in to his chest and struggles to breathe. He scrambles for the knife, going to swipe claws at her if she gets in the way but his strength is fading fast and he can't get a good grip. It's only a few seconds before he stops trying and lies on the floor, just trying to breathe. Maybe after a break he can try again...sure, he'll just rest a while...The question barely cuts through his clouding mind and after a delay he laughs, wheezing a little as he puts two and two together "Hehehaa...stupid brat don't even know wha' she saw. She knows wha' 'appened, she was there, she saw...hehheh...Y'know 'ow...'ow may times I told 'er?...All she 'ad t'do was keep the brat busy n'get the drink, make the food n'keep the place tidy...y'maids, y'don't know" his breathing gets little more ragged "When y'got a good thing...Never did as she were told" a grin spreads over his face and he wheezes out another laugh as his eyes focuses on the mouse, taunting her one last time "I 'ad t'kill 'er, she weren't ever goin' t'learn"

Ignoring the claws on her arms, DoraRose pulls the knife out as she listens to the wildcat, her blue eyes still tinged red. She leans down, her face close to his, and growls, "I had a good thing. His name was Leon. And I'm pretty sure he'd approve of this." Standing up, she picks up her axe. "Say hello to Stormfeather for me, since you'll be seeinghim in Hellgates." She lifts the axe and brings it down with finality. The wildcat should now find himself without a head. LilyMoore can't really do anything to keep the kitten from peering over her shoulder. "My...Momma...she's making sure he /never/ hurts you again," the Bellringer manages to answer as she drops to the snow-covered ground and runs back the way they came for a dozen steps. Kneeling, Lily tries to keep hold of the kitten, her own multi-coloured eyes wide, focused on the shack, waiting for her mother to come.

The wildcat is losing his grip on reality along with everything else "We'll 'ave a party" he says to meeting Stormfeather before he bursts out laughing loudly with a lot of wheezing until the axe goes thunk and suddenly the house falls silent. Isa stops trying to get away after the axe falls. She didn't quite see the end of the final blow but she knows what happened and she falls silent for a while afterwards. She doesn't know what to think or feel. It's complicated, she's very conflicted. Finally there's just a tiny, quiet "Ok..." to Lily's words and Isa slowly hugs on to her, still unsure of everything even as she very quietly asks "...Can I see mum now?"

"I'm sure you will." DoraRose's snarl is the last thing he hears. Cleaning her axe and knife, the Warrior searches through the shack, looking for anything that could be the kitten's or that could have been her mother's that the female cat would've wanted her daughter to have. Bundling anything up in a blanket, the Gatekeeper stalks out of the house, kicking the dead cat's body for good measure. As she steps outside, she takes a deep breath and stares at the sky for a few breaths to calm herself. Once she's sure all the Bloodwrath and anger are gone, she follows her daughter's footprints to where they are. LilyMoore has been holding Isa close. "I....I don't think she's here anymore, sweetie," the Bellringer whispers. "I think your Dad did to her what my Momma did to him. I don't think your Mom's alive anymore. I'm sorry."

There's not much in the house for Isa, some handmade toys hidden in the kitchen and a small stash of valuables but by the random selection they're more likely stolen goods than family heirlooms. The wildcat has a few bits on him like rings but most of what he 'earned' was spent on drink and there are a lot of empty bottles everywhere. Isa looks worried, she's fairly limp in Lily's arms, not holding on back anymore. She keeps flicking her ear because it stings where it was scratched. She sniffs and shakes her head, staring at the snow on the ground "She always gets back up...she just 'ad t'rest a bit"

All the stuff ot taken, anyway. DoraRose even lifted the rings off the wildcat, determined that the kitten should have some connection to her mother. Now the Gatekeeper comes up to the pair huddled in the snow. "Lily, clean the sword." As the Bellringer complies, DoraRose sets her axe and the blanket bundle down and goes to slowly reach for the kitten. "Hey, sweetheart. I just wanna look at those scratches. I may be able to stop the bleeding until we get back to Redwall." She'd heard what Isa had said, and she shakes her head. "No, little one. I'm sorry, but your father told me he killed your mother, just like I slew him. I don't doubt his word." LilyMoore sheaths the sword and goes to hold the kitten close. "Momma, your arms--" "I'll deal with them in a minute."

Isa slowly brings her tail around in front of her as Dora approaches. She can't decide if the mouse is scary now, she's very unsure about everything. He faith that her mother was still alive had also waned when she wasn't at the house. Her ears go back when Dora confirms it then flick repeatedly because it hurts. The tears start properly now but though she sniffles a lot she doesn't make any more noise while she's crying except for the tiniest "Ok" She presses lightly against Lily when she's held on to again, not fighting to get away this time but instead a subtle push to be closer. She doesn't stop them from looking at the scratches too, they're quite deep and hurt but right now Isa is too upset and broken to care.

"I'm sorry," DoraRose tells her as she looks at the cuts with gentle firmness. She pulls bandages out of her pocket and goes to wrap the kitten's head. She pulls more out and hands them to LilyMoore, who bandages up her mother's arms. After a few minutes, the Gatekeeper stands, picking up her axe and the bundle. "C'mon. Let's go home." The Bellringer nods and stands, snuggling the kitten close the who silent trek back to Redwall. They arrive at the Abbey after sunset and head straight for the Infirmary, where Angela sets to work cleaning up the scratches. How Isa and Lily deal with this remains to be seen....

Leon:  That idea for World2 sounds really good, and will help me with the way I'll be running that D.R.  smile  I'm gonna run with that, if that's okay.  In this world, LilyMoore and the good Ormaz become friends like Lily and Marek did in the IC realm, but shortly before we enter the time stream of this OOC TP, Lily2 was killed.  Angela never made it to Redwall.  So, yeah....I'ma make this D.R. about as edgy as possible without having her be full-out evil tongue

Oz:  We could make D.R.2 Champion.  shrugs  Also, you could just say that Zolomon was never even been born.  Like, his grandfather was killed in some earlier battle.

Elbio: Truth, yo.  Gotta have them Guosim smile

Ha!  Skeleton xD  If you want to do that, Elbio, be my guest smile

I like how y'all have started the mill/underground tunnels arc thing.  I like it big_smile

Y'all have such good ideas!  Keep 'em comin'! smile

Thanks for letting us know!  I hope you can come back to RP with us someday, and that RL treats you well.  Many blessings <3

Hey y'all.  The state i live in is in the path of some possiblypretty crazy winter weather.  I'm most likely not going to be able to come on to rp tomorrow.  I'm only on here on my touch screen device while doing emergency errands that we're not going to be risking tomorrow.

I have an rp planned with Isa tomorrow.  If she asks where i am please send her this so she knows.  Sorry the weather's gonna keep me away.

Also, thoes of you who do lots of stuff on phones: how do you do it??!  This stupid keyboard is so uncooperative and slow.  I wanna stab somebody (or at least break my device).  You must have more patience than i do tongue

Hope to rp soon!!  Like, maybe Wednesday.  Most likely Thursday.  ♡aloha

SCENE:  Salamandastron Kitchens

LOG:
The leverets, led by the notorious DAB, have somehow escaped their captors....I mean, the leveret caretakers. They feel hungry, so they have decided to visit (read: raid) the kitchens in search of a snack. They have managed to avoid all the adults and, upon arriving in the kitchens, have discovered a lack of adult supervision in here, as well. The leverets scatter, opening cabinets and jars, eating anything that looks edible. There are even fruit pies on a counter! Julia (Felicity's baby sister), however, looks worried. "I no so sure dis is okay," she whimpers. "Lissie gonna get mad." When none of the other leverets pay her any heed, she pouts, then smiles as a 'brilliant' idea comes to mind. "I knows! I'ma ask a /adult/!" And so she headed down to the catacombs to get the only adult she knows the whereabouts of: Dominik. "/Dooooo-mmmyyyyy/," she calls as she wanders around. "I needs you /'elp/."

Dominik had continued to dwell down in the catacombs, the large hare finding the area to be a perfect combination of quiet and solitude. He'd been a generally solitary buck before everything had occurred, and now with all that had happened it had simply made things worse, and had made Dom generally unbearable to be around for more than a few minutes at a time due to his wildly unpredictable emotional swings. But the one thing he did look forward to were the daily visits from the leverets (whether or not their parents knew what they were up to is a different story), and whenever he'd heard their voices calling him, his expression would light up and he'd be right there at the entrance to his alcove, waiting to meet them. Currently, the buck is slumped over with his head resting upon his arms, eyes half closed as he drifts in and out of a light doze. His large ears immediately shoot up as he catches the sound of his name being called, his head lifting off his arms as he pushes himself up to his footpaws, and lumbers over towards the entrance. Lifting a paw to rub his eyes sleepily, he peers down at Julia as she wanders by. "...Jools," he replies, his voice quiet yet still possessing that booming quality that rattles ones' bones if close enough. "...is here. Vat...is needing...?"

One of the small hares comes walking into the room, dragging a blanket behind them and sucking their thumb, they look around and tilts their head.  It's clear they are not yet at the age of talking and who was watching this kid who just sits down in the middle of the kitchens and looks around, then giggles.

Grace, daughter to Greg and maker of trouble, knows exactly what she wants now they've found the kitchen empty and that is the candied chestnuts. The question was where had the cooks hidden them this time because they seemed to move them around on a top secret rota. She was convinced they had decoy jars too as she opens a pot only to be disappointed by flour. A little pouty frown and she looks around as she absentmindedly leaves the pot of flour on the floor as she's distracted in her search and she pays it no attention as it tips over and spills.

Smiling up at the huge hare, Julia clasps her paws behind her and twists on the balls of her feet in a very cute manner. "We wevewets 'ave decided we's /'ungry/ an' wants a /snacks/, but I no sure 'tis a good /idear/, so's I's wond'rin's ifs /you/ coulds come an'...an' lets us knows if we's bein' /bad/ or somethin'." She holds out a paw so she can lead him to the kitchen. Meanwhile, the leverets have found the pies, as well as the honey, jam, hot peppers, dried apples, and lettuce. They mostly just eat the pies. A happy cry goes up from one corner as they discover the day-old cookies, scones, and biscuits. Jackpot!

Dominik stares down at Julia as she makes her case, and of course it doesn't take very long before the massive hare makes his decision. As she holds out her paw to him, he reaches down and very gently takes it into his very large paw, making sure not to smoosh it in his grip. A large grin brightens up his normally dour features, and he nods his head to her. "Kay. Can do this. Has not been...up...since...getting here. Is...hungry, too. Let us go, leetle Jools." With that, Dom lumbers beside Julia, making his way up in the direction of the kitchens. "Cannot let...leetle vuns starve." As they enter the kitchen, the large hare's gaze slowly looks around the kitchen, and the chaos that is already ensuing. He grins down at Julia, his large ears waggling in delight.

The smallest hare, the one with the blanket finds the hot pepper and tries one, they make a face and dump them all on the floor And then they find a jar of apple sauce and hides under a table with the jar, eating the contains of the jar as they watch the , likely soon to be chaos of the room.

Grace leaves a little trail of flour footprints in her wake as she goes from cupboard to cupboard, taking a cookie on the way before she starts trying to climb up on to the counters. She's struggling to get up when Dom appears and she grins, dropping back to the ground "Dom! We gots all the food yah can evah eat!"

Julia dances/skips beside the big white hare, humming a happy song as they head back up to the kitchens. When they reach it and see all the chaos, her worried frown returns. "I don't fink dis is good..." she murmurs, then releases Dom's paw, tugs her doll out of her belt and hugs it close, and walks over to the leverets who have the cookies. Grabbing one, she absently munches it while she looks around at the mess. "Um, uh, Gwace, /may/be y'should cwean y'feet, maybe," she says, pointing to the flour footprints and trying to be as unoffensive as she can manage. Grabbing another cookie, Julia watches worriedly as a group of leverets starts pulling out drawers and using them as steps to get up to the top of the counters. Where they immediately spill a jar of dried basil.

Dominik's smile widens even more as he sees Grace there. "Hello, leetle Grace." Seeing that the leveret is struggling to get where she's trying to go, he ambles over and gives her a boost up onto the counter. Seeing the other leverets using the drawers as steps, he moves over to each and every one and helps them all up onto the counters. Such a helpful adult, he is! Noting the flour footprints that Grace has left behind, Dom's eyes slowly narrow in thought, as he trundles over and walks through the flour, himself. He reaches over and picks up one of the unopened bags, and lets it fall to the floor. As it hits the ground and bursts open with a fwoompf! it sends flour swirling everywhere, and Dom trods through it himself, leaving even bigger footprints as he moves around. "Leetle vuns!" he points at the flour all over the floor. "Vant to be...zis...'fluffy'...all white....like Dom...can do this, now!" He seems proud of the fact that he figured this out, himself. "Can look like Dom!" He sits down on the floor in front of the busted open bag of flour, reaching down and getting it all over himself.

The one hiding under the table is all covered in apple mush and giggles as she crawls over towards Domink, this is funny, she slips at the white flour and giggles even more so and smiles, this is fun, this is silly, she is happy.

Grace grins as Dom easily lifts her up on to the counter where she can continue her search "Thank y'Dom" he says in a sing song voice but she pauses when Julia speaks to her "Huh?" she looks down at her feet and sees the flour she's treading around for the first time...She shrugs "But this way I can see where I've looked" or at least she could until Dom released the white cloud from it's bag. She eeps in surprise and coughs a little as the flour settles but the moment Dom mentions being white and fluffy like him she perks up straight, her grin growing huge! She's back down off the counter in a split second and suddenly right next to the big hare "I do! Me! I wants t'be fluffy an' white!" she's practically bouncing in place from the excitement.

Julia frowns and hides behind a big jar, brow furrowing. On one hand, she's /pretty/ sure her sister will be the opposite of approving of this escapade, /especially/ the mess. On the other hand, Dominik's an /adult/, and adults can't /possibly/ do anything wrong, right? Biting her lip, she hugs her doll close and stays where she is, managing to grab some more cookies and chomp them worriedly. The other leverets scream with delight as Dom helps them up, but then most of them follow Grace back down and start romping around in the flour, echoing her desire to look like their gigantic friend.

Dominik reaches over and picks up the flour bag, which still has quite a bit of flour held within it. As Grace makes her way back over to him and hops up and down excitedly at the prospect of being white and fluffy like they had previously discussed, the large hare upends the bag right over the top of the leveret, getting her nice and covered in flour! He sneezes as a result, sending up a cloud of flour around him, and he grins down at the small leveret who had crawled over from under the table. He scoops up some flour with a paw and dumps it on her as well, and as most of the other Dibbuns congregate around the hare, he laughs in delight, the sounds booming throughout the kitchen. He begins to pick up pawfuls of flour, tossing them lightly at the small hares surrounding him, and he lifts his head and sees Julia and her worried frown. He lifts a flour-covered paw and waves her over to him. "Jools, is fun! Come over, join Dom. Be fluffy!"

The smallest one giggles as it seems to snow down flour onto her head, She giggles and sneezes when it gets up her nose.

Grace opens her paws wide and stands directly under the bag of flour as it's dumped on her and she quickly finds out why this is a bad idea! She splutters as it goes up her nose and she sneezes repeatedly. Four sneezes in a row and she just about has control of her nose. She squints out of floury eyes and shakes some of the excess flour off before she rubs it in to her eye "M'all fluffy now!" she sounds victorious! But also like she might be regretting the method.

Julia's frown deepens as she sees the flour treatment in full effect. A lot of the leverets are sneezing, and one starts to cry as he gets flour in his eye. "You /sure/ dat a good idear, Dommy?" She asks innocently. One of the older leverets has managed to block every single doorway with a chair so no one can get in. He nods in satisfaction at his job well done, then dives into the flour with Dom and the others! Meanwhile, the leveret caretakers have panicked! Almost all of the leverets, missing! They have sent the message to Felicity, Gregorian, and all the other family members of the leverets who still have family. Felicity has a sneaking suspicion of where they leverets may be. She checks the catacombs first (obviously), then goes to check the dining hall. But before she can get there, she hears Dom's huge, booming laugh from the kitchen. Stealthily, sneakily, silently, she goes to open the kitchen door.....and sighs heavily when it sticks fast.  Great. Just great. She stands there for quite a number of minutes, trying to decide if it's worth it disrupting whatever Dominik is doing. I mean, he sounds so /happy/. But the leverets are in there. She can hear them. Heaving another heavy sigh, she loudly jiggles the door handle and shouts, "Oi! Open th'door, wot! We need t'be able t'eat t'night!"

Dominik gives Julia a floury smile. "Yas. Is good idea..." Hearing the leveret crying as he gets flour in his eye, Dom sighs. "No, is doing wrong. Not get in eye, eye already white!" He chuffs in frustration. How could he not know that? It was so simple! "Now eye is red." He glances up and sees all the doors blocked with chairs, and his expression shifts a little to more of a concerned one. "Dat...is not good idea." He seems to be well aware of the fact that with the doors being blocked, it'll make the situation seem much more serious than it is. And then, he hears Felicity's voice from the other side of the door. His ears perk up in alarm, eyes widening as he takes a look around the room, and its currently disheveled state...the worst part being the entire floor and most surfaces covered in flour. He sighs, shoulders slumping as he lifts a paw and points it at the door she is trying to enter. "...go, move chair..." he rumbles to the Dibbun that had put the chair there in the first place. "...vil be in much trouble if...can't get in. Can be trusting vith this." At this point, the smallest of the leverets crawls into his lap and ends up falling asleep there. Dom blinks, staring down at her with a helpless expression.

The smallest dibbun is, just cute and covered in flour and seems to have no worries about Dom at all as she sleeps in his lap without a care, and her blanket held loosely in her paw still.

Gregorian's only reaction to learning his daughter and all the other dibbuns are missing is to sigh, gather a bag of tools from the forge and go looking. He's sure they're not actually in trouble but they will be when he finds them. He's quiet, focusing on listening for the sound of giggling until he hears Felicity yelling. There's a safe bet that's where they are "They in there then?" Grace ends up with some in her eye too, it's hard to avoid when the flour is everywhere! She doesn't cry, she does rub at it but aside from a little cough she tries to enjoy her newfound colour change and kicks the flour about as she stomps...and then suddenly she grins at Julia "Y'don't look white enough yet" she says as she advances towards the dibbun, arms outstretched with the threat of a floury hug...she freezes when she hears voices at the door, her grin disappearing instantly.

Felicity sighs again, nodding to the Smith. "Aye, as fah as I c'n tell. An' o' /course/ Dom's in thehre, too. 'Cause o' /course/. Why not?" She jiggles the handle again. "I'll deal wi' Dom an' m'sistah. OI! OPEN TH'DOOR!" The leverets have all helpfully frozen, barely daring to breathe. A few start to cry (especially the ones with the flour in their eyes). The one who put the chairs at the doors looks between Dom and the door, then runs to the one that opens into the dining room, jerks the chair away, and escapes through into the dining room, closing the door behind him! That makes a few more leverets start crying. As Grace advances on her, Julia backs up, throwing an arm over her face. "No, nos, I nos /wants/ t'be whites, I /wikes/ bein' wike dis!" Hearing her sister's voice, Julia does the one logical thing: she curls in a ball on the floor around her little doll and cries.

Dominik is generally helpless at this point in time. For one, Felicity had already heard his voice, and so naturally assumed him to be present there, so it isn't as if he could really hide anyplace. And even if he could, he had very few options to do so, due to his massive size. Hearing all the crying around him, Dom sighs, his ears slowly folding against the back of his head as his gaze once again drifts down to the leveret asleep in his lap. A tiny little smile tugs at the corners of his muzzle for a brief moment as he watches her sleep, then he lifts his gaze again to the door that had been freed from the constraints of the chair that had previously been blocking it. He motions for Grace to join him, reaching over to gently tug Julia over towards him as well. If they were going to get in trouble for this, he was not going to hang his little friends out to dry...he'd remain right there with them. "...hey. Psst. Jools. Do not cry. See? Look. Is face." Dom does his best to make a silly face to try and cheer the leveret up. "Myeah!" he sticks his tongue out and crosses his eyes. He then shifts his gaze back towards the door, watching it to see who ends up entering the kitchen. Upon entering, they will see Dom seated there on the floor in the middle of the kitchen, the entire room coated in a layer of flour, himself and the Dibbuns that surround him, included. The cupboards are open, jars smashed here and there in various places, and various bits of other foods litter the floor.

Grace stays staring at the door for a minute. They're in so much trouble..."We gots tah tidy everythin' up!" she suddenly panics and picks up a jar to try and get it up on the counter. There's no way they'd be able to tidy all this and she gives up instantly when Dom calls her over "...We says it was an accident" she mutters and quickly goes to join the big hare instead, trying to sit on his lap. Greg is weirdly fine. Sometimes he's the bringer of wrath and yelled lectures. Sometimes he's just the long suffering dad just trying to keep up with his daughter. He sighs heavily and gestures for Felicity to back up "Alright, lets get this open so they can stay in there doin' dishes until they're old enough tah retire" he grumbles as he sets to work taking the pins out of the door's hinges within seconds and letting the door fall outside the room on to the floor. He stares at Dom once it's open, his paw yightening slightly "Do yah all want tah explain yahselves?" he asks, his voice raising slightly louder.

Julia lets Dom tug her close to him, but stays curled up in a ball, clutching her dolly close and crying. "Lissie gonna be so /mad/," she whimpers, curling up even tighter. Felicity backs up, sighing. "Aye, sounds good." When the door finally bangs open, she just stares at the mess, noting how her sister seems strangely un-involved this time. The Sargeant tries to make eye contact with Dom. She looks a little disappointed, and also happy that he's somewhere other than the catacombs. She then looks back at the mess and sighs again. Great. Just great.

Dominik gathers Grace up into his lap as she climbs up, and he places her next to the Dibbun that is currently asleep there. He keeps a paw resting lightly on her shoulders, in a gesture that is more comforting than anything else. As Greg enters first, then Felicity, Dom's ears remain flat upon his head. His eyes fall upon Greg first, the large hare's jaw clenching a little. "Vas hungry. Vent to get foods. Got foods." There. Simple enough, yeah. "Foods...did not vant to come vith." His eyes then meet Felicity's as she makes eye contact with him, and the hare doesn't lower his gaze at all, willing to take the blame for his part in the whole thing. "Vas...my idea. Leetle vuns play along. Vanted foods, Dom say he gets for thems. Do not punish thems. Vas...Dom's fault..." he replies, his voice steady, despite the chaos in the room, the Dibbuns in his lap and the various other crying leverets spread throughout the kitchen. He reaches down a paw, picking up another pawful of flour and letting it slowly drift down to the ground, eyes turning to watch it fall.

Gregorian folds his arms as he stares down at the group. Grace is trying to look small and blend in with all the floury whiteness as her father gives Dom a look "Like hell it was yah ideah. Yah haven't come upstairs in weeks..." which perhaps makes it worth the mess. Though the cooks may not agree. They were all looking very peaceful sat on the floor, it was hard to summon the anger. He glances at Felicity with a sigh before raising his voice "Alright! I don't care who's ideah this was yah all get tah clear it up...and yah all havin' a bath" he points at Dom "And don't think that doesn't include yah. Yah can help them fix this place and get them cleaned up"

Julia stops crying as her big friend takes all the blame, but she decides to not say anything right now. Felicity scowls. "Oh, I doubt 'twas y'idea, Dom. Y've been in th'catacombs since we brought y'back." She looks over the kitchen, then backs up the Lietenent's order of sorts. "Aye, th'lot o'y'get t'clean this up, then I will /personally/ escort /all/ o'y't'th'baths. Now get crackin'!" One of the leverets stands and tells which one of them put the chairs in the way. The Sergeant sighs. "Oh, I'll 'ave a word wi' 'im, too. 'E's th'age t'be a Recruit, almost. May'ap we can make i'm join early..." she muses. The leverets sall stand and mill about, picking up things that are on the floor, although they have no idea how to clean up the flour. Julia stands, still sniffling, only half of her covered in flour since she was only dragged through it, and even that wasn't her fault. Tears well up in her eyes.  Felicity scoops her up, then looks down at Dom. "...d'y' 'ave any idea 'ow t'clean up flour? 'Cause I sure don't."

Dominik gives a quiet nod of his head at Greg's order, then when Felicity follows it up with a similar order, the buck gently deposits the Dibbuns that had been in his lap on the floor beside him. He rises back up to his full height, flour still drifting and floating about as he further disturbs the stuff already all over him. "...vil figure out," he replies, quietly. "Get clean, clean kitchen. Get rid...of flours." He glances back to Felicity. "Told leetle vuns could be vhite, like Dom. Is vhy, flours is...all over. Thought vas best way to do." The large hare is seemingly more like his old self at the moment, for whatever reason, no mention of Erg at all...his eyes are generally clear and lacking that cloudiness they'd contained previously. He shuffles over towards the nearest broom, and begins to slowly try and sweep up the mess. It...isn't the most successful method, the large hare seemingly making a bigger mess as he trails flour all over the place, wherever he goes. Suddenly, a large cloud of flour rises into the air as the large hare sneezes. "Ahh-CHOOOO!" He blinks, standing there with a look of amusing surprise upon his face.

Grace seems to take this as getting off easy and slowly slips off of Dom's lap to move a little further away so she can blend in with the crowd of dibbuns cleaning up and moping that their fun has been spoiled. Greg shakes his head and takes a step back to pick the door back up and work on getting it back in place out of the way.

Felicity nods, smiling wearily at her friend. "Well, it makes sense. May'ap we c'n try it in a different mannah someday." Setting Julia down, the Sergeant watches the Dibbuns pick up all the random things, (although she picks up the broken glass). Julia grabs a rag and starts cleaning up applesauce from under the table, obviously in well practice to do that. Felicity sneezes at the same time Dom does, and the maiden glances up at him. "Um....maybe..." She looks around, then grabs 2 dust pans. "May'ap try scoopin' it int' 1 o' these, then dump it an' start agin." She's just guessing.

Dominik is seemingly caught off-guard that they hadn't gotten in more trouble than what they seemed to be in, though the large hare certainly does not complain as he goes about beginning to try and clean up the flour as best he can with the method Felicity suggested. After a short while of this, and just some general cleaning and tidying up, the kitchen is halfway back to normal once again. At this point, Dom glances down at the leverets who are still hovering around his footpaws, doing their best to help clean up. "Hmm. Is thinking, only can be Dom for leetle bit of time. Then, has to turn back...to leetle vuns, yes?" This seems to be his way of saying that it is indeed bathtime. "Leetle vuns are best thing to be." He reaches down in an attempt to pick up Julia, to place the leveret on his shoulder much as he'd done long before the swamp incident. He glances back over at Felicity, head tilting as if the buck is making sure that it is okay to pick her up. He seems to understand how important she is to Felicity.

It takes her a few seconds, but Felicity grasps his meaning and nods. "Aye, 'tis time f'r all th'little Doms t'become leverets again." A couple Dibbuns wail, but most just go along with it, simply happy that they're not in lots of trouble. Julia lets the huge buck pick her up and goes to cling to his head. After a few moments of looking at his face, Felicity smiles and goes to rest a paw on his arm. "I'm glad y'back, Dom," she says quietly. He's obviously not all the way back to normal, but he made a lot of progress today. She then turns to the leverets and starts to shepherd them out of the kitchen.

Dominik seems quite pleased as Julia settles onto his shoulder and wraps her paws around his head. The smile upon his muzzle is a genuine one, and it appears to be more than obvious that above all else, Dom certainly cares for the leverets. Perhaps that is part of what is beginning to slowly and gradually bring him back...it certainly did not hurt in the least, anyway. As Felicity meets his gaze and places a paw on his arm, he gives her a nod of acknowledgement. It's somewhat hard to take the giant, flour-covered buck seriously when he is...covered in flour...but, he is doing his best to do what he thinks is the right thing to do. "...is...back?" he asks, softly, head tilting. "Vere...did go?" He pauses, blinking, as he watches Felicity leading the other leverets out of the room. Giving a shrug after a moment, he begins to follow after, Julia perched on his shoulder.

Felicity guides the leverets and Dom up to the baths, Julia managing to fall asleep as they go. But the Sergeant isn't worried. She trusts Dom with the Dibbuns. Don't ask her why. She just knows they'll be safe with him. She doesn't answer his question for now. Maybe when he's not so close to the crazy. And she'll make sure to get Greg to help her talk with the caretakers and cooks to not punish the leverets and Dom more. A bath is enough for the DABers, anyway....

(Okay, here are the poses.  I give only Oz and Cota permission to spoof these poses!!!  All 4 of the following paragraphs are my poses.  I thought doing it like this would help avoid the buffer thing in-game. tongue )

DoraRose has taken part of the feast off from guard duty, and she has forced Angela to take a break from the Infirmary, too.  They enter the room with LilyMoore close behind, wearing matching navy blue dresses with fancy black embroidery on the bodices and around the bottoms of the sleeves and skirt.  They choose seats, and Emyuil hurries in, wearing a cream tunic, black pants, and a vest that matches their dresses.  He looks displeased with his outfit, but is being a good sport about it because of his family.  (Angela had also sent such an outfit to Cota, but it's unknown if he wore it.)

Nissaya the albino otter is nowhere to be seen, having taken over the Infirm so Angela can go to the feast with her family.  Zarok the monitor lizard and his newt friend Terfil are also here, dressed in their simple robes that show they are Brothers of the Order of Redwall.  They take seats right by DoraRose.  Butterclaw the Sparra is also here, a cheery red ribbon tied around his neck in a bow.  He sits beside his best friend, Lily.

Blisa had received an invite to the feast, and of /course/ she accepted it!  She is here, wearing her fancy black long sleeved dress covered in black embroidery.  Her bodyguards Ferdinand the ferret, Valerie the vixen, Hank the fox, and Clarissa the rat are also here, dressed in their best dress uniforms.  All their weapons are of course in the storage -- they wouldn't insult their greatest allies like that.  Statler the stoat and Waldo the weasel stayed home to guard the Ferravale Chieftain's house.

Halfway through the feast, DoraRose slips away, along with all the guards in here.  After changing their clothes into something a bit more reasonable for fighting, they relieve the guards who are still on duty so they, too, can join the fun.  LilyMoore helps get the Dibbuns to bed, then returns to hang out with her family and friends.  Everyone else stays here until the feast is all over, at which point they go to bed.

#739 Re: Ferravale » And now Ferravale needs a shared Head Guard! :D » 2020-01-08 06:14:38 PM

So!  I have decided some things about this Head Guard.  (Only Oz, Nightbreath, and I can spoof her!!)

She is a brown rat with dark brown eyes.  She is about as average looking as can be, including in her height.  Her voice is husky and deep for a female.  She uses a bastard sword.

Only Blisa (and Ferdinand) and Nightbreath would ICly know this, but she used to be an assassin/spy, then, deciding she didn't want to live that life anymore, she moved to Mossflower from the Southern Lands and eventually became the Head Guard.  She is good at swimming.  She walks silently, and she likes to sneak up on the guards when they're least expecting it so she can see if they're paying close attention to their surroundings, and if they're actually doing their jobs.  Her FV guard uniform also has yellow sunbursts embroidered on the sleeves to show that she's the Head Guard.

She is aggressive towards lawbreakers, but will hold herself back if Blisa tells her to.  She secretly likes cookies.  She likes to not tell people her name to begin with to see how they react and just in case they're hunting her down to kill her.

Most of this very few people would know ICly.  But putting it all here helps to Oz and I keep straight stuff about her smile

Another job that I would recommend is children.  smile

(If I could, I would make a shrew Dibbun.  But even though I can't, I still thought I'd suggest it.)

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make it.  That's the first week of this college semester for me, and one of my classes is on Thursdays.  That's the week that starts me not going to be able to be here on Thursdays for a few months sad I will work on a pose for somebody to do to show my characters there and post it on here soon.

(Oh, & by the way, Blisa has outlawed the eati of birds in FV.  It's been a law since she became Chieftain.  Just a reminder wink )

#743 Re: Ferravale » RP in Ferravale: IDEAS!!! » 2020-01-05 08:41:12 PM

About them not attacking Redwallers: it is a bit more than that, but I think you get the general idea smile

Blisa would have no patience for anyone who attacked someone from Redwall, though; those people would find themselves facing severe punishment (think flogging in the town square).  Also, members of the Order can not fight unless it is to defend themselves.  However, that wouldn't deter a vermin from trying something stupid.  Additionally, I have always run FV as having characters who weren't exactly happy with the peace treaty, so having a character like that would be welcome, especially if they still respected Blisa's rule.

FV has always been opposed to slavery, as well, so some minor RPs with NPC slavers would also be welcome to helpbshow that.   (Actually, the RP I would like to do when/if the LP visits FV has to do with a slaver,  but that's all I'm going to say for right .)

If you decide to make a FV char, that would be cool big_smile Or you could run NPCs.  Whichever smile

Thanks for the interest so far!!  Keep the ideas coming!! big_smile ♡♡

So....Ferravale is basically dead sad

When I get on, I look to see where everyone is, and if it's areas where I have a character (such as Redwall or Salamandastron), I go there, if the RP is open for other people.  I come on here to have fun, and it is way too boring for me to just sit around waiting to see if anybody gets on in that region.  So I've been RPing as Felicity and my Redwall characters for the most part, and Ferravale has basically died.

This makes me sad.

I love running Blisa.  She's fun, and she's my edgiest character that I can do borderline evil stuff with and it's fine.  She's also crazy, and sometimes the crazy characters are the most fun (*side eyes Monty*).  Plus, I just like her, and I've put a lot of thought, effort, and emotions into creating this character.  I like running her.  I like her.  Plus, I take the job of Chieftain of Ferravale seriously.  Yes, it's an IC position, but these kinds of things take OOC commitment, too.  I'm all in for Ferravale.  I think it's an imaginative part of the MUCK, and I don't want it to die.

So I think we should start planning RPs -- or at least days to RP -- in Ferravale.  Y'all can do this without me (and with my college schedule this semester, you may have to do a lot of them without me), but I'd like us to do at least 1 RP a month in FV.  It doesn't have to be much; it can literally just be characters sitting around in the tavern talking.  But I'd like to see us revitalize Ferravale.

This topic is to come up and discuss these RP ideas so we have 1 place where they are all collected.  Even if you think your idea sounds silly, please, share it!  That's part of what makes a community, is people sharing their ideas and discussing them with like-minded people.

I can't do this without you.  So let's work together on bringing back Redwall's closest IC ally.

Who's with me? big_smile

Some thoughts:

I look forward to when the hares get to Redwall.  I also have a pretty epic "first impression" in mind for if y'all decide to have them stop by Ferravale on the way north.  Give a glimpse into the more vermin-ish side of FV smile

When they arrive on the north side of the River Moss, I have an idea for a 1-shot RP that would actually be connected to what happens ICly in FV (even if they don't end up visiting....maybe I can still do that RP to show that side of FV); it would introduce the hares to my eagle, Riana.  She would tell them about how her father is King of the Eagles to the north, which would open it up to a 1 or 2 part RP where the hares get to meet the eagles (who wouldn't help them, but also wouldn't eat them) and help me ICly establish this kingdom that I've had in my mind to be up there in the Northlands for a number of years now.

I am also open to spoofing random NPCs who get to die, including slaves.  I just need to know a few weeks in advance what day my spoofing services would be needed.

However, I will also add that I will only have Saturdays open to RP, and then I will likely only be able to do 1 RP at a time.  I will also be helping with an OOC TP starting at the end of January.  My lack of time here is due to college classes and related homework (as a part-time student, but still).  This will also be fluctuating from semester to semester.  I hope to have more time over the summer (even though I will still be taking at least 1 class), but I have no idea about this coming fall semester.

So!  There's all that.  I thought those ideas might be fun, and show different aspects of the MUCK and how the hares react to each. smile  Lemme know what you think.

Okay!

Yeah, trying to balance multiple versions of characters will be a challenge.  It's okay if you don't want to take it on.  No worries! smile
