Karth was getting tried, but he stayed at his post and didn’t show signs he was tried at all. He watched the heron as it was his job, his duty.

A rustling is heard in the bushes and out stumbles a short brown shrew, he stands and dusts himself off” Your hard to find ya know that”

Karth spun around and just about shot an arrow at the shrew, his eyes widen slightly as he lowers the longbow “Flea..is that you?”

Flea frowns and then glares “What you trying ta do..slay me!!” He sniffs and shakes his head “Who else would it be and wot pray tell are ya doing ya salty old sea dog?”

Moseley opened his eyes and watched the creatures but he didn’t get up from where he laid down, his wing was hurting, and he had already ate so he wasn’t hungry or thirty.

Karth grips the longbow as he speaks “Keeping an eye on a rather large bird for my group leader. And if you wouldn’t try and sneak up on me, I wouldn’t almost slay you Flea.”

Flea keeps his distance from the heron as he speaks to Karth, “Group? Oh ya join a group and don’t brother to tell me, I’m your friend Karth and I lost track of you when you went after your latest bounty…so you catch him or not?”

Moseley focuses on the two beasts” Vhat hunt..Maybe Moseley hunt, is bad beast?”

Karth looks at the heron, “A otter and he got an arrow to the paw, his name is Fishhook and unlike most he is a bad egg, gives all good otters a bad name cause he robes and slays beasts for fun and sometimes takes them to a slaver, but usually they never make it to a slaver.”

Flea speaks up “Don’t sound like you should of let him get away, maybe look fer him, trust me I will help and who be this group Karth…maybe they can help?”

Moseley shrugs best a bird can, “Wing need healed first then can flies and flies high and soar…and help you. Moseley needs friends…you are now new friends” As a you have no choice tone.

Karth narrows his eyes at the heron and answers the shrew”Mossflower Defenders lead by a badger named Xander Winters, he is supposed to be back by dusk as he had to escort some beast to Redwall Abbey.”

Flea nods “Think they need a good tracker or an extra fighter beast? I could also be a lookout”

Moseley has fallen asleep, rest is good for one to heal and recover after all

Karth nods “I am sure they do, we shall see” He then smiles, rare for him “Glad to have you back at my side Flea. After all this woods is not safe for one so small”

“Hey…I may be small but it’s a falsehood to think me an easy target my friend” The shrew grins.

Karth just smiles as he goes back to his job of watching the bird and keeping the area safe till Xander returns.
