Sad News For Salamanstron-LP LOG

WHO:

Zolomon- Archer, Runner and Sargeant in the LP

Elbio-Archer, Fighter, Ensign  and soon RW Abbey Residential Hare

Donica- Healer and Private in LP (Spoofed by Krisha)

Ciocan- Badger Lord

Silverwing-Messenger and Member of Mosssflower Defenders

Rufus- Gull and Friend to the LP

WHO:

The day was slightly cloudy and cold. It was still winter and even if it was warmer on the western shore than it was most places, there was still some chill to the air, maybe more so this season than past seasons. There was still storm damage to check out in Halyard, there was a report of some sort of damage at the docks but how bad remained to be seen.

On the crater was Zolomon, the Sargeant getting a little fresh air and being somewhat of a lookout, though it was rare to spot any trouble, a ship might sail past once in a while but they always went onwards, likely towards Halyard.

Silverwing chooses now to show up, flying the past week she managed to get to Salamanstron in decent time. Her landing, of course, was not the best and luckily she landed on the far side of the crater away om any hares.

Rufus was also out and he spotted the large bird and yarked warning as he did not know if they were friend or foe.

Elbio had been checking the area where the gull's nest use to be "Well..Rufus, likely best to have a blooming nest else...where..."His eyes widen when he sees "Eagle! Eagle!!!!"Of course his greatest fear, his nightmare become real was clearly here to eat them all as he lost any courage and bolted towards the entry screaming like some horrible fate awaited them all!!

Silverwing puffed up, which likely was not the best thing as it just made her look even bigger"Why hare scream at Silverwing, Silverwing be friendbeast."

An alert happen and soon a couple of hares, weapons drawn came quickly up to the crater and looked at the eagle, keeping their distance as they were unsure what to do.

Zolomon blinked and goes to stop Elbio, "Whoa thar...."He smiled as he saw the eagle and chuckled "Silerwing old...nice ta see ya."He gives a relaxed signal ", she is a friend."He nods to the eagle "Why ya here Silverwing?"

Rufus carefully walks over, his wing was still healing so he was not able to fly "Eagle isa friend to bunnies?"

Elbio gulps as he stops and looks back at Silverwing but is clearly still afraid "But..But.....eagle...lost eagle, no eagles...tried ta kill me, eat me when all I and a couple of others were doing is rescuing  3 bat dibbuns...worse...day...of...my...life!"

Silverwing lowers her head"Silverwing bring...sad news." She doesn't go on to say what the news is as she perns a feather on her wing, then another feather. She studies Eblio"So eagles bad....I is good bird and friendbeast"

Zolomon one ear drops a little "Wot sort of sad news Silverwing? Is the abbey in trouble, dibbuns missing again? Something even worse??"

Rufus puffs up a little and then smooths out his feathers, it's a little harder on the wing that's still in a sort of splint.

Elbio relaxes only a little "I..I can go get his Lordship if..needed" He just wants an excuse to go inside, far FAR from the eagle and yes he would get Ciocan still but the hare would then stay inside as he edges to the entry going back inside.

Silverwing shakes her head "Abbey not in danger....one dibbun is missing, isa captive, has no been found. Silverwing keep look out on way here but no see...mostly quiet...too much snow alla round"

"No need to get me Elbio, what is going on?" Ciocan walked up to his hares and Silverwing, giving a nod "Good to see you..Silverwing was it?"

Rufus goes to sit by Ciocan and yawns, but he is curious about news an eagle might have for them.

Elbio salutes when he sees Ciocan "Your Lordship...the...umm...bird she has news" Yes the eagle is still scary ok.

Zolomon gives a salute to Ciocan as well" Lord C sur....yes, yes Silverwing has news, didn't say wot tis is yet"

Silverwing nods to Ciocan "Yes bring news to keep watch out for what might be a cat, cat last seen with badger cub. Maybe cat has friend, maybe not." She frowns as it seems there is more to tell.

Donica comes on out to the crater, "Hallo all...oh an eagle, wot is going on?"

Zolomon hmmms"Badger cub....de only badger cub I know of is Xandy's son Ozzy, is it him or some other badger cub?" He frowns "So another slaver me guess"

Elbio has mostly relaxed as he listens "She said from Mossflower, umm"He turned to the eagle "Who sent you and can you tell us more, more info can help so we can know wot ta bloody well look for"

Rufus slips inside, it's cold and so much warmer inside.

Ciocan frowns at this news "Yes Silverwing, more info would be good to have. I can have my hares keep an eye out if they come this way, and maybe in a couple of weeks Rufus will be able to fly around and keep an eye from the skies."

Donica speaks "Rufus may be able to fly in a week, his wing seems almost healed now"

ears her throat when it seems it's a bit too quiet" OzWinters be dibbun who taken by badbeast...just one dibbun taken by  cat and so other unknown vermin." The eagle grows quiet now."Other news.......Silverwing bring, not like bring is bad, sad news. Xander Winters was killed by vermin beast who likely same one that has the cub.  Xander Winters...is...is dead."

Zolomon stares at the large bird in disbelief.."    W..wot?" He stutters a little, "w..w...w..ot?! No no...nope no...not Xandy, please not Xandy, he's not allowed to be dead!" He lets the tears fall, He and Xander had literally been friends since they were just barely out of dibbun seasons, yes the hare is a couple seasons older but it doesn't matter, they been friends most of their life! He breaths in and out and makes a fist at his sides "I..I'm gonna...march to Mossflower, find this..MURDERER...fill them so FULL of arrows they will be a pincushion, a pincushion with so many arrows...arrows on top of arrows on top of blooming arrows!!"

Donica gasps and puts a paw to her mouth, she had not know Xander too long but she traveled with him a short while and helped him recover from poisoning when they were hunting down Mistclaw's band.

Elbio ears droop as he frowns, even if he didn't get to know Xander, this is still sad news to hear.

Ciocan tenses up at the news and takes a deep breath, "Sargeant, your going nowhere, is that understood?" A commanding tone in his voice. He walks over to the edge of the crater and places his paws on the ledge as he looks out towards the sea. It takes him a few moments to speak again "Thank you, for this news Silverwing, your welcome to stay a couple of days and rest from your travels. I will be sure to let my hares know to keep an eye out for these two vermin as well as the cub Oz"

Silverwing nods, she seems ok with staying on the crater while she rests, no need to go inside as the gull did.

Zolomon feels the tears "B..but..."He finally nods"Yes...your Lordship" He knows he can't just rush off, but this hurts, it hurts to know his friend was killed and he was not there to help.  He starts to go inside and then just starts crying loudly not really caring who watches him.

Elbio frowns unsure what to do now, he just sort of stands there waiting for some sort of orders.

Donica lets a couple of tears fall down her face and goes on inside.

Ciocan turns, looking at him would show he had been crying silently, he clears his throat "Let's get inside...it's getting cold out here, and it's almost dinner time. Elbio..please have my dinner brought to me, I will..be in my room and I do not want disturbed for the rest of the evening."He lets a frown form"Tomorrow we need to check on storm damage in Halyard...." He lays a paw on Zolomon's shoulder and goes to lead him inside.

Elbio nods, "Of course sur"He heads off to get some dinner for Ciocan.

Zolomon sobs, shivers, and jumps when his shoulder is touched but he allows the Badger Lord to lead him inside, but the hare skips dinner, too depressed to eat, and most likely cries himself to sleep.

Ciocan gets to his own room and sits down, he will eat dinner and morn the loss of his friend. He will still get some sleep for there is still checking on Halyard, and he makes a promise if any news of the traveling cat or the badger cub Oz comes to the Western Shores we will for sure look into it.
