A Dance and Late Night Snack- Redwall LOG

LOG:

Krisha was a little worn out, this being stuck inside was getting to her somewhat. Yes one could go a little ways, to a couple of places in the abbey but still so much snow, the snow was not gonna be gone anytime soon, yes a little of it melted somewhat in the sun, barely any, and the snow sort of hardening in some areas where one could maybe walk on it if they were careful but she was not about to test that theory. She siped her tea and yawned, she still had to get the dibbuns off to bed, and they were being oddly quiet.

Xander walked down the steps and went over to Krisha to kiss her on the cheek and smile"Ello love. You should go to bed early"

Krisha smiles at the kiss"I have to get the dibbuns to bed, then do some chores, then bed."

Xander smiled warmly"I got them to bed a little early, even told a story, the one where Martin The Warrior found an old friend and when Martin The Warrior visited the caves he used to live in. I made sure they had a little water and a candied chestnut. They went to sleep. A couple of novices are cleaning the playroom, and I checked on the visitor we have Esmeray is her name. I might help get a bag of supplies to her friends hut and who knows talk them into staying here for winter but no worries it won't be for maybe 4...maybe 5 days. And that's a maybe if I help I will let you know so you don't worry."

Krisha smiles"Thank you Xander" She listens as he speaks "Maybe someone could just go get this friend of her's. no need to have the two discuss it and would save time.Any idea how close they live to the abbey?"

Xander shakes his head"No, sadly no I didn't ask. She had snowshoes so tis hard to tell. She claimes not too far away"He shrugs. He then reaches out a paw to her and just smiles warmly

Krisha allows him to help her stand"Let me guess, bedtime?" She kisses him, "You are doing so well with your novice training, maybe Benar could make you a Brother in the spring, I could put in a good word for you"

Xander hugs her "Maybe, no need to rush."He smiles"No need for bed right away...dance?"

Krisha is surprised at this "Dance?" She is uncertain "I..don't know, your leg..I don't want to cause you any pain or discomfort."

Xander keeps the smile" You won't, and slow dance. I will be fine and want to dance with the beast I love. I am happy and come spring me, you and our son Oz can go to Brock Hall and just relax. We can have a couple of wall guards come too or me, you and Oz just go off somewhere for a week or two, just us 3..let the Abbot know."

Krisha nods"Yes, maybe Ferravale for a week or. well we can figure it out by then and yes, let's dance"

Xander chuckles, he is happy as he smiles"My lady" He leads them into a slow dance, he smiles as he has been doing a bit better not always having to use the cane a lot. It's just him and her in the Great Hall dancing as the night gets later.

Krisha lets him lead and lays her head on his shoulder and just enjoys this. She is relaxed and smiles happy."You still dance very well my love."

Xander grins a little "Well, yeah. Not everything is messed up . I can still dance with my side messed up and that has not been bothering me as much, it's gotten a little better...maybe that's a good thing, then I have not done much" He keeps dancing slowly.

Krisha nods,"One doesn't have to do much. And if we get that path finished to the kitchen yard, you can use the kiln, course only if Benar isn't using it."

Xander replies "Yeah, maybe make a vase for future spring flowers, maybe a clay jar to keep things in. We have a good deal of plates, cups, and bowls right now."

Krisha nods again"Yes dear that be nice" She is enjoying the dance and the quiet chat, just the two of them.

Xander lets her dance with him, his right leg hurts slightly but he keeps dancing for a few more moments, then he leads her to a table"Be right back" He limps slightly to the kitchens, he balances a tray back to the table and sits down. On the tray are some small apple and cheery tarts, some apple scones, and cucumber mint tea. He also has some little sandwiches of cheese and tomato" I made us a late-night snack"

Krisha frowns a little at the limping but when he returns, a smile"Oh this is lovely dear, thank you. We can eat dinner and then I help you to bed. I saw you limping, please don't do too much "

Xander sighs, he nods"Yes dear....but trust me I am fine. It only hurts a little. I can ret it and we go to bed. Maybe sleep in, umm if allowed?"

Krisha smiles"Fine...half a day off from novice duties but that's all"

Xander nods"Yes Krisha. Now let have our snack."

Krisha agrees and will make sure he gets some rest, maybe a half-day rest be good for her as well.
