A log with the pike from http://forum.rwmuck.org/viewtopic.php?id=383
Yeah I spoofed the pike
Bandit spoofed the martens and the otter
==River==
The pike was circling the waters near the shore. The rainstorm had passed and the pike still had an arrow in his side and tailfin and was not happy about it. Also its breakfast and lunch got away and so that made it more upset, that and it was now evening and still no food to be found.
The sound of laughter could be heard as a boat sailed down the river. It was a medium sized craft with a sail. There were three beasts on the craft. Two of them were martens. A male marten in a yellow tunic kept to rudder while his female counterpart busied herself with rustling through the inner working of the boat. The third, an otter and the original owner of the boat, next to the stairs inside the belly of the ship, bruised and tied up.
"Oh don't give me that look." The fat bellied female thief chuckled as she opened a wine bottle that once belonged to the otter. "You should be thankful. Any other bandits would have gutted you."
"I don't think selling me off to a slave market is kindness..."
"Yes, but you are still ALIVE to complain about it..."
The pike smelled...FOOD. It turned towards the ripples of the water and sank under the water watching the boat from underneath.
"Save some wine for me Lacey." The marten at the rudder laughed.
Lacey however only cringed, "You have poor taste in wine." She complained to the otter but drank it anyway." The wiry otter growled to himself, chewing on a strand of straw.
"I'll remember that the next time I have bandits over for supper," Logan turns his head to his supplies, "Assuming you leave the next group anything to eat..."
The pike dives and then suddenly at full speed goes to crash into the boat from under it, such a blow would cause a hole in the boat and also cause the boat to shake some from the force of the crash.
A chorus of startled yelps fills the air. The beasts down below stare wide eyed as the head of a pike comes crashing through the hull. "What did you do to my ship!" Logan cries.
The martens only shouts in alarm, scrambling to get out of the hold of the ship. She trips as Logan leaps for the exit, and the two struggle to get through the narrow door to safety at the same time.
The pike only crashes onto the side of the boat, it's not letting this meal get away from him. It dives and tries to bite at one of the martens on the boat from behind! The pike is large and very determined to get a meal tonight
The beasts inside the boat are tossed against the inner wall while the beast steering the ship is sent almost over the edge. He catches himself, managing to glance upward in time to see the pikes jaws clamp down over his head. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" he manages to scream.
The pike takes his meal and eats it making a mess of blood in the water, after a short while it seems it's still hungry and goes to look for a 2nd beast for a meal!
By the time the portly marteness reaches the top deck her friend is gone and the boat is half submerged in water. With evening coming upon them it is impossible to see where the pike is.
The bandit squeaks in terror as a paw grabs her rapier from behind, drawing it before she has a chance to react. She turns to find Logan there, freed from his bonds, with the blade pressed against the fluff of her chin. "P-parly?"
"Oh now you want to parlay?" The otter scoffs. "Get off my ship."
"But the pike! It will get me half way to shore!"
"Yeah, and while it's chewing on yer fat tail, I am going to swim to safety."
"Y-you can't be serious! Please! I don't want to die!"
"Sorry, but, I guess I am just not that kind." He kicks the marten in her exposed midriff, sending her flailing into the water while he himself swims in the opposite direction.
If a pike could smile, this one would look creepy and it shows its fangs and wastes no time to get the 2nd martin. Its jaws go to clamp down on its mid-section and drag it under to finish it off and unlike the marten the pike breaths under water. It will wait and then have a very good meal, with all this fine meat it shouldn't be brothering any beast for a few days at least.
The glutton lets out a silent scream as the fishes teeth sink deep into her fleshy stomach. Her struggles however are momentary at best.
The otter meanwhile continues swimming for shore, letting the rapier drop to the bottom of the river to swim faster. Logan reaches the shore, tired, wet and damp.
The otter breaths deeply, picking himself up and dusting himself off. "I hope you choke on her, ye sliming blighter!" He shouts back at the river.
Turning the otter pauses as he bumps into a tree. He steps back, rubbing his head. His eyes narrow on the darkness. This tree is rather...
...Scaly.
Logan looks up, eyes wide into the startled face of an adder. "Oh." Says Tulip, "Hai there."
"Ah... craaaaaaaaa-"
/CHOMP/
The pike won't miss the otter, it has other beasts to eat soon or so it hopes........the waters are not safe here
