One Missing...Two Missing? And What Now!-Redwall LOG

Krisha was left in charge of this, so she was getting some helpers. She had five novices who looked like they rather just stay inside. "Alright we need to find the dibbun sparrow, the sparra call them eggchicks. this is a dibbun. It NEEDS found and NOW" She was in command of this task so they best listen.

Chestnut flew over and landed on the space cleared"Badgermotherworm dooa good, tryums find my eggchick. We Sparra lookum realgoodyesum"

Xander came slowly over to Krisha and frowned when he saw just who they were helping..."Ummm...lo0ve...I think I likely won't be good at this, ya know my leg and all"

Velm chuckled "Let me guess ya dislike birds?" The hare was here in case a healer was needed.

Oz was just, he was here watching and giggled every time the sparrow talked, it seemed the speech was funny to him.

Krisha sighs "Xander..why?" She then frowns as she does remember him mentioning how the Sparra attacked him one day "Then just...sit then" She  went back to the others helping"Ok, let's see how to do this."She frowns as she was so unsure and looked at Chestnut "Your highness Sparraqueen, any idea where we should start?"

Chestnut was  focused on Xander as she puffed up a little "Murderstripe..."Oh boy, the name is remembered how nice. She flaps up and in his face looking ready to peck the badger "Whatumms is doa here!" And then likely some sort of cuss word in bird is said. A couple of other Sparra come over ready to defend if need be.

Xander eeped and put his paws in the air and tumbled backward, luckily onto some soft snow but it still hurt a little. "It's...Xander not..."He frowns "And I have done nothing, I keep my promise not ate wood pigeon since..ya know or any other bird and yes it was  wood pigeon though you birds likely don't believe me" He takes a calming breath, best not get angry as that could make this worse, he frowns and another deep breath "I am...sorry...ok, look I am even trying ta help find your eggchick or an idea where he...she could be"

Velm just, he just stands there and even backs up a little, he has no clue what is going on or what this even means but he is clearly staying out of the way.

Oz tilts his head and frowns now "Birdie is mad birdie..whys?"

Krisha looks ready to slap someone and has to get a deep breath herself and everyone is staring. She snorts "Back to looking for the dibbun NOW!" She then goes to grab Xander by the ear and drag him inside like he was some naughty dibbun."What in the SEASONS!"  And whatever was going on in the Great Hall comes to a full stop ya!

Chestnut just puffs out and follows them. She lands on a chair and watches the two badgers "Is whatumm old king say call him...ewhyums still here in Redhome?"

Xander tenses up, and drops his cane as he is pulled inside "My ear...let go ouch...Krisha good grief"

Krisha growls a little and slaps Xander across the face, yes she slaps him ok and she cares not right now who in front of. A deep breath and she speaks "Do not good grief me, now SIT!" We can chat later on that horrible name and this issue will be fixed but first I have an innocent child to find" She storms off.

Gorvenalus comes down the steps and looks ready to go back up them and frowns, he looks at Xander as if confused.

Benar was sitting in his chair trying to take a nap and is rudely awaken, he looks just as confused and clears his  throat" Name..what name Novice Xander, what is going on?"

Velm peeks in and quickly backs away, he looks to the others outside "Right  chaps and lasses, we find this umm...small bird any luck?"

A couple of voles shake their head no. A squirrel frowns "Nothing sorry"

Anil is the missing eggchick it seems and has been in a sort of hollowed out area of the snow. Luckily he doesn't seem injured, and it's a wonder he is still alive but the little snow cave seems helped. He has gotten free slowly and found a window by the kitchens to pres against...nice warm window.

Oz just stays outside and looks at the hare, he frowns and goes to dig a little along the abbey building. Now this is fun and he didn't get to go into the other tunnel, he shakes his head as some snow falls on his head from a window...the kitchen window. He sniffs and giggles "Cookies...."He then sees.."Birdie!!!"

Chestnut is unsure what to do right now, but she does laugh at the fact Xander is slapped.."Isumm funny yesum is"

Xander rubs his sore cheek and sort of loses his balance and sits on the floor. He frowns at Benar and Gorvenalus and sighs"The....sparrows they....look it happen weeks...months ago even. I mentioned how they clawed my head and back" He still has missing fur there and scars which will likely stay, though they did fade by 1/3 at least, but likely the rest are there to stay. "I have keep a promise and it...it was the older  one and he had some sparra with him but not, not her"He points to Chestnut"She was not  thar"

Krisha mutters and shakes her head, "They called him...Murderstripe and it seems he never told me of this nickname, this needs fixed somehow" She looks at the Queen Sparra and calmly speaks as she gives a small bow "Issa tharum any ways to have badgerworm fix this oh great Queen Chestnut. Heum a good beast and has done well to keepa promise. Badgerworm has changedyes, not a warriorworm even nomore"

Benar lets Krisha handle this but stays close in case he is needed.

Gorvenalus sits down in a chair, yeah let the Badger Mother handle it.

Meanwhile outside Velm has noticed someone isn't beside him but assumes the badger dibbun went inside. He leads some beasts to hunt..opposite direction where Oz and Anil are!

Anil tumbles from the window as he looks at Oz, he speaks "Little wormfriend! " He then whimpers, ok so maybe a talon is a little swollen and he does have a cut on his wing, luckily not broken but he likely scraped it on something.

Oz smiles "Hi Hi Hi....fri...fir...."He giggles "Play, "He is then concerned "Have ouchie?"

Chestnut stares at Xander and taps her talon, clack her beak. She then speaks to Krisha "Old kinga Quickbeck no likea this Abbeyworm...4-5 other Sparra leave...nodue to Badgerworm, due to Argue over how safe Redhome is from verminworms, seeun slaveworms, seeua ratworms,bad ratworms and so leaves. Quickbeck too old to leave, he stay...Queen Chestnut stay asum does 15 other Sparra, Redhome lofts is Sparra home  foralltime. Have 4 eggchick counta Anil who needum found quickfast" She looks at Xander and looks deep in thought "Queen Chestnut seeum and geta back to you" She may be willing to forgive, which is likely good but she also seems pleased with herself  to make the badger wait. "Nowum back find eggchick...please"

Xander stays calm and leets her talk but he has yet to really learn the language and frowns some as he tries to figure it out. He decides to speak "I am...sorry. I am..I am not saying we be friends but..maybe to let go the past. I know...I know eating wood pidgion was bad and again I am deeply truly sorry great queen and I have since never have ate wood pigeon again and never will. I am  kind of unsure of fish now too...wot can I do?"He gets an idea "Maybe make you something...bread? A  dozen scones? I could even make  some with nuts and sunflower seeds, maybe some ..well something"

Krisha decides to go check on how the hunt for the baby sparrow is going and looks around, a deep frown forms "Oz?' Oh no, where is "OZ!!"

Velm's ears flatten, someone else is missing?" This bally well can't be good" And it's starting to get a little dark now as dusk falls. Dark also means colder.

Benar frowns hearing the yell as well,"Someone  should check on Krisha"

Gorvenalus right away is going outside to see what happen "Krisha what is it, what happen?"

Chestnut just listens to Xander and then chirps loudly at the loud voice of the other badger and looks towards the door,unsure of what is outside, she will stay here for now .

Oz meanwhile is with Anil and tries to slowly lead him to the main door to go inside "Mommy fix ouchie yeah."

Anil slowly follows but it hurt to move so he stays where he is after a few feet and shivers.

Xander gets up so quick he about falls on his face, he keeps his balance and holds the doorframe.He looks at Krisha "Wot is it, what happen to Oz, is he ok?" He glances around, there is no Oz and now he is worried. He doesn't care if he doesn't have his cane he is scanning for Oz, he frowns till he sees a small..tunnel? And hugs Krisha "I...will be right back...stay with Brother Gorvenalus love"

Krisha is truly worried, she just nods as she looks at the beaver "Oz is..is missing, I don't...there is too much...snow...what if he.." No she will not use the die word.

Chestnut flies out and decides right away she is  gonna hunt too "I helpum find little badgerworm quickafast"

Oz smiles when he sees Xander "Daddy daddy!" He runs, trips quice on ice and points to the small sparrow "He have ouchie daddy"

Anil looks up and frowns, shivering a little and is too tired to move if this is a possible danger.

Xander hugs Oz close and looks"The...missing.." He lets Oz get on his shoulder and slowly useing the wall of the main abbey building gets to the  baby bird and scoops it up carefully and makes his way back, he falls onto his bottom once but keeps the bird in his cloak to keep warm.Once inside he sits by the wall and shows the baby sparrow.

Krisha gasps and gets Oz off Xanber's shoulder "Do not EVER wander off again!" She hugs him close and sees "You found Anil..."

Chestnut flies over to where Anil is and checks him over, she stares at Xander "Youum helpa find my eggchick.....youum ARE good badgerworm beast. Queen Chestnut thankum you ....and forgive for past" She then tells Anil in sparrow basically how dare he wander off and what was he thinking and how he could of died, the usual from a mother to a child.

Gorvenalus comes to look at Anil "Let's see......a small cut should heal....swollen talon but...no likely spang not broken, rest and warmth in ou infirm and he will be good as new, and some good food"

Oz clings onto Krisha but frowns, yep he is in trouble too, and seems so is his new friend.

Krisha stands and takes Oz inside "We are having a  chat right now young man...."

Xander just watches Krisha past and a light chuckle, he smiles at Chestnut "Your welcome..greet Queen Sparra"

Benar smiles as he walks over and pats Xander on the shoulder, "You did well...now...let's get  inside everyone, dinner is half an hour late cause of all this"

Velm offers Xander his cane and helps him up as everyone heads inside for dinner.

Krisha meanwhile is a little late to dinner but comes down after a little while, she is a bit calmer as she sits down to eat.  Soon it would be time for sleep, also she needed to talk to Lacota on  Snow Badger treats soon and debate on whether her son gets to come to the special event or not....only time will tell.
