****** A little before the blizzard role play. I spoofed the hare maid Joanna and her father ******
WHO:
Joanna- Former Private, Runner in the LP
Velm- Lt. and Healer in the LP
LOG:
The trip was fairly free of any bad events, for this Velm was happy. They had taken the river maybe 3/4 of the way and then started south into the woods, the path would lead to a farm along a small stream, that was slightly northwest of the old church south of the abbey. There was a slight issue with some bothersome weasels but once the two vermin learned this was a Long Patrol Lt., well they backed off fairly quickly.
Joanna smiled as she looked ahead "We are close oh we are close Lt. Velm I am so glad."
Velm nodded "Yes, close is good it's been a rather long trip, but a good one none the less.
At the small cabin an old hare sat outside, though upon seeing Joanna he gets up and jogs towards them showing old age will not always slow a beast down "Joanna!" He seemed very glad to see her.
"Father!" Joanna smiled wide and hugs him. Also she is greeted by a sister, another sister and her grandmother all look very happy to see the hare maid is here and safe.
Velm stands off to the side and waits, as it's not polite to just walk off,one should always wait.
Joanna father frowns slightly" Where is Metch....."He is then hugging his daughter as she explains what happen, she and he talk, and then she smiles "Oh this is Lt. Velm he got me safely back home father."
Velm nods "Of course I did his Lordship did not want you to travel alone. Traveling alone that far could be dangerous. I was to bring you safe to your family and then get to the abbey of Redwall"
The male hare smiles "Thank you kindly for getting my daughter here safe.I am glad she is here in Mossflower and the abbey is a good place to visit"
Velm replies "Yes I will stay till spring most likely thnen head back..I have"He pauses and nods "Things to tend to" He doesn't go into detail and leaves it at that. before a salute and then a frown, a small nervous chuckle "I..don't know the way to the abbey..."
Joanna chuckles "Its easy follow the stream east and you're be near a path to lead you to the road, your be close to an old church that's south, the abbey is half a day north from there so your maybe a ...well less than a day away but likely you can travel at a good pace and make it less time."
Velm just nods, "Yes of course...alright then" He heads off the way told and follows the stream, he finds the path and is soon on a road. He hmmms and looks south to see the church"Well that's old...."He then looks north and sighs "Trust I suppose....right...maybe a bit of a rest"It was dark now so he went a short way into the woods by the creek to set up a camp.He hmmms at the wind, it was cold but he shrugged it off...it was winter after all.He would proceed in the morning.
Meanwhile, at the small farm the old hare frowned as he studies the skies and shook his head "My old bones say a storm is a brewing."
Joana looks slightly concerned "I am sure it will be fine father, your use to storms and it usually snows in like 3-4 weeks from now, likely juist a cold rain"
The older hare shook his head "Tis not a cold rain daughter, it may start out as that...no...no my old bones ache with pain and never lie, I hope that Lt. gets to the abbey before anything bad comes......I have a feeling by tomorrow evening...only a fool be out and about."His small farm was ready, he even had a little barn, but there was always other things to make double sure of as he headed inside.
