Stop The Wedding!

===This happens right before the Summer Feast ICLY so like that morning or maybe night before ICLY..so Thursday night July 6th or Friday Morning July 7th ====

RW Abbey: Marriage Room

The marriage room is lined with benches on each side. A gap between the sets leads up towards the wooden pulpit, and on it lies an open book in old script. Stained glass windows spill light over the benches and stone floor, coloring them with the various designs that are set forever frozen on the glass.

It was decided a wedding before the Summer Feast and the couple wanted to use the marriage room. The room was decorated in flowers and ribbons along the chairs and in front a small archway with vines and flowers of blue and yellow around it, this is where the Abbot stood ready to do the wedding for the two mice, Caleb and Cynthia.

Caleb stood up front and waited, waiting was always hard but this wasn’t too bad, he had a simple tunic on with a nice blue vest, he watches the doorway and tried to not be nervous or least too nervous.

The wedding music played, a signal for the bride to be to start walking forwards. All looked to the doorway now as some smiled, a couple cried and some were just quiet and curious.

Xander watched quietly, watching a wedding is interesting as he never really watched one before.

Cynthia walked forwards slowly and in a nice off white dress. Nothing fancy, it was simple and she has some roses in her headfur as she made her way up front and at the side of Caleb and smiled at him before looking towards the Abbot.

Benar smiles and clears his throat “Friends we are gathered here today for the wedding of two of our own…Caleb and Cynthia. Caleb..Cynthia..please face me”

Caleb smiles at Cynthia and then faces the abbot quietly.

Xander leans back in his chair to quietly watch.

Oz is here , the dibbuns are with Sister Ginny as it was uncertain if they would behave well at the wedding or not. He will fetch them when it’s time for the feast.

Cynthia is already looking towards the abbot, so she is ready.

Benar nods to the two mice and smiles “ You both have decided to wed and share your lives together, forever, this is an important step in one’s life. “ He looks first to Caleb.” Caleb do you take Cynthia to be your wife, to have and to hold in sickness and in health, in the good times and bad times, for rich or poor for as long as you both shall live?”

“I do” Says Caleb with a smile.

Benar nods and turns to Cynthia” Cynthia do you take Caleb to be your husband, to have and to hold and in sickness and in health, in good and bad times , for rich or poor as long as you both shall live”

“Yes. I do with all my heart” Cynthia says.

Benar smiles again “Is there any vows you made yourselves you would like to say now?”

Caleb nods “Well..I..I would like to speak.” He looks at his soon to be wife “Cynthia, I have never stopped loving you, even when you went away for a while. I love you with all my heart and always will no matter what. Your personality makes you….well you and no one else can ever be you. I never want to be apart from you and hope I never ever have to be”

Cynthia smiles, she is not sure what to say…own words? She wasn’t totally ready but speaks, “I love you also Caleb and deep down always knew I did…from the first time I spent time with you, even that day I climbed down the abbey wall and you followed me…I knew then I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Benar nods “Are there rings to exchange?” He waits on a reply

Caleb nods and gets out the rings, he has a fellow novice who held them for him.

Benar waits and then nods “Both take a ring and repeat after me…with this ring I thee wed”

Cynthia smiles and takes a ring and goes to slip it on Caleb’s finger “With this ring I thee wed”

Caleb gets his ring for Cynthia and places it on her finger as he as he says the words “With this ring I thee wed…”

Benar smiles and goes to join their paws “Unless some beast sees a reason why these two should not be wed…..”He smiles as he pauses and then starts to finish the wedding with the last couple sentences yet to be said..

“STOP THE WEDDING!!!” The voice is loud and it clearly would get any beast’s attention. And then in walks….Drake..with a broken paw wrapped up, and a smirk on his face “You see…she is engaged ta me, yes that’s right” He pulls out an engagement ring and waves it “Took some time but, and I forgive her for this…after she punched me, I woke and found it after a good 4 hours of looking and I knew she was returning here see in some..I am sure..fit of moodiness, she clearly wasn’t thinking and claimed it was over between us but…I am sure it wasn’t true.” He walks to the front “So I say she has no right to marry this…Caleb is it? I know Mr. Abbot..sir…wed me and Cynthia instead so ya know, that way we can still have a wedding!!”

Xander right away is standing and walking towards the mouse Drake, he is not asking or giving a warning he just goes to grab the back of the mouse’s cloak or tunic collar.

Cynthia gasps and starts to shake her head as tears go down her face. “Leave Drake…I.HATE YOU!!!”

Caleb blinks as this is not what is supposed to happen, he then stands in front of Cynthia in a protective manner and glares at Drake, “Stay…away from her!”

Benar stands there in shock and then takes a deep breath “What is the meaning of this, who are you to interrupt this wedding?” He looks up to see Xander marching forwards. ”Xander…kindly escort this mouse outside our gates please”

Oz for now stays seated, if he needs to get up he will. A couple beasts gasp, one agrees he should leave, a novice said yeah this Drake stinks.

Drake shakes his head” I will not leav------put me down you stripe dog!” He goes to kick at the badger as he feels himself lifted up.”Unhand me!”

Xander replies “With pleasure” He then gets a tighter grip and goes to carry Drake on to the gates where he will not so gently toss him to the dirt road and warn him to not reenter and have guards not let him reenter either, and then head back inside.

Cynthia feels the tears go down her face and just stands there, then she suddenly runs from the room and across the hall into the old office where she lets out her sobs.

Caleb frowns “Cynthia…wait come back!”

Oz frowns and starts to go follow.

Benar walks to the hallway, “I will check on her, every beast stay here till I return.” He then makes his way to the office and peeks inside “Cynthia are you in here ?”

Cynthia is here, crying and looks up from a dusty chair, “I..I’m sorry, I am so sorry I should of mentioned Drake, he threaten me a few days ago and said how it wasn’t over, but I never thought he would come into the..the abbey and surely not ..r..ruin my wedding”

Benar lays a paw on her shoulder "Xander has escorted him out, we can finish the wedding if you would like…I leave it up to you. I only ask one important question….do you love Caleb?”

Cynthia blinks “Of..of course I do, he is one of the most important beasts in my life. I want to spend the rest of my days with him”

Benar nods as he smiles “Let us go back before they worry too much and then I have a Summer Feast to finish getting together”

Cynthia lets the Abbot lead her back to the Marriage Room and once more is beside Caleb.

Caleb looks at her with concern, He hugs her and steps back.

Xander returns, on his own, he stays by the doorway .

Benar walks back to the front “Now..where was I…oh yeas” He smiles and he takes Caleb’s paw and then Cynthia’s paw and joins them together as he smiles “Caleb….Cynthia….I now pronounce you husband and wife…please do kiss the groom Cynthia”

Cynthia is not waiting on response and kisses Caleb and smiles.

Caleb tilts his head…isn’t it kiss the bride, but then he is kissed and returns one of his own “Love you Cynthia”

Cynthia smiles “Love you also Caleb”

Benar smiles “Let us celebrate this marriage. Take some time to congratulate the couple as I go check on some things.” He excuses himself and heads over to Xander as he takes off his glasses and cleans them and as he places them back on his snout he says “Please tell me our rude guest was taken outside”

Xander nods “Yes sir, he was and he was told to not come back in either, hopefully he stays away but I am not sure as….he seems a trouble maker. He upset Cynthia…more than once, when she was in trouble on the western shore…he left and had said he was glad of it, glad she was almost a slave to some rats and he tried to kidnap her a few days ago and would of if it wasn’t for Uncle Oz…Uncle Oz broke Drake’s paw…but I am sorry Drake deserved it.’

Benar listens “ This Drake does seem like trouble, but he will not be allowed back inside. Now let us get ready for the Summer Feast and we have a new marriage, that of Cynthia and Caleb, to celebrate….let us get our minds off this…Drake and get our minds on more happy events.” With that he heads on downstairs.

DoraRose would've been sitting there, crying a little, and LilyMoore would've been there, looking pensive but trying to be happy for her twin. They both would've gotten up to try and stop Drake, but then sat back down when Xander handled him. And they would've clapped at the end and then stayed with the newlyweds until the feast was ready, with Dora leaving a little early to help with the Dibbuns.

This is an interesting and good RP! Thanks for posting it! Sorry I couldn't've been there to RP it with y'all. Hope to RP soon!
