~Characters~
-Leon, Master Healer of Redwall
-Yellowrose, Sister of Ironwood
~WHEN LAST WE LEFT OUR HEROES~
It's been over a month since the first battle The Sparra Civil War ended. Duo to the damage to the loft, the pro-Redwall sparrows have come down to live in Redwall for a while. They have not returned to the loft, so one can only assume that it has yet to be fixed. Ironwood, temporary leader of the pro-Redwall sparrows, have ordered a contingent of the sparra to fly out and collects many allies as they can so that when the next battle comes, they will be ready.
No one knows when the next battle will be.
Thus is the sparrow civil war...

Leon is relaxing by the pond, one of his few times taking a swim and being under the water, today he has made it to almost 6 minutes before needing to take a breath and coughs a little as he surfaces and looks around.
On the shore is Yellowrose, the sparrow maiden, staring perplexedly at an open book sitting at her feet.
Leon looks over at the sparrow, not many see birds reading books, he dives into the water, this time he stays 6 minutes’ and 2 seconds before resurfacing and coughing some once on shore. He chuckles a little as he mutters “New time.”
The sparrow maid looks up, “Greetings greatest healerworm,” says she, “Meum, attempting to uh...” she looks up trying to remember the word, “read.” Her brow furrows as she looks back to the book, “‘Tis hard.”
Leon walks over “Reading can be hard but once you learn it’s a very good tool to have in life, most in the abbey read, some can’t but also some that can’t are learning.”
“I see...” Says the yellow sparrow nodding slowly.
Leon offers a smile “Maybe one of the ones who help in library or a teacher can help you learn, hopefully here soon we will have a new recorder”
“Recorder?” asks the sparra confusedly, “Be that a beast who fixes ropes?”
Leon says, “They work in the library and keep record of events at the abbey, they are like the main beast in the library and they also know a lot of history”
“So theyum be like the greatest storyteller, but they tell history that others can read instead of hear?” ponders the sparrow maid, “Is that right?”
Leon says, “Well they can tell stories of the past yes or have beasts read it, some look up old abbey logs, like what happen with that Quade was written down, a long long time ago Martin the Warrior info was written down for us all to read or have another read to us”
“The recorder’s job,” says the sparrow maid slowly, “is to help others read about the past?”
Leon says, “It’s one of the jobs, there is a beast here that may become Recorder soon. We had one but sadly she was killed by Quade but another beast has written down some logs and caught us up on history and has even helped us learn of other lands”
“Oh, I see,” says the maiden looking a little disappointed at this knowledge.
Leon asks, “You seem upset, why is this?”
“Upset?” says the sparrow, “Meum not upset! Why be upset?”
Leon nods “Oh you sounded upset. But our past Recorder was Sister Zinnia....before that some hare, forgot his name...begun with an H maybe I wasn’t here then so don’t know. But when we do get the new one they can teach reading also and in fact they do help the younger ones and novice learn to read and learn history as well”
As the healer is talking, for some strange reason, the sparrow maid starts to look more and more irritated. “That be great,” says she in a tone none too happy.
Leon studies the sparrow and starts to ask something when a novice comes over "Ummm… novice Al slammed his paw in a door." The healer sighs and excuses himself and heads inside
The sparrow maid gives a sigh of relief as the master healer leaves and turns back to her book, her face a picture of disappointment.
