SCENE: Redwall Abbey pond.
CHARACTERS: Leon, a male mouse. LilyMoore, a female mouse; Butterclaw, a male sparrow.
LOG:
Leon sit down by the pond, he needed a day off and got one to just relax and try and enjoy the day. It was sunny today with no clouds, which was good.
LilyMoore comes walking from the orchard, a troubled look on her face. Butterclaw the Sparra is twittering and chattering at her in frantic tones. They have yet to see the Master Healer.
Leon catches the sound of the sparrow and glances over "Hello" He says quietly.
LilyMoore looks over at her father and says, "Daddy, did you hear that an Order member went up to Warbeak loft and got attacked while he was trying to help the wounded?" Butterclaw scratches the back of his neck. He knows who it was, but he was planning on not telling the mousemaid.....
Leon blinks and frowns as he looks at the pond, he rather not be reminded of that
LilyMoore sits down beside her father. "And now there's a civil war thing going on and Butterclaw won't tell me more about it!" The sparrow puffs up a little. "Youm would goclimb up there and get murderedkilled! Youm recklesscrazy!!" The mousemaid pouts. "No'm not...."
Leon frowns as he speaks finally "Its dangerous up there and way....way high up there, and the roof is slippery, one could fall to their death and die" Gee isn't that what death does? He shivers a little remembering almost hitting the ground and feeling talons grab him, he still has faint marks on his ankle cause of it, heck maybe Butterclaw caught him he has no clue, he passed out, awoke and passed out again from fear of high places.
LilyMoore looks over at the Master Healer. "Well, yeah, death results in beasts dying.....hey, you okay, Dad? You look......nervous." Butterclaw didn't catch the mouse when he fell, but he was there, and he hasn't told a soul, and now he's nibbling at a feather, nervous for what Lily will do when she finds out.
Leon frowns "I...no I am not ok...I...I gotta go...umms do stuff" He stands and walks off...well that went well.
So Lily is puzzled and is peppering her Sparra friend with questions. He ends up flying into a tree so she can't hit him. He refuses to tell her what's going on...
