Patch is still here, looking annoyed and bored as he shoos away a large stoat"Just go Otis...you and Ogg know what ta do."He gets a nod and then the stoat walks out to where ever he is going as the rat sighs.

Xander walks over slowly, having been in here a couple days himself,he left earlier just to come back now and heads over to Patch'Hey..Patch, ya...is it ok to talk?"

Patch groans and sits up"What is it ya want now stripy? Look if tis about the tavern talk ta Ottis and Ogg...they can make ales, and help ya double check orders and wot not.I am sort of stuck here few more days....stupid wildcat hope he is found and ate by chiefie's snake"

Xander frowns "Its...about the tavern but I need to talk to you, please Patch....by the way,the fight you saved me..why?I...thought ya hated me?"

Patch is quiet as he crosses his arms over his chest and finally"I don't...hate ya and ya have like a mate and a kid on de way, ya be needed.Also the wildcat had a hidden weapons, thar is no weapons in de fighting pit tis like punching, wreseling....maybe claws but still...and first ta bleed...loses.In de whole time the new tavern been up only one other time did a weapon get taken in and..it was two ferrets...and one ferret got killed,de other ran off...before that Marek always made sure beasts obey de rules and so do I.."

Xander nods "Thank you Patch...look I am sorry for being moody and grumpy, hardly being around but you have taken care of the tavern fairly well and you have helpers too"

Patch nods "Course I do....a couple bouncers, tavern workers...if ya need a list I can freaking make one Stripy ok...and.."He seems to have a hard time but the words do come "I'm..sorry too...you had good reason to be away and I can't expect ya to be always 'ere."

Xander smiles,"Your forgiven Patch.I will likely help for the next 3-4 days, hopefully that wildcat stays gone but with the town guard on alert I am sure he will."He frowns "He has Minsc now, and seems to , for the morment, be in the GOUSIM camp, Log-A-Log is not happy about that."He frowns "Also..Nardo..."

Patch groans "Wot de he do now? I mean ok de guy is a great healer...draws plants very well detailed too,"He hmms "Come to think of it, not seen him since day before yesterday,wherehe go..de abbey,I know he is copying de book for that old..."He clears his throat "For Angela"

Xander frowns "The wildcat killed him...Nardo is dead."

Patch takes in this info and blinks "Ok....now THAT is seriously a death wish for that wildcat jerkface, it's like de guy is trying to be snakefood, like tis his dream to one day live inside of Basil's stomach for the rest of his life"

Xander starts to say something and decides just sigh,"Anyways....I am sure he is being looked for, but I didn't come to talk about snakes, it was to check on you,update you on some current events and ...something importnt has come up"

Patch rolls his eyes"I seriously dought tis important to me..no one thinks something tis is important to me"

Xander says, "Well..this is.I been doing a lot of thinking and some change needs to happen involving the tavern.And it's...a major change, well sort of major..not much would realy change too much, if really at all...well maybe"

Patch looks at the badger now and snorts "Oh great...wonderful..changes..what delightful changes is that? Let me guess no fighting pit? Maybe no weapons? And why do this now...your annoying ya know that stripy, annoying"

Xander nods "I know I can be annoying at times.You can be as well ya know" He is calm as he speaks and pulls out a scroll "But as I said this change...needed to happen, after a lot of thought..it has...you just need to sign this, I...already did"

Patch arches an eyebrow and reads the scroll, yes he can read duhhh...he tilts his head and reads it over a 2nd time and looks at Xander not saying anything right away.

Xander stays seated "You do a lot at the tavern, you have taken good care of it and have prooved to me you care about it.Your very good at making ale, heck maybe you can teach me to make ale, only ale I can make is that tea/ale mix Uncle Zee liked so much.I dont know who Ogg and Otis is but I know your not on to have just any beast work at the tavern, should of told me first but...thats ok,tis fine.I trust you"

Patch looks ready to cry and scoots it away "I...I have treated ya like crap de past few weeks and ya go and do...this?!"He calms, no he isnt angery its more a..what the heck why sort of thing"I told ya I hated ya..I freaking almost killed ya once when I was angery and threw a dagger at de door and ya open it to get it in ya shoulder. I called ya..."Ok the dreaded badger name.."Once..I been a..jerk and ya...why????"

Xander listens "You had a right to be mad, but it is because you...in your odd way...care, you thought I was abandoning you.I am sorry for that. I do plan to spend more time with Krisha at the abbey, less time around here..I..I need to be thar for Krisha and our child soon. I love her. But I do need to make sure the Tavern is....ok as well. That it's taken care of by some beast who..will not let anything happen to it, will respect and keep the rules, knows the ins and outs...does ther best to get along with beasts, and I know..deep down you wouldnt let harm come to say an abbey beast if they stoped by, or any other possible woodlander..you respect the abbey and its allies and I am glad fer that"

Patch sits there, he nods slowly "I...don't know what to...say Stripy..I'm sorry..I am glad you forgive me and..yeah family is important...wish I still had family but I dont...and have so few friends..true ones that I can count on one paw but "He smiles, a trye honest smile "Your one of those few true friends stripy...ya are"

Xander pats Patch on the shoulder gently"Your my friend too Patch. And as i said I am gonna bearound a few days then got to get back to the abbey, if that wildcat is still around I will be careful trust me. I am not even going off to help find Minsc, not fully able to fight to the best I can with my back and head healing and just the whole that wildcat likely has some special dagger waiting for me or something...I can't risk some..mess up or something he says angering me and sliping up and..ending up dead.I trust Log-A-Log on what he is soing and he knows he can get Blisa or Matilda's help if needed" He sighs in worry "I just hope Minsc is...ok and no other beast is hurt...or least no one else is killed unless its that wildcat of course"

Patch nods, he oddly hugs the badger and looks at the scroll, he signs it and lays the quill pen down."Thar..so..now wot?"

Xander looks at the scroll and nods "You put this somewhere safe"He smiles "Since your the tavern's new owner . "

Patch chuckles and then"Wait..."He smirks "You still wanna work thar...sometimes so that means..I'm.."He grins "Your boss?"

Xander chuckles "Suppose so...but as I said after this week I wont be around much at all....I do have Krisha and our dibbun when he..she comes."

Patch nods "I will...let ya keep your room upstairs not to worry Stripy"He offers a smile "But if your...gonna work today ya best shoo and go to work"He grins "Cause ya know I could fire or or something"Not that he would,but he could still...he has the power now.

Xander smiles "Sure thing"He stands and walks to the door"Boss..."He chuckles and waves as he heads to the tavern"I'll be back later"
Patch nods as he waves,he tucks the scroll into his pocket and lays back down.A smile and a yawn and he drifts off to sleep.
