A Couple Days Off? Let's Go To Ferrvale!-Redwall/Ferravale Log

Krisha-Mother Krisha, Badgermother of Redwall Abbey

Ginny-Sister Ginney, Sister in Redwall Abbey and helps with the dibbuns

Fero- Blacksmith  in Ferravale

Krisha walks into Ferravale and smiles , though is a little worried "You sure its good to stay away a couple days, maybe a day or maybe I should of stayed at the abbey after all."

Sister Ginny looks around, amazed "Wow...the village is huge, well not too huge and no no a day off was truly needed, Oz rarely took one and when he did I usually was the main one in charge of the dibbuns...is this what a day off feels like?" Yeah she has NEVER had a true day off before at all.
   
Ferro nods "All will be fine Krisha, you jusssssssssst relax, we can ssssssshop the market, ssssssssssssee the tavern, they have pond here asssssssssssss well"   

Texo was just getting out of his office and stops when he sees the badger,and the other two beast "Oh...my..visitors, I say hello there and good day...it is a good day I think anyways, hope it is for you.Oh I am Texo architect of Ferravale I helped with the Bell Tower and the tavern, and the Defender base and am in the process of making sure a back wall gate is fixed"   

Krisha chuckles at Sister Ginny and smiles "Mother Krisha and just a couple days, sort of needed a couple days off and away from the abbey so came here with father"   

Sister Ginny is too busy looking around, she is a hedgehog around middle seasons now and smiles "Do they have a bakery, that would be nice to visit and a tavern may be as well. So many beasts and smells.."She hmms not all smells are good, some are though.   

Ferro says, "Hello Texo and the day isssssssssss nice yessssssss."   

Texo nods and ohs, "Wait Krisha Winters...yes and I heard what happen to Oz, I am sorry he was a good beast, he was in Ferravale once I believe, his uncle Zee Winters...oh yes I remember Zee Winters, he was the one that talked me into living here and helped me get a job and a home and was a true friend. I was sad when he went to the dark forest, if it was not for him...I likely be dead or, well who knows what"   

Krisha nods "The last 3-4 weeks have been a little stressful. I also lost my daughter...a couple days ago...and Xander has been really...stressed, he was in a fight and ..well wish he take time to relax but he is not with me, told him needed a break but without him, I just hope he..don't know..lets someone talk to him, talking helps a lot and its not good to hold in one's feelings"   

Sister Ginny nods, listening some but seems more focused on the village and all around her.She may even be a little jumpy but also has the curiosity of a dibbun right now.   

Ferro fronws "Yesssss I alssssso hope Xander talksssss with, well sssssssomeone, but we will let him deal with that and we foccussssssss on some time off, me asssssss well"   

Texo nods and smiles "Time off? Like a mini couple day vacation? I could give a tour of the village and there is the blacksmith, a brewery and the market place has varies things set up outside from flowers sold to fruits and veggies and even some odds and ends, even fish and one merchant stops by with things from far off lands, we do have a new bakery..come we can have some food at the tavern and then a tour, maybe bakery at lunch and I am unsure of dinner"   

Krisha smiles "I am hungry, we can go to the tavern"   

Sister Ginny nods "Yes..but what sort of food do they have?" She looks around a little tense but is starting to relax some now.   

Ferro hmmms "Different things to eat and drink, Patch is usuallly in charge when Xander isssssss away, Xander owns it though and it is a bit lessssssssss...umm.." How to say it, less bones and sckulls.."Less intense..its nice"   

Texo nods "And slightly large, there is still a fighting pit but we can sit way on the other side from it..so yeah food and the tour"He smiles, he gets to have a tour, this excites him as he missed being able to do this when the abbot and the others were here.   

Krisha nods and makes sure Sister Ginny and Ferro go with her and Texo into the Tavern.

Texo grins "This is Redthorn tavern then may of known that, good food...good drink...we can sit way over here."   

Ferro pose nods "The food issssssssss ok here, need more vegterian options, but what they have isssss very good."   

Krisha chuckles as she sits down"This is nice, so is time off."   

Sister Ginny looks around in awe and sits down as well "This is...interesting, not been outside the abbey in umm....well a while, went to the market that was about it."   

Texo nods "After this the Bell Tower and maybe the market place, and the pond..the orchards." Still excited seems.   

Ferro shakes his head "After lunch"He orders something for himself and the others, drinks and food. Salad, some apple juice, some veggie soup and a roll.   

Krisha smiles, she is enjoying today so far as she eats quietly and smiles "This is nice and clearly good for no stress."   

Sister Ginny nods "Yes and I seen the Bell tower, its huge, is it taller than the one at the abbey? It may be bigger inside it looked like, can you hear it fairly far?" She is full of questions and clearly has not been outside the abbey hardly at all, most of her life she been in the abbey expect for 2 or 3 trips to the market close to the abbey in her whole life."It feels..strange though not dealing with dibbuns 24/7..."
   
Texo grins, after lunch he shows then the Bell Tower "The Scioto Bell named after the first chieftain, Blisa is his daughter and yes you can hear it fairly far but its not rang too often as Redwall's is...its rang for special occasions, or..well maybe a death that's major..and it rings in times of trouble.There is a sysytem to it how each thing is rang, a series of bongs long and short, high or low....we don't, yet anyways, have abell ringer but some know what each tone of the bell means." He lets them look around "And I think Redwall's Bell tower is higher than ours, ours is larger though as they is a small couple rooms for a full time Bell Ringer to live in.    "

Ferro says, "Hmmm never knew there wassssssss a couple rooms for ssssssssomeone to live in here, guesssssssss itssssssss good thing its not rang too often unless there issssss danger, or sssssssome major death or sssssspecial occasion, Sssssspecial occasionsssss are ssssssort of rare."   

Krisha nods"Most go to the abbey for feast times"   

Sister Ginny nods and listens "Where was the last special occasion here, or last time it rang out?"
   
Texo hmmms "I am unsure, there was a small celebration when it was finished being built and I know for a sad one it rang out when...."He frowns, it was recent.   

Ferro says, "When Oz died"   

Krisha frowns and nods, but looks at the view "Maybe we can on on to the market place" A smile as she remembers "Wasn't there a bakery there?"
   
Sister Ginny smiles "We could get bread, and maybe something sweet? Oh like sweat rolls or honey cakes! And the market here is likely larger than the one off the dirt road, let's go!"   

Texo nods and leads the way "Here it is.....lots of stands and stalls set up...the Brewery...Blacksmith...Bakery...a very small shoe repair place"   

Ferro smirks, yeah he knows the Blacksmith shop is there, its closed for a couple days but beasts know him well enough and if its important he may or may not, make something, he will likely take an order but make it after a couple days off.   

Krisha smiles as she looks around "Always did like to look around here, its nice and there is one stand that has good tea, and one has chocolate candies..maybe maple sweats this time of year, maybe"   

Sister Ginny nods and has coins, she rarely goes out so has a fair amount"I can get us sweets...oh look!" She finds apples with a sweet honey and cream coating for them all, and finds some candied nuts and a place that has pretty scarfs, yeah this is fun!"Oh the bakery lets go!!"   

Texo watches her "She...doesn't get out much does she?"He chuckles as they go inside and the smells are so so nice!
   
Ferro shrugs and just follows them   

Krisha chuckles "No..its rare for her"She smiles and glaces around "I say we get something and head to the pond and orchards.   
Sister Ginny nods as she gets Honey cakes, some sort of apple tarts, and some small cheery pastys, "Pond...then we can look around the market again, like before we leave"She will talk a lot today most likely .   

Texo leds the way "Pond and orchards this way...."As they walk "Ok and that path leads to the graveyard...and here we go on this path to the pond and orchards."
   
They are soon by the pond and orchards and one can see the crops that Ferrvale grows and some bee hives nearby some barns used for storage.There is even a mill in the distance by the river where grain is made into rolls and bread. Its sunny today and the pond offers cool swimming and some shade with trees.   

Ferro yawns and is gonna take a nap close to a large rock, it seems a good day for one and even he takes time off.   

Krisha smiles as she sits down "I think the pond here is bigger as well and this one looks to go into a small sort of creek..neat."   

Sister Ginny smiles as she leans back on a blanket she brought for them, "Yeah its nice here, I should totally get out more and have more days off,...why haven't I ever done this, this is so fun!!!"
