Kalypso  walked along ears back”This is a dum idea Stormclaw, this had best be good”

Stormclaw smiled”Oh it is dearest..a place east on the edge of Mossflower woods, a hidden little settlement and they use a large mansion as a sort of meeting place, there is also a barn, and a stone wall, perfect for a base...very well hidden by trees.”He grins “And another surprise your have to see when we get there.” The cat had been away a season looking for a place for a base, found it and was reporting back.

Crookedpaw  walks over “So a base that's not too close, but still beasts can cause trouble. I like it boss”

A couple foxes listen as well...”We need slaves before we go Kalypso , all we have is like 3...a vole, a badger cub and a mouse maid.”

Northstar frowned, she had not been feeling well since she fell from the tree, and they had already forced her to walk a good mile or so in circles.

Kalypso  hisses “I know that and I been...careful lately to not draw attention, the vole and mouse maid didn't...surprised on the vole being a novice.

Atvi was beside the badger and frowned “You ok Northstar?” Yes he remembered her, even if she was a couple seasons younger than him, he knew her, and he knew she might of become a novice here in a season or so.

Ferro was out, hunting. Something he had not done in a long while, he always avoided trouble and in fact the last time he went hunting was when his tribe had caught up to him and his daughter and they had taken her, he hunted and tracked them down and his tribe ended up being no more than a painful memory and he and his daughter finally fear of their fear.

Kalypso  looked around “So how do we get to this place Stormclaw?”

Stormclaw nods as he shows a map and places it in his hidden pocket”Not to worry. I don't plan to let woodlanders get ahold of it.”

Crookedpaw  just listens in and chuckles “Ya need a map ta get there, why don't ya just show us by walking.”

Northstar meanwhile has tears in her eyes, she hates this, and hates it a lot.”I wanna go home....”

Atvi sighs “Yeah..me too trust me” He glaces at the vermin and frowns “They are planing something bad I think, taking us who knows where”

Around the small camp is 2 foxes, 3 weasels, 10 rats, 2 stoats and 5 ferrets. A couple rats guard the 2 slaves, and look a little bored, its also hot today.

Ferro sniffs the air and hisses, he stops as whoa he has found the camp as he frowns, too many for just one, but he is a monitor.

Kalypso looks around as she thought she heard a noise then just snorts “Ok slaves get up and walk we have a long ways to go”

Northstar frowns but gets up and whimpers a little “I don't feel good...and I don't like you your mean!” She proceeds to kick the cat in the leg!

Atvi frowns and backs up and helps the mouse maid up and looks very concerned right now.

Stromclaw hisses, ear flat and goes to grab the badger by her throat”I'll show ya not feel well little brat”

Crookedpaw chuckles “Yeah..slaves have no rights but hey your learn in time”He points to thee vole and mouse “They did”

Xander's eyes flash as he snarls  and starts to go forwards and draws his blade as he readys himself to slay a certain cat.

Vojin frowns and lays a paw on his shoulder “We can not just walk or tun into trouble”

Ferro narrows his eyes, a low hiss...yeah he isnt too happy right now either.

Kalypso hisses as she is kicked and swipes a cat at the young badger and backs up so Stormclaw can grab her, she looks at the mouse maid and vole”Do not try and bolt, your regret it, trust me”

Northstar  yipes as a claw goes across her left cheek, she struggles as she is lifted off the ground and just kicks more and coughs,

Atvi frowns and nods, he has learned to obey the cat by now, so has the mousemaid but she is also fearful, very fearful.

Stormclaw squeezes her throat and chuckles “Should I slay her?” He grins “Could be fun.”

Crookedpaw just watches and shrugs, “I don't know boss, could anger those woodlanders if they find us”

A snarl, growl like something out of a nightmare is heard and a voice “Too late for that scum, release her now!”

Ferro decides to step into view “I..2nd that idea.....releassssssssssse her”

Staying in the shadows by the small group of Defenders is Vojin, his longbow ready for signs of trouble, arrow selected and loaded.

Kalypso draw her blade and hisses at the badger “How in the seasons did you not drown, you were supposed to drown.

Northstar bites down on Stormclaw's paw in hopes he will let her go and release his hold on her.

Atvi eyes widen, is that...he grins and looks at the now stunned vermin “Your in trouble now stupid slavers, those two are the worse beasts to anger”

Stormclaw smirks and then screams in pain, his grip does indeed loose on the badger , but he still has his other good paw and under his sleeve is a hidden dagger, an off sort of coloring of something on it, slightly shinny he flicks it at the dibbun, weather it's her back, her chest,a shoulder it doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be a deep wound it just needs to draw blood,thats all.

Vojin frowns, he doesn't like this cat one bit, not one bit at all as he draws his arrow and takes aim.

Xander watches as his daughter bites the cats paw and chuckles but frowns at the sight of the dagger and right away races forwards to get her out of the way, or block it somehow, but can he get there in time.

The other vermin of the camp have decided to slowly circle the group, there is maybe 2 foxes, 3 weasels, 10 rats, 2 stoats and 5 ferrets, so little over 25 vermin, not counting the fox guarding the mouse and vole.

Northstar just rushes towards Xander “Daddy Daddy....”Its then the dagger from Stormclaw hits her in the upper shoulder blade and she whimpers in pain and falls forwards.

Kalypso watches and snorts”No harming captives..”She sees the dagger hit and rolls her eyes, she has not idea the wound could be far worse than it seems.

Stormclaw smirks as he seems to just oddly relax, the dagger had a coating of a strong poison, he looks at the badger “Oh..how I wish I had more of those, but she gets what she gets for biting me and drawing blood” His paw does drip blood as he simply gets out a rag and goes to wipe it clean and make a temporary bandage.

Crookedpaw blinks and draws his cutlass”Umm...why ya so calm, thar is a monitor and a stripedog here and ya blooming calm!”

Atvi frowns as he watches quietly and looks to the others, curious.

Vojin stays where he is and lowers the longbow just slightly, something doesnt feel right here, things are suddenly way toio calm, a rescue is never this easy.

Xander catches Northstar and growls at the circling vermin as he holds his daughter close “Its ok...”He says in a calming voice..”Daddy has you...daddy is here.” He smiles and motions to Ferro “So is grandpa..see”

Northstar looks between them and smiles weakly, then shivers and as if cold within seconds it seems, she coughs and gasps as if she can't breath and then her eyes close and she goes limp in his arms.

Ferro at first smiles, then frowns as he quickly checks on Northstar, a look of horror comes to his face as he pulls the dagger out, and sniffs it, drops it as he looks now ready to tear some vermin apart.

Atvi whimpers “Northstar?” He is scared now, why is she so still for, last time he seen a beast that still they were....they were....

Crookedpaw is also a bit, curious but he is also alert, no way he is getting attacked and be caught off guard.
Kalypso looks at Stormclaw, “What did you do, you hit her shoulder ...”

Stormclaw smiles coldly”Poison was on the blade, though quicker in action that thought be, then again it was not made for a dibbun, it was made for a grown beast.”He shrugs “All well....so sad...not”

Xander looks at Northstar, “Northstar?” He shakes his head and hands her gently to Ferro, shaking his head “No...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” His blade swings at the cat, his eyes..oh they just changed and not a good color either.

Ferro takes the badger cub and backs away, he hissses at a fox thats too close to him.

Atvi backs up, oh this can't be a good thing, not at all.

Vojin eyes widen, is the dibbun.....dead? His ears flatten he knows that look and knows to keep his distance.

Crookedpaw tilts his head “What the....ummmmm”He backs off “Thats..bloodwrath we should run boss” He frowns “Like quickly.”

Stormclaw had no way to react, he had started to draw his main blade to prepare to slay the badger while he broke down in sorrow and pain, but it seems he is the one feeling great pain and then nothing as his head comes off his body thanks to the badger's blade.

Kalypso screams and ears flat, she looks at the dead form of her love and hissses, a howl and “Kill them...KILL THE REST OF THEM!!!Kill the stripedog!!”

Some of the group is smart and backs off, one stoat grabs the vole and mouse maid and decides he is getting out of here, not too far as he has no clue where to go just a fair distance.

Ferro just holds his grandaughter's as he feels tears, he is not in the mood to fight, how will his daughter handle this news.

Xander growls and slices at vermin, he kicks at vermin, he punches a rat in the face. He ends up with a slice to the arm, and a slice to his shoulder but keeps fighting.

In the chaos 5 rats and a fox are killed by the badger, another fox is seriously wounded.

Crookedpaw gulps and backs off, ready to bolt as he looks at his new boss.

Kalypso digs out the map from her mates hidden pocket and looks at it, she slips it in a knapsack of her's and looks back at Xander and then heads into the woods, if anyone is smart they will follow.

Vojin selects an arrow and fires it at Crookedpaw, and gets another one looking to see if a target can be got but sadly he lost track of the feline, the two slaves and some of the vermin and cusses loudly.

Xander pants and snarls as a fox manages to run off, he sways and collapse to the ground blinking a dew times as his eye color slowly returns to normal. His injuries include a slash to the arm,one on his leg and shoulder and his face where the eye patch is and that's a fairly bad wound, its very possible his right eye has a lot of damage as a lot of blood covers that side of his face and chin,

Crookedpaw gets brave, and not so alert as he pulls out a cutlass and walks over to the badger “I say...you should die..”But before he can make a killing blow the arrow from Vojin finds the rat and he gurgles and falls over dead as a door nail.

Ferro frowns, a ferret who stayed drops his weapon and flees as the monitor narrows his eyes and hisses a warning, the lizard then hurries over to Xander and checks a pulse and his wounds best he can.

Vojin walks over and frowns, “Is he?” Too afriad to hear an answer and he scans where they are.

Xander is alive, but he will need a healer.He groans a little as he is semi conscious.

Ferro speaks “He...livessssss and needs a healer, Ferravale it seems is closer....though I could likely move him to the abbey...”He frowns as he looks at the still form of Northstar.

Vojin nods, he frowns “The dibbun...is she...alright?” He studies the badger “No...don't move him, just get a fire started, I..I will return” He disappears and soon returns with a healer.

The hedgehog is old, he is grumpy, and clearly this has made his day worse.” Do ya like ta get into fight fuzzy?” He rolls his eyes as he tends to the badger and snorts “That eye might heal or might not likely he'll lose an eye.”He finishes with any sewing, herbal packs and bandaging before he stands up and frowns at the dibbun, he already knows when he got there he was too late to help her.”Suggest ya head back to that abbey,or Ferravale..ya choice”He then just heads back to his hermit den muttering how he hates that wildcat sometimes.

Ferro frowns “If you can carry....Northstar, I can get Xander” He picks up Xander and looks to the direction they came”Ferravale?”

Vojin nods as he goes to get the dibbun and sighs “Let's...lets get out of this area.I think we lost them”He goes to lead them back,,,,and sadly share this news.

Meanwhile.....

Elsewhere

Kalypso sits at a campfire looking over a map. She had near 30 vermin and now thanks to a bloodwrath badger she has 14 vermin in her group, but some good luck is she still has two slaves . She snorts at the map and folds it up she needs some rest, after rest they will head where the map leads them...to the new base of the Blackrose
