Reading In The Library-LP

Zolomon-Private first class, Archer and runner in LP

Quinten-General,Recorder in the LP

Keldorn-Shrew and A guest

LOG:

Keldorn quietly reads the scroll he has, every so often laying it down and saying something out loud and glaceing back at the scroll and smiling as it seems he got what he wanted correct.

Zolomon has some time off and walked into here, he slows when he sees Keldorn and walks over "Wot ya reading there K, seems interesting"

Quinten pokes his head out of his office as he hears voices, "Oh Private Zolomon and a guest, good day to you both.

Keldorn nods, he smiles a little at the hare "Yes..the abbey charter as I said and I ment it, I am laying aside the warrior life to be a novice, I no longer carry my blade now. I do have my dagger but not as a weapon. "

Zolomon quickly stands and salutes Quiten"Sur....just having some time off to relax a little sur."He looks at the shrew and sits down"So...what will become of the sword"He is just curious is all.

Quinten nods at Zolomon's answer and waits patiently, when it becomes clear the Private isn't going to introduce their guest he walks out of his office and strolls over, "Good afternoon friend Shrew, I am General Quinten Tof'Marole, Librarian, recorder and all that wot, pleasure to meet you, and you would be?"

Keldorn nods, well he can mention his own name as he goes to shake the hare's paw "Keldorn Firepaw of..well"He hmms and chuckles "I suppose I am not a warrior now I am soon to be a novice of Redwall."He glaces at Zolomon "Your Lord has my former blade, I will leave it up to him what to do with it, I just told him something useful and treasured..not another weapon, yes weapons do protect...in the right paws, but a weapon is made for only one thing, its one purpose is to kill and...I wish to not do such thing anymore"He frowns."I have killed..many vermin in my life...I want the rest of my life to be a life of peace and no harm to anyone"

Zolomon listens, oh oppps yeah he should of told the name...oh good Keldorn did, he just stays quiet for now and listens.

Quinten says, "Well Master Firepaw, you are most welcome to make use of the library as much as you wish and settling down at Redwall Abbey isn't a bad decision, if I didn't love this here mountain so much I might consider it," he chuckles softly, "But I doubt I'll ever move away from the mountain.""

Keldorn smiles "Your..mountain is very nice sur and Lord Ciocan did say I could stay a few days, unsure how long yet though."He sighs"I did bring some news from the abbey as well, he has likely shared it I am guessing"

Zolomon grins "Salamandastron is great...and the abbey is also..."His good ear droops a little, yeah he heard the news and clears his throat a little "Maybe you can even see Halyard if ya want K"

Quinten says, "Aye his lordship passed on the sad tidings from the abbey wot, dreadful news Oz was always a jovial fellow," he shakes his head, "I am sure he will be missed though... perhaps not Halyard, it can be a bit of a rough town and not suitable for a Abbey beast.""

Keldorn says, "Maybe the sea shore with a friend. I was advised to not go out alone, understandable at the sea coast"He nods "Yes...a sad day in Mossflower as well, I was on my way here when I got the news delivered to me,otherwise I would of just had some simple update letter on how things are going at Mossflower, other than a sad death things are going well.""

Zolomon says, "The beach is nice...we should have a jolly bon fire or something....some fun and it would cheer up beasts...we have had a lot of training, and more training and yet more...bet even Lord C needs some fun now..maybe something to cheer him up too""

Quinten says, "Well a Bonfire on the shore can be somewhat risky, but in the height of Summer with the badger lord in attendance he may well go for it. I'll suggest it to his lordship.""

Keldorn smiles "I am sure the Patrol can think of a lot of ideas for fun and relaxing and it is good to relax at times, too much training can make one sore."

Zolomon grins "Yes..too much training and little fun os not good....ummm"He clears his throat"Even if its the Long patrol way of things ..always alert don't ya know"

Quinten says, "Indeed," he gives Zolomon a look then smirks, "Well I will leave you to your reading Master Firepaw, I have some reading of my own to take care of.""

Keldorn nods as he waves a goodbye "Someone was nice enough to write a copy of the abbey charter for me to read while away, so I do,,,and who knows maybe will look at some books while I am here"

Zolomon nods as he smiles a little" I read the charter once....likely couldn't recite it word for word though"

Quinten shakes his head, "I should make you learn it whilst Master Firepaw is here, it is useful knowledge the charter, I learnt it long ago but I dare say I can still recite most of it."

Keldorn chuckles "I can help sir Zolomon if needed, maybe any other hares that are curious"

Zolomon shrugs as he yawns, his stomach growls as he grins "For now...I bally well need a snack"He then leaves for the dinning hall.

Quinten chuckles, "You may find it hard to convince any of our hares to read it, but good on you for wanting to change the direction of your life"

Keldorn smiles "I just hope your Lord finds something for the blade to become"

Quinten says, "I'll leave you to your reading Keldorn, if you need anything my office is open," he nods to the shrew and heads back to his office"

Zolomon says, "General Q is a good fellow, at times..little strike and seems ta have little time for fun, always inside his library or his room"He says as he pokes his head back into the library,"SO K..hungry...they have pie today...pie!""

Keldorn chuckles as he stands he goes to follow his friend.
