Dibbuns Shouldn't Steal..Delicious pies-Redwall Log

Northstar-Badger dibbun

A few dibbuns(voles,mice,squirrels,otters and maybe a mole )

hey were dibbuns. They were quiet dibbuns. That was never a good thing. The reason was clear or would be soon. Sneaking from the kitchens in the middle of the night, since the Friar was away it was SO much easier to sneak a pie, or two pies...while Novice Ralph sleep, yeah..Novice Ralph is in so much trouble when the Frair returns.

Northstar was helping and keeping an eye out for adults as she led them to the dibbun dorms and smiles “We got aways”

“You did?” Came a voice as there stood Papa Oz an eyebrow arched “Got away with wot may I ask dear?”

The dibbuns, 3 mice, 2 voles, a squirrel and a couple otters all gasp. Another couple squirrels bumped into the badger dibbun and with the dibbuns two very nice and slightly warm blueberry pies, some mellow cream in a bowl and some strawberries .”We is busted oh no...no no non=.”

Northstar frowns “They needed me to reach it..it is pies and stuff and...they are..maybe yummy and ..and”And this is not helping “We in trouble Unca Oz?”

Oz seems to think as he finally speaks, most likely seems like forever till he does “Not if you hand them over, you do not take pies like this.”

The dibbuns frown and hand over the two pies, mellowcreame and berries.

Krisha pokes her head out of a room her and Xander share and frowns “Wots..going on?”

Northstar eeeps and hides behind Oz and peeks around at Krisha, great.

Oz speaks “It seems the dibbuns tried to get a midnight snack, I told them I would not tell on them if they handed it over and they did..now to bed..now”So calm and yet commanding that they all flee back to their beds and even sleep in by half an hour.

The dibbuns are all back inside...but one, Northstar as she sits down and frowns.

Krisha looks at her and folds her arms over her chest “Come on young lady...to bed with you..be right back Oz”

Oz nods “I will be in my room” He slips off to his room, he sits down and tilts his head, “I need...tea...ahh yes”He keeps mint tea bags in his room and a small fireplace can heat up tea in a small teapot he also keeps in his room.

==An hour passes==

Krisha sighs as she comes into Oz's room” Oz..you still awake or sleep?” She is tried but wanted to check on Oz

Oz is seated in a chair and taking bites of...the pie, a half eaten pie as he nods “I am fine”He sips his tea...one pie tin in empty, this pie like had 8 slices, like ummm...and the 2nd now has 4 left, the other 0 left and that's his 2nd mug of tea.

Krisha blinks “The....pie...your..did you eat it all or did someone come up and help?”

Oz frowns and then snorts as he eats another bite “I didn't say wot I would...do with this ..delicious pie, the dibbuns really shouldn't sneak delicious pie from the kitchens like that...wot would Lacota think of this”he smiles as he seems to savor another pie “Best Blueberry pies...oh just me and...”Oh wait he did eat it all..”Want the last slice?” Ok he is suddenly a hare it seems as he smirks.

Krisha just stands there “You..ate....the pies...?” She stares at the offered slice, she takes it and sits down “But...why?”

Oz just pours her tea, some honey and holds out the mug “Because..”Cause...because, that's why

Krisha just eats the pie quietly, ok..whoa it is good pie as she smiles “Mmmmmmm”

“Good right?” Oz chuckles and sips his tea and finishes the pie he has as he leans back in his chair” You should quietly place those tins back in the sink and then go to bed....or just leave them here with the mugs “He yawns, he is full of..delicious pie and tea..pie dibbuns tried to steal..and falls asleep.

Krisha sighs and makes sure he is ok as she goes to return mugs,pie tins and forks to the sink and quickly gets to bed, ok it was delicious pie but she agrees with Oz, dibbuns shouldn't steal pies, delicious pies at that, from the kitchen in the middle of the night.

If curious there was 2 pies and each had 8 slices so yeah Oz ate 15 slices of pie and drank  3 mugs green tea ... the last slice went to Krisa and a mug of tea so Oz shared his...um snack
