Ewan had taken it upon himself to make sure the dibbun hare was ok and would get a letter to Zolomon about it, his fellow hare had befriended the dibbun as well after all.

Jhan followed Ewan silently, and looked around and decided to finally speak”Thank..you…” It was quiet but it was there, a voice that sounded so unsure of it’sself.

Ewan stopped and looked at the hare, “For…wot?” He was not sure what the thanks was for, he tried to think on it a little and then just frowned.

Keldorn came down the road and smiled “Ewan my friend and oh a small one..ello young one and whom are you?”

Jhan hide behind Ewan and peeked around to see the shrew, “I am..5 seasons…”He looked at Ewan and spoke again “For…finding me in woods and helping me not lost.”

Ewan nods to this “Your welcome Jhan, I am glad as well and glad you were found and glad you’re not….not elsewhere it’s good to know you  got away from the…camp thing…”He stops any talk of it further least he have some sort of breakdown as he takes a deep breath and exhales, he looks to Keldorn” Was gonna see if he had…family maybe at Mossflower Village or if…no family he could maybe be…elsewhere…maybe, but then there is getting there of..of course, there being Salamandstron”

Keldorn smiles, ”I see, a most worthy mission of I don’t say so myself, I say look for family first and then think on the 2nd idea my good friend”

Jhan smiles “There is Stream….she was sister to…”He frowns..”Pinefoot….” Oh so that was the old hare that spoke to no one’s name.

Ewan ears droop but nods “Then we..find her, she might be worried then and looking for you.”

Stream was out and looking for the young hare and saw them before they got too much further down the road and rushed forwards ”Jhan…you’re ok oh thank the seasons”

Keldorn slowed and smiled at the reunion “See this is what makes a good day and the heart full of joy…a sweet reunion, is this not great news Ewan my friend”

Ewan smiled as he walked over “Hallo..yes he is fine, he was with me at Redwall Abbey, your welcome to go thar as well if you like”

Jhan smiled and hugged Stream, clearly happy to see her.”But..I wanna go to large mountain…be in the Long Patrol” He looked at Ewan, ”Can we go there? Pinefoot was planning too…too take me and Stream…before he…” He won’t say died and now he is sad again.

Stream nods “We can walk there, or maybe get as escort of some sort”

Keldorn hmmms “Maybe….I am not knowing whom to ask as such a trip is 3-4 weeks”

Ewan speaks now “On the river its 1 and a half weeks and I know a couple otters from Mossflower Defenders that were going to Halyard anyways, they could take them….and they were gonna stick around for some..Hullaballoo…thing, so yeah…that be good right?”

Stream nods “Thank you, that would be good and we can get there from there.”

Jhan nods and goes to hug Ewan, before walking back to Stream and smiles.

Keldorn nods “I can led to the River Moss and find Tim and Jim…they are good good sea otters and friends to all good hearted beasts, in safe paws you and the young one will be”

Ewan nods “I..I will let the Long Patrol know…Zolomon is there, he will be happy to see you again Jhan”

Jhan smiles wide “Zolomon…..ya!!!” He seems excited “Can we start the trip now, can we, can we, can we??”

Stream chuckles and nods “Yes we can, let’s go and thanks again for all your help” She kisses Ewan on the cheek and smiles again.

Keldorn chuckles at this “You seem to have a fan Ewan…” He smiles to the two hares “Let us be off…shall we”

Ewan just stands there in some sort of quiet shock…was he just kissed, yeah on the cheek but…ok this is..he clears his throat and blushes a little “Y..y..y…you’re..w…w..Welcome..I need to get a…message out…have a good day” He then hurries back to the abbey,  he might wait a little while on the letter, then again it is important so he does sent a short letter off once he is back and sighs in thought, he has a feeling he may be sending out another letter or two in a few short weeks, maybe sooner, but for now a short simple letter about Jhan, good news is always welcome after all and also a nap.

Lord Ciocan:
Some good news for you, the hare dibbun Jhan…the one we found on the way to the abbey when coming to Redwall’s aid during the Summer season, he is alive and found his way to Mossflower Village south of Redawall Abbey. A nice small simple village of maybe 40-50 woodlanders, the village is slightly hidden in the woods and is doing very well. A couple otters will get Jhan and the hare maid  Stream to the shores and they plan to walk to the mountain from there. Jhan wants to join the LP, I am unsure of the hare maid Stream. That is all and all is well in Mossflower and Redwall Abbey
