Atvi was having a bad day. It seemed to start off fine as he helped set the table for breakfast and chated with fellow novice and then it went down hill from there. He and Novice Sam were washing dishes, he would wash and Sam would dry and they were almost done when in came the otter twins Kip and Pip.

Kip grinned at Pip “Wot say chap, looks like Atvi washing dishes for the 5th time in a row...” They both laugh.

Atvi gets mad at this point and sends a spinning plate to the face of Kip, which results in a broken plate and 5 stitches for the otter and the vole sent to the abbot. But just cause he is told to go to Benar doesn't mean he does, nope..he slips out of the abbey when the gate guard at the time is distracted talking to some visitors from Ferravale and wastes no time quickly getting to the grasslands and deciding he will take the afternoon off and simply be back at the abbey before dark, he can face punishment then.

Kalypso  had never truly left  Mossflower, oh no she stuck around and has been a little busy. No longer the loner she was she now has two tall reddish furred foxes to help her, and her plan was to slowly and carefully plan out how one day her slaver group would be indeed feared again, but a slaver group doesn't just need slavers...it needs...

Slaves

Atvi walked along and muttered, being a novice and looking at books on healing lately he knew what plants were good for food and which were not, which were poison and which would cure some sort of wound or cold. He had calmed down in the past few hours and it was lunch time, and of course in his haste to leave, he didn't take anything or tell anyone he was even sliping out.

Kalypso  ears caught the grumbling and motioned for the two foxes to stay close, then spoting the vole she grinned, noded to the foxes to get close as she walked forwards “You seem to be having a bad day..what is wrong young one?”

Atvi jumped backwards and frowned, “I..I am not young..I am 5 seasons old and I am a novice of Redwall Abbey.”He looks around and back to her “W..who are you?”

Kalypso  smiles “Kalypso ..I will not harm you as a beast of Redwall would be most welcome company after all.”Her tail  moves slightly as she keeps an eye on the vole, “Your alone it seems..why?”

Atvi pouts “Kip and Pip are mean and it's not my fault he got hurt...ok maybe it is a little but he made me mad, I..I hate the abbey” Really he doesn't it's just one of those say before you think things , and again as he continues to speak “I should just go back to Grandma's house and..and live there on my own, I would be fine...I can find my own food and that's shelter and the river is water and I can do odd jobs for food and drink in the winter months.”

Kalypso  nods “I know a place you can stay and you can even have work.....meals and shelter, and maybe some new friends. You can even learn some new skills”

Meanwhile two foxes get beside the vole quietly

Atvi hmms “I..where and..”He sees the foxes and gets a little afraid “Umm..h..hello?”

Kalypso  nods , a signal for grab him as she smirks “I didn't lie..your have a new home..The Blackrose base..its not much yet but has a roof, windows and such and your have lots of work and learn new skills as a slave, and new friends as I get more slaves.”She looks to the foxes “Knock him out...we have a decent walk ahead of us.” They will use a semi powerful knockout mixture, sure to leave him unconscious for a few hours, blindfold him a few more hours and finally get him to his new home after a couple day walk.

The Blackrose base is simple, the cell has hay and a couple cots to lay on, its oddly dry for a cell, unlike most which are dirty and cold. No windows in the cell and once outside there is a wall one can't see over, or climb and there are maybe 6-8 rats, two for each corner of the wall, with longbow and arrows, they are guards, the two foxes are here on the ground, ready to order any slave around, so far it seems....empty, where are the slaves.

Atvi stands there, afraid and tried, sore and wanting to just go home and get a lecture, a lecture is far..FAR better than this place.

Kalypso  grins “Wondering where any slaves are? Not to worry there will be more soon enough I am sure but that just means your special “ She gets in his face and smiles coldly”Your the first slave of the new Blackrose...oh and one more thing, I am sorry to do this and it will hurt, but there is one thing I did with the old Blackrose...I make sure others know..what is mine.

A fox walks over with a banding iron, a design in a simple rose shape, no vines or thorns just a simple rose outline and a stem with one leaf, placed on the right paw and the back by the shoulder blade. The other fox will make sure the vole doesn't run off.....

The Blackrose grows ever....ever so slowly....maybe not now but one day

The Blackrose will once more be feared, even if it's a few seasons from now...

They will.....
