Oz- Badger Mother, AKA Papa Oz

Log:

Voices were heard and then the abbot appeared looking over a stack of letters, he opens one addressed to him and reads it over a couple times, looks at 3 others addressed to an LP hare and the Badger Lord and hmmms softly.Another he holds as he looks around.
   
Hawkeye is sitting in a chair and has gotten over his headache, not so much his worry and has, so far , not ate much today as he looks up "Thats..a lot of letters ya got thar"   

Xander walks into the room from the outside and nods to the beasts gathered, but curious "Who sent all the letters and why?"   

Benar nods , he hands one to Hawkeye as he speaks "From Skipper of Camp Willow....it seems..."He frowns "Taran was..injuried?" He looks up and back down and reads on "Hanzi was..slain by a cloaked beast, they don't know who but stabbed in the back..he's...dead" He looks at the other letters "These 3 go to Salamandastron..I can find a sparrow here soon.."
   
Hawkeye blinks and listens as the abbot speaks "Yeah Taran was with another otter, think a healer which was lucky he was hurt I was there, I saw Hanzi..I fought him..some but he flicked a dagger at Taran and it..hit him, I was distracted and then this familiar voice..female" He shows "This tall...cloaked, she just throws Hanzi dead at me and a couple other otters feet and said he was dead and we all should have a good day and walked off, didnt try and harm anyone...well Hanzi she killed, trust me he was dead ya don't survive that sort of wound and he was checked, like 2-3 times. Likely one letter explains Hanzi being dead." He looks at his own letter and looks still worried but not so much "Taran is alive, in the infirm at Camp Willow...recovering"   

Xander blinks "Hanzi is...dead?" Ok that's a shock sort of, he frowns at the news of Taran "You need an escort to Camp Willow Hawkeye?"   

Benar holds up a paw "No one is going anywhere, it's nighttime, I even told the camp willow messenger to stay the night, he can rest,get a meal and head back in the morning."He nods to a novice who walks off, soon a sparrow enters as the abbot and them speak quietly and then the sparrow heads off with the 3 letters for Salamandstron "The sparrow also is waiting for morning, the letters should be at the mountain in a little over a week's time" He sits down in a chair and looks at his letter again and sighs.
   
Hawkeye nods "Benar is right..and Taran will be ok, I can't always go to the camp after all andI trust they know what they are doing." He is still worried yes but a little less now "But the cloaked figure...in a way helped but just, not sure the voice seemed a little familiar some reason"He shrugs "Guess it will come to me later. lets hope she is a friend and not a foe"   

Xander nods "Yeah lets hope, I want to be able to have some calmness around when Benar has his trip around Mossflower"
   
Benar smiles "I will be fine Xander, the Champion will be with me, and a couple guards and some others. Gorvenalus and Lacota also and I am unsure of Krisha yet"
   
Oz comes down the steps about this time, half listening and goes to sit in his chair.   

Hawkeye chuckles a little, now that he knows Taran is ok he feels better."I likely will stay here,I dislike a lot of travel really any more and I can visit Taran more once me and Crevan home is finished in Ferravale which should be soon "
   
Xander nods and watches Oz as he enters the room "Hello Uncle Oz you feeling ok today? Need any help with anything?"   

Oz frowns "I need no help."He has the tonic in his paw and drinks it, but first mint is added and then its just the ...well just drink it get it over with and coughs a little, "It still is not..the best..."   

Benar makes sure to watch Oz and nods "But it's good your taking it Oz..it should help....some anyway. It has helped correct?"
   
Hawkeye frowns, he has taken herbal mixtures before "That stuff looks and smells disgusting..wot is it anyways?"   

Xander stays where he is and listens as the others speak, then "We got news Hanzi is dead...some cloaked beast killed him after Hanzi tried to kill some otters from Camp Willow"   

Oz leans back in his chair and nods "Alright" That's all he has to say on that suject and answers Benar "Its helping...a little Benar yes and I am taking it easy still as well please dont worry. If I get worse I will let a healer know, if I am out on the grounds I will go to the infirm."
   
Benar nods "Good Oz and I am sorry, we worry and thats just that."He won't push the issue of how Oz is really feeling and just tries to relax
   
Hawkeye yawns as he is cozy in his chair and falls asleep still holding his letter about Taran.   

Xander nods "It's hard to not worry sometimes Uncle Oz"   

Oz snorts and grows a little quiet as he ends up falling asleep in his chair as well, it is late and likely he needs some rest.   

Benar makes sure the fire place is lit, not too warm but slightly warm and gets a couple blankets as he checks on Oz and sighs "Xander you can also help make sure Oz is ok, if he needs help or seems to..help him out, carry something or..maybe make his tea, you can make tea correct?"
   
Xander goes to check on Oz, yeah take a pulse and relax, "I..tea?" He blinks oh yeah"Tea yes..Uncle Zee taught me how to make tea before he..."He frowns and looks at Oz again and checks a pulse...again and clears his throat "I can help him, and make tea..I mean it's not totally like his tea but its still good"   

Benar watches Xander and walks over to lay a paw on his arm "I am also gonna tell you to stop worrying about Oz, he can sleep here tonight.He will be fine, if it helps you feel better stay in here with him I can get you a pillow and blanket, but rest is good...he seems to get tried a lot easier now...I am concerned but try to not show it to others, and I know you worry about him as well, and others do.Maybe Krisha should stay and help out Oz. I do not really need a badger to come with me after all"
   
Xander nods and thinks "Maybe..Invar"He shrugs and nods "Yeah I want to...sleep in here tonight, just tonight is all."He speaks "I ...I was not there when Uncle Zee died I missed it by a couple minutues, Uncle Oz said he was talking and had sit down and he..Uncle Zee..died, sitting in a chair and..I guess I am afraid it could happen to Uncle Oz too."   

Benar nods "Try to not worry as Oz has said, worry only causes unneeded stress that is not needed and you being stressed could stress Oz out also. Maybe Invar can come...I will think on it, prehaps he can ask me and we will see then. for now good night Xander see you in the morning"
