So..Wot Other Drinks Can Ya Make Gramps?-Ferravale Log

Log:

Patch was getting things ready, checking supplies and looking at the tables and chairs as he checks off things on a scroll he has in his paws.

Rupert follows him and sighs “You best not of forgotten to order anything Patch. That would be infuriating”

Xander walks in about this time and looks around “Wow..been a lot of work done on the tavern Patch.”

Hawkeye is close to Xander and followed the badger inside”So this tavern has yet to open, correct?”

Patch  rolls his eyes art the rabbit, he has become use to his large words,seeing the badger he grins “Stripy ya have returned and..who the old riverdog?” He shakes his head “Not open fer a few weeks yet, come back then”

Rupert nods a simple hello and  goes to check on some other supplies behind a counter .”Hops,flavorings,  other important items...check”

Xander  folds his arms over his chest “His name is Hawkeye and he now lives in Ferravale and he is gonna work in the tavern, so get use to him Patch”

Hawkeye chuckles a little”Nice to meet you as well Patch. The tavern is, as Xander put it, looking very nice”

Patch nods”Still some things ta do, supplies to get...smoothing out couple things, gotta fix up the fighting pit and couple other rooms, kitchens getting a stove soon thanks ta Ferro...and ya can help get that Stripy...that monitor creeps me out”He looks at the otter “So..skills?”

Rupert speaks “Expected opening maybe late Summer...early Autumn, we also have a window to be placed in the guest room.”

Xander nods as he listens and smiles “Still will take some time to get use to this, also Patch remember with food...no bird meat...fish is ok, shrimp is ok, someone had an idea of ill maybe...don't know”

Hawkeye smiles “I can cook and worked in the tavern in Halyard, I also know a thing or two on mixing drinks”

Patch nods as he smirks “Mix drinks huh....ok Gramps...show me wot ya can do”He motions to where the drinks are mixed.”Make me something that maybe will be sold 'ere”

Rupert looks over and walks slowly to watch, curious of what will be made.

Xander tilts his head “So...what sort of drinks is gonna be here Patch, guessing some of the same ones from before right?”

Hawkeye nods and looks around, getting the main base items for a drink as he looks at a couple things and scans the room, he smiles as he goes to where some other supplies are and gets a couple things and walks back to where he was and mixes, shaking the mixture slightly and offering some to the rat”Its a cherry drink, with a kick” A strong sort of flavor to the drink.

Patch arches an eyebrow and sips, hmms and takes more of a sip and coughs a little “Whoa...this is...”He grins “Great!! Ya got talent Gramps....Wild Cherry..like it “

Rupert just stares at the small shot glass sample and decides to look over some other scrolls “Xander should also check with Texo on the Defender's base.”

Hawkeye chuckles “Wild Fire Cheery I think be better...also”He has the same basic idea but this one has blueberry “ Kicking Blueberry...also add peach and ya have..let's see..Screaming Peach
He chuckles.

Xander nods to Rupert “Right..”He samples the peach and coughs roughly and almost gags..”Ok...that's...yeah” He clears his throat “We also need teas, water..some normal fruit drinks be ok too.”

Patch grins as he looks at Xander “I like him..I am keeping him around and yeah gonna have tea, and some of that tea old stripes liked so much.”

Hawkeye chuckles again as she leans back in a chair he sits in “Patch likes to give nick names ...doesn't he.”Seems he is ok with being called Gramps.”

Xander frowns slightly but smiles again “Yeah...Uncle Zee..he liked that tea too”He nods to Hawkeye and looks to Patch “So..think maybe late Summer for an opening?”

Patch nods “Maybe...we will see, still gotta do some painting,  fix up the steps..we got drinks from Ruingate and even Halyard and this like apple ale sort of thing de abbbey had, but no October Ale...that be at the abbey only and yeah ta answer ya before...most of the same drinks....Fire and Ice even gonna be around still, boss man loved his Fire and Ice..gonna have some new drinks and some of the same menu stuff, couple things gone and maybe some every so often like crab and lobster, tavern will still have a special guest room upstairs fer like the Abbot or something ta stay in”

Hawkeye nods “My son...a fox cub I adopted might help out as well...serve some drinks or meals, clean tables and such..maybe sweep, his name is Crevan”

Patch nods “Good good..I gots a couple ferrets to work too and a possible tavern bouncer”

Xander yawns as he heads to the door “Gonna find Texo and check over the Defender's base also, talk to you all later”And he is out the door.

Hawkeye waves and looks around as he nods “It looks like it will be a fine Tavern Patch”

Patch nods “I hope so, it's named after Marek Redthorn, even gonna have a painting of him on the wall that someone made of him. Its a little bigger than the former Tavern was”He rubs his paws together “So...what else can ya create fer a new drink Gramps?”
