Xander is here looking over some blue prints and smiles as he nods to a mole "Well tell Texo looks like its going very well" The mole nods back and heads off.

Krisha comes down the steps and is carrying Northstar as she walks slowly over to Xander "What are you...looking at?" She is curious but also sounds a little tried.

Ewan is heading to the library to return books he was reading and nods a hello to the two badgers, he then looks over at the blueprints "Blueprints..of something, umm..what something is it?"

Xander looks up and back to the blueprints "The new Tavern and the Defenders Base...both will be inside Ferravale..Texo has the whole outside of both done now it just needs the inside and windows, and..well what ever for inside and such. There will even be this door to the tavern from the base but not like in a place where its seen that easily..cool huh?"

Krisha frowns "I..suppose. I thought you were taking a break from that till maybe Spring. Texo or whomever can likely take over as they are doing the building of it"

Ewan glaces at the blueprints and hmms "Look...good..maybe add more storage for tavern...and maybe some side of back door to base in case of trouble so one can get like..outside when needed in case of danger, not that we ..well you would want danger..or don't worry of it up to you"

Xander blinks "Your right that SHOULD be added, I will let Texo know as he is best to know a good location for that, for both" He smiles as he looks it over again, he looks to Krisha "It will be good..and after some more recruiting we can rest assured if danger comes again we will be ready...there is also plans for a training area...no worries it will be outside of the abbey...maybe one in the woods and one in the base somewhere. And this is not something to really rest on much if we want it done soon and I may or may not go somewhere in spring...or summer maybe, or..I don't know may be needed here one never knows"

Krisha blinks "Might be needed? And go where....you always seem to go..somewhere...thought you be here more, you promised even"

Ewan looks between the two badgers and frowns, he speaks after a long pause "Maybe it's wise...for a break, I can get these back to Texo and mention the couple suggestions, if that's ok Xander and you stay here."

Xander frowns a little, "Well...I don't know what will be going on in Spring or Summer yet, might be a lot...the tavern and the base having finishing touches..patrols with the Defenders as with colder months being gone then vermin do tend to start trouble again..and maybe I will try and visit someone if all seems somewhat peaceful, but I do want to get more members for the Defenders to make sure all goes ok and safe and no trouble is around"

Krisha shakes her head "Visit who...your family and friends...well most, are here in the abbey or maybe Ferravale..least Ferravale isn't too far..what a little under half a day but still you been there a lot lately dear"

Xander says, "I been..busy making sure things go as planed..like the base built, the tavern built and finding beasts to help with that, I mean I wish Patch was here he would help with tavern issues I am sure. And..I don't..a trip to western shore maybe. Stay a couple weeks and come back""

Ewan listens and speaks softly “It be..a while still like 4 weeks there...then the 4 weeks back and...yeah and you may lose track of time and stay longer than two weeks.”

Krisha makes a face, it's not a good face and goes to hand Northstar over to Ewan, hope they are is ready to hold a slightly wiggly season old badger kit. She then places her finger right in Xander's face, “ Oh and you tell me this..now....it's bad enough you just walked off before and didn't tell me a word, not a WORD..I finally got it out of Benar where you went..I forgave him for not telling me right away then again I didn't ask and I was busy with the dibbuns cause well Oz was in a deep deep faint, he could of died you know..then what? You could of died and OH YEAH..I know Assassins followed you and just about killed you and Lord Ciocan saved you and only cause he had then..vision or writing in badger script of a overturned boat and you under it and figured out what it ment like barely in time...”And the voice is raised “YOU STILL ALMOST DIED!!!”

Xander backs up a little and bumps into a chair knocking “Whoa calm down..I clearly didn't die and I had a reason, I needed to get help and if it wasn't for the Long Patrol it's very...no its clear that Redwall basically be gone now, they were the main reason the abbey didn't lose and I figured if I went and told too many beasts I..I wouldn't be able to go and they would of talked me outta going...and Benar caught us when we were leaving and Dorarose of course knew...well..last moment..”

Ewan blinks “Ummm” and the badger kit is in his arms as he stares at her and just blinks, what is he supposed to do with a dibbun, he is not good with dibbuns really. He goes figure out of tries to on the best way to hold the badger kit.

Northstar wiggles to get free,she looks at the hare and frowns “Downie..downie...downs!!!”She then sniffs and holds her breath.

Krisha meanwhile just folds her arms over her chest” I don't care..they are forgiven, but a note been nice or..or something. I would not of followed you “

Xander frowns “Ok ok..it's the past ok..sorry...as for a visit here soon you can of course come for that”

Ewan sighs “I don't think she wants you down...wait no don't hold your breath that's bad” He looks worried.

Northstar still holds her breath till she turns a little blue and then passes out, but she is fine and ….yep breathing!

Krisha is busy grumbling “NO...I...you know what do what ever you want. I am ..I need to leave a while I will be at fathers, me and Northstar both and your not coming.”

Xander frowns “But..why..wait..I have a right to visit a friend, that's if I find time with getting the base ready and recruiting and the tavern...workers for that...that takes a lot of time and it's important, I know I been away from the abbey a..bit, but a lot to do and want it done as soon as...well possible and I am the leader of the Defender and the owner of that soon...or not soon to be there tavern and ya know what fine I WILL just go on my own to the western shore, I don't need company from a worry filled maid”He then seems to suddenly think on the words that came from his mouth and holds up a paw “Krisha...”

Ewan just looks between them “Ummmm......she held her breath and then passed out, is that normal?”

Krisha had started to reply to the hare and then Xander went and clearly said the wrong thing and she turns and slaps him full in the face, then picks up Northstar, “If she doesn't get her way.....”She then snorts, “I will be at Father's....Ewan please escort me there seeing as I seem to be a helpless maid”

Xander half expected the slap and oh good grief that hurt, not just the pain but the shock of his words and what he said,how she reacted..”Krisha..wait...I..I'm....sorry” But he also has sense enough to not get too close right now.

Northstar whimpers and is semi awake now as her mother holds her, she yawns and snuggles close.

Ewan nods “I..yeah I can do that. I will get my saber, we can go now”

Krisha nods, a frowns as she speaks not looking at the other badger “Let's go then, I don't need much and its not far. Sides I want to check on father anyways.”She heads to the gate.

Xander reaches out a paw and then drops it, he rubs his now sour cheek and just watches her walk away from him, he sighs and sits by the fireplace to...think, some real deep thinking.

Ewan follows Krisha and gets his saber and then goes to escort Krisha and Northstar to Ferravale, well least the only annoying thing is snow...maybe ice on the way there.

===Few hours later===

Krisha walks into the blacksmith shop and looks around “Father...you..here?” Northstar is beside her.

The shop is slightly...and oddly cold. It's also quiet and looks like it's not been run for a couple days or so. There is still weapons and armor around and lucky no one has come into the shop for the past couple days it would seem, but why was the door unlocked? Why is in quiet and a little cold, that's a red flag right away.

Ewan pokes his head in and his ears droop “Do we...look for the chieftain?” He lays a paw on his saber, he seems a little nervous right now.

A low groan from the living quarters is heard and a weak sort of hiss, but no other noise is heard.

Krisha frowns and again hands off the badger cub to the hare and quickly goes into the tunnel and walks carefully...slowly till she gets to a den and frowns “Father?”

Ewan is more ready to take the sleeping cub now and slowly follows the badger maid and stops by the den opening “It's..sort of less cold here, then it is a tunnel under ground away from cold winds and stuff but the forge fire heat would get down here..when it's on, should be on right?”

Ferro is here on his bed, he opens his eyes slightly and doesn't look too well at all as he hisses low and half stares at the beasts before closing his eyes again. He has a fever and seems...ill.

“Father!” The badger screams and rushes over and feels his forehead and covers him up better and then pushes past Ewan to get the forge fire started, “Ewan...we need a healer..what happen?”

Ewan frowns, how should he know what happen, not like he knows “I..don't..I will find one” He takes the badger cub along with him, just in case.

The forge is a bit..broken, it can be repaired but it might take a few hours, if one looks parts are there and it's not too major a job to repair, lucky minorish repair to get it working again.

Krisha frowns, she studies it and can get it fixed, she knows how but her concern is also her father's heath. “How long...what happen?”

Ferro speaks “Partssssss.....droped off..lassssssst night....but too...cold...move...or fix...well...”He coughs and shivers a little.”Too...do....much...” So why didn't he ask for help from the village? Who knows. Then a lot here he does freak out sooo.....

Ewan enters, with Northstar “ One can come...and look him over but they are unsure how to help lizards much sides..warming him up...do I send for maybe a Redwall Healer?, a bird can be sent”

Krisha nods and sighs “Yes is all she says. Krisha looks around and frowns, has to be a way to get him warm”I will fix the forge but you need warm.” She decides to get more blankets and cover him up and then goes to get the forge working before it's nightfall, she frowns and does get it to start up and peeks outside as she goes to lock the door to the shop and head back to her father.

Ewan decides he can be more up front, check the door if someone knocks, like the chieftain or another healer and just let them in, other wise a reply is sorry shop closed come back later.

Ferro shivers and seems only slightly less cold as he coughs, not good he needs warmed up or he will get worse.

Krisha frowns and sits down beside Ferro and looks around,she carefully picks him up and brings him closer to the forge, but not too close and lays him down after laying down a couple thick blankets, she also lays one over him and sits down beside him, she sighs and ends up falling asleep beside him, it's been a long day.

Ferro shivers a little less and lets his eyes close so he can get some rest. He opens them a little and looks at his sleeping daughter and a weak smile forms, then closes his eyes again to get some much needed sleep.

Ewan meanwhile checks on them and then goes back up front , the dibbun staying beside him asleep on a basket with a couple covers in it, not to worry the hare did make sure she was not close to the forge fires. This may end up a long night but hey...a long night staying on watch is good, and he is still a long patrol hare and their job is to protect after all.
