Chaos By The River, The Abbot's Been Kidnapped!-Missing Abbot TP Log

Rw Abbey:Entry
------------------------------
You stand on a grassy sward between two cottages.  To the south you see a small, calm pond.  To the north lies an open space where the Abbey has its feasts in the warmer seasons. To the east is the Great Hall, a massive structure that rises far above the abbey walls and is completed with large towers that pierce upwards into the sky.  The main building is completed with a large, iron banded door that would allow one into the Great Hall
Its Winter

Xander was getting ready to head off soon as he checked a couple more things
   
Quade stepped into the entry "Hello Xander my young badger friend, having a good day?"   

Xander offers a smile "I am well. I have my family blade now, even showed mom and Uncle Oz knows I have it now too"   

Quade nods "That’s good, always nice to have family stuff in the right paws"   

Xander nods “I think mom and Takeo went to check on their boat.....maybe we will see them by the river"   

Quade shrugs "One never knows but I do not think so, I was in that area earlier think their boat is a bit downstream from where we were going"   

Rayen slowly walks into the entry, looking to see whom was around and nods a hello to the two already there and walked over quietly.   

Xander waves to Rayen "Hey Rayen, interested in finding clay?"
   
Quade nods to Rayen as he walks closer "Yes it would be nice to have an archer around, wouldn’t you say? Or would you rather stay here..hmmm?" He seems to wait on a reply.   

Rayen blinks as she flattens her ears a little and then they perk up as she nods, staying quiet right now, she leans on the wall by the gates.   

Xander frowns "Ya ok Rayen?"   

Rayen nods "I am just fine, just tried" She states quietly.   

Quade says, "well not too far to go and should be.....fun"

Abbot Benar comes into the entry and nods he is ready to go and the group head off to the river bank.

==Along The River Bank, not too far from the woods or road, snow is around and some ice===

It is a general drab and over-cast winter's day, spring is still several weeks away but the Abbot is out of the Abbey for one of his very rare trips outside of the walls. With the dibbuns  having been missing however the Abbot's usual casual trips has gathered quite a collection of hangers on. But this just means more beasts to carry things for him, there are three guards designated by Magramba to escort him. Three novices to carry the pots of gathered clay and several others like Xander and Rayen. The Abbot himself is currently standing on the edge of the river bank directing the operating to collect clay from the slippery bank of the river.

Xander stays close and is learning what clay is, least before it’s by the kiln, "This is interesting, how do you know which is clay and which is just...well a mess?"

Quade stays a little ways off as he looks sort of bored, he places a footpaw in the mud and glances around. "You mean mud don’t you?"

Rayen has been quiet the whole trip, her longbow is on as she looks around.

Bolt meanwhile is staying hidden along with some other vermin. He smirks when he sees the badger but stays quiet, he has his own arrows but they are knock out ones and this time he has more than just a couple.

Benar asks, "Some of it is mud yes," He points "But see this thicker stuff?" He bends down and pushes a finger into it, "See how thick it is compared to the rest? That is clay and feel the slippery texter?""

Xander nods and smiles" We should go a little further today or least I might, Takeo and mom ship is close by and they were checking on it since yesterday" He does find some clay and places it in a container. "Feels a little different but I know where clay comes from now, so that’s good"

Quade yawns and goes to climb into a tree to...watch things, he slips over to one of the novice "Want to help me look over here." The novice nods and goes to follow the squirrel, a slight mmmph is heard and some movement of leaves and the novice and Quade has sort of...wandered off?

Rayen frowns as she watches Quade but stays where she is and looks around quietly, she about slips on a patch of ice and grumbles "Hate....ice" She states quietly.

Bolt motions for a group of weasels and rats and a couple ferrets...maybe 10 beasts in all to start surrounding the group and readies his longbow..but who to knock out, he grins..why not the stripedog..shooting arrows at them is fun, he waits on the right time thought.

Benar shakes his head, "We aren't wandering up to your mother's boat Xander, that would be reckless. It is much too far for a group of our size to go and get back to the abbey in time. I am afraid Takeo and Zinnia will have to do without our company today." He climbs back up the bank and looks at the pots containing the fresh clay and hums softly, "This should be enough for now but maybe a bit more from over there Brother Zantha"

Xander nods "Alright" He does walk a little ways towards the two novices and tilts his head "Where is the other novice...and like Quade?" He doesn’t get the Blade Of The Northwind Storms  out yet, he just got the family blade and still has to get a bit more use to its weight and swing it, though he has practiced a little.

Quade is not seen, but a cloaked beast is, but he has something to muffle his voice as he stays by a bush and speaks to the vermin group surrounding the Redwaller's...."Do attack..knock them out and try to just take Abbot Benar..others if needed" Well this masked beast is boss after all and the fox is not the only one with knockout stuff, though one rat has darts he places in a tube and fires at one of the guards near him.

Rayen frowns, she looks towards the woods and starts to say something but stops, right now trying to figure out where all beasts are standing.

Bolt grins, yeah he will just fire at the badger, knock it out as it could be a threat with that blade he has. He aims carefully and takes aim, he then fires off the arrow, not towards anything vital as it’s to knock out not kill. Though deep down he may WANT to kill it, but orders are orders.

Xander frowns as he catches movement and does draw his grandfather’s sword, only to get hit with the knock out arrow in the arm and yelp in pain, he shakes his head and goes to try and  slice at a rat that goes to attack a novice , but the knock out stuff is doing its job rather nicely as he fights to stay awake and make the woods stop spinning.

Benar jumps as something zips in and hits Xander in the arm , he recognizes an arrow when he hears one and turns. Of course he's ankle deep in river mud right now and not really much use. "Attack, Rayen, Xander be careful.... guards protect the novices..." He starts to wade up the bank, intending to help out as he can.

The cloaked beast seems to enjoy this as he raises a paw and drops it, that’s a single for some action to start and whoever he is he seems to be in charge somewhat. The vermin band are clearly seen now either aiming to knock out or if they need to grab a beast, but as their boss said the main target is the abbot.

Rayen nods as she does stay close to the two novice here and knocks out a ray with her fist...hey she had a bad morning so she is a little grumpy. She also has her longbow ready

Bolt goes to fire a knock out arrow at a tall guard and then, looks over at Xander "Sleepy Stripedog...ya should sleep!" He goes to attempt to knock him over if he can.

Xander growls low, he takes a deep breath holding back anger rising up and goes to swing at Bolt about the same time the fox succeeds in knocking him into a tree, he groans and slides down weakly holding the blade now as his vision blurs, he tries to stand and falls onto his side as the knock out stuff took a little longer but it does work now.

The cloaked beast  barely avoids a guard striking him and  is helped by a couple weasels before stepping back into the tree line. He watches Bolt and Xander fight a moment before pointing out where the abbot is to a couple ferrets "Get our guest"

Rayen meanwhile fights off a ferret before backing away leaving the novices easy prey for being knocked out or grabbed.

Benar scrambles up out of the mud at last and starts toward the tree line, he only gets about half a foot before a weasel grabs him from behind. His long fluffy grey tail is used against him, pulled back and twisted around one of his arms and he is down and out before he hits the forest  floor.

Bolt grins and looks at the badger, he looks over to where the Abbot is and kicks the badger once before he goes to help get the Abbot away from the area before any beasts knocked out wakes up or before any still awake can do much.

Rayen frowns as one guard is knocked out, a novice is missing and the other too are now hiding behind a fallen log. Two guards are still awake but one is hurt and the other is fighting a weasel, but the weasel is at least losing. Rayen fires an arrow towards a rat near the novice and the rat falls over.

Xander feels the kick weakly as he tries to open his eyes and then slips into a sleep.

Quade appears, having supposedly fought one of the vermin as he has a cut on his arm. Meanwhile a couple ferrets get to the abbot and one goes to stick a knockout dart in a shoulder, it would knock him out long enough to get to where where the base is they stay at.

Rayen lays a paw on her shoulder and her ears flatten as the day seems to get worse and worse for her, she sees Quade and goes to limp over to check any beast that’s wounded, she is still a healer after all.

Xander is sort of...not going to be helpful right now, he is a bit unconcious and most likely will be a couple hours

Benar struggles as best he can until the dart gets jabbed into his shoulder. He gasps and shudders and then goes limp, eyes rolling back in his head as he is easily knocked out.

Bolt chuckles as the abbot is knocked out and singles for the group to take him and the novice they knocked out too, the rest are left alone but he does walk over and goes to grab Quade, "Come on now...woodlander" The last part added as add on. “Let’s go guys, ok let’s go boss will want us there"

Rayen frowns as she spins around to see the Abbot carried off but she has injured beasts to tend to and checking those knocked out, to make sure they aren’t dead…she sighs as they are alive and checks Xander.

Xander groans weakly but he is alive.

Rayen frowns, guess she has to help them back to the abbey, least she knows the vermin band will stay away for now, Quade will make sure of that. She waits till the beasts start to wake and will have to report a novice and the abbot as missing.

Quade goes to send a kick as he is grabbed and frowns seeming to surrender easily, he looks back to where Xander is and the others that are mostly knocked out or hurt and then looks at the ground.

Underground Prison:
This is a small prison cell, large enough to fit several beasts. A light comes in from an unknown source above, but the area still gives the feel of dark, damp and death, as if it is meant to extinguish all hope. Whatever beast finds themselves trapped here, is likely to meet their demise within these exact same walls.
   

Bolt arrives at the base and makes sure Benar and the novice are in the cell and turns to Quade as he locks the door...well after making sure the Abbot and novice can’t get away and what he says next is..surprising " So..what now boss and I really really wanted to kill the stripdog...can I go back and kill it?"   

Quade glares at the fox "Moron....No killing Xander....we have what I need for my plan"   

Benar starts to stir, slowly waking up, lifting his head and rubbing at his face and groaning as he tries to sit up and looks around.   

Bolt snorts and looks at the Abbot and grins "Wakeie wakeie...welcome to ya new home and you can make new friends, when they wake up later"   

Quade rolls his eyes and has a bandaged arm “Bolt...SIT DOWN!" He looks at Benar as he clears his throat "You may have a headache and fill a little ill...your one badger did when the dibbuns were taken...course they did get found, it was easy...purposely, you on the other paw won’t be found so easily"
   
Benar lifts his head, his eyes narrow as he stares at Quade, "So it's you... just what the hell do you think you are playing at Quade! How can you be in cahoots with vermin you are a squirrel! All of Mossflower is going to go spare tracking me down. You do realize that don't you?"   

Bolt grumbles and goes to do some stuff , like check on the other horde  beasts and maybe eat some wood Pidgeon.

Quade listens and sighs "Yes and they don’t know it’s me as I will help -find you- or well least that’s what I will say. And  don’t worry no plans to kill you...well for a while yet. One beast did find out and over heard me this morning...they won’t help you they are a little dead now" He smiles coldly.
   
Benar stands up slowly, shaking out his habit, "I must warn you I will do everything in my power to escape... and you have stirred forces you cannot comprehend with your actions here today. Martin's spirit will rise when Redwall is in danger."   

Quade smirks "Martin is a ghost..harmless. And what else is a threat...other badgers? The one is blind...Xander needs a bit more skill...course there is that other one" He smiles coldly "But they may not have the sprit to help here soon...I have tricked a lot of beasts and still plan to trick beasts"
   
Benar says, "A ghost who can speak directly to the beasts of Redwall, my Champion will find me and end you," He folds his arms inside the sleeves of his habit, "You'll see Quade you made your biggest ever mistake in harming me."
   

Quade shrugs "We will see...I destroyed a whole village before coming to Mossflower...took their abbot and I STILL have him as my guest and a fighter is here as well..though as they did , as you will,  lose your hope ever so slowly as well"   

Benar smiles quietly at Quade, "Then you know nothing about me Quade, you could burn Mossflower, the Abbey and all to the ground but it shall rise again. You can kill me and it will continue, better vermin then you have tried. Ones who are not cowards and they all failed."   

Quade chuckles "We will see, for now they think I am their...friend." He smiles "I should go soon and report you missing and how I tried to fight off the vermin...and oh so failed." He starts to walk away and looks back "And I need to help someone find another missing beast, but hey least you’re  alive, sadly the other beast isn’t."   

Benar says, "Take care Quade, you have opened the nest of vipers and I shall see your schemes burn""   

Quake just shakes his head and posts a couple guards and heads back to the abbey, the –wounded hero-  must report the abbot missing and oh he can’t find him.
