A Most Intresting Visit- Mossflower Defender's Log/Redwall Log

Whom:

Misu- otter maid archer in Mossflower Defenders

Xander- Leader of Mossflower defenders

Ferro- Monitor lizard and Blacksmith of Ferravale

Where:
Along the dirt road-to Ferravale and slowly back to the Abbey

Why:
To invite a most interesting Monitor Lizard to Redwall Spring Feast

Misu needed to get out of the abbey, she was healing well so she decided to tag along with the badger. “So..you have a hut in this Ferravale…why?”

Xander speaks “It was my Uncle Zee’s. He left it to me when he died, it’s small but it’s nice…I don’t always stay there as me and my mate Krisha also have a room at the Mossflower Defenders Base as well that we share and sometimes I am at the abbey with Uncle Oz”

Misu just nod “And Redwall has a feast every season?”

Xander smiles “Yep..most of the time it’s fun, I mean..rare times it is not. I am gonna invite Ferro over, oh and I could escort Marek..if he..well wants me to he might go with Blisa. She is the Chieftain of Ferravale”

Misu just shrugs as she looks around. ”interesting.”

It doesn’t take too long to get to Ferravale and it seems most respect the badger, then again he does have a large blade on his back but still…most respect him. One weasel decided to try and jump him till another weasel punched that one out…well it is a vermin village! They soon come to the Blacksmith as Xander smiles “Here we are”

Ferro is not too busy today, for a change, as he is finishing a shiled he was repairing and sits it aside.

Misu walks in and comes to a stop when she sees the monitor and gives the badger a what the look “Umm…you can’t invite a monitor to Redwall sir”

Xander smiles “Yes I can it is fine Misu he is a friend” He walks over and smiles “Ferro..would you like to come to the Redwall Feast? Abbot Benar said to invite you to come, and me..Krisha and Northstar would love to see you there also.”

Ferro turns and nods to the badger, he rolls his eyes at the otter and speaks “Ssssssssssssssssssure…why not. It is warmer and I do have a thick cloak in casssssssssse of a cold wind that may blow.” It happens in spring after all. He grins and yes it’s a little creepy so maybe he does it on purpose “Who isssssssssss the otter?”

Misu tenses up and backs up a little. She has her longbow and arrows and another weapon but doesn’t reach for them as she clears her throat “Misu….and friend?” She is confused “How….and…but.” She takes a breath “Excuse me ummms sir lizard.” She goes to pull Xander to the side and whispers “Monitors eat meat…..it would be like the beasts of the abbey is his feast.”

Xander frowns as he is pulled to the side and the whisper. He sighs “Ferro would not do that.”

Ferro watches, he hears bits and pieces as he waited, “Do what?” He folds his arms over his chest.

Misu shouldn’t, but she does cause…well that is how she is “Eat like the abbot or something”

Xander frowns and it’s too late the otter has spoken as he looks between them, this could turn bad really quickly.

Ferro smirks “Eat Abbot Benar? I think notsssssss…too much fur.” He chuckles as he jokes some “I am a vegetarian. Unless he has ssssssssuddenly turned into a carrot or prehapssssssssss a radish, he is fine and even then….I ssssssssstill would not eat him” He offers a smile, it’s still creepy. ”I do not eat meat…I do not even eat fish or shrimp.”

Misu listens and blinks, a veggie eating monitor…well that’s for sure a first. “I…well that is….different.” Ok but she is in no way sitting by him at the table, she doesn’t care.
Xander sighs and quickly speaks “Well why don’t we get going huh….to the abbey.”

Misu nods “Yes sir, sounds good.” Ok well what is next to meet here a bird that swims or maybe the chieftain juggles fish.

Ferro makes sure the shop is locked up before he goes to follow them to the abbey. “How isssssssss Krisha and Northstar?”

Xander smiles “They are fine. She will be happy to know you’re coming”

Misu speaks quietly “So…your mate is friends with a monitor as well…I do suppose he would make a great body guard.”

Ferro grins, “I am her father…..and Northstar is my granddaughter” He adds “And yesssssssssss I would be a good body guard”

Xander chuckles a little. A walk to Ferravale was something he needed and it’s a good sunny day.

Misu just decides to shut up, yeah that is best as she looks at the veggie eating lizard who seems to of adopted a badger at some point…well, today is super. She looks up as notes yep the sky is still blue..what other interesting thing will she learn today she wanders….one never knows it would seem.
