****Near Ferravale gates****
Patch was running and tripped once so his ankle was sore now but he was on a mission, one to get help
Xander was heading out when he nearly bumped into Patch and frowned "Whats the hurry Patch? Let me guess late for tavern work, Blisa is gonna be upset with you"
Patch frowns "Something worse than an upset chieftain Xander, much worse"
Xander suddenly loses any hint of being tried when the rat uses his name instead of the nickname he always does "What happen?" He asks worried, he makes sure he has his blade which he does. “Explain while you walk"
Patch says, "First Drake got loose, he was found but now he and like the Head Guard, plus Cynthia are in that abanded mine place...well there was a cave in and they are like trapped in there."
Xander slowed and looks at the rat "Drake got....wait mine shaft?" He frowns "Same one Quade used? "
Patch nods "And does it matter! As much as it could be a way to not worry on him...there is still Bandit and Cynthia in there too."
Xander raises a paw "Ok...calm down, we need more than just me to clear a cave in...how far inside is it as...well that place is creepy enough and sounds very unsafe to go near."
Just then, Blisa appears! Go figure. Eyeing the duo, she smiles and says, "The guards told me that you 2 were out here. Can I help you?" Her bodyguards are behind her, checking the path and surrounding woodlands for enemies. A wall guard looks down and waves -- he must've been the one who took the message to the petite Chieftain.
Patch frowns "Not too far into the mine shaft..like barely..." He sees the chieftain and frowns, he gets right to the message "Good news and bad news" He starts "Good found the escaped Drake...bad news he has Cynthia...good news the Head Guard found them...bad news all 3 are trapped in the mine shaft that caved in and that was an hour or less ago!"
Xander nods to Blisa "We...are gonna need some beasts good at digging and moving lot of rocks and stuff and sooner rather than later"
Blisa blinks at the sudden onslaught of good news/bad news. Well, okay, then. "I'll see how many moles are in the village. I'm sure they'll be happy to help." She turns to ask someone to do that, but Valerie is already speeding off. Nodding, the cat adds, "Clarissa, please go see how many big, strong beasts you can find you would be willing to dig for us." the rat nods and hurries off. The Chieftain then sends Hank to round up timber, shovels and a wagon. After he runs off, she turns back to the badger and the rat and asks, "Where is this mine?"
Patch points on the path south "That way and then past from weeded area. It’s an old mine that well...for sure is no good now and clearly unsafe. Quade used it....."
Xander frowns "We should hurry it’s hard to say how much air they have left....." He is worried and he rather not have to give any beasts at the abbey bad news.
Blisa nods. "We'll hurry as fast as we can once everyone gets here." She starts tapping her fingers on her arm. "It'll take a few minutes....I wish Texo could've built our bell tower by now. We need it for times like this." She now regrets not prioritizing it. "But once they all get here, we'll get underway as soon as we possibly can, I promise."
Patch nods "Well bell towers do take a while.....anyways let’s go!" He leads the way once they are all together, this is one of those times he is all serious and not trying to be sneaky or tricking any beast.
Xander nods as he follows, he can move a good deal as he is stronger, very strong thanks to Jedrick forcing him to move and lift so much when he was enslaved by the wildcat...well guess something good came of it and will be helpful now.
Blisa smiles in relief when the wagon (filled with tools, 3 moles, and 8 very strong-looking and large beasts, as well as the bodyguards she sent to get the stuff) comes trundling up, being pulled by Hank. "Oh, good! Xander, if you'll help Hank pull the wagon, we should be able to get at least very near it rather quickly. You say this is the same mine that Quade used? There's a path leading up to it, right?" The wagon will be good for any injured beasts....or dead bodies. She goes to follow Patch, and the rest of the beasts climb out of the wagon and push it to make it go even faster. They have little time to waste....
