LOG:

Zoltar relaxed as  he and his large horde were on their way to Halyard. He used a fish bone to pick his teeth as he waited on some beasts to enter his tent.

Brutus entered and nodded " Sur...we are close now, but what of the Long Patrol?"

Shadowlight entered and sat down quietly. She knew the wildcat had been in a rather grump mood.

Zoltar smirks. " I am not worried. Besides you said their base is at the docks, I plan to go into the town itself and make my way to the docks as well."

Brutus snorts. " I know a small group of beasts that could cause a distraction for the hares sir. Just a group of 10. Mainly foxes and rats that I know.They can also knock out some guards in the town as well, you could have a large number inside and suddenly strike before the main town could even react "

Shadowlight frowns as she listens, she looks at Zoltar for a reaction.

" Don't tell me how to do my job Brutus. That is dangerous. But help would be lovely . You can get some of those hares distracted while the Crimson Shadows take over the sea port town." Zoltar states. " I will have the town controlled quickly and then the docks will be mine,their base...mine!." He smiles coldly." I admit I had been worried of that one sees words, but no more."

Brutus arches an eyebrow. " The vixen that was interested in those shrews?"

Shadowlight looks up curious. She had been avoiding the boss ever since the badger cub was lost. As she believes  out to sea, when the monitor returned with blood no questions were asked on their story of the cub being ate and as for Rockpaw, no one cared of his disappearing act. In fact there was a reward if he was found and slain for betraying the horde.

Zoltar grins." That vixen said more than once that badger cub would lead to my death, if I kept him...I would fall." He chuckles." The cub is dead...gone! Yes I was upset, at first. But now….oh now I feel victory within my reach , I will be Lord of the Western Shore. A sea port town and a mountain fortress, soon  mine. I shall chain that so called Badger Lord up...force him to watch the last of his hares, die one by one in front of him. I will starve him...let him beg to die, but I will make him beg for a while before I finally allow him to die and jion his stupid hares. Then my numbers will grow and maybe in a couple seasons. I could take Mossflower and Redwall, I will be the most feared in the land!" He chuckles. " Let us drink to victory my friends. "

Brutus grins." Of  course Zoltar." He stands." I shall go ahead and get my small group of friends I mentioned to be ready to make distractions and see who else may be less trusting of those hares ."

Shadowlight is relieved. " Yes my  Lord Zoltar , very good indeed. We may even be able to get boats or a ship as ours.I like the idea of being feared. "

Zoltar chuckles. " Being feared is great, the power of it...I may even get some slaves to make changes to the base and around that mountain,  after all both shall be mine very soon now." He gets some wine and drinks it down." Very soon, mine indeed. "

A lone seagull had been close by listening outside the tent and quickly and quietly flew off into the night.
