Salamandastron is On High Alert- Zoltar TP

Oz slept fairly well, in fact better than he had in the last few months.He was taken from home in mid winter and here it was the very early stages of summer.

Velm came into the room and gently went to wake him." Time to get up and get to the mountain lad."

Oz opened his eyes and sat up.A frown formed." What if...Zoltar gets us?"

Velm frowns." Well let's bally well hope he or his horde beasts don't. So far none been spotted in this area, some scouts did see vermin up shore, this side of the river so it's best to get us to Salamanstron  and not let ya been seen."

Oz nods and goes to follow Velm.

The two arrived soon at Salamandastron,  it didn't take too long as they sort of jogged some of the time.

Pete was there to greet them." Hallo you two. His Lordship is expecting you."

Velm nods ." Alright I will go on up then."

Oz looks around, he does remember being here, but also some sadness as he was here with his father.

Pete nods." His Lordship is in his quarters."

Velm heads on up and peeks inside as to not disturb anything of importance.

Oz stayed close by the hare and waited.

Ciocan stood looking out his window quietly. Hearing footpaws he spoke. " You may enter." He then slowly turns around.

In the hallway was Kelp, seeing the small badger beside the hare he slowly walked over." You're a dibbun….wanna play?"

Vonda soon appeared. " Thar you are Kelp…" She stops when she sees Velm and Oz.

Velm nodded briefly at Vonda and Kelp before giving a salute to Ciocan." Your Lordship , I have here Oz Winters, son to Xander and Krisha Winters. A John, a squirrel, had managed to somehow get him away from the vermin." He hands over the report , most likely written by Sergeant Terence after he and the squirrel spoke.

Ciocan takes the report and nods, looking over it." A runner sent from the base told me some details, this tells more.Thank you Lt. Velm." He looks down at Oz and kneels down so he is, well not as towering in height. " The news of your father's death was very saddening. I will have someone help you back to the abbey, but not yet.First we have this Zoltar and his horde to deal with.Are you able to help me with any other important details?"

Oz looks at Kelp and then Ciocan. At first he backs up and looks ready to cry,  he has been through so much.But he speaks." Zoltar bad….he kill lot lot beasts...he kill daddy, he also kill beasts from the colorful wagon, and otters on beach...and he kill Zolos ..he even kill other vermin and take his group. "

Vonda listens and her eyes widen." Zolomon?..." She doesn't mean to interrupt but she has to." Please was...was this recent or before the horde went to the Seatide Holt? And did you see an ancient otter with a very unique staff."

Kelp sits down while the grown ups talk.

Velm frowns at the mention of all who died, but gets curious when Vonda speaks.

Ciocan nods as he listens.He glances at Vonda and back to Oz."Anything else,  it can help defeat this threat."

Oz frowns, he replies to Vonda."Zoltar say...zolos die lones and then Zoltar goes to..kill otters.." A frown he has no clue of an ancient otter. He sniffs." Zoltar say he want sea town and he want..want here too. He say...he gonna kill alla hares and..and make you..watch." He starts whimpering now.

Velm sighs." This is not good, not good at all sur and if the numbers are right we are dealing with 600+ vermin with this crazy wildcat."

Vonda is a little, just a little less worried." Zolomon may...be alive." But still no way to know.She goes forwards to hug Oz, if he allows.She looks at Kelp as she sighs, she is still worried but tries to get her mind over it." Oz?....you wanna go with Kelp? You two could be friends maybe."

Kelp smiles." Ya a badger as a friend...wait...cool two badgers as friends!"

Ciocan gently lays a paw on Oz's head." Thank you….you can go with Kelp and Vonda here, your be safe in my mountain. "

Oz notes. He does allow the hug and goes to head off with Vonda and Kelp

Velm watches as they head off and sighs." I can head back to Halyard now."

Ciocan shakes his head." Stay here...we have a couple  Sargeants there and Major Varus, Master Sergeant Terrence is there as well.." He nods to follow him, he gets the attention of Koda." Tell General Quinten we are on high alert, and tell him to meet me in the meeting room in an hour."

Koda gives the salute and rushes off

Velm follows the Badger Lord." I am fine with helping out here sur.  I have only heard a little of this Zoltar when I was at Redwall in winter, sounds like the chap been very very busy since then. Use to have a very small group….bally well now he has a dangerously large group."

Ciocan nods." Yes, and I worry about Halyard, the mountain is going to be a lot harder to get into. We can also block off areas, it's been done before but it's been a very long time,  and after the threat is gone we remove the blockage we set up. More so a blockage at the entry . If my dream is correct Zoltar WILL come to our very doorstep."

Velm listens as he follows." I have faith in you sur, we will get through this and that Zoltar will wish he never messed with us."

Ciocan smiles, " Yes...we are now on high alert, anyone unable to fight will go to another area of the mountain and have a small group of guards with them. I also am sending word for some of the hares in Halyard to come back here. Not all of them, just some of them,some of  course will stay at the base and do their best. I trust Master Sergeant Terrence and Major Varus to defend the base and know what to do if a retreat is needed. We have town beasts that will surely help once the alert is up to be on guard . Cause of the warning we got,  this attack won't be an ambush like Zoltar planed it to be ." As he speaks he has some hares called to meet in the meeting room soon." I also want you in the meeting Lt. Velm."

Velm nods." Of course, sur."

Ciocan gets ready for the meeting.He then enters the meeting room right on time he mentioned and stands up front. Once he has everyone's attention, the meeting starts.
