Gorvenalus-Recorder Redwall
Velm- LP Healer, Lt.
Log:
risha sits in her chair taking a little bit of a break while the dibbuns have a class with Sister Anna. She writes quietly in a journal she has on her lap.
Gorvenalus makes his way from the library and offers a smile to Krisha." Greeting Krisha, how are you feeling today?
Benar comes down the stairs, reading a scroll, and starts to move toward the fire-place, he shakes his head and rolls it back up, "Krisha, Gorvenalus, good day to you both."
The weather is warming, the roads are clearing from the snow, and travel is becoming less treacherous. Blisa has decided she needs a break from the insanity of running a village, and so with her faithful bodyguards in tow, the Chieftain heads to Redwall for a visit. After leaving their weapons with DoraRose, the bodyguards disperse to relax, confident their charge is safe in the Abbey. Blisa heads into Great Hall, smiling as she, too, relaxes in the safety of her favorite place. Upon entering, she spies the other beasts here and waves to them as she moves to the tapestry. "Good day, everybeast. I trust you are all well."
Krisha smiles at Benar "Hello Benar, it's a good day so far." She replies to the recorder "I am..doing ok"
Benar turns from the fireplace and frowns then he smiles, "Oh Blisa, well this is fortunate, I was about to start arranging to visit you, come in, come in, sit by the fire, I will send for tea," He waves off a Novice to go get tea and cake for their guest and moves over to his chair, he pauses to hug Krisha's arm then sits in his chair and waits for the Chief.
Gorvenalus nods." Good day Abbot, what is the scroll?." He nods hello to Blisa as well.
Blisa cocks an eyebrow. "Oh? To what do I owe the pleasure of a visit from Redwall's Father Abbot?" She rests a paw on the tapestry right below the likeness of Martin the Warrior, paying her respects. Then the cat moves towards the group. "Ah, Krisha. I am sorry that I have been unable to visit sooner and pay my respects. I am sorry for your loss. I wish I could do more, but I swear that if that murderer shows up in Ferravale, they won't leave...not alive, anyway." The Chieftain stands on the hearth, her back to the fire.
Benar doesn't comment on the "not alive" part of Blisa's comment, he doesn't want to lecture, "I need your help, or at least am hoping you will want to help. The new Log-a-Log has invited us to host the annual spring feast at their camp. I like the idea, of moving to another location to host the feast. But am not sure about the safety of moving the population of the abbey from here to there and back again, so wanted to pick your brains about how we could make it feasible?"
Krisha just nods to Blisa and listens as the abbot and chieftain talk"The feast is in 3 weeks" She says quietly.
Gorvenalus sits down to listen as well. " It is not very often we have a feast outside the abbey. I know it happen one time, I read something in an old log in the journals"
Blisa is surprised, to say the least. "Are the Guosim alright with vermin in their camp? The shrews have a reputation for thinking the only good vermin is a dead one, and even though we helped them when their Log-a-Log was assassinated, I don't know how friendly they may feel towards us." She pauses, her tail flicking as she takes in what the badger says. "You could stay in Ferravale on the way there and back, although I can not guarantee that all of my villagers will be pleased. Did you have any other ideas?"
Velm pokes his head into the room and then makes his way the rest of the room.He stays off to the side as to not bother anyone talking right now as it does look important.
Benar asks, "I was mostly thinking could your people help us? Like escorts to bolster the champion and the guard to get us there and back again? And you would be all welcome at the feast of course."
Krisha nods, a small smile "I think the GUOSIM are fine with Ferravale, they know of the peace treaty we have with Ferravale."
Gorvenalus leans back " Yes..I should chat with the new Log-A-log soon, maybe at the feast"
Blisa smiles. "Ah, I understand. Yes, I think we could do that. I'm sure a number of Ferravalians would be more than happy to help. But don't worry -- I'll leave Basil at home." Her eyes are laughing. She knows better than to bring her giant snake. She's just teasing. She spots the hare and nods a greeting to him. "Hello, there. I don't believe I've seen you around Ferravale. I am Blisa, the Chieftain."
Benar says, "That would be good I think Blisa, an escort of the Novices a few days before taking supplies to the GUOSIM cooks then escorts in relays to take the rest of us there, feast, camp over night and come back the next day."
Velm waves "Velm..at ya service.I was in Ferravale briefly not too long ago." He grins "Feasts are always great fun and enjoyable"
Krisha chuckles slightly "I just hope the dibbuns behave the whole time, I will have to speak to them"
Blisa nods. "Alright, I will see what I can do, Benar." She finally sits in a chair and gets herself some tea. "'Tis good to meet you, Velm. I'm pleased to hear you weren't harmed in my village. Some of the beasts there aren't exactly keen on our peace treaty with Redwall, and even more hate the Long Patrol. 'Tis always a bit of a risk for a hare to visit. ." She sips her tea and informs the badger, "I won't be helping with the Dibbuns." Let other people deal with the miscreants....I mean, darling children!
Benar says, "Well that sounds good, thank you Blisa, I will ask Matilda to work with you on putting a plan together"
Velm grins "I could also jolly well help with the feast maybe,"
Krisha frowns slightly when Velm mentions helping "Is that.....wise to let Velm help?"
Blisa glances at the hare. "...I don't think letting a hare near the kitchens is a good idea...." She sips her tea. "Mayhap he can help as a guard, though..."
Benar says, "Well it will be up to the Log-a-Log who can help in their kitchens, they are doing the cooking, we are just sending supplies."
Krisha shrugs "True, but yeah a hare will likely eat more than cooks"A small chuckle escapes her.
Blisa shrugs then stretches and gets more comfortable in the chair (by draping her legs over one arm and sitting sideways). "Hopefully Log-a-Log knows that a hare in the kitchen is unwise. When were you planning on sending the supplies, Benar?"
Benar says, "I am planning the feast for the 10th, so we'd have novices and kitchen helpers up with the supplies on the 7th"
Krisha says, "That sounds good Benar. Did you need anyone to go with the novices? I could if someone else is needed."
Blisa thinks for a few minutes, then nods. "I will not be able to join my guards in escorting the Novices and supplies, but I will send my most trusted creatures to help. I have business I must attend to. However, I should be able to come to the feast, as well as aid in escorting everybeast home safely." She thinks for bit longer. "I may send Ann, my Head Guard. She can keep track of the Ferravalians I send."
Benar says, "Perfect, sounds like we have a plan, thank you very much for agreeing to help us." he smiles, "I look forward to this feast and seeing what the GUOSIM cook us. We are supply ingredients, they are doing the cooking."
