The Otter Dislikes Stone Wallls

Donica had decided to stay here at the mountain, no need to go on to the abbey as they had the shrew for a healer after all.She was on duty and then noticed the otter and walked over "Wot...happen?"   

Tenzin looks at the hare maid "Lets see...upset a weasel and a ferret in Halyard after stole a silk pouch and de weasel wanted me ta hold thier dagger...in myside" He smirked some.   

Donica frowns, she looks ready to then slap the otter "Why would you....do that fer? I wondered why ya were not at dinner"   

Tenzin shrugs "Use to it and was broke and why eat dinner in this place, guessing this is the mountain's inside all stone and such."

Ciocan enters the infirm and right away is beside the cot, he folds his arms over his chest and looks down at the sea otter, no words are spoken yet but he doesnt look too thrilled to see him in a bed in the infirm and so soon after even getting home.   

Donica sighs she then jumps slightly and saultes the badger as she steps back.She stays where she is unless told otherwise.   

Tenzin looks up and snorts"And his Lordship is 'ere....hey"The silenice he dislieks as he speaks again"What ya gonna lecture me or something"   

Ciocan is silent for a little while before he speaks"At ease Private Donica..."He then focuses on the otter "I would like your side of wot happen, starting with why you wandered off"
   
Donica relaxes and then blinks, private...she smiels at this and sits down in a chair.   

Tenzin rolls his eyes "I am a grown beast, a loner...I didnt plan ta get a dagger in me ya know, as fer going to Halyard..why do ya care? And ya sent a hare after me, what if he got stabed?"   

Ciocan speaks "I care as it is my duty to make sure all got back safe and sound.   

Tenzin snorts "I dont live 'ere or anywhere...this place, this land is all new to me"He grumbles a bit as maybe a secret is coming out,"I never liked those tunnels either but I didnt tell Kash that,I focused on learning them and saving slaves, spent a lot of time in that cove...."He closes his eyes "I...don't like closed in places...bad memories...yes Kash saved me but he quickly learned....I didnt want want in de tunnels too long,he let me hang out in the cove or by the watch area.And why do I dislike closed in places....spent enough time in one barely big enough for me, tis one of the things that wolverin would do if ya didnt listen...think he wanted to keep me around for laughs and finally just grew tried of me and ....threw me off his cliff,I meet Kash and helped Kash for 3 seasons...then that slaver fox came with those dibbuns, then a couple weeks later you all show up...ya know de rest and other reasons I hated that wolverine"   

Donica frowns"That...had to be horrible. I am glad that island is clear of vermin now"
   
Ciocan listens, he replies "That base was knocked down and most of the place burned..."He looks at Tenzin"For now you need to remain here and heal, you can decide if you want to go on to Redwall when I head there is about a week..or stick around the western shore,though I would sugguest you avoid stealing, there is some otters somewhere in or near Halyard and in Mossflower Camp Willow"   

Tenzin shrugs, "I am not too good at making friends, and I suppose I can..try and make my own coin..I don't know..really don't know"He decides fine he will stay in this infirm like a day or two"Maybe I can hang out on de ship?" He grins "Guard it ya know"   

Ciocan replies "That ship is mine, we will use it to get part of the way back towards Redwall and then we will be on foot, if some want there will be 3 log boats with the shrews but they have limited room so most will walk after a certain point upriver"   

Donica speaks "Your...Lordship, may I stay here or does everyone need to come with you to the abbey?"   

Tenzin sighs, then nods "I know don't get ya stripes all...worried, I ment till ya all...or whoever tags along heads to this..Mossflower and Abbey place your talking of...I can hang out on de ship"Be in the open air and not surrounded by stone walls he would say but doesn't "I can even sweep the deck and stuff, help ya get it loaded for the final part of your little trip, and if I decide to stay thar...I will or come back with you and stay in Halyard,I am sure its fairly nice when one doesn't look fer trouble which...ok I did I admit, and I am sorry...but again friends are hard to make, for me anyways and de few I have had....."He frowns as he closes his eyes, there was Copper but he was his brother and that dont count as a friend, plus thye sort of had an agruement as of course Copper wanted him to stay and ....well duhhh Tenzin is here now so...yeah.   

Ciocan nods to Donica "You may, you do have some lessons to catch up on and Felicity is gonna need someone to help keep an eye on her"He frowns he was worried for Felicity."I am also gonna see if Terrence is gonna stay and help her or not"   

Donica says, "I will try and help her as well sur,best I can"   

Tenzin frowns "I seen her....odd for someone to be....well what ever that fast, but friends....loved ones..beasts close to her be the best to help her out"   

Ciocan nods "Friends are important, tis why i wanted you to try to make friends Tenzin...I am still willing to be your friend, yo don't have to live a life thats a bit..reckless Tenzin, you are no longer a captive to that island, yes there is memories there but make new memories elsewhere, you could still be a warrior and help beasts but a warrior also can be wise and know when to fight and when not to fight"   

Tenzin shrugs, he listens though "Yeah..."He frowns "Maybe I am....afriad, ya know...make a friend and will just lose them, or new places....would they even accpt me, and not sure how good of a warrior I really am, lucky I suppose.My father had trained me fer like a season before those slavers came and destoyed my holt, early in the morning...the holt was getting ready to celbrate me , me becoming a squire to one day be a knight like father was...father ..."He frowns as he seems to relive the day..."Father was the last to die, everyone else....dead, but me and 4 other younger pups or dibbuns as you call young ones,I was a couple seasons older than the others jsut barely out of dibbunhood when those vermin took us, me and Copper , after all that happen, was the only ones left of my tribe and he wanted me to stay with him and a half dozen assorted former slaves to watch the island with the seal clan, I told him no and we argued and I said I hated him and left....yeah some big brother I am huh.I mean he could of just went with that Rusty to get the others home...guess he means well, suppose someone needs ta stay, he can handle it on his own"   

Ciocan frowns "Sometimes words come out, we dont always mean...maybe Rufus would be willing to help you two send letters to one another"

Tenzin shrugs, he then nods "Maybe....'A small smile....."I will think on it but...I speak the truth Copper will be fine, far better leader than I would ever be and he speaks seal,I dont...those seals can also swim around and keep an eye on things.Even if he orgives me I dont plan to go back thar...ever, where do I plan to go? I have no clue, not yet"

Ciocan nods as he stands , he then heads out but turns before he does "You need to rest today and then, if you like...you can be on the ship"He smiles "A guard could be wise, do you think you can rest for now?"   

Tenzin grins, through a small frown at staying in here "Ummm....."He dislikes the stone walls, stone walls in his mind are bad.....so very bad as he whimpers slightly.   

Ciocan frowns and walks over carefully picking up the otter and walking to the ship, he had a couple hares keeping an eye on it, he says some words to them and ends up carrying the otter to the ship and laying him down in the captains quarters, there is a window he can see out of.He steps back now.   

Tenzin seems to at first be back at the island, but sesons ago and the badger lifting him makes him tense and struggle a little as a flashback happens "No No....as he feels soft beding he curls up, tenses up as his side of course hurts, he breaths in and out and blinks serveral times as he looks around and comes back to the here and now and a couple tears fall "I..."He notes the room, the bed and wipeing his eyes looks at the badger"I'm.....thank you Ciocan.I..I didn't mean to..."   

Ciocan says, "It is alright and your welcome.I will be by later to check on you Tenzin and do try and stay here,you need rest my friend"
   
Tenzin nods, a small smile "No worries.I will stay 'ere "He looks out the window now and then decides to get some rest.   

Ciocan nods and heads back inside the Mounain, says a few words to Pete and then heads on to his room.
