Benar is sitting in his office staring down at his paperwork, there is so much to be done to set the abbey back to rights now the vermin are gone. Supplies are low in certain areas due to all the extra mouths they had to feed and the crops in one of the fields are being replanted but he is distracted. He has Krisha's letter on the desk in front of him and is staring at it again.   

Elbio is always one to be polite, he had to first speak to his commanding officer on why he was a bit..missing, he had followed the badger and ended up being a good thing too.He was limping a little from a swollen ankle and foot paw, he knocked and waited on a reply.   

Benar looks up at the open door and frowns at the hare, "Elbio, come in," he pushed aside his papers and sat up, "How can I help? Do the Long Patrol need something, things are a bit manic right now."
   
Elbio shakes his head "Nothing ta...do with de patrol and I am sorry for...things being a mess. Suppose I added ta it being away a couple days...or was it 3....BUT a bally well good reason, I followed someone...I have some news where a missing abbey beast is"   

Benar's head comes up and he is out of his chair and around to sieze Elbio's hand, "You know where Krisha is?" he asks hurriedly, "If so you must tell me at once."
   
Elbio nods, "Ferravale...either that infirm or that tavern." He still was unsure of the tavern owner but then again it makes sense after rats attacked the abbey "She has a broken wrist, but otherwise is..."Well he can't really say fine, "She's at one of those two places....hopefully"He adds the last word as if unsure.   

Benar starts toward the door, "Then I am going to go and get her... Elbio go find me an escort," he turns and goes into his bedroom and comes back out with his staff, the bell on the top of it ringing quickly, "I won't be talked out of this, so move sharpish or I'll go on my own."
   
Elbio frowns as he points to his still sprung foot paw. "I mean...tis safer on de roads....I can find..."He is unsure, his ears flatten as he likely could do it, but keep up is another question right now.   

Benar turns so he is walking backwards, "You don't have to come yourself Elbio, but I am going to go get her, she is coming home."
   
Elbio groans, he then goes to kind of walk, kind of limp after the abbot."Fine, fine but ya need someone wot, errr..."He tries to think "A guard...maybe the Log-A-Log?"   

Benar says, "I'll take whoever is available, Log-a-Log, Skipper, Lily, but I am going in person and I will only wait so long for an escort to be assembled." He reached the stairs and stopped, taking a deep breath, "I'll wait in the Great Hall until they are assembled."

Elbio nods, ok he will quickly think as it's clear he is failing at talking the Abbot out of this "Ok..good sur...just sit and..don't jolly well move, wot."He hurries off and hopefully will have someone meet the abbot in Great Hall.

Benar marches down the stairs into the Great Hall and pauses as he makes his way to stand before the tapestry, tapping the abbot's staff on the ground impatiently, causing it to ring and chime.
   
Log-A-Log walks in and glances at Benar, a raised eyebrow, it seems the hare didn't say much just to go to the Great Hall and help Benar, but with what he wasn't told.He walks over to the Abbot "Abbot Benar? Some help was required...what is this help being?"   

Benar asks, "I am going to Ferravale," he says simply to the shrew, "Badger Mother Krisha is there, I assume you'll all want to send an escort with me? I think you'd all have heart attacks if I tried to go on my own, but I am going."
   
Log-A-Log listens "Well I can follow you....I know she was missing, so Ferravale....why is she thar?" But he will tag along, if nothing else to let the guards know the abbot was not off on his own, less worry of course."So when do we head off?"   

Benar flops into a chair and sighs, leaning his head back against the back-rest, "I want to go right now, but I should probably let you assemble a proper escort or Lily or Angela or the Elders will have conniptions if they find out I went with just you."   

Log-A-Log frowns as he thinks, "Just me could be fine, tis for a good cause right? Two can move faster right, and two are less likely to look..odd, course there is a couple of my shrews here still from camp,"He left one at least at the camp."Would that work?"   

Benar flicks his ears up and sighs, "Maybe a few GUOSIM would be ok Log-a-Log...." He stands up, "Ok gather your shrews, we can be at Ferravale in a couple of hours. I intend to speak to Krisha directly."   

Log-A-Log nods as he goes to follow"Well 2...maybe 3, yes 3"His group had lowered after all thanks to the rat attack, he goes to head to the gates to let them know, get any rasipers and head out.Also a good walk , that he hasn't had in a while...would be nice.
   
Benar stands up and goes for the door, "Very well then let us get going," he hesitates then leaves the staff over his chair, it'll draw less attention if he doesn't take it with him, "Let's get going"
   
Log-A-Log can tell a novice to put the staff back in the abbot's room and then follows him.He keeps alert as they walk, him and ends up being 2 other shrews.The trip was rather quiet and no trouble showed up, which was good.

Ferravale: Infirmary
==================

Krisha sat in a chair, she didn't need to lay down and wasn't too tired, she had some rest earlier after the hare left. She stayed put, mainly cause she wasn't sure where to really go just yet.   

Log-A-Log has been in Ferravale once, he found the infirm and checked there first and it seemed to be the right choice, he was glad of this as the tavern would of been a tad confusing and crowded.   

Benar walks in after Log-a-Log, the Abbot has his hood up put pushes it back as soon as he walks inside and moves over toward Krisha, "Hello Krisha," he says softly, moving to stand next to her chair and look up at her, "We need to talk."
   
Krisha looks over at Benar, then Log-A-Log and sighs as her glace is back on Benar, she doesn't reply or nod she just frowns but she also doesn't try to walk off, if it was any other beast she likely would just walk off.   

Log-A-Log is unsure where to stay, so he kind of stays by the door, the two shrews with him mutter something about they missed lunch, the Log-a-log shrugs and nods to where the tavern is down the street, one of the shrews frowns "Its creepy no.."And so the chieftain has a good answer "Then wait..."   

Benar looks up at Krisha and lays his hands on her arm, "I need you to come home Krisha, Redwall needs its Badger Mother, I need you.... your letter, I read it and I disagree with all of it. You know it was not your fault that fox drugged you, no one had anyway of knowing."   

Krisha frowns but finally speaks "The abbey doesn't need me."Her voice is depressed sounding." I should of...sensed...something off, and didn't and their...gone, all of them"She almost forgot Graceie was there but that was likely pure luck.."And..other wouldn't of left if that had not happen....and they all ...all could be..."   

Log-A-Log listens some to the talk but other wise leaves the two alone, he looks at the two shrews"We can check on de camp after the Abbot And Badger Mother is safe back at de abbey."They do still have some work to do at the camp after all, luckly not a terrable amont of work.   

Benar says, "They will all be home soon Krisha," Benar says firmly, squeezing her paw, "I did not detect anything was off either and I am the abbot. Dora didn't sense anything when she let them through the gate, or Elmef or Lacota, none of us are at fault for something we could not detect." He glances at Log-a-Log then back to Krisha, "Please come home."
   
Krisha frowns as if she is debating on going home, she then remembers the rat..."What about the fact I...killed a beast, maybe two...I took a life...."   

Log-A-Log slipped in about that time and started to back away but he decides to say one thing first, "Pardon interrupting...it was .a rat that most likely would of slain the abbot, no one lese would of gotten there in time" The other he knows likely self-defense but things were fairly chaos that afternoon for a good few moments.   

Benar takes a deep breath "As Log-a-Log said, they where trying to kill me... hiding and running away is not going to make peace with that Krisha. You did not violate the charter, you attacked them in self-defense Krisha, it happens and cannot always be avoided."
   
Krisha feels tears start to fall, she looks so unsure."I..."She sniffs "I'm..sorry I just feel lost and I want everyone home and I fear some still blaime me so how"   

Log-A-Log tilts his head "I blame de slavers and then later the rats"   

Benar says, "I know how you feel Krisha, but running away will not solve this... no one is going to blame you. Every single dibbun is going to need their mother Krisha when they come home and that means you need to be at home. With me, both of us waiting for them together."

Krisha sniffs and goes to gently hug Benar,not speaking for a few moments till she finally does"I..I do want to go home, to the abbey" She is still depressed but getting back will be a good thing   

Log-A-Log listens and smiles "Home to Redwall will be very good and beasts will be most glad I am sure"   

Benar holds Krisha's hand, "Then come with me Krisha, let us walk back now. Log-a-Log will see us safely home, everyone is waiting for us."   

Krisha nods, she will head home, to the abbey, "Yeah...."Some more talking could be good but it can wait till they get back to the abbey.   

Log-A-Log nods"Yes me and my shrews wil make sure the path is safe on teh way home, maybe get hone in time for tea"   

Benar says, "Then let us go home Krisha," Benar will hold her hand for the walk home, staying by her side, as they enter the Abbey several beasts come hurrying over. Word spreading that Krisha has returned, members of the order, residents, everyone gathering all around to welcome Krisha home.
