The NEED For Hotroot!-Redwall Log

LOG:

Benar is sat in his usual chair knitting and talking quietly to a couple of brothers and sisters, they seem to just be sitting and relaxing and enjoying a quiet spring afternoon.
   
Krisha has let the dibbuns play outside today and quietly brings them inside. " Ok wash up and you can have your afternoon snack " The dibbuns head off and are reminded to walk not run.   

Benar looks up at the sound of the dibbuns heading noisily back to their rooms to clean up and smiles, "Krisha, having a good day? I hope things are going well?"
   
Krisha nods with a smile " So far been a good day, the dibbuns have behaved past few days"   

Benar asks, "I am glad to hear it," he smiles, "I hope they are not being too much of a handful right now?"
   
Krisha chuckles as she sits down " I think playing outside helps, and they stayed away from the gardens and where some beasts are getting ready for spring planting "   

Benar says, "Well I am glad they didn't trample any of the spring planting that would get them in trouble"
   
Krisha says, "yes it would, but they were good, Brother Rick is gonna teach Math class after snack so some free time."
   
Benar asks, "Well Rick does have a knack for numbers," he smiles and motions to a charge, "Would you care to sit down and join us?"
   
Krisha leans back in her chair " It's nice to relax though wish I could help out more with the spring cleaning but supposed to take it easy right now"   

Benar asks, "Well you can only do so much, maybe you can help me give my office a bit of a spring cleaning at some time?"
   
Krisha says, "I could help sweep, mop and dust...the healers don't want me lifting anything though"
   
Benar says, "Well I need to spring clean my office and my rooms, so I wouldn't say no to a hand"
   
Krisha hmmms " Maybe tomorrow I can have Sister Anna and Sister Ginny be in charge of the dibbuns tomorrow"   

Benar says, "Well that sounds nice, to take a day off and relax you need to take a break occasionally"
   
Krisha says, "I take breaks when I can the dibbuns do keep me busy"

Benar says, "Well that is the nature of dibbuns, they have a habit of keeping us all busy"
   
Krisha says, "that's true....but it's fine. They have a lot of energy at times and can even wear themselves out at times"
   
Benar says, "Well that must make afternoon naps easier to manage if they tire themselves out with play"
   
Krisha says, "some sleep..some don't but yea tomorrow we can spring clean your rooms. Maybe get a novice or two to help as well"

Benar asks, "Well I will ask Novice Georgia to give me a hand," he smiles, "But for now how about lunch?"

Krisha nods " Lunch sounds good.What was for lunch today?"   

Benar says, "Well it was late vegetable soup with dumplings, more of a stew really with fresh baked bread"
   
Krisha smiles " Sounds fine to me. Might add some hotroot to mine. Hot root is good"   

Benar says, "Hot root is well I have never been able to get the hang of hotroot myself"

Krisha chuckles " We may need to get more,not sure why been liking it since...well ...being with dibbun"   

Benar says, "Well we are running low, but we can always send someone to Camp Willow to see if we can purchase or trade for some more"
   
Krisha smiles " That be great....I mean yeah we need some" She watches  as a couple of order  beasts go to the kitchens. " Send who though"   
   
Benar smiles "I am sure your find someone to go...now let's have lunch shall we?"

==Couple hours later==

Krisha was at the pond frowning and seemly in a foul mood at the moment, least she was on a small break away from the dibbuns .

A couple order beast were by the pond and one decided to check on the badger "Everything alright?"

"No" Krisha said simply "The abbey is low on Hot root so...bit grumpy,we need some more and no one seems to want to go get some"

Minsc happens to be walking past and smiles as he offers his help "I can be going to get the Hot root if you like Mother Krisha, it would be a most present idea for a walk"

Krisha smiles now, "You would? That be great..go now, get it now..I NEED IT!" She then clears her throat "Please...."

Minsc chuckles and bows "But of course I shall go now and have it to you by dinner."And he keeps his promise...ok it's more after dinner but still before bed when he gets back with the Hot root for the badger and some for the abbey.

Krisha is happy when she got the Hot root and had a late night snack of Hotroot and sour cream soup with some toast with...yes Hot root.Yes she will make sure this Hot root lasts cause its so so SO000000000000000000 good!
