LOG:

Deniz was busy fixing one of the boats, the main one in fact and had been working on it the past few hours.

Aqua quietly walked up the shore to where the river was , not too far from the sea coast but also making sure there was a for sure river current.She had her newborn cub with her.

Baxtor had followed, then he is a guard so it made sense to make sure a fellow otter was safe,he glanced around and then sat down along the bank of the river.

Deniz looks down from the railing he is finishing with a repair and then jumps down "Hey ya...so wots up taday mates?"

Aqua looks over and nods,"Just something before we head home soon"She says quietly and walks over to the river, carefully and gently holding the cub so the river current water goes along their back, she holds the wiggling cub a moment and then backs back up with it with a smile.

Baxtor watches and another quick glance around as he yawns a little "I can't wait till the next trip out 'ere...could be most enjoyable" He folds his arms behind his back and leans onto the tree trunk he is against.

Deniz watches and nods "It is a nice place, the sea coast but one can grow tired of it..."He hmmms "So what is with the....laying a newborn cub on the water about?" He is curious as where he lived they clearly didn't do this or least his family didn't do it.

Aqua tilts her head, "To let them feel the river current along their backs, it's a tradition among otters so they later swim, one is not an otter till you feel the river current along your back."

Baxtor nods as he grins "Yep...ya never seen one do this before? Gee...ya have a lot ta learn but not to worry we can teach ya the ways of a river otter if need be"

Deniz says, "My parents just took me and my sisters out in the boat when fishing and suddenly threw us in the water when we were maybe a season or so old, like...there learn ta swim so ya don't drown...hee he learned ta swim,though took one of me sisters a couple tries""

Aqua says, "Well we all have our ways of learning things,we are all different in that way"She smiles as she rocks her cub, whom is quiet right now"I wonder how others are at camp"

Baxtor chuckles and wipes his eyes "That has to be funny, sounds like something a hare family would do..hee hee...I wonder how those hares do learn ta swim, throw em inta the sea!" He chuckles again.

Deniz shrugs "One never knows, I meet a couple hares before but never went to that mountain place, I mean I heard the view is great but..heights are...bad, in a boat is fine but way up high is not good at all unless ye be a bird and they don't care, they love the air and they fly around"

Aqua smiles "It is likely nice but yeah not interested myself and I know some of the hares were here a few days, that was interesting but I always wondered how the badger Lord can put up with all the hares and the hares eat a lot of food"

Baxtor says, "Who knows its a guarded secret the hares keep how they eat a lot and seem to always be in good shape or never seem low on food. It's why ya don't invite hares ta a party, they will eat all ya food"

Deniz shrugs "Anyways I got the main boat fixed up and a couple others, though still working on one I am trying to figure out how ya even got it here in de first place, it likely won't make it back without some serious repair...I think I can get most of it done, least to let it get back to the camp and then finish up repairs there and on any other boats or canoes ya have"

Aqua says, "And we are glad of the help, we will likely be busy once home as there is harvest to get in or least what we have, fish to catch and likely some other repairs around camp besides the boats""

Baxtor says, "Every beast be busy in autumn time to be ready for winter. tis good to be busy and keeps ya less bored"

Deniz chuckles "I have already been busy fixing boats, a couple for another holt and well now for Camp Willow and being a member of Camp Willow will be great, and a home...well I did have one but not one of me own."

Aqua says, "Camp Willow is a wonderful place, your gonna love it there"

Baxtor grins "No place better than Camp Willow fer an otter matey!"

Deniz smiles "Can't wait to head there and maybe look around the area, of course still keep busy as said around camp but I want a little time to explore too"

Aqua nods as she looks down at her cub and smiles "I am sure your have some time to do that, just don't take too much time to explore around"

Baxtor says, "Yeah gots ta keep ya busy after all...fixing boats but also helping in other places around camp"

Deniz smiles as he finally sits down "Understand, sides I do need a little break when get there, just a couple days I mean I have been doing a lot of repairs, still plan to do repairs till we..."He smiles at the word we "We go home"

Aqua smiles "Home will be good" It's good to smile again she thinks, even if she lost her husband, life is still good and she still has her newborn cub and she is glad"I am gonna head back to campsite"She stands to head that direction.

Baxtor nods "Allow me ta escort ya Aqua."He nods to Deniz "Don't overwork ya self mate...see you later on" He then goes to make sure Aqua gets back safe.There will likely be a bonfire later too, hey the fun is still going on at the western shore for a few more days!!

Deniz watches them head off and goes to climb the rope ladder back onto the boat, "Where was I.....oh yes there is another small leak to tend to on this one and then the last one to start on"
